My wife and I booked to take the tour on the 2nd of April 2023. It was a gloriously sunny day, albeit about 2°C. We purchased on the premise of an open top bus tour, but to our disappointment they used a filthy double decker closed top bus. We were extremely disappointed having used this company before in many other cities and in an open top bus in worse conditions. We missed out on lots of photo opportunities throughout the tour due to the obstructions of the roof, filthy windows and other people. The guide was well spoken, knowledgeable and expressed his apologies to us as we were not on an open top bus tour, especially having paid CAD78 (which includes a boat tour which is only seasonal and wasnt on), so two stars for the tour guide. Tips for tourists: check forecast and message their Facebook page / email to confirm type of bus being used before you book (if its on the day or day before). Our tour was disappointing in the closed top bus and we felt kinda conned. Sit on the left hand side that's where most of the sights seem to be on the route. Tips for City Sightseeing : I know your T&Cs state you reserve the right to use closed top buses, but when this happens:- 1) Inform folk who have booked this is what will be used so they are not disappointed. Offer refund if customer not happy. 2) Offer a discounted "restricted view" rate if closed top bus is used instead, and not full price. I wouldn't pay a full price ticket for a sporting event, for example, to then be told its RV before entry and by the way, it's still full price. 3) Remove the boat tour from the ticket and reduce overall price if its off season. Or at least give the option of bus tour only and at a reduced rate. 4) Whatever bus is being used, make sure it's clean and tidy. This bus was filthy, inside and out and some of the windows, and ones on the roof were obscured. Some of the aircon vents were faulty and it was at max for full 2h tour, couldn't close mine and had to move seat. Even the seat the guide was on was broken and wouldn't spring back from being fully retracted. Overall, for the price we paid, severely let down on the Toronto tour (taken April 02 2023), unlike your other City Sightseeing options which are generally better value.

With all the construction 🚧 in Downtown Toronto this tour is the only way to go! Hopefully you’ll get Emanuel as your tour guide because he was the one and only competent tour guide on all the buses we road today 9/11/2023. He’s more in tune with giving good tours than anyone else I witnessed! Even when a female ticket solicitor talked right over his presentation in front of us on the bus just to make a sale on tickets to Niagara Falls… Sales Commission I guess? 💵 What was she thinking 🤔

$60 per adult gets you unlimited access for 24 hours to the tour. It also gives you a free ride on the cruise. Approximately 2 hour round trip. Informative and great open top tour...albeit very warm as it was 32°c. Well worth it to orientate and get to know the city.

Anytime I visit a new city, it is a must that take some type of bus tour. It was a very unexpectedly cold day in Toronto, but we braved the winds and I almost did not want to but I made it on the city see sightseeing city bus! Our tour guide Monn not only gave us an informative tour but provided us with an interactive experience! He knew all the good picture taking spots, he was knowledgeable, funny, and an all around great tour guide! I would definitely do this again and next time I will get off at more stops and explore. 10/10 would recommend.

We went on this hop on hop off in Toronto in May long weekend and it was an experience to forget! The tour did not have the boat cruise and all it had was a poor show of taking us around some sections of Toronto, and for that price for 3 people, it was a bad deal. In the bus, we were given earphones to hear the guide from our seats but we could not hear anything, despite we informing the guide about this problem! Please note, that the last bus is way early in the day at 415pm, which for end spring and summer, is mid day and not end of day! All in all, we would not do this tour again and not recommend to anyone.

It is a Very well organised tour -what an affordable way to get to see the entire city of Toronto. The bus was quite pleasant, comfortable and the guides on board are very friendly and informative. So make sure you get into a bus which guides are boarded. The guides added their own experience when they talked about the city's history and about the areas. Very very interesting. Your ticket is valid for 48 hours and the harbour cruise ticket is valid for a life time. There is no expiry date for the ticket. The cruise experience was excellent and you can see the entire Toronto sky line -it was an amazing view. There are couple of different maps therefore take two maps.one of the maps is more detailed than the other. You CANNOT move or change your seat when the bus is on the move. Toronto transportation is expense therefore this is the best way to explore the city.

