Pretty disappointing experience... went with my partner for our 4-year anniversary so I got us the "romance package" as a surprise... it's supposed to come with a wine bottle selection & chocolate covered strawberries... a week ahead of time, I emailed with the customer service team to select which type of wine we would want + requested rose petals in the room to make it extra special as a surprise for my partner. They assured me everything would be in the room before we arrived. But that's not what happened. When we got into our room, there were no chocolate covered strawberries + no rose petals. There was a bottle of wine... but not the kind I picked. I called down and they swapped the wine for the one we requested, but still no strawberries and still no rose petals. When I called back down again to mention we were missing the chocolate strawberries + rose petals, I was assured they were sending them up. Instead, they sent up a "dessert platter" that was a small caramel tart, 2 cookies and 2 strawberries (and no rose petals)... I understand sometimes substitutions are a possibility but to have to keep calling down for what should have been there in the first place was not how I was picturing our anniversary. The next morning, we got our "breakfast" delivered to the room but the cereal was inedible (very stale). For the price I paid, I'm beyond disappointed and don't recommend this hotel. It's too bad because we were really looking forward to it.

I had a truly disappointing experience at this hotel due to their complete lack of competence when it came to fire alarms and ensuring guest safety. The fire alarm situation was chaotic and poorly handled, leaving guests confused and anxious. Furthermore, their negligence in addressing the mice incident at the bar lounge area was inexcusable. Instead of immediately closing the bar when guests witnessed mice running across the floor, they allowed an unpleasant and unsanitary environment to persist. It's clear that the hotel management needs significant improvement in their operational and safety protocols. On a positive note, the location was great, but that's the only redeeming aspect of my stay.

Second time staying there this year. Amazing location, clean rooms, looks modern. The staff here are super nice and friendly. Even the doormen are so nice and warm. Because of my luggage restrictions, this hotel has provided toothpaste and other toiletries I can’t bring. The beside has controls for all the lights, cleaning request, privacy button etc. it is so nice and convenient. Best part is the luggage holding room. Because I travel for work, they are able to hold my bag when I check out of my hotel too. Definitely hotel of choice.

Great hotel! Super clean and upscale and the concierge and staff are simply amazing! They truly went out of there way to accommodate us during our stay, really made it feel like being at home. The service alone will have me coming back. Located in the heart of downtown. Offers proximity to many restaurants in the area. Rooms are spacious and big. Central air conditioning is a plus. Shampoo is top of the line and beds are very comfy. Highly recommend to any visitors who want a comfortable stay.

5 stars across the board. This was my first time in the brand and it lived up to expectations. Wasn't there for a game, but if you were it's right next to Scotiabank arena and union station so super convenient. Concierge was extremely helpful finding me a karaoke bar nearby that was a great time.

Location. Location. Location. If you’re looking for a hotel with a great location you will not be disappointed. The room itself, however, was less than impressive. We checked in and had lukewarm showers. The toilet was wobbly. The remote control did not work. While the batteries were changed in the remote, nothing else could be repaired on a Friday afternoon. Upon returning to hotel in the late evening, a note left in the room said to call downstairs (what if I did not see the note?). I called and they said perhaps (nothing official was proposed as a solution) we could change rooms but given the time, I asked if we could discuss it the following morning. They sent someone up the room who informed me that the water is hotter if I refrained from using the rainfall shower (isn’t that an advertised feature?). There was no tub in the room. We used the regular shower head and the water was warm at best but the shower head did not sit properly on the wall and subsequently soaked the floor. We got up in the morning and had breakfast in the dining hall, it was quite delicious. We left the hotel at 9:45 and never heard from the main desk. I was not going to use my entire vacation trying to make their errors right, nor would I beg them to make it right! The next day when we checked out, I tried to follow up but 10 days later…still no reply.

Views from our room was probably one of the best (room 531) ? The CN tower lined up perfectly in between the buildings. Was our first time in Toronto and it did not disappoint. Included espresso via the Nespresso machine was a very nice touch . The room itself was very modern and was very upscale. Luckily I had a group rate with a wedding party so our rate was significantly less than the standard ! Regardless, this hotel didn’t disappoint and definitely recommend !

