Short review: As a British person living in Toronto, I have to say this is the best Sunday roast dinner I’ve had in over Five years. Homemade Yorkshire pudding, apple sauce and excellent vegetables and potatoes. Excited to come back and try their other meats in future! Beef or Chicken would be amazing for the price point - or even lamb.

We have been to MoK a few times now and I will say they are consistently great! Friendly welcomes and service to start. Then there is the food. FANTASTIC! We ordered the Scotch Egg to start and their 2-for-1 special with the Fish & Chips and the Curry Chicken Pie. The Scotch Egg was excellent, especially with a pint. The Fish is the best I've had in the City and spoils you for others attempts. The Tartar Sauce is made in house and I think they could jar and sell it on its own. Their Pie's are also on point. Lots of flavor. Their chef is clearly very talented. We intend to go back for their Sunday Roast specials in the near future.

Amazing fish and chips---best we've had in several years of lots of f&c all over the place. Nice tenders, reasonable prices, and a cool vibe.

If you are looking for authentic british cuisine, this is IT! As an ex-pat, I had the best experience here. I had the british ale pie and the triple cooked chips and both tasted like home. You must go here!!

One of the only pubs you can get really good quality English food. The tartar sauce is to die for - all the food exceeded my expectations and is definitely worth the price for the amount you get. The outside seating area in my opinion is the best on Ossington. The bartender Davey was always checking on our table, and was very quick with our drinks. I highly recommend the Ceasers!! I highly recommend visiting this place, especially to watch sports on the weekends.

One of the rare bars on the ossington strip that's got the liveliness, eccentricity and belligerent comfort you'll come back to time and time again. We had a patio outside with friends and colleagues, servers were friendly and efficient. Sliding into a table was easy as downing some boozy beverages. ..Would come back for mad rappin' John who'll mumble rap for change. He does table side entertainment

Amazing fish and chips. I ordered takeway and asked the waitress/bar-tender how long it takes, she said 15 minutes so I asked for a Nigroni. The takeaway came in within 5 minutes, so had to chug my glass. Just wanted to say that a tip wasn't in order, hope she had a nice day.

This place is such a gem. They just hired a new chef and the food is incredible. So wonderfully unexpected. Really feels like a traditional British pub in one of the best areas in Toronto. Casual vibe with great food. Such a good time.

Old, dark pub and what you expect of a basic pub - sticky menus and tables, and a little rough round the edges. Food does the job - ordered the steak and ale pie with mash and mushy peas. Pie had minced beef whereas the Firkin pub’s pie has several solid pieces of beef and a better crust. Drinks are too expensive e.g. a Guinness is $12 which was off-putting so didn’t order one. Good location with outdoor seating, however there may be better options elsewhere. Servers are pretty friendly. There was a very drunk person who kept shouting and caused people to stare, which perhaps the servers could have asked to tone is down slightly. Overall, I’d recommend this place if you don’t mind paying more than average for a very basic pub and want to watch a game.

I'd heard great things about the menu, so went tonight for takeout. The service was friendly and prompt and the vibe was excellent, people enjoying themselves. The fish and chips were next level; excellent chips, the fish was perfect, the mushy peas were actually tasty and the house-made tartar sauce was different than what I'm used to in a delightful way - I think I noticed cucumber and a little garlic and yogurt? At any rate, we were super pleased and looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. As others have noted, it's pretty loud - too loud for me but everyone else seemed fine with it. I'll look forward to the patio as it warms up.

Would definitely go back here! We took a friend from England who confirmed it is indeed an authentic English pub. We ordered four items from the menu and ate family style, and everything was scrumptious!

Such an incredible little pub with a lovely atmosphere. Emigrated to Canada from England 2.5 years ago and this is the first pub I’ve been to that feels like home. Including the food!! Had the Sunday roast with a sticky toffee pudding chaser and it was superb. Thank you to the staff for a warm welcome and for spoiling us. And bravo Adam Squires; you’re a magician in the kitchen sir!

What a corker!!! MoK is diamond find and the food!!!! The roast beef on a Sunday was cooked to perfection and the sticky toffee pudding is outrageously good! Bravo Adam Squires, bravo sir!!!

I wasn't sure what kind of bar this was, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. First, very friendly female staff member. Second, I'm English, and my instincts told me not to order the fish and chips. We ordered pie and mash, and the fish and chips. The pie was amazing and the fish wasn't bad. Extra points for the mushy peas. Will definitely return.

