Byblos
is
what
I’d
call
a
breath
of
fresh
air
in
the
city.
Where
a
lot
of
restaurants
seem
to
be
managed
to
focus
on
appearances,
Byblos
delivers
on
great
food,
warm
and
attentive
service,
and
an
elegant
and
welcoming
atmosphere.
Their
cocktails
are
elegantly
presented,
well-balanced,
have
unique
taste
profiles,
not
aggressive
at
all
with
sweetness
like
most
cocktails
tend
to
be
in
the
city,
and
whets
your
appetite.
The
food
feels
like
it
was
made
with
care
and
passion.
The
flavours
are
vibrant
and
exciting.
The
Turkish
manti
dumplings
had
a
great
texture
with
the
dumplings
themselves
-
enough
of
a
bite
but
with
the
softness
of
the
filling,
and
the
creaminess
of
the
yogurt
sauce.
The
black
truffle
and
cheese
pide
had
a
great
taste
with
the
mozzarella
and
feta,
and
liked
the
truffle
flavour
too
of
course.
I
would
just
caution
that
the
pide
does
get
heavy
with
the
bread
so
it
might
be
good
to
limit
to
one
if
you
don’t
have
as
big
of
an
appetite
so
you
can
try
more
dishes.
The
middle
eastern
fried
chicken
was
moist,
even
the
white
meat,
had
a
crispy
skin,
and
came
with
a
nice
hot
honey
sauce.
The
chicken
comes
on
its
own
as
I
understand
most
of
their
mains
do.
The
black
truffle
rice
was
a
great
texture
and
taste
with
large
bits
of
roasted
mushroom.
And
we
also
had
the
roasted
beets
as
another
side.
The
beets
were
soft
and
flavourful
-
sweet
and
a
bit
tangy
with
the
orange.
Our
server
was
very
attentive
and
welcoming
throughout
the
evening
while
managing
several
other
tables.
She
went
through
in
detail
with
the
menu
with
thoughtful
recommendations
about
the
food.
It’s
very
easy
to
recommend
this
place
and
was
glad
to
have
dinner
here
this
evening.
