Byblos is a popular/famous Mediterranean restaurant in the entertainment district. We booked a reservation here weeks in advance. We found out that the restaurant was actually closed for a few weeks before our reservation but they didn't specify when they were reopening. So we called so many times to confirm when they were reopening but nobody ever picked up the phone. When we showed up for a reservation it turned out that only the first floor was under renovation and the second floor was open for dine in. Wash rooms and event spaces are on the third floor which is not accessible except by stairs. The second floor has a sophisticated vibe with semicircle booth seating as well as a dimly lit bar. Servers here are very attentive, but pretty strict about seating time and we felt like we were rushed to finish eating. We had the roast half chicken for the main, the dumplings for our starter, and the jeweled rice as our side. I like the dumplings but for me the roast half chicken in the jeweled rice were very outstanding dishes. This was an ok amount of food for two people and we left feeling satisfied. Our total was 95 before tip so that is reasonable for a nice dinner out. Highly recommend for a date or special occasion.

Perfect experience! The atmosphere is great, love the deco. Amazing service! The sesame lamb rib is a must. The short rib is great but not as special. As for desert, the one in my photo is a pleasant surprise. It's unique and I love the pistachio flavor

One of the best restaurants in Toronto! We absolutely loved the experience and the place is so beautiful! Alexandra was our server and she did AMAZING! We loved all of her recommendations and she was super professional. One of us were celiac and two vegan and she adapted every dish for us. They have tons of gluten free and vegan options and everything is super delicious & cocktails are definitely a must!! Couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you Alexandra for making our experience unforgettable!

We went to this place on my birthday and it was quite a treat. The ambiance was nice and the service was great. I did find the portions so small for all the dishes except the fried chicken. Everything tasted so good and especially loved that they could very easily accommodate gluten free. I would go back but just for the fried chicken and cake for dessert.

A pleasant surprise! I had a glance at the menu before going to this restaurant, and I thought that the majority of the main meals were for carnivores. There were fantastic choices for vegetarians, and each was quite unique. So tasty that I told the waitress that I would lick the plate. :) The ambiance is nice, and the team working there are attentive and courteous. Strongly recommend for a dine in specially, if it's a night to celebrate.

Tldr: totally recommend Dishes are really nice and delicious. Hummus Royale was very creamy. Combined with Wagyu grind beef, it's really good. Black truffle pita: must try. No word can describe. Extremely fragrant. Beef kebab: really juicy, smokey. Good amount of fat, very flavorful. Lamb ribs: sweet and sour flavour, sesame adds a lot of texture. Really good Light is kind of an issue. The seats indoor is not luminated enough, which kind of shades all of the dishes Beauty.

Diverse wine list, including options from Lebanon. The flavors in every dish are bright and diverse. Everything we had was perfectly seasoned - the pide is not to be missed (we had the truffle one). We definitely ordered too much food (which isn't a bad thing) - if I had to cut one dish it would have been the cauliflower. The service was excellent, though I would caution that the ambiance is much different between the lower and upper floor - lower being more casual and the upper is more romantic and intimate.

We had such an amazing experience. We were lucky to be served and helped by Tyler, the bar manager/our server. He was so helpful and kind and attentive, it really impressed us. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience not only because the food looked/tasted great, but Tyler also contributed to a majority of our experience. He managed the bar, our table as well as 2 other tables, and he managed to remember our order, dietary restrictions and was even considerate enough to tell us that the short rib was cooked in red wine but he’ll make sure ours isn’t due to us having dietary restrictions (alcohol free halal meat) overall great experience, can’t wait to come back here to celebrate more occasions ☺️

Wow. Wow. Wow. Its so refreshing to have unique Mediterranean cuisine of this caliber in the GTA! I had zero expectations going to the restaurant but boy was I blown away? ! Every single dish was cooked to perfection with unique flavors, textures and aroma. The lamb was to die for...the meat fell right off the bone and was tender and juicy. The lentil pide was so flavourful that it had me craving more. All of the dishes are fairly priced and reflective of the quality of the food. The service was attentive, friendly and very quick and efficient. I would highly recommend this place to anybody craving Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisine.

