The WORST experience ever! Never coming back. Not my friends,  not my business partners and of course, not my family. I don't know where to start: 1. We ordered the oyster. Price $41 for 12 pc. I have never seen this small size of oysters. You can see in my picture the size of a teaspoon. 2. We get our appetizer and main course at the same time. Do I have to eat a steak and ousters together? 3. I've to ask for medium-well steak and get well-done. My husband ordered a fillet minion, and it's not a fillet minion, a regular piece of meat. 4. We don't have a plate for appetizers and ask for them. What do we get? The server put it in front of my husband six plates and left us. Self-serving? 5. For kids, we ask to drink without ice, and, of course, the server brings a drink with ice. 6. Epic, our bill. We needed two separates bill for two families, and a server brought the wrong bill. And she totally forgets who is ordered what. That's not all, but I think that's enough.

The food was great but the waitress showed a lot of sass towards us for no reason. Maybe she just expected that we should order alcohol, appetizers, main course and desserts? She was a rude person in general, I’m not sure why she’s working there if she hates her job.

Update: Group of us went for dinner last night. First we have to pay $10 each to be able to get in the restaurant. This is so unfriendly, but the host said we can get refund of the entrance fee when we spend over $30 each person. It was so disappointing that when we try to collect the entrance fee back but the host insisted to see all the individual receipts even our bill was enough to cover. We shared the bill but one couldn’t locate her receipt - so she been denied the refund! The restaurant server were great. Too bad the entrance host completely damaged our view to this restaurant. Review from before: A nice place to handout have meals and dance! There are different themes every night of the week. A fun place to hand out with friends.

I called to restaurants at 9:30 PM on Tuesday March 15 I asked how much is The cover charge? they said $20 . I went there they said $50 to you go in. Is it funny? I called the again I said why price go up so fast ! Operator said I’m sorry mangier said put the price up. You can’t play with people. When Iranian guy bought this place I was knowing he can’t handle this business. Better sale the place before you loose more money.

This place is not suitable for big parties. They don't have enough servers and securities for parties. It might be good restaurant but the worst club, bar. We ordered food she brought us someone else order and left the food no managers around to complain. Then we ordered drinks after 45 minutes she brought us the order no apologies. Reserved for Tuesday dinner. The environment looks nice. Its quiet. Service was good. Perhaps they are not busy so he came to check if we enjoy the meal and wine. We had mussels which was very tasty. I would say it’s a must have. Sea bass was just okay not good nor bad. Pasta was exactly what we expected👍 yummy😋 a come back place.

My wife hosted a bday party here and had fun but the dancefloor emptied before 1am. Dj played nice tunes but not really dancing tunes and kinda didn't feel the crowd. Awesome food and pretty good priced pitchers. Overall a nice hangout if u wanna dance for only a couple of hours.

We went to Marlowe today with my office gathering, witch is our office does ones a month. It's a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. our server was extremely knowledgeable and great recommendations Tandoori Salmon with vegetables and mushrooms, and they have an option of Halal Meat. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Richmond Hill. The service is unmatched. The food is absolutely amazing-everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Highly recommend !

We had an amazing dinner out celebrating a birthday. Eric was our server he was funny cool and professional at the same time. Everything wad good tonight atmosphere and food we will be returning maybe for some salsa dancing!

11 of us went there last night for a girls night out! We were seated around 9:20PM and no one bothered to come check on us and take our orders until 10PM. One of my friends was extremely thristy and asked for a glass of water, we waited 30 minutes and still saw no sign of water anywhere. We asked again for the water the waitress then told us that they didn't have glasses at the moment and that we had to wait. We literally waited 45 minutes to get a glass of water, our food came out before the water did. One of the girls is vegetarian and ordered a veggie pasta. They brought her pasta with extra bacon she had to return the food 3 times and all three times there was meat on the pasta. We felt sorry for the waitress, she looked really overwhelmed as she was new and took on a group of 11 on her own. Which is such big mistake, there should of been some helping her out!! The whole vibe of marlowes was overall such a big disappointment.

The food quality is reasonable , excellent service. The shrimp taco was very good n fish sandwich is big. However, the actual food was different than photos show on Instagram. salad and fries are not included. The restaurant is very spacious and nicely decorated. They have a dance floor for ppl to dance from Wed till Sunday. Thursday is lady night with free admission.

