For an urban farm, it’s pretty awesome to have a farm within the city. It doesn’t always have all the farm animals available to see but during the summer time is when it is the best time to see a lot of the animals. It’s free to go in and it’s a great way for young kids to learn about animals and their habitat, what they eat and how they live. There’s also lots of trails to hike in the farm and an abundance of green trees and shade so you can bring a book to read or enjoy a nice picnic. There’s also summer camp for kids in the summer time too.

We visited this farm on a weekday. It is a small, but very well maintained farm. The kids loved seeing all the animals and the tractors. The animals seemed very relaxed and enjoyed being with the visitors as well. A rooster came out and proudly walked around us. There is a playroom at the end of the path (near the small pond), it is small but has lots toys for toddlers, and we spent some time in there as well.

A hidden gem in downtown Toronto. Beautifully kept farm on a large but well kept land. A must visit for all age. Walk through the farm and admire the plants and animals. Free entrance. Cannot take your pet though.

If you like nature and animals, this place will make your day. Good for all ages, riverdale farm is a must see and worth the trek if you’re outside the city. The staff are wonderful and care for the animals so well, you can tell how happy the animals are (I swear I caught a sheep smiling the other day). If you are lucky, you might be able to sneak a few pets of the property manager, May May (black cat).

Amazing farm in the heart of Toronto! Free admission, so definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and have some time. It's great for families or if you're just taking a stroll around the neighborhood. They have cows, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. The baby animals in the spring are so adorable and absolutely worth a visit!

Riverdale Farm is a peaceful haven in the heart of Toronto. This slice of country life in the city offers a delightful escape for all ages. The charming farm animals, historic buildings, and beautifully maintained gardens create an authentic rural atmosphere. It's a wonderful place to connect with nature, learn about farm life, and take a leisurely stroll. Riverdale Farm is a hidden gem that's both educational and a breath of fresh air in the urban landscape. 🌿🐓🏡

What’s not to like about a farm that is in the middle of the city. We took our toddler here for a stroll and he loved seeing all the animals. There is a path that leads you all around the farm some areas are paved and some have gravel. You can definitely bring your stroller here. We did! Also the farm is right beside Riverdale West Park. Beautiful park with a snack shop located outside the park. Splash pad for the kids.

This is a great place to take your little ones to see some farm animals and visit the barn. We got to walk around inside and meet the farmers. Great time. The paths were closed for the winter but I can imagine how beautiful it must be in the spring/summer when the trail and picnic areas open. Looking forward to coming back.

Incredible Toronto farm situated centrally, offering free entry – a must-see if you're nearby and have some spare time. Ideal for families or leisurely walks in the neighborhood, the farm features a variety of animals, including cows, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. Don't miss the utterly charming baby animals during the spring season; they're a delightful highlight that you won't want to miss!

What a great spot to bring our three year old grandchild. We all loved it. Sheep, goats, chickens, geese, turkeys, rabbits, cow and horses. Very historic property. Large public park right beside the farm, with a children's wading pool managed by the City of Toronto.

A nice short excursion, especially with kids with short attention spans. There are washrooms and water fountains onsite and I think a small cafe but it would be smart to bring your own snacks or a meal. Free parking on the south side of the farm. The park surrounding the park is also very nice and is worth exploring if you have more time. There is a wading pool in the summer at the park.

This colossal grassy area with a few scattered trees and benches at the roadside to sit and enjoy from a height seeing lots of people enjoying themselves in the ground is a good place to relax in the evenings. The Toronto skyline, including the famous CN Tower, provides a picturesque views that are able to fill the viewers with tranquility and great pleasure. This is a good relaxing place for the people of the neighborhood.

A great place for family activities. Now there is a cow, two houses, three piglets, one rabbit, two turkeys, two cats, several ducks and geese, many lambs and goats including little lambs. There are also some wonderful music classes (need to register on efun) and playroom for little kids in the meeting room.

A real chill place to visit. It's a small farm with a couple of horse-like animals, moo-cows, loud geese, chickens and sheep. The park it's beside is great! The farm would take 30 mins max and the park is good and big. Let the kids run and frolic. Bring your own food. There's a nice little take-out place on the corner, but it is a long wait if there's a long line.

A farm within a city. What a lovely place. Riverdale is a must go especially if you have animal lovers in your family. It is free and maintained by the city. Open all year long with various events for kids (during Halloween, fall, Christmas etc.)

Lovely little park. Some places had access denied. You could see the farm animals grazing around fenced. You can't ignore the smell, but a nice, short walk was sufficient for a quick look around.