I am very happy with my experience with Byblos Downtown! I reserved a table online for dinner. When we arrived, we were seated upstairs, and I loved the decor and furnishings. It has a very cozy feeling but is still classy. Our server was very sweet and offered some great drink recommendations, and we ended up ordering a few dishes to share. Our favorites of the night were: the Turkish Manti Dumplings and the Middle Eastern Fried Chicken. I also absolutely loved their Marrakesh Garden cocktail. The refreshing cucumber taste was excellent. I would highly recommend Byblos for a chic dinner out. They really know how to make an occasion special.

The restaurant is bright and lively with well spaced seating. You can nicely hear the people you are with and enjoy the buzz of a crowded restaurant. The service is absolutely immaculate. The second you sit down you are greeted and given some water as you settle in. Once you've settled in they explain how the menu is laid out and the recommended amount of dishes for your party, even letting you know which are larger to keep your portions right. They are also aware of their proximity to Broadway shows, concerts and other events you might have reservations for and will ensure your meal is timed to get you out on time! As each course came I was uniquely impressed with each, from then plating to the complimentary flavours. If you're looking for an excellent meal to elevate your night out Byblos is it!

The service was very top tier; my glass was never empty, when I left my seat, my napkin was always folded and if you have allergies and you tell them, they make a dish more suited to your needs. The dinner was a full set menu that was perfectly balanced. It was a great experience and you have to try it at least once if you have not yet.

Absolutely loved everything we ordered here. Had the labneh and the lamb starter, both of which I highly recommend. We shared the truffle rice, short rib kebab, and the fried chicken between 2 people! Definitely a lot of food but we both enjoyed it so much. Lovely service and warm ambiance. I would love to come back again to try the rest of their menu.

This restaurant is very well designed and has beautiful interior. A mix of modernism as well as some hints of Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean culture. The service was great and our server was really kind. But, I felt like this place was a hit or miss. Some of my friends genuinely enjoyed the food while others didn’t. There is no doubt in the quality of meats, however, coming from a middle eastern/mediterranean background made me expect the food was going to taste authentic with a very slight twist, but it did not. The food was so far off that some of the spices clashed with one other and somewhat ruined the taste, which could be a personal-preference thing. Overall, I would only recommend a few items such as the fried chicken as well as the Pide.

Wow! I’m speechless. We just walked out of the best experience at a restaurant that we’ve ever had! Not only was the food impeccable, but the service was absolutely amazing! We’ve never had a server like that before - who packed our food for us and folded our napkins between meals. Literally setting the bar really high. This is a great place to go on an anniversary dinner as the ambiance is super intimate. As for food, I’d highly recommend the lamb, the fried chicken, the tuna tartare, and the hummus! They were delicious! The fries were great to have on the side but I think that the food listed was our ultimate favourite. If you drink and are looking for a good sour, “The Geographer” was amazing! Overall, every dish and all the drinks had elements that were paired for a clear purpose.

Wanted to try new flavours and chose Byblos. Visited with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and it didn't disappoint. We got the hummus, truffle cheese pide and dumplings to start. For the mains we got the salmon, fried chicken, and the famous lamb accompanied with fries and two types of rice. Saw many reviews about the lamb and the portion & prices, and I was okay without it if it was $200 mentioned by another reviewer. Gladly the lamb had options, based on pounds starting at $65 /pound and doubles/ triples from $65. The one pounder was more than enough for a group of 7 along with other proteins. Loved the flavours and would def come again.

The food was fantastic! We tried many dishes to share, and especially enjoyed the Turkish manti dumplings, lentil pide, labneh, and sweet jeweled rice. All so carefully prepared with sophisticated flavor combinations and sauces. Nice decor upstairs, although the booth seating is getting quite worn in spots. Definitely a treat for the pallet.

