I made my first reservation here the day that the chef-owner carved a deer leg in a stunning display of authentic PR in the face of protesters. It’s been my ‘special occasion’ dinner ever since. Every meal is fantastic and exciting, with ingredients you don’t come by every day. The wild boar and duck are always treated beautifully, and the drinks are top notch. Really an excellent place to treat your significant other.

This cozy and ultra-sustainable haunt is a new absolute favorite in Toronto. The food is legendary; serious culinary talent and quality on display. Mains perfectly balance their sides and the chef’s tasting menu puts you in intimate company with the kitchen for a delightful experience over 2 hours of decadent courses for a price that isn’t actually unreasonable at all. This is Michelin grade food. No questions asked. Not a weak note throughout. Lots of time and care and special attention to the marriages of flavors involved in each plate. If there is any critique, it is merely to say that the food here is such a rich and luxurious indulgence that you may leave feeling overstuffed and simply overwhelmed by the character of these savory treats. Meat is forward on the menu - and vegetarians have a few options but really this place is not designed for them: that’s totally ok just noting that here. Again: it’s rigorously sustainable and we love that. You’ll also find multiple presentations of ultra-buttery duck liver and reductions and sauces that truly coat the tongue. If you’re not into Umami… oh boy you might struggle here. Genuinely some of the sides and additions and integrated extras inside dishes compete in flavor with the main elements therein - that takes real culinary mastery. It’s wonderful to see. Overall: Really delicious, delicate and robust in equal parts - servers were very convivial and had a lot of patience for our weird schedule (although we made our original reservation time without issue in the end). I’m impressed with their flexibility either way. Would certainly return and will whole heartedly recommend anyone to come here! Enjoy.

2021 UPDATE: Hallelujah the patios are open. Antler was one of the first spots that brought me back to the Toronto food scene and as usual the team did NOT disappoint. Friendly and helpful service staff, food nothing short of exceptional, and awesome cocktail & wine selections. I’ve made my way through the menu and so far no complaints. Went to Antler for my birthday in 2020 and what a treat it was. Every dish was cooked to perfection, not overly complicated, which really allowed the quality of ingredients to take centre stage. I love love love chef Hunter and his approach to game meats and foraging. Particularly enjoyed the fried mushrooms - I find myself thinking about it. Fried mushrooms that taste like chicken nuggets (but a thousand times better)!! Only at Antler. Cannot wait to dine there again this year.

Everything here was so delicious, I would highly recommend this place if you like to try new kinds of meats as everything on the menu is so good. My favourite was the elk tartare, would come back and order just a ton of those. Ambience is nice, tables are a little tight but nice enough for parties of 4-5.

The food was delicious. Meat oriented to be sure. It's obvious great care is taken to prepare the meals as well as thought given to the composition of the flavours and textures. I went there with a friend who has been a chef for 30 years. He felt the same way. If you go make sure to give yourself some time to really enjoy it and appreciate it. While this is a fine dining experience you certainly get value. It is haute cuisine without the accompanying pretentiousness. Servers are relaxed and accommodating. I will definitely return.

This entire menu is sent to earth from every religions heaven. The softest, well braised duck wings are beyond impeccable. The mains!! Every. Single. Item. was fantastically prepared with a flavour pallet that transcends human capability to fully appreciate it. Venison tenderloin with puree was worth every cent. The cocktails are so brilliant and flavourful it's unreal. Ontop of that, the staff are so nice and professional it makes the whole experience beyond amazing.

Redefining Canadian food by serving wild game found in Canada. If you're nervous of trying something new like Bison, Boar, Rabbit or Venison, this is the place to do it because it's prepared to perfection. They also have Fois Gras which is like warm butter and a good selection of 'craft' cocktails. I highly recommend it. Just make sure to call ahead for a reservation because it's not a big place and popular.