We had a great day at the farm park. On display was goats, sheeps, cows, turkey, and rabbits. There is also a vegetable garden, where people can see what grows in the area. There was a very nice clean washroom for after petting the animals, even though you might not be able to do according to their signs, but just do a quickly. The staff is very nice and friendly. I would return back to this place.

I'm very disappointed. My little guy is a huge animal lover. It used to be great there, not so much anymore, all the animals are gone. I mean, theres a few, very few, tho. As I asked about a guy about it, he was rude as hell😒I guess the place is ok for a walk if you're looking for animals! They ain't got many left..very disappointing. I hope u all are happier then we were. Enjoy.. They do have a splash pad, if nothing else.

Its an average firm, 2 hourses, 1 cow, few sheeps, goats, some chickens etc-few animals were there to explore. There is a private house too where you can do private parties. Today there were a birthday party held. Overall a good experience but could have been better if more animals can be visible. Outside of the park there is riverdale park-which was a good place to explore, do picnic, walk etc

Used to live in Toronto, was traveling from New Brunswick. I visited my old stomping grounds (Cabbagetown) last week and had to check out Riverdale Farm. It's such a beautiful spot in the city, great for kids too. Lots of nice trails, artists paintings and the farm animals are great...although I felt sad for the cow who was chained up in the barn with just enough chain length to eat...about a foot and a half long, not even enough to shoo the flies off his back :( Why is it so short Riverdale Farm??

It is a nice farm, with free entry. I assume, usually, you could have entered barns and be more closer to animals rather than just viewing them in their pen but due to pandemic, it's not an option. Still, great experience particularly for the toddlers. Park next to the farm are great add on to make out picnic out of the farm trip.

A small animal farm in Toronto. Free entry. Roadside parking. They have cows, horses, goats, lambs, pigs and chicken. The barn is closed now because of Covid. Kids loved to see the animals and we loved the scenic beauty.

The view from the hill and Riverdale Park just under there on the right hand side is the farm it's a great place to take children for a family outing on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon then after you could sit on the side of the hill and watch the sunset and take this amazing picture of the skyline rich I've just presented to you great place to take a date or if you just want to relax and read one of Toronto's gems cheers 7

I like the farm of itself however I visited the first warm day entering spring so I'm not sure if that's the reason why there wasn't much animals to see... all I saw was 1 cow , 3 goats a sheep and a chicken.. lol but I would like to go back closer to or in summer so hopefully there's more action

Riverdale farm is those hiding places that make you feel you out of town, is like being in a secret garden , we usual visit with the kids are in vacation from school and if we lucky the offer free program of drop in so the kids can join either a farm activity or craft , depending of the season and occasion. Our favorite season to visit usual is spring when all the animal have new babies !

We enjoyed our visit to Riverdale Farm. We were staying in nearby Cabbagetown, and the farm was within walking distance. What a neat place in the middle of such an urban area! The animals were cute, and the farm was overall clean and well maintained.

Free farm what's there not to like? Cool park to find a farm within the city. Sadly we came towards the end of the day and some of the animals were put inside. Would recommend to check it out and go to Riverdale East to catch the sunset.

It is a nice place to bring kids because of the animals. Unfortunately the place requires maintenance to be more attractive and to give better home to the animals.

I love this place a lot . It’s locAted right behind the famous cabbagetown of downtown Toronto They have amazing looking barn and cute animals like bunnies, oinks , horses, cows, sheep and too many goats. This place is perfect for a mini weekend local tour with friends and family and the entry is absolutely free. They also have festival for the fall season, have diff types of roosters around To have a quick lunch /munch there is a ice cream/ food parlour on the corner opposite the park.

Riverdale Farm is open all year long and doesn't charge any entrance fee. You can observe some beautiful farm buildings as well as farm animals like turkeys, sheep and chickens. This place is particularly intriguing for infants and young children. Visiting the farm takes between thirty to sixty minutes. Restrooms are available but everything else is closed during the ongoing pandemic at the farm.

If you want to feel normal and surrounded by people, head to Riverdale park. You can have your picnic there or grab a good drink and pastry from the ROOSTER’s Coffe shop in front of it. The view is always mesmerizing. We go there whenever there is fireworks, and clear skies. One of our favourite places to go as a family with two kids or as a couple, even when I’m alone, it has serenity and you can feel the fresh air with a wonderful view of the downtown ( CN tower and the other buildings). Give it a try. And you will love it.