Beautiful space, dim lighting. The service was top notch and the food was perfection. The short rib melts in your mouth and the wagyu Kofta was soo flavourful and the sauces served with each dish was delicious. The rice had great balance and I loved the sauce for the Manti dumplings. Only bad thing i could say about this restaurant is that they say you can share things, but trust me u don't want to share anything it's that good

I went here to take my girlfriend out for her birthday, I think I made the perfect choice. The ambience and booth was perfect, it made for a really romantic night. The pear & arugula salad was probably the best salad I've ever had in my life, I was not expecting that and it was the highlight of our meal. We had the fried eggplant which was really nice but a bit bready, and the middle eastern fried chicken which was awesome. We finished the meal by sharing a rolled baklava, which really interesting as it had a lot of orange flavour with it, we both loved it. We're looking forward to coming back.

Byblos is incredible for Eastern Mediterranean food. Everything from the food, service, atmosphere and decor are fantastic. I visited by a couple of weeks ago. We had tried around 10 different things and with a set menu. From the hummus to fried chicken, the roasted beets, grilled octopus to the baklava, everything tasted delicious! It all had a unique little spin on it. It was all plated beautifully as well. The drinks were well crafted and the service was prompt. The downtown location is easy to get to from walking/public transportation and there’s paid parking lots nearby. For folks who like to take pictures (that are better than mine lol), Byblos is an Instagram worthy spot. It’s great for dates, a night out with friends, and company gatherings. I’ll definitely be back as this is one of my favourite Mediterranean spots. Highly recommend!

We went to Byblos for the valentine day special dinner. It was a 4 course menu with about 3 options for every course. For the first course, we ordered tuna tartare and beetroot labneh.. The tuna tartare came with fried chips - very similar to Indian mathri, the combination was extraordinary with watermelon pieces, avocado purée and rocket green complementing the tartare very well. The labneh came with zaatar bread and was exceptional. The sweetness of beetroot along with tango was of the labneh made for a great experience. We ordered lamb ribs and crispy shrimp for the second course. The ribs were melt in mouth with perfect Mediterranean seasonings. The crispy was a regular fried shrimp but the accompanying sauce was very flavourful. We had grilled Branzino fish with triple cooked fries and eggplant schnitzel with sweet jeweled rice.. All the dishes were amazing but the star was the rice and the fish. The fish was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and came with a minty purée which took the flavour profile to another level. The rice was cooked very simply but was packed with fried nuts, pickles, pomegranate and a very unique improvisation in the form of fried saffron. Finally, for dessert we had the chocolate cake which ensured that our experience ended on a high note.. Highly recommend for a unique food experience and there is no doubt why this is rated as one of the best restaurants in Toronto.

I was invited here for my bday in 2017. It was a fabulous restaurant with a great ambience, attentive staff, quality foods, delicious drinks and amazing desert. We shared several platters. The Fried chicken was notable, as was the pistachio bar for desert. Amazing bday dinner.

If I could give this place a zero I would . They don’t deserve a star not even one star . I walked in with a mask but due to a medical condition my husband cannot wear one . The host didn’t even look at us to notice he wasn’t wearing one to begin with . We sat down and ordered well over $200 worth of food for our anniversary . My husband asked to use the washroom , she insisted he wear a mask to the washroom. He said he has a medical condition & she insisted he wear one anyway. Even tho we walked in without him wearing it . After he used the washroom they were both waiting outside the door insisting he wears it . This place not to mention was FREEZING ! Definitely terrible customer service & extremely rude staff . We will never return & I honestly am surprised they are still in business .

Went there on Sat Aug 22. First time there. Did not know the entire menu was meant to be shared. After a good 5 minutes of reading the QR menu. I finally asked the waitress where the main courses were. She then asked if this was our first time there and started to explain the menu = FAIL. I found the menu to be very limited. Most of the food was good except the middle eastern fried chicken. It was extremely salty. I personally did not find anything too exciting about this restaurant. If my friends asked if I would recommend it, I would say no and I would not be interested in going back.

Very nice restaurant with funny and friendly server. He recommended us all the good drinks, and made us feel welcomed. The geographer is possibly one of the best cocktail I’ve had, and the mocktail was nice as well. The black cod is wonderful. We both didn’t know that fish could taste this creamy and delicious, I would highly recommend it to others. The black truffle rice was nice and tasty.

Good eats, nothing unique. Overall the roasted lamb shoulder was the best, everything else was ordinary. Dishes are small for the price and there is not a big taste to them. Probably about a 3.5, gave them a four.