Amazing. To sum up the experience in one word it would just be that. Sitting at the chefs table was an amazing experience and having the opportunity to speak with the kitchen staff was a pleasure, the sous chef was super friendly, knowledgeable. The food was top notch, we had the charcuterie board and bison steaks. Both were incredible. Desserts were immaculate, and the drinks are to die for. One of the best in Toronto, a must try!

We had a fantastic meal here! The standouts were the scallops, the deer cavatelli, and the boar chop. The boar chop was actually one of my favourite dishes I’ve had at any restaurant in the city! So juicy and flavourful. The service from Jade was awesome as well. She was so sweet and attentive. We will be back!

The concept is original, we loved it. Service was great, our server was super friendly and attentive. Food presentation is great, but the menu needs more work. We found that some of the flavours didn't really go together. Also, all options were very much wintry. I would have appreciated some refreshing summer ingredients to counter the savoury and oily meats. My favourite was the sautéed mushrooms and the duck wings, a must try. Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant and support the cause, I'll definitely come back in a year to see how they grow and improve! Best of luck.

Where do I begin? This spot is so freaking amazing. From the customer service to the detailed explanation on how the dish is made and why, I loved asking questions. Did you know they use honey from a local farm from one team members in the kitchen? They support local! Started with sautéed green veggies and the elk tartar. I now can't have anything else except elk tartar...maybe kobe beef tartar. I'm spoilt for ever now..the spices with the crispy bread.. wow. I followed the venison. Oh my goodness. The layers of flavour on which the venison loin sat on were so rich and decadent. Finished with the honey bavarois. Who knew this was so light and delicate? I didn't have space for the wild boar pasta or pear dessert, but next time...I'm coming for them too. This spot is GEM and a must visit. - lots of support from Edmonton who dined for 1 ;)

Antler is the restaurant that I owe my entire culinary journey to. I first came here during the tail end of my university days. I lived off free campus food, cheap pizza, and late night shawarmas up until this point. Antler was the very first high end restaurant that I visited. A lot of memories were made here, my first date, my first time having game meat, an Amazon based collaboration dinner with DOM. I’ve been making visits ever since. You really can’t go wrong with any of Chef Hunter’s dishes, they are all phenomenal and (in my humble opinion) are well deserving of a Michelin star. Antler has the identity, the culinary inventiveness, the atmosphere, and the service that is expected of a Michelin restaurant. This restaurant will be a forever staple in Toronto and I highly recommend that you dine here when the chance arrives!

Wow. The food at this place is incredible. I went with my fiancé for a special date night and we were blown away. It definitely lived up to the hype! Our server was very attentive and lovely. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and the sourcing behind it. She could answer all of our questions regarding the wild ingredients, about the founding chef, and also gave us a thorough overview of their drink menu. We got the bread with the truffle butter to share, which was one of the best appetizers I have ever tasted. I also got the Scallop Crudo, which was heaven in every bite. For our mains, I got the Venison pasta, while my fiancé got the Game Burger with the Antler Fries. It was so delicious, although very rich and filling. But I expected that, since venison is so rich; I happily took my leftovers home! For drinks, I got the strawberry lemonade with mint, and my fiancé got an Old Fashioned. Both were very refreshing. For dessert, I got the lime cheesecake, which was so zesty and not too sweet. My fiancé got the smoked mousse cake, which just melted in the mouth. This is a Michelin-starred restaurant, so it is expensive. But the food speaks for itself. Sustainably sourced, wild ingredients, this place utilizes some of the best Canada’s nature has to offer in its dishes. I highly recommend coming here for a fancy night out.

