We came here for my son’s birthday. We didn’t reserve table. The staff greeted us politely. We arrived after 7 pm on a weekday. Not all tables were occupied though the area close to entrance was noisy. The waiter who served us was friendly. We ordered the Keg Classic which I think the most cost effective. I have top sirloin at medium cook. It was juicy and delicious. The Caesar salad is fine but if it’s colder it’s better.

This is a chain so I don't expect highly about the food, they are fine but nothing spectacular. Their tuna tartate is amusing due to the lack of flavor and the big portion of avocado. The Keg is known for their service so service and steak is as good as it should be.

Nice staff but could've checked on our table more frequently. I'm guessing they're short staffed due to covid. Caesar salad was good. Baked garlic shrimp is always good. My baseball steak was rare instead of medium rare. I asked them to cook it a bit longer but I found the steak texture changed after the re-cook. The top sirloin steak was over cooked to medium well but we ate it anyway. The mushrooms go well with the steak. Our usual go-to keg is the mansion on Jarvis Street so we will probably go to that one first before coming back to York Street.

We were here for a birthday celebration and even before we ordered the staff indicted that there will be a dessert on the house, which was very sweet. Surprisingly for a steakhouse, they had good vegetarian options, which was very tasty. The steak was good and they also had options for keto diet. Amazing ambience, very friendly staff, very good food.

Hard to beat this joint all around—fair pricing, good, consistent food, cocktails, friendly staff, open late and yeehaw. Give me a handful of steak, fries, vegetables and we’re good.

Excellent meal, excellent dining experience. Arrived in Toronto on a Friday night and had made reservations a few days before because was not sure of the dining scene, post pandemic. Exceeded expectations. Especially because it’s a very nice steak house with excellent food but very laid back atmosphere. Jeans and even shorts at dinner for some. But still everyone was respectfully dressed. Service by our server Jessica was great. Dill ranch cesar salad was great, as was shrimp cocktail. Steak cooked perfectly. The whisky peppercorn sauce is amazing. It’s like brown gravy. Would definitely dine here again!

Went for a business dinner and was a great place for big groups. Place is large and very busy, reservations required. The service was quite slow but very friendly. Recommend sharing appetizers and getting a personal entree. The baked Brie and calamari were delicious. Go for the steaks, their speciality. Desserts are large specially the chocolate cake. Prices are high.

I visited this location on Fri, Nov 3rd, 2023 for dinner and celebratory drinks with my Mum and partner. We had Brittany (sp?) who was an absolute DOLL! Brittany had asked if we were celebrating anything and was visibly moved by my partner lavishing praise on me for a recent job change. I had no idea that would mean the largest slice of cake that I have ever seen in my life. She was attentive, efficient and made us feel like we were family! We even hugged before we left, lol. I didn't get the General Manager's name who was working that evening and took the time to explain to my Mum the calorie difference between the baked potato and the twice baked potato. Spoiler: it's the olive oil. There were times when someone other than Brittany would drop off food or clear our table, including the GM, and everyone couldn't have been more pleasant. The food was divine, the drinks delicious and the ambiance perfect. Thank you to everyone working that evening, especially the kitchen, for making that night one that I won't soon forget and I look forward to visiting again soon.

This franchise was recommended by a local friend and it is truly an amazing experience. The waiter is well groomed and knows the menu well. The food is really good, but I should have asked for medium done steak instead. The medium rare is quite raw for my liking. Nonetheless the whole feel of the restaurant is really good. 5 stars all the way!

Solid 4.8 out of 5 The Keg never lets u down. Its consistent with all their menu items across all locations. Today we did lunch. Only a few locations offer it. York Street is one of them. 1 ceasar & a pint of Canadian. Order: Escargot stuffed mushrooms with garlicky butter. 5/5. Never ever has this appetizer been a dud. Bread dipping a must. Wedge salad w/blue cheese dressing. 5/5. Its huge ! And real blue cheese crumbles. Parmesean Onion Rings. 4/5. These are new to the menu and quite good unfortunately ours where a tad over fried. Prime Rib medium rare was perfection. 5/5 Double baked potato was cold though. Took it home for leftovers. 3/5 NY striploin cooked perfect rare w/fries. The fries are ok. I never understand why my husband orders them. Definitely frozen and not hand cut. Stick to the potatoes. 5/5 for steak. 2/5 for fries Billy Miner Pie 1000000/5. You have to get one with each visit. It’s a must. Mocha ice cream Carmel pie with toasted almonds on a chocolate wafer crust. Ohhhh soooo good. $175 (taxes in) + $41 tip. Service was excellent! Thanks Emma. Photos attached.

