I haven't been to the Science in years, but our Godson just turned 5 and they have never been before. It really hasn't changed as in hands on and exhibits to see. Some of the new exhibits were really good. He loves space, so level 4 was visited a couple of times. Excellent place to take the kids so they can learn, touch and experiment. We arrived there just after 10 and left after 3. Staff great , exhibits and everything else was really good. Thank you for a good day. Bubba.

Such a great educational experience. You can go there with your family, too much fun for kids and adults. The staff was friendly. If you are visiting during winter better to know that when you arrive and get your tickets you have to wait for shuttle buses around 5 minutes so don’t take off your jacket ( if you have strollers or wheelchairs you will take accessible buses) There are 6 levels. The best for me were levels 6 and 4. There is no level 1 actually. (the shuttle bus will drop you off in level 6) Level 4 is great for kids they will play music, do gardening, bakery, building and other activities they can also play with water and build dams and … the good point is that level 4 has nursing room too. There are sanitizers everywhere. Clean washrooms with changing table. Better to bring your own snacks and water bottles. But there is restaurant and snack bar inside the building as well. Parking lot costs 12$ Admission fee is: 22$ for adults 16$ for seniors 13$ for child 3-12 Under 3 is free

This is the most recommended place for kids. Visited the science centre with my 4 Years old. They had lots of fun and learning experience. There are 5 levels - we could visit only Bugs hall and Space one. Kidzone is super fun. Experience and recommendations: 1. You can not cover this place in one visit so better to buy membership pass - Planetary pass. 2. Should plan full day as there are so many activities and level. Ticket says 30 minutes but it is an amazing place to spend days. 3. Also plan to see IMAX movies as kids will enjoy it. 4. You need to walk a lots so you may carry stroller for toddlers. 5. Weekends tickets are sold out quickly so plan in advance. The only hack is that members have special slots so you can find some slots if general category is booked. 6. There are experts available at each level and can share their knowledge. Have fun and teach science.

Note that the bridge connecting the entrance and exhibition is closed. Shuttle buses are provided. I suggest you not to store your jackets at the entrance as you will need to ride the shuttle bus outside. There are lots of lockers available in the exhibition area. It’s a good place for family and kids to visit. The IMAX theatre experience is good.

This place will always be my favourite place to visit. And not just for the nostalgia it provides, but it’s always endless fun and many things to explore and see and do - for ALL ages. What also makes this place so great is the incredible staff. The scientists and staff come and greet you and ask how you are and if you need anything. It’s such a happy and friendly environment, it’s no wonder there are so many children enjoying this lovely centre. My 4 year old loved it so much, we spent around 5 hours here because it was so interesting, engaging and welcoming. I’ve been going to this Science Centre since I was a small girl and will continue to for many more years to come.

Our experience at the Ontario Science Center with four kids was nothing short of phenomenal! The center's interactive exhibits and engaging displays captivated the children's curiosity, turning learning into an exciting adventure. The variety of hands-on activities catered to different age groups, ensuring each child found something fascinating. From exploring physics concepts to interactive biology exhibits, the Science Center made education enjoyable for kids of all ages. The staff's enthusiasm and willingness to assist with explanations added to the overall positive experience. It was not just a day of learning but a fun-filled exploration that left a lasting impression on the kids. The highlight for our group was the IMAX film, a captivating visual experience that complemented the day's educational activities perfectly. The Ontario Science Center is a haven for families, providing an enriching blend of education and entertainment. Highly recommend for an inspiring and interactive day out with kids!

A good place for Science lover and curious. So much to explore in a day, I'll say you'll need minimum 3 days to explore this place and appreciate everything. I took the annual pass to make sure I'll get to enjoy the place. With the pass you get to bring guests and free parking, 12 movie passes. It's hard to give details here, I think the experience is well worth it.

Since my family and I have a membership, we decided to come and visit the museum today. The bus ride was about 20 minutes. We walked instead of taking the shuttle bus because the line was too long. Previously, we have had experiences of food poisoning from the cafe, so we packed our own lunch and were able to get seating. This museum is amazing. There are exhibits for all- from deep water exploration to bat caves to the reproductive system. Came with kids and explored the play area on the second floor. Had a blast. Overall a great experience and would come back again.

