It is a nice place to have fun for kids or adults They have so many types of games for almost all ages Great place for team parties, hanging out with friends, even if you have kids. it can be a great place for a date too 😉😮‍💨 There have a restaurant and drinks. They have a variety of drinks and cocktails.. that's a plus.. We played a lot of games and in exchange of the tickets we earned, we got to choose anything from the store they have and again, lot of options. I would go there again.

Three days at convention with lunches and this was the best. I'm simple, come and ask me how my meal is, and if I need anything. Come refill my drink without me asking, well that's the bare minimum of good service. Add that with a good and hot meal, well that just compliments good service and now makes for a great lunch. See my last two reviews, the other restaurants didn't get that...congrats rec room... A place I'd take my friends and family.

We had a team build there. They have a lot of tables both inside and outside for customers. It’s a really big space. When I arrived with my colleague, we went to the staff at the front outside. They were discussing something that seemed to be very important because none of the 3 people acknowledged us for maybe 5 minutes. Not the best welcome. They then directed us to go inside. First, we all had lunch with a set menu. We shared the 3 cheese artichoke dip which was good. I got the fried chicken burger. It was big and good and filling. I could not finish it. It was supposed to come with smash fried potatoes but for some reason, we got fries instead, which is fine. Then we had the caramel cheesecake. It was just caramel drizzle on the plate on regular cheesecake. We had to wait quite some time for our food and some of our team members got their plate later than others. My colleague who got the three10 burger had 2 small Pattie’s, smaller than the bread. Overall, it was good but service was slow. Then we moved on the the triathlon where special staff took care of us and walked us through 3 games: air hockey, basketball and Mario kart. That was a lot of fun and we did not have to wait at all. So the restaurant / food experience was more of a 3/5. And the game part 5/5. They have so many more games.

Went here for a work function with about 40 of us. It's much bigger inside than I thought it would be. We had a private area in the back to do some presentations and it was great. We had our own bar, bartenders, eating area, etc. The games area was also great. Lots of different arcade and carnival type games to play. You can play for fun or play to win tickets. The food was okay. We had a variety of options like salmon, ribs, salad, potatoes, etc. The salmon was quite overdone unfortunately, but it wasn't why we went there, so I'll give them a pass. Overall it was a great time. Would go again.

The dinning part of my first visit to The Rec room could be better. First, the waitress did not collect my scene points as she said she would after ending her shift on that day. Second, she offered me a special ice flavored tea that I was really good but she charged me $5 without informing me this. Te portion of the crispy chicken bites was very very small to be shareable between 3 people and the margarita pizza had no almost no taste.

We had a really good first time experience here eating at Three10! They give you popcorn to start which was so cute and yummy! We had a pitcher of the Tropical Sangria to share and it was super yummy and fresh. The 3 cheese spinach dip was the best I’ve ever had, I want to go back just for the dip haha. We also ordered the Mac and cheese with a Caesar salad, spicy chicken sandwich and grilled chicken club! All were delicious and the portions were awesome for the fairly decent pricing! It would be perfect 5 stars for us if there had of been condiments on the table and water refills though! They did not have like a salt shaker for example we had to ask for salt and they only had little packets!

What a great place to go after the Jay's game! Very busy, but fun atmosphere. The games room was expansive and had lots of active options like hoops and air hockey as well as some classic games The "I'm with the band" live karaoke is the coolest thing ever. Food and service were standard bar fare. Overall a really fun place with no cover charge on a Friday night!

Incredibly slow dining service and a disappointing meal. We had made a reservation for a large party well in advance and yet our single server was not prepared to handle such a group. Our orders arrived an unjustifiably long time (hours) and it’s sad to say that it was much faster ordering at the bar than their table service. The arcade games were fun but expect lineups during the weekend. The prize room was barer than the toilet paper shelf at Costco during pandemic. Rec Room is a great location but I do hope they step it up.

We stopped her for drinks and a light lunch while walking downtown. The place has a casino style gaming area, a bar, a restaurant and a meeting hall all within the old railway roundhouse. It makes for a very interesting facility, but was quite noisy. The food was excellent. We had one of their pizzas and it was delicious.

