This is probably my 10th time coming here and it's been amazing each and every time. I started coming here in 2016 from a friend's recommendation and it still hits the spot for amazing Indian food. We usually get the chicken pakora which isn't the ones you'd get at Hakka places but instead tasty chicken nugget style pieces that have amazing flavour. We also ordered the garlic naan, chicken Biryani and chicken vindaloo which are staples that we order each and every time we're there. The curries are packed with flavour and just complement the naan or rice really well. We also got the aloo paratha which was really nicely done and is an a great alternative to naan if you like potatoes. The price and portions are great. Service was amazing! This place will continue to be my top recommendation for Indian food in the GTA.

I absolutely love this place! It was my family’s first time trying Indian food and we kind of order randomly, and we still ended up loving everything. I agree with what all the other reviewers said about the waiting tho, the wait was quite long and I can see how it could be a problem for people with other plans. But the hospitality they showed us was truly heartwarming, they even gave us some Gulab Jamun that were on the house. 11/10 would recommend this place.

The name says it all 😍 🇮🇳. We went for dinner here, the ambiance is welcoming (typical traditional Indian restaurants) and charming. The food quality is good.. but it can be better though. I felt the spice level was a bit mild for an authentic Indian restaurant. Considering the quality the prices are reasonable !! This place has a good Indian liquor collection. We tried Sura beer.. it was worth the shot !! The staff is polite and attentive, the staff recommendations are must try !! The service is pretty fast.

This is my second time coming here and it was a GREAT experience! Price is very reasonable and portions are great. The flavours were awesome and the service was outstanding. The staff was very attentive, fast and never let our water cups go empty haha. Food was fresh and tasted great. My "go to" at Indian restaurants are the Lamb Vindaloo with Garlic/ Butter Naan and Aloo Paratha (basically a thin roti stuffed with potatoes and spices). This restaurant definitely did it well. I requested the Lamb Vindaloo to be extra spicy and I can assure you the chef DELIVEREDDD. The lamb was extremely tender and the curry itself was rich, spicy, and packed with flavour. We also ordered the Chicken Pakora, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Briyani which were also great. But the Extra Spicy Lamb Vindaloo was definitely irresistible. Truly saying, great food, great vibes, great staff. Will most definitely be comming back again. Thank you for a great experience!

This place served some really delicious Indian Food. The place was almost full despite another Indian resturant near by. The place was very clean. The staff was impressively quick to clean the table and readjust the cloths, glasses, chairs etc. Ordered Spring roll, Masala Dosa, Rasmalai in sweedish and finally the Spices (masla) Chai. All the ordered items were very good , fresh and tasty. Drinks are also served here. Food portions are good and the price is also reasonable. The service is quick and caring. Nice experience indeed.

I'm not a big fan of Indian food so I always order butter chicken. I will have to say a bit too sweet !! My husband has the lamb since he likes Indian food he said the lamb is pretty good and meat soft. Got veggies samosa is average good. Dishes are smaller than expected for the price.

One of the best place for Indian cuisine. If someone wants to taste indian food with it's authentic taste then this is the right place. I have visited this place twice and got the best experience. Staff is also very polite. All in all, I strongly recommend this place for delicious food❤️...

Loved the food and the atmosphere even more. Everything we ordered was go good. The naan was so soft, the gravies were perfectly cooked with the right amount of spice, their service time was quick. However I wouldn't recommend their biriyani as i felt that there was too much masala in it so just the biriyani is NO. I would definitely go there for all the other items.

This is my favourite restaurant in Toronto. I live near by and eat here typically 2-3 times per week. The vegetarian combo is such a great value that I keep coming back for more. If you like spice, the staff will happily make your dish extra spicy at no extra cost. They are always friendly and courteous, and seemingly actually happy to serve their customers, unlike many restaurants in Toronto. The food is fantastic, the service is quick and friendly.

Little India Restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy some authentic Indian food. I recently had the vegetarian Thali and it was absolutely delicious - spicy, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. One thing that really stood out to me was the fact that the majority of the diners were Indians or from Indian descent, which is a testament to the authenticity of the food. The service was also quick and efficient, making for a great overall experience. Before 3 PM, they offer some very worthwhile combos, which is definitely worth checking out. If you're looking for a great Indian restaurant with authentic cuisine, Little India Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Service was incredible! Staff was welcoming, and our server was very informative and sweet. She even gave us complimentary dessert after our meal! We came here after reading the great reviews, and we were so impressed. Everything was delicious! Would love to visit next time I’m in town.