Always a fun time for kiddos. The large children area just re-opened. There are dinning areas for people that bring their own food right across and a bit past the entrance to the cafeteria. Very busy on weekends. The kiddos thoroughly enjoyed the temporary exhibit with the bugs

Science experiments on the go .. beautifully presented concepts and so so many things to explore . The ground floor had many sections where there are properties of magnets , fulcrum, pulley and so so much of physics with reasoning. The biology section has such pretty demonstable skeletons . The second floor is more of Watch and learn. The fourth floor has the kids of the toddler section which was so well maintained and equipped. . There are pretend castles and. play area . The planetarium lies on the same floor where a few cool display are present . I feel it’s a must visit .. my 5 year old loved it ❤️❤️

So much to do, so little time! You can spend a whole week in here and still probably not see everything. There are so many exhibits and activities for young and old. It's a huge building with many different areas so be prepared to do a lot of walking. It's great for tiring kids out!!

I haven't been back here for a while (a decade +) and forgot how fun and educational this place is! It's definitely a great place to spend the day with kids. There are plenty of interesting things for the adults as well. Did you know there's a big plant called Tulip Tree? I didn't. I like it that the entire place is spacious with high ceilings. There are so many interactive & interesting things strategically placed not too far from each other so visitors don't crowd into one place. Can you spot the dragon lizard?

I used to visit often as a child. As much as things are different here, so many familiar exhibits. Some things are missing. Like the moon lander. Unless it is somewhere I haven't found yet. My daughter loves the Kidspark section. It's essentially an indoor playground. This is something that wasn't around when I was younger. Overall, it's a nice place to visit. So nice, we converted our tickets into a yearly membership. Edit 20220619: The front entrance is currently blocked so you either have to walk to the back of the science centre or you can take a shuttle to the back.

This is where I have been taking my kids for over 10 years. We love this place. So much fun. The scientists are amazing and ready to answer questions. The updates to the exhibits are always a wonderful surprise.

Good place to visit with kids! Big parking space, fee is 12$. Tickets are 22 for adult, 13 for kids. We were there for 3 hours and see only 2 levels, so definitely will visit again. My children like the kids area.

We came here as a year end event with the kids and kinda disappointed to see that a lot of things has been taken out. Especially the space area so little to see now. The gift shop is also gone just a small little both in the way out. They have 2 dinning area one with nicer tables and seats. The other just like high school lunch tables and seats. The kids had the most fun running around in the great hall as there was nothing there just open space. Not too sure if this was due to renovation of the bridge.

Fun place, especially if you have a young child who needs stimulation- as a dad I had fun too engaging with my son. There were alot of things and they can find 1 thing they enjoy and stick with it for hours. Although the weekends can get busy with all kids running around, will feel like a daycare with no parental supervision. Other than that it is advisable to go on a weekday if possible.

Loved my first visit to the science centre! We could not even complete the ground floor in three hours and aim to go again! Highly interactive with the kids experiencing sound by playing on drums or just going into a silent zone! Excellent exhibition on the developing embryo inside a mothers womb! Fascinating actually ! The small rainforest with its colourful frogs etc etc kids can have their run recorded and test their rowing skills as well ! Enough said.. go experience

If you have a toddler, they will love Kidspark. Lots of things to do here from music to building blocks to castles and houses. The water station was perhaps the best of all. My daughter did not want to leave. I recommend bringing a change of clothes as they will get wet.

I always enjoyed visiting the Ontario Science Centre as a kid. I have to admit each time I visit nowadays, the exhibits are less fun & interesting. Gone are the fun sports interactive exhibits. Some of the new exhibits require more than 5 minutes per person leading to hour long lineups on weekends. Be warned, the bridge from the entrance to the exhibits is now closed with no definitive date to repair as I was told. Shuttle bus service is required from the top of the hill to the exhibit entrance down in the valley. It is quite tedious to go back-and-forth. The saving grace is the IMAX films that are much better visually and plot-wise than I recall. The price of admission is only slightly more to watch the IMAX film along with the exhibits so it is well-worth it.

This is great place to spend a day, specially if you have kids. They, for sure will have an amazing experience. There are many interactive exhibits that will allow them, as well as you, to learn many things. I recommend including one of the IMAX movies presented along the day. Ensure to get there early to be able to go through all the exhibits. There is a bus the will take you from the main building to one closeby. The waiting time might be an issue.