Highly recommend if you want to see overall Toronto downtown on a double deck bus with no roof. One round trip is about 2h, you can hop on and hop off anywhere anytime for one day. They go through various famous tourist attractions. The ticket is a bit pricey but you can also use it for boat tour at harbourfront during summer, weather permitted.

Its a pleasant way to spend a sunny day, just sitting on the bus and exploring the city. Though, please note that this Toronto city tour can only be enjoyable for the first time. I also couldn't help but feel somewhat sorry for the guides; they were exceedingly polite but appeared rather bored out of their mind due to the repetitive nature of their job. I appreciated the historical narratives of the places we visited. Our guide was a student of University of Toronto and she was exceptionally knowledgeable in the city’s history, but as I said, she seemed unenthusiastic at times 😀. She occasionally skipped over some details, but overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Really good hop on, hop off bus tour, probably the best one I've been on anywhere. Goes to all the main areas with plenty of stops. Headphones are provided for the pre-recorded commentary in numerous languages along the way, but the live commentary by the bus host in English was great. Main stop is Yonge-Dundas square. It used to include a harbour cruise but this seems to have been discontinued sadly, however that didn't finish our enjoyment of the bus tour.

It's a great way to see the city AND hear the back story of some of the buildings that you would otherwise just walk past. It helped that we had a great tour guide - Mann, I think his name was - very knowledgable, lots of energy, great sense of humour. Definitely time well spent.

    - This is a great sightseeing tour, and I wish I had done it years ago - The two main landmarks of it are the harbor-front boat tour & Casa Loma - Reasonably priced, yet you better buy your tickets there at the square as it's a little cheaper than using a third party site - I see a lot of complaints about the headset, but I had no issues on any of the several buses I used - Some guides would encourage you to fall asleep, but others like Keith were great - Not sure why some buses had the old maps! - Prices for admission to attractions should be shared earlier or printed on the map, so tourists can plan accordingly

Great way to see the city and figure out what you will do in Toronto if you've never been. Has multiple stops along its route which the knowledgeable guides inform you about. You can also get a great deal from them on a full day Niagara Falls tour which I also highly recommend doing.

Other than a crabby bus driver, both the person in the ticket booth and our tour guide were very pleasant, friendly and quick to smile. I have lived here all my life and I've never taken this tour. We had a relative visiting from another country and really enjoyed the whole experience and what we learned about our city. Great tour to show someone new to the city around and get an idea of attractions to visit. Would highly recommend to anyone that has not been on this tour to take a ride for a couple of hours and experience this wonderful city.

Recommend taking a tour on your first day here. You get a good overview of the city, and you get a great and simplified map that is easy to navigate when you get around the city on your own.

You can do better on your own for cheaper. The hop on-hop off is quite pricey, but they have an hour boat tour which should not be missed. See Toronto's islands and a nice skyline. Great for pictures.

Tourist in my city thanks to City Sightseeing Toronto! This experience is great for tourists and locals alike. Who said it had to be for tourists only? As a local, I am actually glad I took the tour as I got to learn so many interesting facts about Toronto that I didn't know of. The staff were professional and covid safety protocols were in place. Even though I went on a rainy day, I still enjoyed the tour (they also have rain ponchos so your clothes don't get wet). The tour length was great too. Not too short and not too long. The guide was very knowledgeable and as he also made some jokes along the way, it made the tour more entertaining.