We stayed at this location for business and pleasure. Very centralized location. Modern, clean and spacious conference suite. We would have appreciated a cold fridge, though presume it was left open to conserve energy when the room was not in use. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would recommend this location to others.

This was the first post lockdown stay at a hotel. The staff made us feel comfortable and safe at all times while we were there. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfy. It does get a bit loud at night (street noise) but that has nothing to do with the hotel, just something to keep in mind if you are looking for a super quiet hotel. We will most definitely stay again

Had the most amazing birthday there! Stayed in one of the suites room 713. It was an amazing room. The attention to detail and all of the products they have are top quality. Service was excellent. Location is so convenient. Longos and LCBO just downstairs and Union Station right across. Can't wait to stay there again.

The Le Germain near maple leaf gardens was a great experience of a true 5 star hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. Our room, 2 queen beds, was large and spacious. When you first enter the room, there is an open coat room and a door leading to the bathroom that runs the length of the room. The two queen beds were against a build in headboard and bedside tables. Along the end of the room we had a window that “looked” at the roof Soctiabank arena, another wing of the hotel, and an office building. The window came with blackout curtains which were nice since the office building doesn’t turn their lights off at night. Under the window, the width of the room, was a built in desk and mini bar. Additional furniture was a low crescent chair. The washroom, which was the same length as the bedroom, was very open and luxurious. My only concerns with it were the shower. There was a window from the shower into the bedroom, thankfully there were some slate blinds your could use to cover it, but still was a weird choice. The shower was a novelty waterfall shower head with a separate handheld one. Unfortunately the shower was very small, and the architect didn’t include a lip to catch watch coming out of the shower, so we had to use towel to keep the water contained so the whole bathroom didn’t become a slippery mess. Otherwise, the hotel was in a great location and provided complementary water and apples by the elevators every morning.

I have to say thank you! What a great experience we were provided. From Check-in until our extended check out time to accommodate our departure time. Every member of the staff greeted us with smiles and kindness. The convenience of location is why we chose to stay here. The top notch service and the room quality is while we will stay here again. Special thanks to Barry in Bar Le Germain. Absolutely standout service there!

Stayed 2 nights for work trip in a classic king. The room is very comfortable. The location is unbeatable, take the UP express from Pearson and Union station is right across the street. So close to everything, food and entertainment options. The service was really the best part though. I had a (minor) issue and it was addressed immediately by Ric and resolved.

Firstly, we have stayed in many 5+ star properties in Toronto. on first note, the property was clean, modern and very quiet. We stayed 2 nights for a Leafs game and a quick mini vacation. Housekeeping staff was very attentive to our every need. Restaurant breakfast staff went above and beyond. When they heard it was my son's birthday they made a card for him. This was totally unexpected and appreciated. Front desk staff were courteous and friendly and went above and beyond too. The customer service made this an unbelievable stay and we will certainly be back!!

Great location and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and amenities are generous, though we experienced a night with some event happening across the street and you can definitely hear it from the room. However, Their staff is excellent and definitely makes up for it. A great place to stay when in downtown Toronto!

We booked the Urban Retreat getaway and we loved every moment if our stay. The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom and amenities, particularly the bath salts, were luxurious and relaxing. We had a five course tasting menu at George's restaurant and marvelled at the chef's creativity. The staff was gracious and kind. The continental breakfast was the perfect amount of food after a huge meal the night before. We are already planning our next stay! Highly recommend The Ivy @ Verity and the George's restaurant

Great location. Inside the same complex as a grocery store as well as restaurant / fast casual dining. Hotel and rooms are super modern, decorated nicely and nice big windows. Rainfall shower was a highlight. Had a little trouble with the wifi, had to disconnect and reconnect on all three of my devices to get them to work initially, but after that smooth sailing. Also could not figure out how to connect my device to the Chromecast, but stay was short so didn’t ask for help. Check in and check out were super easy and reception staff was very friendly, they were also very nice in accommodating a late checkout for me when my flight was delayed. Also complimentary fresh water and apples in the hallways! Would recommend and plan to stay here again in the future for the nice modern rooms and the supermarket access.