The most amazing dining experience in Toronto I’ve had so far. The food was incredible and the service impeccable. The lamb ribs were so good we wish we had ordered more. The branzino was perfectly seared and the truffle pilau was so unique and so good! The chocolate olive oil cake was divine and I’d go back to have that with the Turkish coffee. Our server was so amazing— wish we had gotten his name. He guessed it was my birthday and had sorbet sent to our table. Can’t wait to go again!

4.5/5 Their food is excellent and the service is great. This is one of our favourite restaurants downtown. I recommend their specialty cocktails and fried chicken. Yumm! Will be back. Side note: If you prefer a quiet dining environment, I’d recommend asking to be seated on the lower level. The upstairs can be a bit louder with the music, and if you’re closer to the doors to the kitchen, it can be a bit hectic with the servers coming in and out.

5/5 for taste, service and vibe. 4/5 final score because we waited a bit long for the food, and the house specialty drinks weren’t too good. (Would definitely come back, but probably won’t order mixed drinks) I would highly recommend the lamb or beef pide. It was freshly made and toasted to just right to have tender meat and melted sauces. The lamb shank had great flavour, and you could ask for extra sauces and the pieces of pita if you want any extra. The servers were super nice about it and packing anything away.

Such a lovely evening! We sat at the bar and got to meet Tyler, the bar manager and our server. He was so kind and just amazing. We LOVED the food- the lamb shoulder was succulent and just fell apart. The baklava was definitely shareable and as delicious as it was beautiful. It was on the pricey side, but well worth it as a special evening out!

Excellent service, delicious food, and great vibes. Special shout-out to Alexandra - she was fantastic and detail oriented (when it comes to explaining the dishes). They also have amazing hand-crafted cocktails and a decent wine collection. I highly recommend this place, no walk-ins.. We were so full that we didn't have apetitie for desserts, but I was told their baklava's are really good!!

We came here for my sister in law’s birthday celebration and we all had such a great time. The ambience was inviting and loved the decor. Our waiter was great and hosted the occasion with open arms. Exceptional service. Can’t even begin to describe how authentic and amazing the food was. Absolutely incredible! The freshness and all of the amazing flavours were heaven to our taste buds. We got the shareable tasting menu and we couldn’t believe how much food kept coming just as we thought it was over. We enjoyed it very much. Desserts were a tad on the sweet side but delicious nonetheless. Loved the cultural experience and a must go to!!

Wonderful experience all around! The service was really top notch - Alex was great with her recommendations throughout the whole evening. She shared flavour profiles of different dishes to help us choose because so many things on the menu looked good. Can’t speak highly enough of her! Atmosphere and food was incredible. Had the lamb pide, middle eastern fried chicken and sweet jeweled rice. Flavours were perfect! Cocktails were delicious. Only downside was they don’t have the chocolate olive oil cake on the current menu - was looking forward to trying that. Will definitely go back.

This place is fantastic. From the romantic lighting, to the service to the food. We went for date night and were in a time crunch as we had to get to the theater. They were able to keep our good moving along without comprising a minute of service. Our server was unbelievable. Completely on point when it came to recommendations and portion sizes. We got the hummus, radicchio salad and the lamb shoulder. The lamb shoulder came with these delicious side sauces and wraps. Overall a fantastic experience.

Great for a date night. Food was delicious. We got 4 dishes between the 2 of us plus the Habibi Marguerite and everything was so yummy. Portions are not large but just enough. Halloumi with sweet, nutty, and perfectly fried . Fried chicken was Crispy with a delicious sauce. Truffle rice was just truffley enough. Greens were simple but needed for balance. The service was excellent and ambience is date-worthy

This is a great restaurant and I've been visiting since 2015. The food is fantastic (the manti dumplings, fig salad, and the roasted lamb shoulder are my favourites). The atmosphere is great too: the upstairs is more loungey while the downstairs has a brighter feel. I have to say though, the staff have always had a bit of an attitude.