We had a limited time visiting Toronto from US. The planning of City Sightseeing involved details like different locations to get on the bus, parking and timing of last tour etc I sent multiple emails to the City Sightseeing information center. Anna responded every time with detailed information and suggestions very quickly. I appreciated the professionalism ! She went above and beyond! Thank you! The tour was great! It gave us a real vibe of Toronto. Worth every penny. Highly recommend it. Marika Schoeneberger

I think there is a lot more to learn about Toronto (3/5) Price: The price is correct given the system which is very good (5/5) (Original) Système: J’ai bien aimé le fonctionnement de ce genre de bus touristique. Perfect experience for tourists in Toronto! Absolutely perfect! Now cause of COVID you only get 2 hours on the bus but really I shouldn’t say Only. Through the tour you get to know about great interesting info about the city and the history. And you get full translation of the explanation to other languages 👍 -we were also able to go with our small dog which was great!

Love the group here! It's amazing how they got real London Buses over to Toronto! It just have been a trek! The staff are amazing and full of joy all the time. It's amazing how much knowledge you can pick up here, some that isn't generally helpful, but most are something that you go home to and feel like you've accomplished something.... the group should be very proud.

Enjoyed the large loop and friendly staff. The recorded narration was a little off at times - too late or not synced with what we were passing (understandable; lots of construction!). Lots of beautiful architecture, old & new. Increased my understanding of TO history. Increased my respect for Canada's largest city.

Very disappointing. As seen previously on these reviews - bus broke down, boat broke down. No remorse. Joined the bus at Front St. Got off at the harbourside (Amsterdam Brewhouse), to join the island boat trip. Waited 15 mins, then to be told the boat had a fault - now have to wait for the next one. 50 mins later, boat turns up. The boat trip was great, btw. Had lunch at the harbour. Then proceeded to catch the next available bus, and proceed with the tour. That scheduled bus had also broken down. Again, had to wait for the next one. Then, just a few stops later ( Dundas Square), we were told to get off. The buses stop running at 6! Unbelievable. Nowhere on the booking form or the ticket, or the actual map/brochure - does it say they finish so early. We are tourists, unfamiliar with Toronto - and left to find and pay for, our own way back to Front Street. Absolutely unprofessional, uncaring, and unapologetic. Thanks for spoiling our day.

We were on the bus today in Toronto, several stops were closed but the tour overall was fine. We know they said keep your tickets but when we got off the bus my wife checked her pocket and the ticket was gone. We had gotten on at stop 1 and off at 14. We thought maybe it was in our bag so we checked that and by that time the bus was gone. We went to get back on another bus at the same stop and they told us no because we lost the ticket and they had told us not to lose it. We had the receipts , one ticket, and our headphones in our hand. We had just gotten the tickets 2 hours before. They did not make an exception or offer any help.

Mann is the best tour guide we have ever had. He didn’t stop with fun facts, funny jokes and information on the city. We then asked for recommendations and he basically gave us things to do for a day! 100% recommending this tour if you have Mann as your guide!

My family and I rode the City Sight Seeing tour of Toronto. It was a nice experience for visiting downtown Toronto. We got on at stop one and listened to the tour guide talk about the historic sights of downtown and surrounding areas. Then we got off the bus to walk around the area. The next tour guide described the areas totally different than the previous guide. So we didn’t know what to believe. We got on again at CN tower and they had us wait to offload other buses on to our bus which it was already getting late. Then midway to the first stop they let on just any random guy by opening the door? They must do things differently in Canada!

I love the concept and I go on the busses in almost all cities I visit. In Toronto, I was dissapointed. The tour itself feels rather short, it is such a large city and the tour covers just a very small part. I could have walked that distance in a day. On the first bus we were on we had a live audio guide, which was great. The second bus we got on we just had the pre-recorded guide which didn't provide much information. On large stretches of the tour it just played very annoying music. When we jumped on our third bus we were told it would depart in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later the bus was still not departed. The crew told first that there was something wrong with the bus. Later, they blamed the still standing on a traffic accident further up the road and that if departing now, we would just be stuck in traffic. We had planned to go uptown to eat and got tired of waiting so we started walking up the road instead, without seeing any traffic jams.