I was in the mood for steak, and this place was mentioned and recommended amongst my circle of acquaintances. Service was great, and we were regularly checked upon. The restaurant is really nice with different vibes throughout. Very clean restrooms are perfect for groups of all sizes. For dinner I tried the brie with pesto and marmalade, bacon wrapped scallops, bread and butter and a bone-in rib steak medium rare with a lobster tail. It came with mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies. The butter sauce it came with was so delicious on anything but especially the lobster. Brie was ok. Scallops were small and not really worth it so you can skip the apps and go straight to the main event items like steaks. My steak was good. Had a good sear on it and was filling at 20oz. I also enjoyed some sparkling water and an old fashioned that was properly made. Spent over $250. Not the best but not bad. Just don't get apps.

There were 19 of us for a wedding party and the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were all seated together. They were patient and gave great service. We were very impressed with absolutely everything. In the 5 hours we were there they never skipped a beat. I would highly reccomend dining here. I know they are also great with food allergies.

Pretty well presented restaurant. Recommend a reservation for a quickly service. Great decoration of the restaurant inside. The service was very good, knew all the products that they offer. Large amount of choices at the drinks and food menu. Very well presented plates.

The service was impeccable. The food was decent. We ordered the prime with a side of fries and gnocchi; and a caesar salad. We were celebrating my brother's bday and they gave us a free cake.

First, the window seats have a fantastic view of Niagara Falls. I couldn’t get enough of it. It made my experience worth it, especially since that was my first visit. The steaks were oh so juicy and well made. Kudos to the lovely lady that waited on us. I couldn’t have had a better experience.

My partner and I love coming to the Keg. Yesterday was our third time to this branch. We typically order their onion soup and their sirloin steak with a side, all of which were just delicious. We decided to change things up yesterday. I ordered my usual but my partner ordered their sirloin and live lobster entree on their lobster summer menu. We also added a Keg Caesar to our meal. Since it was our anniversary, we got a nice surprise (Billy Miner Pie on the house). The cake was creamy and not overly sweet either. Wonderful service and atmosphere, as always. Thank you for such a memorable night.

This location is fantastic. Modern interior with a casual feel. The staff is accomodating, kind and professional. There are plenty of menu items and a variety of different drinks. I personally had a medium "Prime Rib" and the "Billy Miner Pie". Both of which were very delicious and fresh. Portions were surprisingly large which is nothing to complain about. Highly Recommend.

Came for my husband's birthday!! I would say this KEG location is the best in all locations that I've been. Food are served hot and as requested. Servers are nice and friendly, very knowledgeable. Me and my husband had a great time celebrating. Patio is also nice. We stayed for almost 2 hours. You have to book a reservation first though cause there's no chance you can go in without one. I'd highly recommended!

Had the surf and turf dinner with a local IPA and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was outstanding. The creme brule we had for dessert was also delicious. The restaurant itself is also pretty appealing. I'll be back!

Good food and good service, not crazy expensive either. Had a lovely prime rib and baked potato. House red was good too. Love that horseradish sauce! Little chilly in the shade in the evening but a nice dinner in a relaxed setting. Will be back!

Stayed in downtown Toronto for a sales conference and decided to walk-in to the Keg given I have not tried it for awhile. Seated within minutes and was served right away. Called scallops wrapped with Bacon was WOW. It was so tasty I wish I have another stomach for another order. The prime-rib was nothing short of amazing. Juicy, tender, the perfect medium rare. Garlic mash was so delicious I can cry. Will definitely recommend them everyday.

Excellent food always and great service....was there with friends for birthday celebrations. Manager came around asking all diners how everything is at each table...told her about birthday celebrations for 2 ppl in our group....at end of the meal...we got free birthday ice cream cakes for the 2 birthday pals. So nice!

We went to this Keg for dinner last week after the ballet. Given it was on a Saturday night, the restaurant was very busy and noisy which hindered the quality of service and atmosphere. Wait times between getting the appetizers and entrees were so long we lost our appetites before we even ate our meals. The fried calamari which we always order at the keg was not great this time as it had too much batter and was not crispy. The bacon wrapped scallops were great. The steak was cooked well, however the fries and mushrooms were cold. Overall, I would avoid this location during peak hours/weekends as the high customer traffic clearly hinders the experience. If you are in the downtown area, I recommend going to the keg mansion as they have better service, food quality and atmosphere.

Ordered Caesar salad and onion soup for appetizer. Onion soup was well made and ceasar salad was fresh. Lamb shank was perfectly braised, fell of the bone. Gravy was expertly made and flavourful. Prime rib was ok. I actually expected more. Although it was a mid week night and not too crowded, the service was slow and we had to wait long for some garlic mayo.