Fun spot to play games. Was gifted a $50 gift card to play. But they didn't state you'd have to pay an additional activation fee + taxes for the wrist band. A bit misleading for those purchasing gift cards. Food was alright. Can get crowded at night. The best time to go is early afternoon.

Super fun arcade bar, lots of space with huge bar and a small club. FOOD: the food has nothing to talk about, I don't suggest going here for the food but go for the games instead. DRINK: there's a large bar but they're too busy, they'll ignore you when you try to order something to drink. GAMES: variety of arcade games from the good old time to modern games. It's a fun place for date night or large group of friends. INSIDE: very large area but really crowded during the weekend. There's small club inside, a bar area, restaurant area, and games. SERVICE: friendly but very slow as they're very very busy.

I went here with my friend for something to do during the day to kill some time and we had a blast. There is fun for adults and children! The bar area is big enough to handle busy times and I always had a drink in my hand. The selection of pin ball was cool and other random games. I was also happy to try their VR games ! Fun times!

We recently dined at The Ref Room for a swift lunch, and our experience was notably positive. The service was commendable, and the promptness with which our meals were presented was impressive. The culinary offerings were not only delectable but also generously portioned. While the general cleanliness of the establishment was well-maintained, a minor observation would be that the seating arrangements exhibited some signs of wear, with torn benches and somewhat rugged seating. Nevertheless, our overall impression remained favorable. Our server left an excellent impression, demonstrating attentiveness and professionalism. The establishment's location also proved to be alluring, boasting an extensive selection of arcade machines, thereby enhancing the overall ambiance. Considering the totality of our experience, we are inclined to affirm our intent to revisit this venue in the future.

All staff were nice. We were quiet late for our patio reservations, but fortunately they were able to give us a table. We both ordered Mac n Cheese and they were really delicious! They look small in portion but they really make you full! Also, the atmosphere and view was really nice and enjoyable.

You have 2 options: a 5.5$ bracelet or a card. Both do the same thing. The cashier didn’t tell us about the latter and charged us for the bracelet. We found out later when one of our friends received a regular card (no charge). This is completely unethical. I’m certain Rec Room can find another, more transparent way to cover covid costs instead of scamming its customers.

Quite nice but busy place for blowing off some stress and having a good time. Similar to Arcade they have improved post pandemic with newer machines and less broken down games. Great selection of drinks and local plus imported beers. Food is okayish not the best but yes mostly people come for games. A good location for team events and company outings.

Came here for a business function with colleagues. If I only had to rate the arcade section, this would be 4 stars. But the food was rather mid. The Caesar salad was the best dish, the Rec room burger was decent, but the rest were bland or underwhelming (tofu bowl, fried chicken burger, pizza, and fries). The only redeeming quality is the arcade with its large selection of video and carnival games. It would benefit them greatly if they can improve their dishes in terms of quality and consistency.

Went there for a birthday party. Large groups require a gratuity of 18%. It's pretty annoying when most people are paying for themselves. It was hard to accommodate a large crowd and they tried to put us on two separate tables. We ended up just bringing chairs to one table and hanging out together. The place smells bad, the service was horrible to be honest and the food was pretty bad. I ordered the fried mushrooms which was decent, but that's about it. Don't think I'd be returning here. Not sure how the rest of the group felt, but not my type of place.

I come here all the time with friends to play at the arcade and it's a bonus to be able to sit and eat here mid-play when we get hungry. Evenings you can expect long wait times for a table here and an even longer wait for a seat at the bar. It seems all the hectic buzz makes it a no-rules zone here. For lunch, however, there's not much of a wait to be seated. It does take the servers a while to get to your table though and you may find yourself blankly staring at your other guests while waiting for someone to take your order, bring your food, or bring the bill. The servers were very kind and engaging though, always making everyone feel welcome and at home. The food is pretty decent with hot and ready pasta as well as a juicy burger. I'll always come back to enjoy the arcade though.

Pretty decent games selection and has an open bar concept, patio as well, overall pretty good! We were seated, yet our server was MIA for about 30 minutes, so was a bit weird, luckily someone jumped in and took our table over with his good vibes! Food is decent, not super good but it's good quality overall.