5 stars for the tour & services but 4 just bc of a bad experience with one of the tour guides. I hopped on & off the buses a few times. Monika & Mansi were good but a young lad from Kenya (I think his name was Mann or Monn) was very sassy & unprofessional. People are here to enjoy themselves on the tour & see the city, not your sass! He was being mean to me & I felt disrespected & least enjoyed that part of my tour. He was also telling the wrong facts that dint match with the other tour guides. Other than that, the tour feels really good & people on board were very efficient at their job (apart from tour guides). I got to discover & explore so much & never knew that this city has so much!

Would probably have been 5 star in Summer but as a Winter visitor the busses only run every 2 hrs which made it very challenging for us to hop off and hop on. Route was good though, interesting intro to Toronto and a great way to quickly see the city.

Only 3 buses today. This is too little and does not meet the promise of “hop on and hop off whenever”. I finished the tour by other means otherwise I would not have been able to visit the museums. I wouldn't have taken it if I had known.

It was a rainy day, they have no wipers on the upper level, and the driver didn't know how to turn on the defroster, so it was impossible to see anything put the front. They only have one bus so you can't get off unless you're willing to spend 2 1/2 hours.

It's the best way to get a glimpse of Toronto's downtown. And if you buy a Niagara Falls- Toronto city tour combo, which saves you a lot more than buying tickets separately, you will not be disappointed.

If you don't start at Dundas square, you don't have a map,you don't know where pick up is. Had a horrible time trying to find the pick up location at Casa Loma . They should really consider posting the intersection where the pick up is online.

Last time it was raining so we just put on our rain ponchos and saw the city with a cert romantic angle 😍. I will recommend this to families and couples. Nice way to spend few hours. We also did the voar tour which was equally good.

I went this summer for the first time, it was great. Just remember if you ate sitting at the upper floor of the bus, make sure to bring a sweater if the weather is a little chilly. The bus stops at the Harbour Front for a boat ride to the island and than you can take the next bus to finish the tour it just have lunch or dinner and than take the the next bus. It’s an experience great for everyone of all ages.

The tour guides on the double decker buses were amazing, but the prices are way to high for the value received, especially during the winter months. We planned on using the city sightseeing tour buses for transportation around Toronto, but most things are so close that it is not needed. The first few days, buses were every 40 minutes, but after the New Year they went to every 2 HOURS!! There were literally only 3 tours a day, stops are not clearly marked on the maps provided, and bus drivers pick up from spots before the times stated by the office. The shortest time you can buy is 48 hrs, but 24 hours would be plenty. If you are visiting Toronto during the summer months, it would be well worth it as buses stop every 15 minutes. However, 2 hours is way too long, especially when you need the bus to get you back to your stop at the end of the day. The tickets should be at least half price for that amount of time.

Loved the hop on /hop off tours. Staff very knowledgeable and courteous. Would definitely do it again if in Toronto Canada.

A few issues with this tour!! I’m from Toronto and I had a friend from Germany and I thought it would be a fun wait to show him the city as I’ve done this used this tour company in Europe which was great. In Toronto I just realized it was a waste of money and not reliable. We booked for October 24th 1) we ended up walking to half the destinations because the buses were not frequent enough. Nor were we ever sure when they would come. A prefect example is we wait ten minutes at a stop and decided to start walking. Only to see the bus drive past us not two minutes later. 2) there was supposed to be a free boat ride with the tour. We asked one of the guides and he informed us that they were not running the first day, but to call and check to see if they would be running the next day as the season was done on October 31st for the boat rides. When we called to check the next day we were told that it’s already the off season and there were going to be no more boat rides at all. Which was not only disappointing but one of the main reasons we booked the tour to begin with. They also told us to come back with this tickets at anytime the boats are running to get a free boat ride. The likelihood of me holding on to the transfer to for how ever long much Less my friend is unrealistic. 3) the site charged me $35. It didn’t say it was in USD until after I got the confirmation email. I double checked after that it didn’t show at the time USD. When I actually redeemed my ticket it said $37 CAD I was actually charged over $47 CAD. So all in all this was a total waste of money. We actually used the bus a total of 3 times (see reason 1) The only saving grace was the guides seemed really nice.