NEW COMMENT: I revisited the place after almost a year. The management has changed and I believe everything is changed. It is not comparable with the old one and even is on a par with high quality bars. We ordered beer mixer with whiskey. It was perfect. The quality of the Food was as good. The new staff were helpful. Therefore, they deserve a new comment and a better rating compared to the old management system. OLD COMMENT: I generally don't like to give a place 1 star but because of the rude behavior of the waiter, they deserve it. The food was OK (4/5). We had delicious pizza and an average cesar salad. Nothing is more important than how the staff behaves in a restaurant! When he gave us our bill he insisted that it is correct however it was not! After 10 minutes of argument he went and reluctantly changed it. He confessed the mistake but his poor reaction caused my friend to be bothered. I don't want to visit here again since I felt disrespected. The worst feeling you may have because of money matters.

The food was amazing the atmosphere gorgeous love love the hats on the chandelier at the bar..the staff is so courteous and very friendly never rushing me. Truly a great place to go out for anniversary party or even just a night out with friends. Thank you so much. Best time out at a gorgeous restaurant in a very long time.

Decent restaurant with a mix of Italian and seafood choices. The oysters were okay, I wish it was served with Tabasco rather than wings hot sauce. The Cajun shrimp was really good. Check them out!

The food was very tasty. We were a table of 10. Everyone enjoyed their choices. And since we went there on a Friday they had the Dj which created a cool ambient. Amazing experience! I would definitely go back since I already craved their Jambalaya dish!!

Be careful eating indoors at this establishment as I witnessed 3 different employees working inside the restaurant and not wearing masks. Two had masks on hanging around their chin and only pulled up when interacting with customers. It's too bad as the food was pretty good. Would give 4 stars if the employees followed COVID protocols indoors.

I used to frequent Marlowes years ago under diff ownership. This is my first visit in a few years. It has more of Persian menu now. The food was quite good and we didn’t have to wait for a table. My complaints and the reason for 3 stars are; They are not asking for proof of vaccination. The restaurant has an upscale atmosphere but our server did not fit the image. She was dressed more to work at hooters wearing a tiny tank toexposing her entire belly. We ordered a bottle of wine that arrived after our food. The waitress had no idea how to open the bottle of wine and struggled. It was painful to watch. She then poured the wine into our glasses as if she was pouring beer. Did not even allow us to taste the wine as servers are supposed to do in nice restaurants. The service was very slow and i really doubt the servers are smart serve certified. I suggest better hiring and training of your staff to reflect the atmosphere of the restaurant.

I was here for company lunch event. The restaurant was not busy during this event. Staff was friendly and allowed me to take some pictures. Food was good but not extraordinary. I cannot comment on food value vs. pricing. It is located in a all-restaurant plaza and in my experience finding parking spot needs patience.

The food, ambience, and service were all excellent! As appetizers, we shared the shrimp cocktail (dynamite shrimp), which had a little kick to it, and the calamari, which was crispy and not oily, both were fantastic! For the main course we tried the saffron chicken, which I highly recommend and was my overall favorite, and the super food salad which was made with quinoa - a very healthy choice and yummy! The portions were generous and the staff were courteous and very friendly. I wish I could go there a Thursday night for live music. In my to do list for the next visit!

We were there yesterday. Very cozy looking interior design (it affects the taken pictures haha). Food was so good and waitress was very nice! Towards to music choice, you can order your favorite songs, if you don't like the music played by DJ. He is open to any suggestions. Overall, we had really great time there. Thank you so much.

We had a private dinner Birthday party on a Sunday evening and the service, food and atmosphere was perfect. All of our guests enjoyed the drinks and all the menu items on the fixed price menu. The Beef Short Rib was especially delicious. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant to our guests. I would definitely have an event here again.

Would not recommend! Service was bad, food was bland. Seated and waited a long time for a menu, apparently they did not have enough for all the tables. When it finally came, the menus were tattered and so worn out, I feel like that the first indication a restaurant doesn’t care. Ordered beverages, server brought them and a bartender literally ran up on me and grabbed it out of my hand as I was going to sip, citing it was the wrong drink I got. The way she did it was extremely rude and I imagine that she was then going to give that drink to someone else. Gross! Ordered fish tacos as an app, it came and then we had to wait long for side plates to eat it. Ordered pasta and a pizza. The pizza was good, didn’t even eat the pasta. Would not come back, so many other BETTER options in the same plaza. Also after ten they play music which is nice but beware it seemed like mainly house music.