🦋 This location must have one of  the best surroundings in all of Canada. The CN Tower stands strong and proud alongside the gigantic Rogers Centre, which are steps away from the Rec Room. Ripley’s Aquarium is beneath the CN Tower, which makes this location a tourist’s haven. The place is absolutely massive! There’s a huge arcade area with lots of really cool and interesting games - a Dave & Buster’s meets Playdium kinda thing. There is a HUGE bar in the middle of everything and lots of big TVs up on the wall. The bar is so big that we enjoyed our space no matter how busy it was. Behind the bar is a big patio that overlooks the absolutely beautiful Toronto skyline. They had live singers doing cover songs while we were there. Going back inside, continuing past the bar is a really big and open dining area. The chairs are comfortable and the tables are big, which is a + since we like our room when we eat - grrrrr😬. We ordered: Loaded nachos Impossible burger (2) Loaded Nachos These were actually really good. They are dressed with a nice assortment of veggies, and the crema they have on it was tasty. The nacho chips were thin, which was really nice since we didn’t feel like 🐳🐳 after we finished them…and boy, did we finish them 🤤. Impossible Burger The burger was exactly what we were hoping for. It’s not loaded with different things and is actually quite an “original” burger. This is what we loved. They had their own Rec Room sauce on it, which was really delicious. The Impossible patty is so good. It’s not too thick and isn’t greasy at all. It was charbroiled, which adds that amazing taste to it. We went there for Quin’s 11th birthday and the waitress was really cool about it. She saw that we had put a special occasion as the reason we were there and offered Quinn a variety of desserts to choose from - he chose the sundae 😎. The Rec Room continues to bring us back for more food, drinks, and games. We always love our time there, and this time, we even spoke to a bartender for 10 minutes and learned how cool of a life he’s lived. Thanks to the Rec Room for hiring good staff and reminding us that we can always choose to be the kids we are in our hearts. This is our experience. What’s yours? 🦋

Great hang out spot for you and your friends to get together to enjoy food & games at the same place! Even better with the views! The customer service I've received was exceptional but the food wasn't as great as expected, I'm sure they can do better.

First time visiting The Rex Room and we only tried out the arcade. It isn’t too big when it comes to their game options, but we did enjoy our time. I caught a glimpse of a few tables and the food, and they look good. I would like to come back for dinner and maybe more activities with a bigger group.

The waitress was super nice and friendly. However the food was disappointing. Plus, the game was not attracting to adult. If you sit outside, the view is amazing. You can see the CN Tower closely.

Really fun place to try out if you like games and drinks, less boring than ordinary bars!! They don’t have a huge drink selection for beers etc but they have enough, the only food we ate was the poutine and it was after we were drinking so it tasted good to us, the games and atmosphere were the best part of this place! Would recommend to anyone visiting Toronto. Also pretty centrally located right next to the space needle so easy to find.

For the times iv been have always been impressed. The food quality on some items over the years has seriously deteriorated. However their prices are reasonable during these times. The service has always been above n. Eyond with quick response and accurate order. Atmosphere is a whole new level, games, and play time galore here. Also if you're looking to host an event it's the best place to do so!

Omg..omg..omg....I dunno what say..words can't describe the emotions and fun we went through going to the rec room. It is a great place for fun..kids and adults alike. I would say it is medium priced..so affordable even for students. The food is great and not crazy expensive and worth every dime. We had pasta which was great...the cut fries are amazing. Games...omg no words to describe..I could stay all day long. Spent 50$on the games and played for 3 hours..super fun.a must to go if you are in toronto.

SO GOOD. Very spacious and good food, kind servers! I knew there was gonna be a lot in the place and was worried it would be loud because there is an arcade next to the restaurant but it was not bad! Me and my friends enjoyed ourselves there and was so full when we left :) It is a bit expensive but the service the rec room offers was worth it! Thank you so much we will be back for sure

Great place for team parties, hanging out with friends, even if you have kids. They have different games, a lot of them are two player games. So it can be a great place for a date too 😉 There have a restaurant and drinks, but the food choices are limited (obviously because it's not a restaurant). The food was good 👍, personally I wouldn't eat there again. They have a variety of drinks and cocktails.. that's a plus.. We played a lot of games and in exchange of the tickets we earned, we got to choose anything from the store they have and again, lot of options. I would go there again as I had a lot of fun. The staff was very polite and friendly. It's 10 mins walking distance from union station. Not sure about the parking.