A bit overpriced but the quality and flavour of food cannot be faulted. Ambience: Warm, casual and not loud. Great for work dinners and conversations. Must order: Black Truffle Rice Roasted Brussels Sprouts If you like lamb then do yourself a favour and get the shoulder Baklava

Everything was delicious. I'd love to go back and be seated upstairs, apparently the vibe up there is amazing, but we were a party of 4 and they were searing 2s up there. No regrets, no complaints. Id order two of the baklava with the mint ice cream next time, it was phenomenal.

Beautiful setting and decor. The staff are great. The food is ok. Interesting ways to use the flavours of the region, but execution of the dishes was a slight miss. For example, the labneh and beets appetizer, the launch was the wrong consistency it needed maybe another day before serving. It tasted good, but the texture and consistency was off. I would go back and try them again, just on the staff and the decor alone.

However there’s a paid parking just 3-4 minutes walk east of the restaurant. Service was exceptional, the server was very kind and was very attentive which I really appreciated. Food was something else!!! I have tried Mediterranean food many times, but this was a different level, very tasty and high quality Prices were $$$, but worth it to be honest. The way usually people order is that they order different small portions and then you order couple of main portions which will be more than enough for a group of four. Washrooms available and very fancy and clean. Very fancy over all.

The food was the highlight. We were a group of 4 and share four dishes from the starter side of the menu, three mains, a rice and a couple of veg. For the starters, the highlight for me (for the meal actually) were the lamb ribs. Also really enjoyed the hummus with wagyu. Highly recommend

We had a great evening after the movies here. Service was very welcoming, knowledgeable and fast. Dishes were excellent with lots of flavour. The menu is great and offers food for everyone. The bar made us some nice cocktails as well. One of the best middle eastern places in Toronto and worth a visit. Second time and again very happy!

Visited Byblos and as always never disappointed. Starting with appetizers and working your way through dinner - literally nothing disappoints. My personal advice is to eat “family style” so you really get a chance to try the range of cuisine here. Highlights for this particular night - the Wagyu Hummus, the Lamb wraps, and roasted Brussels Sprouts. The best thing about Byblos - THE STAFF. So accommodating and always checking in…making sure every visit was better than the last.

Food tastes great. You can taste the effort they put into their food. Fairly priced. Please try the truffle fry rice 😋

Had our 10th anniversary dinner here. Fantastic food, great ambiance and service and the bill was very reasonable. Everything was outstanding, especially the Labneh and the Turkish dumplings. Menu is very vegetarian friendly. We’ll be back!

A trendy and modern mediterranean restaurant with plenty of creativity in its dishes. The short rib kebab had a well selected cut of short rib, cut into continuous slices. It was tender and fatty, and crusted with a layer of pine nuts and spices. It was an agreeable dish with mild flavors. The blood orange pavlova was very well executed.

Nice ambiance, courteous staff and excellent food. We ordered an appetizer - Turkish Munti dumplings, middle eastern fried chicken (to share) and sweet jeweled rice. Portion size for chicken and rice were big enough for me and wife. We got some left overs as well. Chicken was crispy and juicy..loved the rice very delicious and delicate.

Very good and fancy mediterranean restaurant in the downtown Toronto. The best was the roadted lamb shoulder, i think it is a must try!

I finally got out to this restaurant and it was fantastic. The server was very knowledge and kind. The food from beginning to end was great. The only thing I would say is the second floor is a little loud due to the high bare ceilings. It was about half capacity and I could barely hear the people sitting across from me. The standout dishes were the rice, dumplings, tomato salad (amazing) and fried chicken.

Had a great meal here. The appetizers were fantastic. The geographer was an excellent drink! It was surprising and velvety. Would definitely come back here again and try some different items.

Had dinner here with some colleagues. The ambience is nice, fancy enough but not over the top. The service was kind and responsive. The food was excellent. I especially like the steak. As far as opportunities, I wish they would have Coca-Cola products instead of Pepsi.