We were attracted to Marlowe when we saw their lunch menu offerings. There were fish wrap, Buffalo chicken wrap, taco, steak & mushroom sandwich .. etc on the menu. When we arrive on a Wednesday summer day, we were happy to see their semi- enclosed patio and decided to give it a try. The area was almost empty and the sofa area was nice & relaxing. We ordered a chicken wrap but we were surprised we can only add one of the side .. $7 Caesar salad or $8 truffle fries.. NOT BOTH!! It’s not like these are best deal in town and I was taken off guard. Anyways.. we picked the Caesar salad and just get a regular order of fries instead. Food was ok, service was too busy to check us for 35 mins, so we go to the bar to get our check.

The food was decent and the way they had the restaurant set up was good. We sat outside and they social distancing protocols in place. The servers were nice but the pricing of our two single malt Glenfiddich was ridiculous and it was watered down before we added club soda. It was almost clear looking. Almost $40 after tax for two drinks was also way over the top. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant/bar in the area and the drinks were not only cheaper, but they tasted better as well. Overall, I was disappointed with our experience at Marlowe. Will be a while before I think of going back.

I came here to have dinner with my boyfriend a couple weeks back, I had an absolutely incredible experience!!! This was my first time coming to this restaurant and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere, music, food and drinks were all exceptional. Our server Liel was so wonderful!! She was extremely helpful and kind and tended to us the entire night, we always had everything we needed and see came to check on us consistently throughout the entire evening. It was truly exceptional service. I will definitely be coming back!!

We had purchased this groupon as it seemed great value for a meal for to including a glass of wine. Starter - We both had a Salad as a starter (choice of two) Main - I had Chicken, Hubby had Chili Pasta with Shrimp. (better selection than the groupon details) Desert - No Choice - Cheesecake with a coulis. 1 Glass of house wine each. We ordered a Stella (was skunky and tasted bad) was replaced with a different beer. Our bill was weird and this is what I am not a fan of. We had to pay the tax on the groupon - Fine $13.00 on $99.00 groupon, plus our beers and tip. We were then told for Groupon we must pay cash, no credit or debit. I was totally uncomfortable with this. When I got home, I researched the menu and calculated the prices of our dishes, and it tuned out, the groupon offer is actually more expensive than just going there and ordering from the menu. I would NOT recommend this groupon, its is not value for money. I would however recommend this restaurant as the Food was Fantastic, our Server was Amazing and the ambiance was cool for a midweek date night. We will return, and use the regular menu.

Took the wife here for a mid-week date on a Thursday when there was live music. Amina made our drinks to perfection! Food came super fast. That. Lamb. Was. Divine. Have the Lamb. Finish off with a slice of decadent cheesecake. Return? Yes please.

Would not recommend. We had a birthday party which we reserved prior to attending. Upon arrival the venue seemed nice and clean while another party was being held. Once seated. Our server took our orders and brought us our drinks. When he returned we only received the alcohol and no mix. When we asked for mix and ice he came with a cup of mix with ice and a spoon to distribute to our drinks. From there it was all down hill. He messed up everyone's orders. People received things they did not order. He refused to write things down when we ordered. He would constantly return and be like what did you order. I never received my dinner and was sharing with my friends. Drinks took forever to come. It was an absolute disaster. Believe me there was a lot more then being discussed here. After complaining to the manager. They ended up compensating our dinner and we were given a new server as the other one was just an absolute mess. Let's just say, if we had her from the beginning. You wouldn't be reading this. Long story short, if you know you have a party with a large crowd don't send your D squad in. However I did enjoy the music. But the experience for my friends and for the birthday boy will be definitely be one for the books. I do appreciate management for stepping in and stopping the hemorrhaging as we were all fed up with the lousy service. I will definitely never go back. Worst restaurant experience ever.