I just step out of this place. Note that I try not to give low stars but: I ordered a blue cheese fillet. It was as salty as I only ate 2 bites with my side. When I asked the waitress to take my food she was upset that I ate 2 bites. First, if I didn’t try it, why should I return it? Second, she was afraid I don't pay for it😂😅. For 50$?! Seriously?! I should’ve not paid for the the terrible food, but I won’t go through any sort of conversation with those rude waitresses. About drink, I wanted to go with gluten free options and the servant answer was: I don’t know. She seems she doesn’t like what she is doing. Rude staff. Terrible customer service. Terrible food Sorry but it doesn’t worth a penny. Update: for the gluten-free drink that I ordered, I ended up at the hospital with serious reactions.

One of the best meals I have ever had, pepicorn steak and twice baked potato. My wife agreed her prime meal was also one of her favorite meals. To top it off, the atmosphere was just lovely. There were so many choices on the menu we wanted to try, we will definitely going to go back before our vacation is over. I just hope they open some restaurants in the Western part of the United States.

Was here on the night of June 19th with my friend and I gotta say everything here was AMAZING! From the service at the bar table like both the guys were the nicest and sweetest to the drinks and the food like everything we ordered was AMAZING. Like a 100/10!!! Will definitely be here again soon. Thank you for having us!

The Keg is just sadly not what it used to be. The menu has been condensed and the service has too. I found our server to be quite unpleasant compared to what we were used to in past experiences here. My steak was quite tough.

First off , we called or ordered in and the staff member repeatedly said to go online they weren't willing to take her order by phone. They eventually listened to my request and started to take our order. They knew nothing about the menu and since we were picking up decided to go in and place the order there. When we arrived the staff member was new and very nice we felt better The management also was at the desk I really felt they heard my displeasure about not being willing to take my order and the staff was very nice . So we ordered and waited 20ish minutes defeating the purpose of a pickup we still were positive got our order they forgot our bread went back in and they apologized about the bread and gave us a nice bottle of water. We drove home hungry and very much anticipated our dinner. 🙄😟 It was proper mashed was hard we found rotten potato within it. I am taking a picture of the rotten potato. We do eat a lot at the Keg we like their menu and we like their atmosphere. And have chosen the Keg . The steaks were not done right the mushrooms were hard and wrinkly. The veg was good the bread was stale and very hard. I was very sad when we woke up today and looked at our food which was placed in the fridge and went to bed hungry.

Nice meal with friendly service. Stopped in solo for a steak and the keg delivered, as you would expect a steakhouse to do. Was seated quickly and attended to without much delay. Good meal, lots of flavour and nice service.

Last night my son took me to this restaurant for a birthday surprise. I can honestly say the experience was wonderful. The service was excellent - our waiter’s name was Heather. I had the salmon and my son had steak that was very tasty. After the meal was finished, I was surprised with a slice of delicious ice cream cake with a candle. A beautiful evening!💕

Hi - While the start of the night didn't go so well, manager Chad and server Kasia turned the night around. We waited at the bar for 30mins before being seated. Not terrible for dinner time and without a reservation in downtown busy location. The problem came when no one came over to provide service or even a name of our server for 20mins. This might have been as a result of being placed in the far back room away from the front of the restaurant or not nearby the bar or maybe due to having two other large dining parties in the same room. Nonetheless, we waited and after waving down someone who I could speak to, manager Chad came by to apologize for the lack of service, there was a mix up and ensured we had a server shortly. Kasia came by and she did a fantastic job to ensure our table and other patrons in the area that were not part of the parties already there had service. We appreciate having been heard and listened to, appreciate getting service when asked and not having to wait any additional time thereafter. If Chad and Kasia hadn't come, I was about to walk out. So thank you for doing what you did and yes, you did turn the slight sour note of night around. Food as usual that I've come to associate the Keg with was fantastic! I really did enjoy the Steak/Lobster combination with Oscar (shrimp and scallops). That sauce was creamy, salty and quite delicious! The accompaniments were fresh and paired well with the meal. My husband very much enjoyed his prime rib, cooked to his preference. Drinks were well curated by the bar and wine with our dinner was fantastic. Thank you again for turning the night around and we would love if the compliments be given to recognize manager Chad and server Kasia. We will certainly be back.