This place got to Michelin guide (don't mess with Michelin star ⭐) for reason! Jumped in there occasionally on Saturday evening around 15.30 for a lunch and they were fully booked from 17 pm. We were proposed for a 1.5 hours seat 🪑 which was acceptable. Starting with the administring lady with nice british accent, we had outstanding experience there! The menu is specialized on the wildlife meat 🍖 - boar 🐗, elk 🫎, valison 🦌 . It's not usual for Toronto, and I must say it was delicious 😋 Velison tartare was amazing - served with crunchy bread 🍞 it was render & rich & 👌 Wild Boar glazed cut - tender, flavourful , however, lean and not smelling like wildlife 👃 Papardelle with velison in creamy mushroom sauce - so rich and thick 🤤 I would like to see more meat in the plate - it was a bit poor. Service - welcoming and hospitile 😊 Atmosphere - calm, clean and authentic. They say it's too loud in the evening - I can't comment on this. It was quite when I visited it. Saved for favourite restaurants of Toronto list ⭐

We did the tasting menu at the chef's table and it was 100/10. The menu and food were so thoughtfully prepared. Everything was so intentional and used such fun and unique ingredients. The cocktails were also 10/10. Go here, it's a splurge but worth jt. It has a star for a reason! My fave of the tasting menu was the cedar ice btw, it is not to be missed! Everything was excellent but the ice was the most unique bite I've ever had - simple, refreshing, nostalgic, and made from foraged Ontario cedar! It was served as a palette cleanser in the tasting menu but I believe you can get it as a regular dessert as well.

Weekend dinner service with reservations made in advanced - food, drinks, and service was great. Small and cozy restaurant. We had the Wild Boar Cavatelli, BC Halibut, and Sweet Potato Cheesecake for dessert.. all very good! Would recommended for date night or dinner with friends.

Had been wanting to check this place out after seeing it on the Michelin list and it did not disappoint! Menu is obviously meat forward and it hit the spot. Everything was very well done and paired nicely with some great cocktails. Highly recommend.

Overall, I give this restaurant 3.9/5. We started off with a few cocktails and were blown away with how flavorful and strong they were. Really nice flavor combinations with the cocktails. We got the Venison tar tar as a starter and it was amazing. The flavors were very well balanced with acid and savoriness. I wish they gave us 2 crackers each as opposed to 3 total (1.5 each). For my main I got the duck breast and my partner got the bison steak. I loved the presentation of the dish. Very well executed. However, the flavor profiles were a bit too sweet for my liking. I would prefer a more balanced dish overall. The Bison steak was Smokey and tender. Meat was cooked perfectly. However, the polenta and the sweet sauce used threw the dish off a bit. Who knows, maybe the chef had a bit of a sweet tooth? For the duck, I would prefer it to be cooked more rare, the server mentioned that was not possible. Most likely due to food safety. Both dishes were members of the clean plate club. Tiny adjustments would bring this to a 5/5. For desert, we had the apple tart and the smoked chocolate mouse. The mouse was way too smokey, I also feel like the smoke chips were re-used and got flavours of burnt. Not the most enjoyable. The tart was pretty good, nothing too slap your momma over. I would definitely go back again, but given the high price tag, it would have to be a celebratory event. Definitely more dishes to try, the kitchen staff is very creative.

I visited to celebrate my birthday. This is one of the stores I've always wanted to go to. The server was really kind and explained everything about the unusual meat menu. The daily cocktails were refreshing and delicious. (I forgot the name, but it's a lamb-based lime) I had VENISON TARTARE, ALBERTA BISON RIB EYE and BOAR CHOP. Everything was fresh and delicious. The prices are high for rare dishes, actually I can't come here very often but it was wonderful experience.

Antler is focused on locally sourced food with options like duck, venison, foraged mushrooms and greens. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, with the bison steak being a real highlight. The menu is quite pricey but it's a perfect place for a fancy date night or other special occasion.

I took my Dad here to celebrate his retirement. We got the scallops appetizer. He got the steak, and I got the venison loin. Both came with potatoes, but I ordered a side of fries and sauted greens as well. Also got an appetizer for dessert. Everything was great. I've had the ribeye steak here before, and think it's the best in the city, imho.