Veg Spring roll was super great. Lamb Biryani was also nice but they used a little more salt. Because of too much waiting for food they offered us free Gulab Jamun. Overall ok experience.

Superb Indian restaurant! It was my first time here today and I will definitely return for other food. The Naan tasted so soft yet chewy, and was really a good combination with the cottage cheese in the Paneer tikka masala. I got it in medium spicy this time and will go for less spicy next time. Have pretty decorations like paintings inside. Really nice and friendly staff there:)

Came Bchere with a friend from out of town and she found this place (thankfully!)… we had the Chicken Pakora, samosas, Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken with steamed rice, garlic naan and butter roti. For dessert we had the Gulab Jamun (so amazing I wanted more!). Best Indian food in quite awhile. Staff is friendly and moved us to a bigger table without us asking. Definitely recommend if you’re craving Indian food!

We ordered spicy chicken curry(very spicy), lamb, and eggplant with naan and rice. The food was really good. I ordered red wine, taste like it has been opened long time. So I took one star off.

I wish there was a negative 1000 stars I would have pressed that. The owner does not take customer feedback well. I would rather order a Regular Lemongrass Chicken from Basil Box. Which is much closer to this restaurant and which is much cheaper than what Little India has to offer in their menu . Save your money and health people go to Basil Box.

Absolutely delicious. My first time coming here but definitely not my last. Excellent food, great service, very reasonable price, nice ambiance, and excellent location. All you need for wonderful Indian food. I had the prawn tandoori and it was delicious! I can’t wait to go back .. going to try Rogan Josh next!

Amazing customer service 😊! Very friendly and great vibed waiters. 🔥🔥 Prices are fair and Food was good, I just wish our table was a little bigger. As a first time customer, we ordered the Dine for Two and we were not disappointed. We were served a combination of Non- Veg and Veg dishes . Over all, this visit is definitely a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Today I had one of the worst indian meals I could ever have. I ordered paneer makhni and mutton rogan josh but it was so bad that I wasn’t even able to serve to my guests. No cap, it was so bad that we did not eat it, moreover we had to legit dump all of it! Garlic naan wasn’t bad even rogan josh was edible but paneer was toxic. Indian food is meant to be flavourful and Rich in ingredients but the quality of cottage cheese used was not even edible and rubbery. Disclaimer- Diabetic patients stay away from this place they are serving sugar syrup instead of flavourful gravy.

Just ordered for food from here on door dash and I can't describe food any other way but to call it horrendous. Yep, I ordered thinking it would be good looking all the reviews but God, this was the most disgusting food ever I have had in Toronto and trust me, I have eaten at various places. Everything in the veg Thali, I ordered was sour. Probably because it was stale or some wrong ingredients, I can't pin point for sure but yes, I threw the food in the dustbin immediately after the first bite. Maybe it was a bad day, may be something went wrong, maybe the place is good but I for sure am never ordering from here. If the management here has an issue with my review, they are most welcome to come and collect my trash bag for proof.

The food was good, but missed the mark at every dish. The meat needed more marination to absorb more flavour. The chicken pakora was more like tandoori flavoured chicken strips. The naan was decent.