An excellent place to come bring your family. They have several floors of fun and educational displays. It does seem that most of the displays are for younger kids. The cost of admissions is fair and they have some cool stuff in the gift shop. Facility was very clean and tidy. All others were in top notch place. We spent about 6 hours here! Loads of fun! I highly recommend this place!

First time coming to the Ontario Science Centre. It was a good and positive experience for our kids. There were multiple floors for them to enjoy learning about things and getting to build/play/experiment with what they are learning. A little bit of an inconvenience to have to take the shuttle to get into the science center due to the construction but wasn't too bad. We felt the 4pm closing time was a bit early on a Friday and had to rush through the floors to try to do as much as we could but regardless it's a fun place for kids to learn and have fun at the same time.

I will say the content of this centre is very extensive and can really be enjoyable and informative to folks of all ages. However, having parts of the centre closed was not what I was expecting such as the outdoor area which was odd to me since a lot of people didn’t have issues walking outside to get to the rear entrance instead of taking the shuttle due to long lines, and having the space planetarium closed without an explanation posted was very disappointing since I was looking forward to it. The OMNIMAX movie experience is very neat and a cool experience for seeing a movie on such a big screen. There are also a lot of interactive exhibits which help you appreciate the science behind it. One last thing, I understand that this is place is mainly for kids, but parents please look after your kids, I have seen so many without supervision and causing a disturbance which made it hard to enjoy certain attractions and can really make the time there enjoyable with so much screaming. Overall, not a bad place to go for the first time.

Could not remember the last time I was here, but we had a blast! Staff was super super nice, polite and helpful. You need at least 3+ hours to see everything at a good pace. Omnimax film was super cool, girls had a great time for their first movie Super Dogs!!! Food was surprisingly reasonably priced I was expecting to get gouged for food. Lockers when needed ( bring a loonie ) and it was WAY bigger than I thought. Be ready for stairs and escalators parents. We are for sure going back maybe a weekday as it was busy busy.

Absolutely great place. We loved the space section, a lot to learn in a fun and an intuitive way. Kids had a lot of fun learning. It would take half a day if you intend to take your time to see, learn and interact. There is easy access via transit, enough parking and accessible washrooms. Kids might get tired walking. But over all a great place to take your kids. Imax theatre was also cook.

The Ontario Science Center is a fantastic destination for both kids and adults alike, offering a multitude of engaging exhibits and activities. The Science Arcade on Level 6 is perfect for young kids, providing hands-on exploration of physics concepts through magnets, pulleys, weights, and sound experiments. The interactive Plasma Globe adds an exciting element to the experience, captivating the kids' curiosity. The Space Hall is a wonderful attraction for space enthusiasts, showcasing meteorites from Mars and providing a fascinating glimpse into cosmic rays. It offers an educational journey for kids to learn about space shuttles, rockets, planets, the solar system, and the vastness of the observable universe. It's a captivating and enlightening experience that sparks curiosity about the wonders of outer space. Kidspark is a haven of fun and learning for younger kids. With numerous activities tailored for the little ones, it offers an engaging environment for hands-on exploration and discovery. The variety of activities ensures that children are entertained and inspired while learning new things. Overall, a great educational experiences for children of all ages. It's a must-visit destination for families seeking a fun and enriching scientific adventure.

My 9 year old son had a blast at the Ontario science center! Highly recommended. Great experience for kids of any age to explore and have fun. Outside food and beverages is allowed which was a bonus! There's also a food court if you wish to purchase food . Overall, great experience and easy to navigate your way around. There are a lot of staff to assist you if you have any questions.

I came here with my 2 kids as tourists from Israel. We came in the summer. There were many kids there because of summer break. A lot of noise, very crouded. This place feels more like a playground than a science museum. The kids had fun. The place is nice, the staff is very helpful, but I feel this place is not as educational as it is playful.

The Ontario Science Center in Toronto is good for kids and families. It offers a wide array of interactive exhibits that engage and educate visitors of all ages. The facility is clean, with well-maintained spaces and restrooms. The center's emphasis on interactivity and educational experiences make it a memorable destination. It has a restaurant that provides standard fare like pizza and burgers, it serves its purpose as a convenient dining option.