It's a bit noisy, but it's to be expected at a pub. The food was phenomenal. I got roast beef, and it was literally falling apart. The horseradish sauce was so tasty, and it came with an actual decent serving of vegetables. As for the service? They were friendly and welcoming. Not by so often as to be annoying, but they never forgot I was there. 💯 % will be going again.

Staff - super fun and great at what they do. Food - the best English/pub food in the city easy. Atmosphere and drinks are amazing. Can sit in there with a beer talking to staff in day and fully dancing and party by night. Great place

I had the pies by Squire and it was really really good. The bar tender poured my wine like I was her best friend (very healthy pours). Great vibe and chill people. Definitely recommend.

Well priced craft beers, and amaaaazing Filipino tacos and other bar snacks by Tocino Boys (this kitchen moves around so if he’s not there anymore I’m sorry, but give it a Google and you might find them in the back of another bar nearby). The small patio outside is great for people watching!

Some of the friendliest staff and patrons on the Ossington strip. Great place to go for pre-drinks, drink drinks, post drinks, pre-shots, shot-shots, post-shots, etc. Also, the food is beyond amazing. Have had every single item on the rotating menu over the past 6 months, they are all winners. Beef and Ale Pie. 😝 Fish and Chips. 😇 Fries! 😎 Visit immediately, but vacate my bar stool when I arrive. 🙃

Best english pub fare in Toronto. Also they have the best fries in the city. Thick cut, crispy yet airy, and perfectly seasoned. Chef’s know what their doing with their Fish & Chips and meat pies. Beyond the food, at night it’s a great spot to get drinks and dance your night away. The staff are all honestly A+

I went to watch a World Cup game - England vs. Senegal on Sunday afternoon. It's a small pub but I got there early so there were plenty of spots (FYI they don't take reservations). As an expat, it's the most Authentic British pub I've found in Downtown Toronto - the sausage roll tasted better than ones from Greggs. iykyk. I would definitely visit again for the great atmosphere and food!

Always fun to be there on the weekend. Especially Friday and Saturday. The good thing is if you feel like hitting the club they are just around the corner.

This is such a cosy little place, and the food was absolutely amazing - just the kind of savoury, comforting food that I associate with British cuisine! The server was lovely as well. My only complaint was the chair was a bit uncomfortable for my middle-aged body!

Landed here unexpectedly. Living in Toronto now for 2 years. Missing Fish and Chips and a proper pie (& pint) this hit differently. The place itself is a dark British Pub Style environment. Great spot for a group of friends who want to catch up, just you and your mate, or couples and families. Great options on the draught. I'm shocked to see the rating so low, probably not sure what people are expecting. The gent running the place, Larry! Top guy, guy in the kitchen has to be from the UK, can tell by the pie! Not losing that accent, bloody Kent! Top bloke, even delivering pints, not so British but ey, when in Rome! Top enviroment great food, has to be one of the best places in Toronto! Easily in my Top 5!

Man of Kent is a cool unassuming spot with a laid back vibe and some delicious Irish food. Usually it also has good music playing and is a fun spot to sit down eat, and drink, or just hang out with friends. Watering hole to go to before the night out or at the end of the night - or even to spend your night there! I tried the fish finger burger with a side of fries - it was a good meal. Satisfying and filling.

Nice cozy little hole in the wall bar! Perfect for parties if you want to have a whole bar to yourself with friends! It easily fit 60+ people when I attended a birthday party recently! no one else came In, drinks were a little pricey but other than that. It was a pleasant experience. I'd go back!

Have visited MOK many times, and have always had an amazing time whenever I visited. Whether it be during the summer (on their amazing patio) for Sunday BBQ’s or during the winter for come comfort food, MOK is a vibe all year round! Atmosphere: - dope ambiance, with appropriate lighting for the vibe - noise level is typical of any pub/bar/resto on Ossington. Great place to have some dinner and drinks with friends. Service: - Staff is always great. regularly checks up on the table even when during max capacity, without being intrusive - great selection of spirits & beers on tap, and bartenders mix a variety of well-balanced cocktails typical to any pub/bar Food: - the STAR of the show - Pies by Squires has provided MOK with a traditional English pub menu with a modern twist & flair - the food was fresh, flavourful and you can tell that top tier ingredients were used - highly recommend taking out a frozen Pies by Squires pie to also enjoy at home. the Bone Marrow & Short Rib pie is so fire - From a 2 star Michelin resto in London, to Buca here in Toronto, to here at MOK; Chef Adam Squires is a prince in the Toronto food scene, and his reputation definitely precedes him Price: - amazing value for the price point - the price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food