Ok but not the greatest guide. Not informative compared to others

(Translated by Google) I always share my experience with the intention that it be improved. The comfortable bus, the short route for my expectations and what left me completely unsatisfied is the translation in Spanish. While the guides spoke English very sympathetically, I was only stunned by the music and in the middle some reviews of some notable places in the city. For Toronto and its cost per person they fall very short. Update service please. Thank you! Gracias !

Amazing experience going around the downtown. Tour guide was awesome and energetic. Before the tour I was expecting a boring one, but totally changed my mind. I might go another time once hope on hope off is back again.

Very friendly guide and driver. Unorganized check in for the bus I was asked 3 times for my name after i was already seated.

It was informative. I enjoyed the inforngiven to meyl by the tour guide. Only reason it's not a 5 star rating is, that it doesn't need to be a two hour tour. We had to see a lot of things twice, diue to back tracking. On their defense, there was a lot of traffic and construction along the route. Causing a lot of delays and a few detours. Fact of the matter is, two hours is too long if there is no boat part. Maybe next time we visit it'll be a bit more interesting. Handicap accessible for sure if all you got is walker. Super accommodating as far as I know.

Great tour of the city. The guides were very knowledgeable about the areas on the route. The boat tour (included with you ticket) wad also great. Well worth the money.

Has a great time on this bus trip. I lived in or near Toronto for decades and still learned a lot. When they suggest taking water with you, do it!!! Loved the included boat trip but would have liked to go further through the islands. It was a bit of a wait for the boat but the price was right. We had guests visiting from Australia and they enjoyed it too. We could not have given as comprehensive or informative a trip ourselves.

Horrible experience. The driver was driving dangerously, he was rushing customers so that he could go home and quote "drink some beers". Also, they did not take us to all the stops as per their tour listed on their website. I sent these issues to the company and they refused to do anything about it. We are so disappointed with the service. Definitely not worth the money.

So great, mostly because our tour guide knew so many interesting facts about Toronto. I don't remember his name, sorry about that. But we stayed in the bus twice because of him. Love it!!!

The whole thing sounded very exciting at first: free boat tour and a hop-on hop-off bus for the entire city. The result was unfortunately the opposite. The guides were mostly very bored by their job and have also given no additional information to the stops. whether it is worth getting off or not you have to inform yourself beforehand. The buses did not come reliably and sometimes you wait very long for the next hop on. The highlight was then: despite advertising the boat tour in the morning, it was canceled at noon because a thunderstorm was announced (which was already announced the day before for the entire day and never came - that is, the information was already available in the morning). I would not do again and I can not recommend (only if you like expensive busses)

Low Five stars. Why? It felt that they needed another bus or two as sometimes busses were full or slow to come around. That would be our only negative. The busses were the cleanest we have ever seen on tours like this. The drivers were helpful and friendly. We tend to like doing the hop on hop off tours when we are in a different city because they usually hit the highlights and give you some great information to boot. This was no different. Each bus we got on had a great tour. The drivers were nice and helpful. If you heard him mention a restaurant and wanted to get off and find it, for example, each driver was willing to give you the information as you hopped off. My most favorite place was the Market. We don't see that where we live so it was very exotic and had some great food. My husband really liked the boat tour. If you are going to try to hit up museum you might not want to do this because you will miss everything else on the tour I think. Just going around the whole tour loop is two hours. We were able to do the whole loop, walk a bit around China Town, Walk around the Market, and do the boat tour and that was about it. The boat tour was good. We had a little bit of a wait but it wasn't bad. On a busy day I imagine they have a longer wait as there is only one boat that we could see.

This was a wonderful experience. Been in Toronto for some years and i had no idea some places existed in Toronto until i went for this tour! It was very knowledgeable. The boat ride was also great.