I made a reservation for 730(during the leaf game) and asked for a quiet booth for me and my wife for date night. Although busy, there were plenty of seats available after further observation. Our 1st attempt was a 2 person table between a bench of other seats(clearly not quiet). Asked for a booth(as requested) and was brought around to the back of the bar. So I'm not sure where quiet was missed but sitting us directly behind a bar area with TV's and fans watching the game clearly wasn't it. Our server arrived and was devoid of personality. Did the bare minimum to make us feel like a welcomed guest. While waiting for our drinks, a table of 6 males was sat directly across from us to add to the "quiet" atmosphere. Needless to say most of our conversation was yelling at each other. Our server took our order and disappeared. We both ordered 12 ounce New York keg classics. Cesar salads, and french onion soup. I had to ask the server if there was bread service which she finally brought to us. My ginger ale was gone when our meals arrived and the server never checked on us. She made several appearances at the male table but literally walked past us without even a check in. The food took an extra amount of time to get to us. The steaks at least saved the night. My med cooked with philly char was on point. After 3 attempts I had a good steak at the Keg on try 4. The loaded baked potato was dry and because my server was absent I was able to ask another for some butter. Our server again didn't follow up to see if the meal was good to refill drinks or to check on us. We had coffee and billy miner pie which again were good. Overall, the atmosphere and service were awful but the food was excellent. We won't be back to this location and I'd look elsewhere if you want to be treated well.

Came here for a date night on a Friday evening and it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. The restaurant is huge and the atmosphere was nice. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly. The food was good and the portion sizes are quite big, I still had some leftovers to take home. I recommend coming here.

The Keg is a fantastic restaurant, especially if you're looking for a great patio and a place that caters well to groups. It's tucked away from the street, providing a more private and relaxed atmosphere. However, the service was just okay. I would advise against dining at the outside bar, as the staff seemed to treat it like a break room and made us feel uncomfortable with their stares while we were eating and drinking. Nonetheless, the happy hour at the Keg is a must-try. On the downside, the wings were a letdown with their small portion size and limited dressing options. Situated in the financial district, the restaurant attracts plenty of office-goers. One shining aspect was the bartender's exceptional service, which was consistently genuine throughout our visit.

Well what I have to say it that is one of the best steakhouse I have ever try in Toronto! The steak are amazing, but also the dessert are unbelievable! I’m in love with the location too and the interior design, so cool and trendy! The staff is very professional and kind, so every time I’m in Toronto for business, a visit here is a must and at the end, its a confirmation of the quality of this restaurant!! See you next time!

The atmosphere was warm inviting and the overall facilities very clen. We were attending my girlfriends birthday celebration. The 3 servers that atrended to our group were amazing, courteous, friendly and very accommodating, providing an extra table for birthday cakes at a moments notice. They suggested entrees and the drinks to complement our meals and made our experience even better by delivering exceptional customer service that exceeded our expectations. We were treated like true VIPs. I do not recall the name of all the servers however Matt and the other two gentlemen were amazing. The food was great, right portions and well presented. My steak was cooked to perfection, every cut was like butter and consistently tasted wonderful with every bite. I was a little sad when it finished. My compliments and congratulations to the entire staff for meeting our expectation of a wonderful meal "KEG style" and exceeding our expectations with outstanding customer service. Well done. We will be planning and attending other functions at this location. We'll see you soon. Best regards

(+++) We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and we had an AMAZING time! It was my first time at the Keg and I was not disappointed. The service was well-timed (shout out Alyssa), the ambience was perfect, and the food was freaking great. (-) The ONLY thing that could have been better was the fact that a few of my escargots had sand in them which, as you know if you've experienced it, is quite an uncomfortable sensation on your teeth and takes a while to get over.

What is going on with The Keg on York Street. Although my server was pleasant and efficient. I miss the elegant aura the place used to have before Covid. The Asian girl (blonde) on the reception desk was kind of rude and almost pushed my husband accidentally on our way out tonight, no apology. It seems she didn’t want to be there. Nobody on the reception was very professional either. Christmas Eve 2021. The service in this location used to be flawless. I hope the management read this review and try to be more selective in their hiring. Food is always delicious.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at The Keg on York street. We ordered a bunch of apps, drinks and mains. I got the 10oz prime rib with a baked potato. It was so tender and flavourful. Matt was an excellent server. He was very patient with all my questions and requests and explained everything. Terrific service and food! Thank you!

The best experience ever me and my wife had out of all the keg locations. The server was very nice (sorry I forgot her name), me and my wife were celebrating our first week of marriage and wanted some good food. After being disappointed at another restaurant, we came here to satiate our hunger and possibly have some good food. Honestly, we were happy with the overall welcome and service. The manager that Saturday night Jen (not sure about the name, but she was wearing a yellow dress), was super nice and was very kind. 10/10 will return to this location with family/friends for more good times. Thank you guys