The food here is really amazing and fresh. I’m a regular here and have always loved going for dinner and brunch, however, I noticed it was a bit different when I tried the outdoor tent experience. I was told by my server that there is a new chef which is why the menu was different. While the food is still really good I’m pretty upset that they cancelled the smoked salmon Benedict as it was in my opinion the best one in the city, beating out all top tier brunch places. I also got the ribeye which I’ve had before but it was extremely rich compared to how it used to be so it was a bit difficult to finish. Still one of my fav places in the city and definitely recommend, just missing the old menu. Also the outdoor experience was really sweet and intimate!

We sat at the kitchen table. For those who like cooking it’s a perfect spot to see everything that the chef is doing! The food was good, yes, but we had higher expectations. The food was missing a little bit of “peps”. We did not got any dessert as we were slightly disappointed. It is still a nice place, a fancy stakehouse.

Really great dining experience here. Drink selection was eclectic and great! The servers were very friendly and helpful. My friend ordered the venison while I had the duck. The plating was beautifully presented. I will say my duck was a bit overcooked to my liking. But overall, the experience was great, would definitely come back.

Absolutely fantastic! Great atmosphere on the patio (late Oct) with a personal heat lamp. We relied on our waitress' recommendations and started off with the duck wings - from an appearance perspective, they looked really dry but as you bit in to them, dipped in the sauce they came with, it was so moist. We ordered two plates - the bison ribeye and the venison steak and split each plate between two. The venison was the star of the night! I would choose this over a beef filet mignon any day! Service was fantastic. Although we didn't buy any drinks, our waitress made sure our water glasses were always filled and did the usual rounds between apps and mains. Would've loved dessert but we were full.

Pretty cosy intimate spot with specialty local meat and wild foods. Came here for dinner and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Game burger and ash crusted deer! It’s something I’ve never tasted before and yet it tasted something familiar. The familiar fries tasted very different from the fast food type.. perhaps exotic. I didn’t go with an appointment and lucky to eat looking at kitchen and talking to the nice cool Chef. There’s a lot of funny banter in kitchen. How many diners have such chances to eat talking to Chef?

We had a phenomenal dinner at Antler on a recent trip to Toronto. The staff are wonderful and very professional and helpful and accommodating. The dishes are such delicious local flavors and I love that it's less common items like boar, venison and bison. We really enjoyed the entire experience and would highly recommend to anyone.

Finally got to try this place after being on my list of to go places for a while. If you like game meat or something different, this is the place to be. You have expert hands making food and what they can do with meats not normally available at typical restaurants is just great. Now, nothing mind blowing, but a solid place where you need to try especially if you are ok with game meat. We had the wild boar chops and they were lovely. Fries and veg sides good. All in all, had a great meal and worth checking out.

Staff were very polite and friendly, the owners and staff care about your experience and it shows, I didn't drive 5 hrs to Toronto just to east here, but if I had I would not have been disappointed. This place is amazing. The bison steak is $75 but it's worth it. The duck - delicious. Alcohol - wonderful. The only set back is I wish they gave more maple truffle butter with their bread (kind of wish they revert back to just maple butter so that I could have more). Besides the things mentioned, the staff are lovely and the vibe is beautifully romantic. You should come here :)

Stumbled upon this place while thrift shopping and it was one of the better meals I had on my trip. The duck was cooked to perfection and everything served with it was really yummy. The duck hearts were an interesting dish but I would skip them next time. While some items on the menu are on the pricier side, the portions are healthy so it's worth the splurge.

What a fabulous first time experience! I came with my cousin to celebrate her birthday and we wanted to try something different and all the dishes were excellent! We started with the venison tartar which was super tasty, then decided to give the foie gras a try (I think of all the plates this was my least favourite only because I just didn’t find the flavour to my liking), and then we split the bucatini and the boar chop. The boar chop was amazing! The bucatini was also good, very different, the noodles were quite al dente but I think this did help capture the flavour of the dish. The service was on point and the Montepulciano red wine from Puglia was lovely. Thank you for the great experience!