Byblos lives up to the hype. Everything is handled with care and consistency, without being over the top or overvalued. The service is tops. Very friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu. Everything that I ordered did not disappoint, though do note, that the best of the menu is rather meat-heavy. Nevertheless, you can’t go wrong with any of their lamb dishes - the Lamb Ribs were especially delicious. If you like the Ribs I recommend the dumplings to compliment; they use the same date molasses that really take the flavour to another level. The pide’s are great as well (I recommend the lentil one for a veg option). The only dish I wasn’t awed by was the tartare, but it was still refreshing. Oh and the cocktails - good, but a little on the lighter side. Overall a perfect fine dine experience with a proper kitchen to back it up. Byblos is a must-do in this city.

I quite enjoyed Byblos! Went here for date night, and was seated in a comfy, yet upbeat spot. Got the geographer cocktail. It was good and aesthetically pleasing! The lamb ribs were amazing. Mouth watering, tasty, and perfectly balanced with the sauces. The dumplings were also a treat to try. The black truffle pide was very underwhelming. I would not recommend. I've had similar quality bread and cheese flavours, and the truffle is barely there. The fried chicken was tasty, and generous with portions I enjoyed the unique flavours compared to normal fast food fried chicken. The service was quick, friendly, and informative. Overall a good time!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the most magnificent restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was transported to a world of culinary wonder. The ambiance was enchanting, with dim lighting and soft music creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The menu was a work of art, featuring a diverse array of dishes that tantalized the taste buds and inspired the imagination. Each dish was carefully crafted and presented with the utmost care, as if the chefs were painting a masterpiece. I was particularly impressed with the fresh ingredients and attention to detail in every bite. The service was nothing short of exceptional. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure that every aspect of our meal was to our satisfaction. They recommended dishes based on our preferences, and even brought us a special surprise from the chef. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the dessert. It was a decadent creation that defied description, blending flavors and textures in a way that left me speechless. I've never tasted anything quite like it before, and I doubt I ever will again. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you're looking for a dining experience that will transport you to a world of culinary delight, look no further.

Thank you for making my Birthday Celebration such a memorable experience! ☺️☺️🙏🏼🙏🏼 It was such an amazing birthday celebration at Byblos Downtown! I can rate this restaurant as one of the top 5 restaurants in Toronto and GTA. Everything they have was simply amazing; the staff, the food and the overall atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming and so nice. We almost felt we have our own waiter as she taking good care of us ☺️ For the food, we truly enjoyed every bite of all the dishes we had, both starters and mains. I can confidently say that their lamb shoulder dish is one of the best and delicious dishes I had in my life. We loved the atmosphere of the place with the details of the interior design and furniture. 👍🏼👍🏼

Byblos restaurant is simply amazing! Their Eastern Mediterranean cuisine is the best I have ever tasted. The Labneh appetizer was outstanding and left me thoroughly impressed. As for the main course, we ordered the Lamb Shoulder which was a delightful blend of flavours and textures. It was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. Our waiter was excellent, providing us with valuable suggestions and demonstrating remarkable knowledge. We had an unforgettable evening, thanks to Byblos.

Wonderful dinner and service. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. Our server, Martin was very attentive, friendly and pleasant. It was our first time at Byblos and Martin was very knowledgeable with the menu and was able to explain to us how the plating worked and gave descriptions on dishes we were uncertain of. We had the Crispy Olives and Crispy Shrimp which were delicious appetizers. They have non alcoholic beverages which were quite good (Temple Breeze and Verbena Bliss were our choice). One of their popular dishes was the sweet jeweled rice-it did not disappoint. Wagyu Kofta was a good accompaniment to the rice and we finished our dinner off with the chocolate cake, Pavlova and Turkish Coffee. I definitely recommend this restaurant especially if you enjoy the share plate style dining. We look forward to going back! 😄

I have been to this place multiple times felt it was time to leave a review. The food is incredible. We have tried most of the dishes on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The Pide! - lamb and wagu very delicious! The bejeweled rice is a must try, sweet savoury crunchy and well spiced! It has been a topic of conversation beyond our visit and will leave you wanting to order more to bring home. If you like fish you will enjoy the Branzino, the flavours are unique and it was filling. The lamb should was very good, tender with great flavours. The steak was also very delicious and very filling and left us scraping off our plates. I could tell you more but if you have read this far you may as well just go! If you enjoy good food you won't regret it. I know I will be going back.