There are a lot of activities for small kids. My 5 year old and 4 year old kids loved the experience. We needed more than 3 hours to truly experience the whole place, which unfortunately we didn't have. The exhibit halls have to be accessed from the rear entrance, and there are frequent shuttle busses that run between the main and the rear entrances. The family center was really fun and engaging for us. It's a great learning experience.

Was very excited to come here, we arrived later in the day due to other plans having been priority. The main entrance- we realized we needed to take a shuttle to the exhibits as the bridge is closed? We didn’t have to wait long for a ride thankfully (each way). The exhibits don’t seem to have an order to follow and sometimes we found ourselves a little turned around. There’s some on different floors as well. Probably should’ve done research on areas to see prior to going but usually museums and things like this have a better flow. we used a city pass to get tickets which was well worth it since this experience wasn’t our favourite. It’s aimed more so at children and families. It has a lot of fun experiments but it seems very dated in some ways and a lot of things were out of service which was sad. I enjoyed the Moderna exhibit- maybe because I’m in health care. I didn’t learn too much- but what I did was fun little tidbits and I really liked seeing the models and human body in action. We didn’t try food court. Parking was 12$ on entry. It’s a lot of walking as well but they have a lot of accessibility options. A little underwhelmed and disappointed, it seems if you plan your day to do the live experiments and events with the staff it would be better. Also staff was super involved and fun.

The Ontario Science Centre is a location where you can escape reality, a large facility that goes a long way toward making science approachable, exciting, and enjoyable. While I was there, I learnt a lot, and everything is presented in a fun way. Staff who very patient and knowledgeable about the exhibits. It is unquestionably worthwhile to pay a visit!

It’s a great place to keep your little ones busy on a rainy day. The best time to come is right on opening, much more comfortable - less people. At this point only the Valley Restaraunt is open, and lunch options are limited to soup of the day, pizza, hot dog, sandwiches, chips etc. Most of the food neither healthy or yummy. If you have kids under 8 years and plan to visit KidSpark play zone either come at 10, or make sure to take a timed ticket ahead of time (this is separate from your time slot for general admission); they have capacity limits.

We went with our 4 kids aged 8 and under on a weekday but it was during the winter break so it was very busy. It took a very long time to get into the parking lot however once in and parked, buying the tickets was easy. They had a free shuttle that you had to wait for to bring you to see the exhibits. We went for the Dinos in Motion however found it to be disappointing. We had the impression you could control the dinosaur movement but there were on a couple you could do that to and even then, it wasn't much movement. I love the interactive exhibits for the kids. There was very little seating for eating and we had to wait a while to find a table. I do find the pricing to be very reasonable! We spent the entire day there and the kids were entertained the whole time and loved all the interactive learning experiences.

Love this place every single time, such a great and nostalgic place. Everything is almost Identical to how I remembered it and that was super cool to just know what I wanted to see and where I wanted to go, so it was really nice. I missed this place, and it's crazy that this facility will be moving soon, but overall, great experience. We also watched an IMAX movie and that was super nice so yea!

Great fun for anyone! Families with children, couples, adults, just anyone curious about science and wanting an interactive experience. It's a popular spot to visit among families with children. Children love that they can interact and play with certain aspects of the exhibits, not just look. It's a great way for them to use their sensory motor skills. The exhibits are made so well. Intrigues adults, not just children. It's also very informative so you can learn lots while you're here. Their valley restaurant is open to limited capacity and have designated dining areas.

If you are in to science, this is a wonderful place to visit. Lots of things to see and do for children and adults. They always seem to have some kind of special exhibit going on as well. But if you wanna do some special events you will have some price attached. The kids loved it here. So much hands on learning. I enjoyed it too. The price was great for what was offered. Visit this place you won't be disappointed. There is a lot to see. Have fun!✌

It's a fantastic place to take the kids. All of the interactive learning exercises were a hit with them. There's a lot to see and do, and the exhibits are rather engaging. There were no issues with us bringing in our own snacks and other items. We took public transportation because it was very crowded and parking was scarce. Because it is such a large area, at the very least a full day is required to fully explore it.

Always a pleasure visiting the science center. Certain things still aren't open but it was a good time regardless. Good thing to do indoors when the weather isn't so good. But also a great place for adults with some pretty interesting exhibits and full of all sorts of different information and knowledge. Will return of course. We were there for 5 hours and it seemed like at most 2. Loved it.