We were at Restaurant on Saturday night around 7pm, we did not have any reservation, they gives us nice table by the window. First we went to Maxies they said no table without reservation we got disappointed the way said by this company, that way we decided to dining in to Marlowe we are really appreciate Marlowe to give us a nice table and awesome service, we did the right choice . The nice waitress come took our order, she suggest the drinks we loved the drink menu , she was very polite and she made our night unforgettable. The food was great, and nice ambiance Thank you Marlowe, well defiantly come again 💕🌹🌹

We had a party of 10 booked for Saturday night… when we first arrived we sat at the table for at least 25minutes before anyone acknowledged us actually I had to wave someone over… then waited 30mins for drinks some were forgotten and then waited additional minutes. We ordered food appetizers and dinner it all came at the same time which we did not want and no cutlery to boot had to wait for that… and no room to eat since we were just bombarded with all the food at once… waitress didn’t even come check on us. DJ was terrible she would cut through songs hard and didn’t go with the crowd. I talked to a manger on the dance floor told him how dissatisfied we were … he did nothing. Finally we got the bill and we’re charged an automatic 18% gratuity on top of our bill the service was horrible and was not deserved. When we mentioned it to our server about everything that had happened she said she wasn’t aware!! Well ya because you didn’t check on us and you got the tip probably why we got bad service because the tip was automatically on there so they probably don’t care. I work in the service industry and this was by far the worst experience I ever had.

Me and my friends decide to finally go back to dance and spend time together after this long pandemic situation and we are very happy about our choice... Marlowe Restaurant & Bar. Nice ambience, good music and the nice waitress come took our order, she suggest the drinks we loved the drink menu , she was very polite and she made our night unforgettable. I organized a birthday dinner/celebration for a friend of mine and some guests. Now, let me tell you about our night. First, the seating was prompt even though we were a large party and arrived early. The venue is beautiful! It’s been about 6 years since I was there before everything has changed. It’s much more upscale and so I was excited. Then our waiter showed up to take our drink order. I was a bit concerned he didn’t write anything down, and so I was not surprised that our drink order was incorrect. That alone wouldn’t have been enough to spur my mood, but factor in that it took about 30 minutes to get our round of drinks set the tone for the evening. This, unfortunately continued throughout the evening. Our party ordered dinner - which also took about 45 minutes. But there was a larger group there who arrived at the same time and we are also 12 in our party, so I could look past the delay. But, like the drinks, the order was wrong. One member of our group never received his order, despite placing it 3 times. We ended up sharing a portion of our meals with him. Another member ordered gnocchi and it arrived cold, dry and sauce was almost powdery. At this point, we were 2 rounds in and 3 hours of our time was lost by the time we saw dinner. Dessert didn’t fair better. Although the food was really good for most of us (well, those that got our orders) the dessert never came. And we were now waiting for an hour before our drink orders were filled. We had to complain to the manager before our waiter was replaced with someone extremely competent. She did this really novel thing and it was utterly innovative - she wrote down our order and got it out to us in 10 minutes! She was excellent! I don’t understand why we couldn’t have had her in the beginning. So, to summarize: Venue - 4/5 - it’s gorgeous there Food quality - 3.5 / 5. Majority of the food was great and flavourful, but some dishes could have been made better Service - -3/5 with the first waiter; 5/5 for the second. It’s hit or miss with who you will get to serve you, but if your drink orders start off wrong. Pay the bill and leave. The whole experience just really soured our experience.

- The booking system doesn't work - They close at 9!!!! the Google info is not accurate According to their google profile the restaurant is open till 11pm, when we arrive at 8:30 the kitchen was CLOSED. ​ I booked a table through their online booking app. I got an email with the confirmation. When we got there the host told us she doesn't see the reservation and kept showing us her tablet . We showed our booking, but it didn't matter, she said it is not in her tablet... They could have been more nice, we drove 20 min there and we booked in advanced just to find out they are close. Maybe just apologize instead of keep saying you didn't book it is not on my tablet... Anyway: they closed at 9 and we couldn't get in. Adding after their replay: I was there at 8:30, I wasn't set down and the host asked us to leave. I contact the booking platform, they confirm I had a valid booking and the restaurant didn't know how to operate the system... I was also received a $20 gift from the booking system The response from the owner is NOT true.

Amazing place, great for a night out and get together with friends! Great atmosphere, wonderful service and delicious food. Patio is big and we walked inside to see the place. It is an amazing space for corporate events, parties, engagements, baby shower and more. We absolutely loved it. We tried some appetizers, seafood pasta, kale salad and pizzas. The one with mushrooms is out of this world yummy. Very good international menu for any taste. Dessert menu looked amazing too but will have to come back for that.