Byblos was quite high on my to try list since it’s raved very highly on social media. While the food was mostly hit, the vibe of the place left a little more to be desired. It was insanely loud and noisy on the upper floor and made it really hard to even talk across the table. My most favourite dish would be the lamb pide and the Turkish Manti dumplings! The cast iron in which they were served gave a nice charred flavour to the yogurt! The short rib kebab was very nicely cooked and absolutely smacked with flavour. The only dish that didn’t live upto the tastebuds were the fries. They didn’t have the best after taste.

Loved my experience here! Shareable plates that were all delicious, fabulous cocktails and super professional service. The restaurant itself is a bit dark for my liking in the summer but I definitely went to go back when I am not tainted by the sun outdoors.

Amazing food scene over here. Mediterranean cuisine with a style. Felt like a gourmet Middle Eastern restaurant. Definitely recommend everyone to visit this place and service is very good. Also there were a lot of veg dishes.

Food used lots of natural herbs & spices, not too heavy. Service is incredible and great ambiance! Highly recommend fried eggplants, lamb pide and halloumi. The dumplings are decent too but the other 3 apps were incredible. We didn’t try any mains, will be back!

  • 5/5 sanjana 5 months ago on Google
Every single item on the menu was a 10/10! We ordered the Lamb Ribs which was so flavourful, and the pear salad which were both so good we decided to order the lamb Pide and Turkish Manti dumplings which were also amazing. Pieces are on the higher side and portions are on the smaller side, but in terms of taste, highly recommend!

  • 5/5 R 5 months ago on Google
Great vibes, food and phenomenal service! Quite a unique, but delicious take on modern and traditional Lebanese/middle eastern food! The Halloumi and short ribs are a must. Don’t forget the baklava. Probably the best I’ve had in a long time! The dude serving us was also a hoot! Thanks for making this night memorable (Waleed?) can’t remember the name, but dude you’re hilarious and we loved ya

Byblos is what I’d call a breath of fresh air in the city. Where a lot of restaurants seem to be managed to focus on appearances, Byblos delivers on great food, warm and attentive service, and an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. Their cocktails are elegantly presented, well-balanced, have unique taste profiles, not aggressive at all with sweetness like most cocktails tend to be in the city, and whets your appetite. The food feels like it was made with care and passion. The flavours are vibrant and exciting. The Turkish manti dumplings had a great texture with the dumplings themselves - enough of a bite but with the softness of the filling, and the creaminess of the yogurt sauce. The black truffle and cheese pide had a great taste with the mozzarella and feta, and liked the truffle flavour too of course. I would just caution that the pide does get heavy with the bread so it might be good to limit to one if you don’t have as big of an appetite so you can try more dishes. The middle eastern fried chicken was moist, even the white meat, had a crispy skin, and came with a nice hot honey sauce. The chicken comes on its own as I understand most of their mains do. The black truffle rice was a great texture and taste with large bits of roasted mushroom. And we also had the roasted beets as another side. The beets were soft and flavourful - sweet and a bit tangy with the orange. Our server was very attentive and welcoming throughout the evening while managing several other tables. She went through in detail with the menu with thoughtful recommendations about the food. It’s very easy to recommend this place and was glad to have dinner here this evening.

Last Tuesday, our dining experience was unexpectedly delightful at a local gem of a restaurant. Despite the bustling crowd and the promise of a wait, we were greeted warmly by the hostesses Kim and Nakai, whose friendly demeanor set the tone for the evening. The ladies were managing the flow with a calm and collected presence, managed to accommodate us ahead of time—an act of kindness much appreciated on a busy night. Once seated, our server Jessica's insightful recommendations were spot on, leading us through a culinary journey that was both exciting and satisfying. The atmosphere buzzed with energy, yet our experience felt intimate and well-curated thanks to the attentive staff. From start to finish, it was an amazing time where every detail seemed to be taken care of with a smile. Kudos to the team for making a regular Tuesday night feel like a special occasion! This place is perfect for date night ! Its totally the right ambiance! xx

Amazing place!!!! 5 star service!!! <3