Stayed for business July 2023. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They clearly understand the needs of business travellers. Awesome location. Ubers were quick. There is underground access to a well stocked grocer with pharmacy, wine bar, dry cleaner and Starbucks. Great if you have forgotten any items. Would definitely choose this hotel in future.

Excellent two night stay. Loved the modern room, very chic decor and the bathroom was like a spa- even though we had a standard king I asked for a room with a tub and they had it available. Staff were exceptional- anything wrong with your stay and they write it down and every staff member on rotation is aware- ie they take care of you without your constant reminders, updating every front desk member that comes on shift. This doesn't even happen at a Marriott! Special thanks to Zaynora for making us feel very welcome and taken care of. She was so kind! Some tips. Hotel is a few min walk from Ripleys Aquarium and the Tower. 15min walk to Lawrence Market north or to the waterfront south. Not a great place for restaurants around the corner...you'll have to walk or uber or metro somewhere good. Highly recommend Miku Sushi 🍣 for a dine in (10min walk), or go to the basement floor for the grocery store, which has great bread/cheese and drinks (or other prepared food). Restaurants seem to close early, limited Sunday hours and closed by 6pm Sat, so be prepared. Not the place for night life...good for a quiet stay! Parking garage entrance is right next to hotel entrance, not well marked, same parking lot as if you were going to the grocery store. Overall- very impressed with the Germain hotel and will be looking to stay with this brand for future travels in Canada.

Form over function. Room fixtures showing their age - to the point of being shabby. Weird design choices that create awkward living arrangements. Bar is uncomfortable. Gym is poorly. No loyalty program

Good experience here: excellent location, contemporary rooms with comfortable beds and thoughtful flourishes, and attentive/friendly staff. Nighttime noise can be a bugbear on lower floors facing Raptor Way, though

Really nice room, soft bed and comfortable. Hotel was very clean, staff friendly and bar nice for pre-dinner drinks. Location very central and convenient. Downside is noise because of being right downtown. Recommend it đź‘Ť

Great experience! Will definitely stay there again. Stayed there because we went to the Leafs game. Valet took care of charging our car for us and making sure it was fully charged. Longo’s grocery store was a plus in case we wanted snacks and goodies. Hotel and room looked and felt clean.

We enjoyed a great 6 night stay whilst visiting Toronto. The room was lovely and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The *only*thing to make people aware of is when there was an event at the arena we had lots of noise - but we were on the side facing it. Otherwise can't complain, staff were all very friendly!

Such a positive experience here. Came here because of a corporate discount and for the convenience of its location. First thing, they upgraded our room because there was some availability. Front desk staff and just everyone we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent and very clean and just nice in general. Everything about this visit was nice in this hotel. If I had to write a suggestion for improvement maybe a bigger smart tv but if you can figure out the chrome cast you can play anything through your phone. We will be back anytime we visit Toronto for work or pleasure. Thanks to everyone at le Germaine. The upgrade and ease of check in/booking an extra night was such a pleasant part of our trip. Thanks again.

I planned a birthday trip for my wife to see Shania Twain at Scotiabank Arena. I parked at Maple leaf Square and went to check in as I made reservations earlier. They told me that my reservation was for the Mercer ave location. I stated that I thought I booked at this location because the venue is literally connected to the hotel. I asked if he could switch the reservation to this location as the website states you can cancel up until 4pm and we still had time. He looked and said he did not have a comparable room. I said I will take whatever you have. I would have paid anything. He said I would be charged for both rooms because I can’t cancel the other reservation because I already paid in advance. Terrible customer service. We reluctantly went to the other location. There valet parking told me my truck was to tall for there location and he directed me to another hotel for parking. When I entered the lane was extremely narrow but the height was ok. My truck could not make the sharp turn without causing damage and I got wedged. There is significant damage. All of this could have been avoided with a little customer service. When you are paying premium prices you should get the service to go along with it. My suggestion is to avoid this franchise at all costs as they obviously falsely advertise there above and beyond service.