We reached at 6:30 and got a table around 6:50pm on a Sunday evening. The server took over 20 minutes to come and get our order. Extremely slow service with full occupancy ( scary in covid times ) luckily they check vaccination proofs and ID’s. They had lots of take away orders too. We ordered the Masala Dosa and Onion Dosa along with Alu Paratha. After waiting for 20 minutes we ordered papad and luckily that came within 7 minutes or so. Then finally the masala dosa came at 7:40pm and the onion Dosa at 7:50pm. I got fed up as my Alu Paratha had still not come and I was getting hungry and built up acidity. To help pass time and hunger I ordered a mango lassi, which thankfully came with in 5/7 minutes. The Dosa was crisp thick and tasty but also extremely oily. The chutney was fantastic and sambhar tasted like a North Indian dal. The masala filling was tasty. The onion Dosa was tasty but again extremely oily, to the extent if you break a piece your hands get coated with oil. The mango lassi was good but pricy at $5. My biggest disappointment was the Alu Paratha ( which in a North Indian restaurant should have been perfected ) the Paratha was a tandoori roti with a tiny bit of potatoes. One would really need to search for the flavour and taste of the potato filling. They got a replacement for the Alu Paratha and this time there was sufficient stuffing. All I can comment for little India restaurant is that they have the technique and know how for the cuisine, but maybe because of the rush or lack of staff or just plain incompetence they can not deliver a good plate of food. Over compensating with oil won’t make it faster to cook, it spoils the overall experience. The balance between spices and oil needs to be perfected to create a dish. In the Little India I found that lacking. The servers seemed to be overloaded and overwhelmed. Would not recommend anyone for South Indian food. And not would I return to this restaurant.

All day been craving for Kothu Roti so came inside this wonderful Indian crusine lounge, ordered Chicken Kothu Roti, was breathtaking. Others have gave their Kothu Roti menu one of best in the City. Most definitely come there again in the future. Even SkiptheDishes customers have given great reviews of the place. Am a SkiptheDishes courier, it ain't a surprise. So check them out if feel like having Indian 😊

We’ve tried the dine for two combo. The selection of items were great and the quantity was too good for 2 people. Would have loved a spicier chicken dish. Full marks for the staff, they’re very friendly and obedient.

The menu offered a wide selection including many vegetarian options. The food itself was good but the garlic naan was definitely the star of the show! Great bread and a big portion too. The staff were also very friendly, offering free water throughout the meal. I got spinach paneer and a portion of garlic naan which together with 15% tip and taxes was about 30 CAD.

Undoubtedly one of the best Indian restaurants in the downtown. Food is amazing. Though service could be better. I’ve tried their: 1. Madras Chicken => Excellent and bit spicy 2. Chicken tikka masala => Mind blowing 3. Chicken Korma => Delicious and bit on sweeter side. 4. Saag Chicken => Good but I like above three dishes more. Chicken is so juicy and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are also decent. Overall, if you care a lot about service, you may get bit disappointed. But from food perspective, it’s just amazing.

The woman working there was super rude and disrespectful my friend was still eating and she just wanted to take away the plates. The food was good I had panner Tikka and naan even the guy who served us was nice.

Little India but with a big price! But that’s my personal opinion.. I had been here for a quick brunch with a couple of friends. They were full and so we were informed by the lady inside that had to wait for like 10-15 mins. Another lady came telling us that the wait time would be like 15-25 mins but eventually we got in within 15 mins. We ordered starters of veggie like the spring rolls and veggie starter set. Also we ordered spiced tea. The starter set was pretty disappointing as it had only 1 samosa 2 onion fritter 2 veggie fritter and 1 spring roll. The spring rolls were also 5. Good interiors and not very quick service maybe cuz they running low out of people . Very crowded but yes I’m glad they check vaccination proof

This place is absolutely amazing especially for Indian cuisine lovers. Staff is very friendly and polite. It was heart warming when they offered complementary desserts knowing it’s my birthday.

  • 5/5 Em&Em 3 years ago on Google
Really easy to order on their website and you get a text when it’s ready for pick-up! Surprisingly busy the time I went (evening + delivery pickups were waiting + some walk-ins) but my food came pretty fast (20 mins from placing the order to exiting). The only odd thing was that my butter chicken was super sweet — I don’t remember it being that sweet in the past — but it was super super sweet this time...

Authentic and traditional Indian food that is so delicious. This is my favourite place for butter chicken in Toronto! I usually order sides of garlic naan and steamed basmati rice. The combo dinner for two is a great option if you're very hungry. Excellent service. Reservations are accepted. We were walk-ins on a Saturday night at 6 pm and there was no wait to get a table for two, but the restaurant was pretty busy.

A Feast treat for those who come alone. Little India restaurant really nailed a lone foodie’s needs. They had the Meat Combo for one which I ordered which included a variety of curry and marinated BBQ along side Palau Rice and freshly baked naan(like, out of the oven type of fresh, with the crunch!). WOW was it perfect. You can try lots of their dishes in one go at the perfect serving size at a very reasonable price. The combo itself was 25 cad but hell it is the most worth it 25 I’ve spent alone in a restaurant.