I just visited the Science Center during the third phase of Covid. It was at a reduced capacity, with online ticket sales that were timed. Some displays were closed during the reopening of COVID they can't afford social distancing or sanitation but majority exhibits were open. Even during such trying times, the personnel at Covid were exceedingly pleasant and helpful, making our stay that much more delightful. Hopefully the Science centre can return to normal soon! I will definitely go again...

Many interesting areas have been closed so far. Accessable areas are limited. Suggest- delay the visit plan. But, 🤭because we’re memberships that expire at the beginning of 2021 have been extended. So I bought child come again. And I took the picture about “the death of the sun.”for every one!🤗 New space has been added here, and the production is quite exquisite, which is very worth watching with children! The life patterns of insects that have been magnified dozens of times are really special.

This place is awesome! The staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to really love working there. The exhibits change from time to time, but they're hands on so that helps for hands on learners. They cover a vast amount of science related topics, so there is definitely something for everyone. The seats in the movie theater are the only down side. I have a back conditon and poor circulation so I had trouble getting out of the seat due to how low to the ground they are. It doesn't feel like these seats have enough leg room either as I felt cramped during the show. This shocks me since I am not a very tall person (5ft 3). Regardless of this, my family had a blast. We brought our 13 year old homeschooled daughter with us and she loved it too. Will definitely do it again!! Just a heads up, you need to reserve your time to ensure you'll get in. It was pretty quiet when we went on a Thursday early afternoon.

Great place to take the kids of all ages over 1 and let them go wild. Even my one year old was having a blast! Make sure you use the coupons available online and get a discount and buy in advance! Food is also reasonably priced there so family can have a decent outing without breaking the bank too much. Definitely recommend it - My kids are addicts now. Recommend weekdays so it is not crazy busy.

A mixed bag. I’ll start off by explaining that I haven’t been to the Science Center in well over a decade. But when I was a kid I would come all the time and would attend summer camps and would have some amazing experiences. But SO much has changed. Start off by the bridge being closed for no posted reason which is really a shame because that entrance really immerses you in nature and starts your journey off right at the Science Center. Instead, you wait in line for a shuttle to take you down the hill to the rear entrance. (Is walkable, but we went in Mid November with a 4 year old and a 7 week old). Walked in the rear entrance and the place seems empty. Lots of empty spaces and missing exhibits. The areas seemed unorganized except for the original Space and Living Earth exhibits. The way the exhibits were laid out really had so rhyme or reason and it was a really odd layout. The food in the cafeteria is WAY overpriced. Bring your own food! Now for the positives. The exhibits themselves are great! Amazing information for all ages and lots to explore and get your hands on. My 4 year old loved the rainforest and the interactive Dino exhibit. And loves playing with other kids at the interactive floor in the lower level main hall.

Anne, the lovely woman with the cute septum piercing working at the ticket purchasing area, was such a delight to speak to! She was extremely friendly and helpful. My partner and I had a few questions regarding ticketing and CityPass, and she was so knowledgeable! She is a wonderful face to the exhibit. The gentleman working at the parking lot collecting parking fees was also very cheerful and bubbly. I had a fun time learning about science. The crowd is definitely mostly parents with their children. I will train at the gym so I can win the rowing machine battle next time!

Excellent place for kids to have fun and learn. I used to go there when I was young, it was exciting. Over the years I have been there few times but the place got boring and nothing new. But I went there after 3 years and it looks so different. They have regular exhibits which they change every few weeks which keeps it fresh. My kid loved it. The SparkFun area is also very nice. Kids can run around and play and learn at the same time. It is great place for kids specially since lots of kids are stuck home doing virtual schooling. Good for their mental health. I spend 2 hours on 1 floor only. They have multiple floors so I can imagine going back again soon and my kid going to go crazy. I like the fact that management is doing timed entry to keep the crowd control. Good. 1 thing to point out is that I am not sure how can the management keep the surfaces clean. I don't think its possible during the day as people keep coming in and touching everywhere. I am sure they sanitize after the closing. I can't blame them, its not easy. So if you are going there, keep this in mind that everyone is touching everywhere so you need to protect your kid yourself. I had my kids wear gloves and sanitized as much as possible. Keep safe. Great place to spend few hours with kids.