Was expecting a modern and luxurious experience but the whole place seemed very tired and dated. The room was nice and the bed comfortable, but it had a very musty smell with bumps in the carpeting. The ceiling was peeling in the shower, where one of the lights was also not working, and the hot water had little to no pressure. Cherry on top was when I noticed the small package of chocolate covered almonds was $12.

Definitely a positive experience. The front of house team is the nicest, genuinely kind people. They would do everything to to respond to our requests. The bar area is jazzy. And the in room four courses gastro was amazing. Thank you and see you soon!

We could not have been happier with our stay. The hotel has a wonderful location, close to everything, right in Maple Leaf Square. The vibe is incredible, the staff is amazing and the rooms are spacious, stylish and comfortable. The view was so lovely. 10/10 :)

Was recommended this hotel and glad I listened. We had the balcony suite (great view of Scotiabank Arena and Maple Leaf Square) and we were amazed by the spacious room, the excellent service and comfort we experienced at Le Germain. Staff is always eager to help or assist with any request or question. They made sure that our stay was beyond exceptional and made sure that any request was taken care of. My family and I can't thank the staff enough for such a wonderful weekend experience. We will definitely be staying again next time we are in Toronto.

A very nice modern hotel and super well equipped! large and beautiful rooms with a magnificent bathroom, one of the most beautiful hotel showers I have seen! the bar is top notch with delicious things to taste with an asian inspiration, great discovery !

Just wanted to share my experience with others.. I didn't actually get to stay at this particular hotel, however I was very impressed with the team that assisted me today with a very last minute request. I wanted to surprise & delight close friends of ours who were celebrating their 25th Anniversary and requested to have chocolate covered strawberries, a charcuterie plate & a bottle of wine sent up to their room (moments before they checked in). Jan Benson Aquino & his team members made this surprise possible and promptly actioned my request. I really appreciated their true willingness in making a milestone celebration that more special for our dear friends.

We stayed here for our wedding night. The location was perfect, and the room was absolutely phenomenal. Gold standard for service and comfort. The giant bathtub was a real treasure!

Beautiful rooms, clean and spacious. Courteous staff. The hotel floors are quiet and unlike some hotels, you don’t need to wait forever for an elevator. They also stock each floor with fresh apples and filtered water. Also the location is so convenient, it’s right beside a grocery store and you can walk to many attractions. The parking garage is right next door, there’s no in/out privileges unless you do valet with the hotel. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Toronto.

Amazing location downtown. Service was excellent. Rooms are very modern - having a family in there was a little closer than we're used to with frosted glass separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom! Would definitely stay here again if we can get a deal! See the pic - the TVs are big enough, but look tiny on that wall! ;)

It was a perfect location for us and beautiful room. It was directly beside the Scotiabank centre which is where we were headed, and the Union Station right across the street. Wonderful view and very modern, spacious area inside the room. The rainfall shower in our room was great, and the service/staff are friendly. TV isn't too updated but still suited are needs and had a good experience!

Amazing customer service upon check in. Very friendly, quick and had all the right information. Right beside the Scotiabank arena, and only two blocks from Roger's Ctr. Was only about a 5 minute walk from train station (google says 15 minutes, but it was a lot quicker!) Rooms are very modern. The comfiest bed. Lots of hot water, had cute toiletries for those forgotten at home :) Complimentary filtered water in the hallway landing and apples by the elevators. Those little touches were very cute!

Great location next yo Scotiabank arena. Valet parking recommended as this area gets very busy on game nights. Fun place to people watch. Lobby bar closes at 11pm. However you need to take the elevator to another floor access the washrooms. Awkward. Rooms were slightly above average and service was decent. Recommended if you are going to the game. Otherwise there are better options nearby.

Le Germain Maple Leaf Square hosted us, and many of our family members and friends for my son's wedding last month. WOW. They were so professional and responsive in the lead-up (shout out to Jennifer), and the rooms were wonderful. The staff onsite were polite and helpful (shout out to Gregory who helped us with welcome bags for guests!). Everyone was thrilled to be staying at the hotel and in that particular area of Toronto. The hotel really contributed to making our wedding weekend as wonderful as it was. Highly recommend!!