Went on a chilly and rainy day yet it was good to be on the bus. Our first tour guide was hilarious while informative and understood the challenges of the weather. The next tour guide I think was on day one and her trainer spent most of his time on his phone. She really struggled but it didn't matter because she was facing away and reading from a notebook and most couldn't hear her even with the earbuds, however, it was still valuable as good transportation to sightseeing and the people were all very nice even with the bad weather.

The Niagara Falls Tour is not worth the money. I would suggest to book just a bus down there and not a tour. The boat tour which is the highlight of the trip is not included anyway.

Best views of the city from the top of the bus. Amazing facts of the city and unlimited hop on and offs.

went to Toronto for vacation from the US and had a very good time on the tour. there’s around 14 stops in total and the ride takes a little over an hour (depending on traffic i guess). the tour guide we had was very kind and funny and informative. they give you fresh sealed headphones for the tour if you’d like to listen to the guide. the bus we were on was very clean as well. you can buy an all day hop on/hop off pass so it’s a good way to get around the city to the major attractions. 10/10 would do again!

Had an amazing experience! Narrator is very friendly. We hopped off at all major spots. Our Entire trip was made so easy and manageable by this hop on and off bus .

Buses are NOT air conditioned and the top has no shade. We asked for a refund as soon as we realized this before trip. It was refused.(tho website says can cancel.anytime. we did the tour. Accoustics (earphones) submitted a high pitch squeal and could only hear some words. Overall was very disappointed and a waste of 65$. We got off early and walked back to hotel. We couldn't hear anything

We do a hop on-off tour in every city we go to! It's a fantastic way to see the "must sees". The staff on this tour were great - They were sooo friendly, even after the tour one spent about twenty minutes with us helping us plan the next few days that we were here which was nothing to do with their company - Super helpful! If you're going to some of the tourist attractions, museums etc ask them about it because they sell discounted tickets to some of them and if you're also going to Niagara Falls they do a deal when you buy the hop on hop off tour and their Niagara Falls Tour together.

Good informative trip. I think a round trip is 1hr 40 mins but you can hop off at any stop and just go exploring the different areas before getting back on and get dropped off at your desired location. I think the last bus is 5pm so make sure you take this into account for your return journey. On the plus side you can use the same ticket over a 24 hour period, so if you purchase it on the bus in the afternoon you can still use it the next morning. 👍

Convenient tour of Toronto. You can hop off and see the location and pop back on and continue. Knowledgeable guides and so much easier than trying to negotiate traffic by car.

Are tour guide was very knowledgeable and interacted well with the passengers. It was very nice to go around downtown Toronto while seeing the site and best of all we were allowed to get on and off where we wanted to sightsee. My only complaint is really a fault of our own. You have the tickets for 24 hours yet we didn't use them to. It's full advantage. I would suggest you get on and off at as many sites as possible so that you use the full value of the tickets.

As a Toronto resident, I was eager to show my parents the beauty of our city, and I believed the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour would be the perfect way to do so. While the tour itself offered great insights into Toronto's attractions, our experience was marred by several issues. One major downside was the numerous delays caused by ongoing construction and detours throughout the city. At our very first stop in Dundas Square, we waited for over 40 minutes for the bus to arrive, which was frustrating. In the harbourfront area, a detour disrupted our route, and at the Distillery District, we had to walk quite a distance because the bus couldn't access its designated spot. Additionally, I believe that there are some notable stops missing from the tour that are worth visiting, such as Union Station and the Royal York Hotel. It's disappointing that the bus doesn't pass by these iconic locations. In summary, while the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour provided valuable insights into Toronto's attractions, the experience was marred by construction-related delays and missed opportunities for important stops. If these issues could be addressed, it would greatly enhance the overall tour experience.

Mann was a fantastic tour guide who kept my friend and I laughing throughout the chilly weather with lots of Toronto facts and personal anecdotes. We are literally the same age as Mann's mom, but that didn't stop the 3 of us from having lively conversations about lineups, Donny Osmond, and the best places to party in Toronto, all while braving the cold weather on top of the bus!