Clean, educational, enjoyable experience for all ages. Took my 2 year old and she had a blast. Make sure to grab tickets for kidspark when you enter (free) so you secure a spot. Your kid will thank you, this area is so thoughtfully designed. Love the market and farm. I feel like I need to go a few more times to really take in each exhibit and get to enjoy each aspect. Because there is a lot to see. Cafeteria and washrooms are clean. Would love to come back again, was nice revisiting after more than 10 years! Pic is from Rainforest, this was my favorite part then and now.

A great family outing for all ages with Lots of fun interactive activities to explore. Admission rates were reasonable for a family of four to visit. We opted to get the yearly membership bc it also includes reciprocal membership to other science centres including London’s childrens museum and muskoka discovery Center (and so many more). You’ll need at least 3+ hours to explore everything. Outside food is allowed and they have water bottle refill stations throughout. Currently there is a big exhibit which was a big hit with my kids.

Wonderful interactive experience. You won't become all knowing from your visit but you will learn many things. Getting there - we were stuck on South bound on Don Mills but cars coming from South or east weren't stuck in a queue. Plan ahead and get a ticket by calling to reserve a spot. Bring your own bottle of water. There is a cafeteria with limited kid friendly options. Level 5-6 were the most interesting for us ( kids 10-13). There is a lot of walking so plan for breaks or stroller for little kids. Lots of washrooms, gender and gender neutral. There is also baby care rooms. Everything was accessible if you can reach the buttons to call and guide the elevator. I'm not sure about visual accessibility though. I didn't notice braille but maybe there is an app. If you are only going once, There is a lot to touch and experience. Check the online floorplans before going and start on areas that interest you most. Lots of accessible parking but the side walks might be a little hazardous in winter. The staff were very helpful and friendly, however, they were hard to find. We really enjoyed the innovation center, the ice age and space.

Visited during march break. Great exposure to the different exhibitions. Many things for kids to have endless fun with. You need at least a full day to visit everything. All-time favourite #IMAX #Omniplex - Amazing experience with Asteroid 🎬

I've been going since I was a kid. Now I bring my kiddos. The thing I appreciate the most about the Ontario Science Center is that almost all of it has a hands-on element. Exploring and learning about science is so much fun when we get to experience it and the science center does a great job allowing visitors of all ages to explore. They also have a whole floor dedicated kids space with even more for little to explore at their level. Highly recommend. We usually go on weekdays. Not sure how busy it would be on weekends.

great place to visit with kids. Even adults liked it. many different themed rooms. there is an observation deck. Every day there are additional video screenings in the cinema. there is a coffee shop inside. the bus takes you and picks you up from the museum. Parking is paid $12. there is a small tropic park. You need to spend at least 5 hours here to see everything))

On the whole, it is a good place but needs maintenance and replacement of older items so that it keeps on attracting the people, specially the students. Such places develop interest of younger generation in science and technology and these fascinations help produce great scientists, engineers and other professionals.

We were visiting Toronto for the weekend and saw there was a pretty cool looking science museum when we were searching for things to do. My husband loves science museums, so we try to visit one when we visit a new city. The Saturday that we went, (first Saturday of May) happened to be free admission, so it worked out. Or so we thought. The museum opens at 10 am, and we thought we were getting there early at 9:45, but there were hundreds of people in line already. They must have been there since at least 9. There's also nobody there directing people where to go, until the museum actually opens. We hopped on line for what we thought was for the entrance, but by the time we got towards the front, we realized it was actually just for the SHUTTLE to get to the entrance. We waited about 40 minutes and it was only a 2 minute ride. Something we could have easily walked if someone would have been there to organize traffic. Inside was pretty much just chaos, as you would expect. We only stayed for an hour before we gave up and didn't want to deal with the crowds anymore. If it weren't for that, it seems like a pretty cool museum. There are things to learn for adults too, so it's not just a kiddie activity museum. I wouldn't mind coming back and just paying full price one day if I'm ever in Toronto again. But I definitely wouldn't recommend going on the free admission day, unless you like to stress yourself out.

The Ontario Science Centre is an incredible attraction that must see for every visitor to Toronto - and even every resident who lives here! A remarkable building (designed to last over 250 years) it’s a monument to science, education and imagination. Fun for kids of all ages! Sadly they don’t build public institutions like this anymore!