3.7 overall, have to round up. Always a very fun time. Alyssa served my friends and I all evening, and did a fantastic job. Really awesome. Only thing holding back was paying credits for photo booth and not getting the pictures printed properly. The other thing lacking was the accessibility of staff is a bit of a challenge, feels like they are spread pretty thin.

The Rec Room is an absolute blast! Located in the heart of the city, it's the ultimate destination for entertainment and fun. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a vibrant atmosphere buzzing with energy. With a diverse range of activities including arcade games, virtual reality experiences, bowling lanes, and more, there's never a dull moment at The Rec Room. We visited this past Saturday and had made a reservation for 1:30pm. We were seated at exactly 1:30 pm and did not get attended to by a waiter until 2:15 pm. There is not enough shaded seating on the patio, so we were seated in direct sunlight on a hot day. Our hostess was kind enough to bring us water. There was ONE waiter for the entire outdoor seating. Our waiter, Josh, was amazing because he was kind enough to apologize for the long wait (even though it was not his fault) and he made sure for rest of our dining experience we were doing okay. If I was reviewing Josh’s service alone, it would be 5 stars. However, it was extremely understaffed, especially on a game day. This was a poor decision on a management level. Also, no manger or supervisor expressed apologies to us, only Josh and the hostess did (which is not their responsibility). Consider either limiting reservations on game days or having more staff. Food was pretty good (but I can’t tell if it was just because we were starving). Thanks Josh!

We did an event there back in September. The staff was extremely accommodating and wonderfully friendly. Food was amazing, and the event was 100X because of the setup and staff at the Rec Room. Setting is beautiful as well. Wish I lived closer so I could visit all the time! 10/10

The rec room has an amazing atmosphere! Games are fun… However, I visited the Rec room on a Wednesday night and tried their food for the first time… started with the calamari appetizer and it was absolutely horrible! I can’t believe they serve that for $18! Food overpriced and frankly, not worth it! The options in their bar rail … below standard. Service - everyone seems so unhappy; barely any smiles or greetings. Would recommend for the games ; drink and eat somewhere else!

Great bar/ arcade venue to visit with partner, family or friends. Wide drink selection and games to play for different levels. Money is uploaded to a wristband and this is used to pay for games so no need to carry cash which is handy. Some games return tokens which can then be redeemed for gifts in the shop. As you can tell some games are quite difficult though.

We went here for a special occasion recently. The food was very mediocre along a number of dimensions: it took a long time to order, it took a long time to get, and it was pretty bad when we got it. It was so disappointing that we laughed, so I suppose there’s that. The waitress was obviously over-worked and seemed to be serving all the tables by herself at lunchtime; as a result, the service was bad. This wasn’t her fault, but it doesn’t change the fact the service was bad. The games were fun, but it was a bit too commercialized. As an adult, I just want to have some fun and play games; the ticket thing is not really for me. There’s adult arcades where you just pay a cover and get all the games you want, and I prefer that model.

Only redeeming quality about this restaurant was our waitress who was nothing but kind and helpful considering it was a Friday after a blue jays game. We ordered a shareable drink that came in a huge tube as shown in the picture and the first one just leaked everywhere because the nozzle wasn’t screwed on tight enough which were accommodated for (we had 1 glass from it). The reason we ordered it was because it seemed like a good deal it was advertised on the menu as starting at 65$ so we figured since it was the one in the picture it was the 65$ dollar option which was not the case. it came to 95$ so when we tried to voice our concerns to the manager thinking they would have a decent explanation. We asked which was the 65$ option for her to tell us it was the very bottom one which is poor advertising to say the least and with nothing but an ignorant & condescending tone she says she will pass it on to the advertising team and just walks away while we were still trying to talk to her. Laughable to say the least our waitress was nothing but apologetic so we accommodated her without giving a the chain restaurant our hard earned money. Food portion sizes were quite poor as well. I’ve never left a review at any restaurant before so take that as you will. Make sure to ask questions prior so you don’t get shafted because they won’t accommodate. Will not be returning in the foreseeable future.