Venison and elk tartare, bison steak, duck breast, boar burgers, scallop crudo...what more could you ask for? This is a hunter's buffet, an animal enjoyer's smorgasbord and a great variety of flavours. There's a reason this place is hard to get into, as the many prospective gourmands all want a taste of the Chef's fresh kills. HAPPY HUNTING.

I booked a reservation to celebrate my wife's recovery from her open heart surgery. We had ordered the recommendations made by the waiter. After the meal, we made our way home. The food here is amazing. For anyone who hasn't had it, bison and venison make way tastier steaks than beef, each with their own qualities and flavors. Better than Ruth's, Keg, anything...Straight up. 6/5 stars.

For starters my brother got the venison patty which is essentially a Jamaican type patty stuffed with venison meat instead of beef. That didn't really impress me as much as I ordered the venison tartare for sharing. Tartare while I generally enjoy it is really something you have to like. Sure it's raw but it's prepared properly just like sashimi. recommend

Visited Antler for brunch, which was a very good experience. Service was very attentive and ensured we had an enjoyable time. Antler is a cozy spot for brunch or dinner. Had the Eggs Benedict with Wild Boar Belly. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the smoked boar belly added a very meaty flavor to the dish, with a more pronounced taste. The side salad had a tangy flavor to it which balanced the flavors of the eggs. Highly recommend as one of the few spots in the city that does game meat.

Antler was dope. Definitely gonna eat there again if I visit Toronto again. The meat is the best part, as with any meal. Disregard what the vegan-fringe eco-warriors tell you, this place ensures its meat comes from the best farms. They support local businesses and good farming practices. The owner is a swell guy too.

Antler is famous for their game meats, and my husband had the venison which was fantastic. The pasta I had was also quite wonderful despite not being one of their specialties. The menu has a constantly changing charcuterie board as well that's worth trying. Make reservations because the restaurant is quite small :)

Went in about a week ago, absolutely loved it. The atmosphere and the staff made this place amazing before I even sat down. My table was helped by a lovely, knowledgable server named Janna. With her recommendations we ended up settling on spicy duck wings and a truffle brie to start. I had the venison for my main with a side of fries and it was fantastic. The Merlot was also superb, and from what others said, so were the cocktails . Will be back again. Thank you Janna and the rest of the staff.

This place has some more unique options like bison and elk, which are not often found in other places. I had the bison and it was great! A bit pricey though, I would go there for the novelty, but not for a regular dinner.

Have been here several times before pandemic, and this place was always packed with people sobwe know the food must be great. Tried out many items in the past and tonight we want to come back again as our 1st dine out dinner aftet the city opens for patio dine-in. Food quality is still fresh, local, in season, well paired and taste just perfect. I almost ordered their whole appertizer menu lol everything is just goooooood. Love the fact that almost every piece of food they put in your plate is house-made. Even the cheese, the sauce, the ketchup...etc. The truffle brie is a must try. Absolutely stunning.

Amazing service, great entrees - bison steak and lobster roll were particularly good. The wine selection by the glass is a bit hurting.

We had a dinner here in November in the outdoor lodge, and it was a great experience. The food (pasta and burger) was exceptional, drinks were interesting, and our server was engaging. Well done Antler adjusting your high standards to a very new context.

Unique spot with an even more interesting menu. Relaxed atmosphere and 90’s R&B make for a great vibe. Definitely recommend trying a charcuterie board and duck confit. Was able to get a seat at the bar early on a Saturday without a reservation or wait, too.

The Game Meat Patty was astonishingly good and the deer steak portions I bought to cook myself were great. Next best thing to going into the bush to harvest a deer myself.

Went here for a friends birthday, and didn't regret the decision at all! Everything on the menu was delicious from apps to mains. I was too busy eating I didn't even take as many photos as I usually do! Charcuterie board had really unique items, and the venison patty was to die for. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants something different than the norm. (They even had a seal special on, how unique is that!) keep up the great work, and thanks for a great time!

Portions were tiny, the server was very sweet but her description of the dishes was completely off compared to what actually came. We all left feeling hungry.