So disappointed and that doesn’t begin. Having just started to travel for work again I was so disappointed from the cold welcome to the constant speed bumps throughout the stay. I was staying with a work colleague and while paying a premium we were charged on top for a second guest? Even thought we stated that we’d be two people in the room and then again once we arrived. I was then asked twice for identification and name while staying there. Our Uber orders were held at the front and drivers were unable to leave with front desk. I could keep going but I was so disappointed with everything. Would not recommend paying for this hotel as others with similar price range have better customer service and rooms.

Came back after 5 years but definitely worth it. Super modern, clean and you can't beat the location. The front desk is amazing and very friendly. I've been to other Le Germain's locations, and they are all consistently great.

We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days and we had an excellent experience!! At check in, Bethelhem was exceptional! Our suite was phenomenal- clean, spacious and ready for my 2 month old nephew (with a baby crib). Adele, our server, when we went to eat breakfast gave us the best service we have ever received at a hotel restaurant. We were 5 people and we all raved about the outstanding service, warm and friendly staff and any request or small issue was promptly addressed. I would highly recommend this classy, chic and beautiful hotel!! I wish I could give 10 stars!!!

The only think I didn't like about my stay is that the rooms are not sound proof and I wasn't able to sleep in the night as there was so much Street noise coming in to the room. Also I had a giant Neon sign outside the window and even when I dropped the black curtains the light from the neon sign still made it through. Other than the these 2 problems it was good. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms were cleaned daily and they also have a bar downstairs which is good.

This is a hidden gem! Don’t be discouraged by the construction, just pull up and let the valet help you! This is truly a stunning boutique hotel in the most perfect downtown location! Fine dining and stellar service! Rooms are modern and moody!

I have not stayed at the hotel, but decided to try their breakfast buffet. It was very good. I've lived in Toronto most my life but just recently realized I haven't experienced what Toronto, as a world class city, has to offer. I've never even been to a Raptors game despite living steps away from their venue. So, I decided I will try differing restaurants for a start. Last week I chose the breakfast at St Germain Hotel. I think they were surprised when I said I was from outside. But they cheerfully sat me close to the buffet and welcomed me with a nice cup of coffee. For the price, it was a good spread, including small danishes, bagels and bread, both chocolate and butter croissants, some whole and sliced fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, a cheese plate, as well as some cured meat. You can also request tea and orange, cranberry, or grapefruit and I believe apple juice. The eggs were my favourite since they did not have that filler that many hotel restaurants add to their eggs. You can also request cream instead of just milk for your coffee. The atmosphere is open and woodsy. I did enjoy myself and will probably go back.

Amazing stay! They really think of everything here and the rooms are a nice layout. The bed is super comfy too. Its clean and staff are friendly and helpful. I would choose this as my go to toronto hotel moving forward. Also being fully cancellable is a nice perk too.

Absolutely stunning hotel, staff extremely nice especially Hanan, room was enormous, peculiar shower, but it was fun. Bed superbly comfortable, great buffet breakfast, only one hiccup and that was the traffic noise in the morning so make sure you ask for a quiet room. Highly recommended.

Just had a weekend stay at Le Germain. The location is great for the downtown core, very nice and comfortable room, room service was quick. Had the buffet breakfast and was well fed with good food. Will definitely consider a visit here again on our next Toronto getaway.

We with my boyfriend spent 2 nights last week at this hotel. Obviously service in the room was good but food was very bad quality. We waited for our breakfast in the room more than 40 min. For diner we went at the bar at downstairs. We made order with pasta and burger. Pasta was very over cooked and burger bun was really dry. Cocktails was good but bartender (Michel) was completely strange and rude. She was just drunk because we could see how she poured herself a shot of vodka. Because we didn’t like food and service at the bar we asked her to call manager but she was like “I’m manager so if you have some problems speak with me” Honestly I DONT RECOMMEND VISIT THIS HOTEL. Room 8/10, food 2/10, bar 1/10