Great place to spend the evening playing games and enjoying cocktails. It can be a bit expensive so plan likewise. You can plan a while day here with the cn tower and Ripley's just across the street. Overall I would recommend this for sure to new comers.

  • 2/5 Allen b. 7 months ago on Google
The restaurant is centrally located across the street from the Stadium, CN Tower, and Aquarium. I took it as a Canadian version of Dave & Busters. Plenty of games and prizes for the kids/adults, all while being able to dine indoor/outdoor. They do have a bar on site. Parking- We found a Public parking garage right there, which when you came out (up the elevator) from the garage, you were literally foot steps from the The Rec Room door. Parking also great for other area attractions to be seen all at once. Reservations- We didn’t have any, just walked in and was seated immediately. Would call for large parties. Service- We took stars off because our service was bad. Our waiter disappeared. Other tables were looking for her to get their check and leave and asked us if we too were waiting. We had an issue, with the food, and waitress never doubled back to check to see if the right food came out. It never came out. They had to get the Manager to “investigate” where the dish went. Needless to say it was taken off our bill. Our child by then (30 minutes later) didn’t want nothing to eat because she was afraid it would take another 30 minutes. We had finished our meal and dessert, and were waiting for our check, before they offered a resolution. On top of all of this, when we went to check out, the waiter just ASSUMED we were going to tip 18% and selected the tip herself. Thinking we would scan our card and hit enter. We chose based upon our service. She walked away looking at what I entered. WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS and TIP Amounts. Food - They offer the typical restaurant food. The food (chicken tender and fries, Caesar salads, Lettuce wraps, and desserts, we did receive, we’re good. Probably a great place, but after the experience on the dining side, kids just wanted to leave and go see some other attractions. **I would highly recommend reading food descriptions, as so many things are prepared differently than from the US. Nothing against the establishment, just something we learned while dining out.

I love this place so much because I’ve had so many great experiences here! The sad truth is that it’s mediocre at best. You’ll have fun if you’re with a fun crowd and if you take advantage of the games. A lot of the games are fun but you’ll find that many of them are out of service. You’ll also struggle with the racing and shooting games because they’re very wonky and unresponsive most of the time. The biggest issue is the food. It really needs to be adjusted and revamped. Nachos are the easiest thing you can make but the rec room can’t seem to even get that right. Why are you guys using a Cheez whiz type of sauce on your nachos?! Use actual cheese!!!!

The Rec Room Toronto is one of the most fun places to be! The lively atmosphere is unlike any other. The games are new and modern, and supremely large in scale (so rad!). The food is good, and decently priced. The staff are friendly and attentive. This is an adult's dream for those who loved arcades as a child!

Visited on a Thursday evening with a group of 6 and were seated in the dining area right away. They have tons of games/arcade options (we didn't partake, but it looks fun). Ordered a few cocktails, beers, appetizers, and meals (poutine, chicken sandwich, tempura jalapeno poppers, cobb salads, mac & cheese). Food and drinks were all decent/enjoyable. Service was friendly, and prices were mid-range.

Fun atmosphere. Very easy to win lots of tickets on the games and you can trade in for some cute prizes. We spent about 50$ for the two hours we were there. Lots of people there enjoying games and drinks. We came here for a retro video party which was inside a room in the back of the rec room but didn't stay there long.

Visited because of company event so we only had a meal and did not play any arcade game. We had a fixed menu with the choice of burgers, chicken burgers, pizza, Cobb salad and tofu bowl. The food was good. The location was very spacious with what seemed a great patio area. Would love to come back the enjoy the patio and arcade games.

👍 Good food as always! Convenient. Kids friendly. One star less because in the men’s washrooms there is no arrangement for baby diapers change. I managed it somehow but for a single dad with baby it is not convenient. I hope management would put up something to resolve it. Thank you.