  • 5/5 Kristen C. 4 months ago on Google
Best butter chicken with unique sweet flavour and customize your heat level. Service is always fast, generous and reliable. Cozy decor. Have been going for over a decade and every time it’s 10/10.

In 2023, due to inflation and rising living costs, prices and portions at Little India Restaurant have changed. Despite that, it's still a great occasional treat. The Butter Chicken sauce is fantastic and should be sold in jars – a must-have for everyone! You can't go wrong with the butter chicken dish.

  • 4/5 Manmeet kaur K. 5 months ago on Google
I like their food but it usually gets very busy during the evenings and the service tends to get slow. The rest is good, the tables are limited so sometimes you have to wait.

  • 5/5 Rajasekar M. 1 year ago on Google
We went here to have dinner and the food was really great. We ordered chicken pakora, vegetarian thali and kothu roti. Kothu Roti was amazing and they had with egg or chicken. Chicken pakora was tasty but the spicy level was less. They do have regular tea and coffee and it was okay.

Food was decent and prices were okayish compared to other Indian restaurant in downtown. However, the service was terrible had to wait for the longest time right from getting a table, to ordering, to getting food and even getting the bill. They even messed our order twice.

  • 5/5 Hillary C. 1 year ago on Google
Came here last week with a friend for the lunch special. It was a great amount of food + a little dessert was included too. My favourite was the butter chicken, there was so much sauce I could eat it with my naan. Lunch for $20 in Toronto is always a good time.

Edit (Apr '23): 5 stars for all the deliciousness :) the Mulligatawny soup is something I would go back for over and over again! I simply love it.. Good portions :) the Lamb rogan josh hit the spot too this time!! Prev (Sep'22) : 1 star stolen for the extremely undercooked lamb bites in the sizzling lamb tikka! The extremely flavourful Mulligatawny soup was something to die for - a must try !! The rest were ok, rather better than the general run-of-the-mill downtown Toronto eateries that serve Indian food! Polite staff members!

Nice restaurant in Downtown on Queen St W. The restaurant was packed and we waited about 15 minutes to get our table. My friend and I tried the Madras Curry with roti. I had never tried it before, and I'm not sure if this is a traditional recipe but I personally wasn't a fan of it. My friend liked it, but thought it was spicy. My friend also tried the Mango Lassi and said it was pretty good.

  • 3/5 Anil M. 7 months ago on Google
Not a great place to have Indian food ..had to wait for about 30 mins . Expensive ..quality of food was below average …rotis were quite thick …malai Kofta quantity was quite less …they even charged for pickle without informing and it is even missing in the menu attached …overall below average experience …

  • 5/5 Market R. 1 year ago on Google
Overall an absolutely excellent experience with perfect customer service. The food is extremely tasty and very flavourful. The best naan; thick, soft, chewy, with fresh garlic and nicely buttered. It's big and pulls apart like a nice pizza dough. The lamb Gosht Karahi is my favourite, as it's very complex, has fresh cilantro and stewed potatoes, and has a lot of spice (very hot). Spice level can be adjusted by request, however. The butter chicken and Mateer Paneer have a fresh sauce where you can clearly taste tomato and not just sugar and cream, like at many places.

  • 3/5 Snehashish C. 1 year ago on Google
The place is right very cozy and has a nice ambiance. The staff is quite courteous and attentive even when the place is very busy. The food is not authentic Indian food, the flavours are very toned down and have a sweet undertone. Quantity is very disappointing. The amount of Pulao Rice provided in the Veg Thali (meal) is quite less, same for Raita (barely two spoons). The Chicken Tikka Masala (a North Indian delicacy) is was sweet, the chicken a bit under cooked and the quantity just not enough for a person to eat two Naan bread pieces with. Not worth visiting again.

Very good Indian cuisine. Some of the absolutely best naan I’ve had. Vegetable pakora was great. The butter chicken sauce was incredible. The service was pretty poor, otherwise would’ve given 5/5 stars. Staff were friendly but appeared to be understaffed. Definitely recommend coming here.
