This is no longer a hotel for the general public; it is being used as (temporary- 6 months to a year) housing for homeless people in Toronto. If you are having difficulty securing shelter or you've been evicted and have nowhere else to go, please call 311 and you will be transferred to a worker who will determine which social service provider can help you fix your housing issues as efficiently as possible. There are a number of hotels around the city which, following a huge dip in tourism as a result of Covid-19, have been turned into housing for the homeless. Unlike typical shelters, these hotels offer privacy, personal showers, regular room cleaning & laundry services, 3 meals a day; you can also access a range of social and health services from harm reduction programs, medical staff on-site, to housing workers who can help you find a more permanent housing solution. Although there are still some tent encampments around the city, since the advent of the 'homeless hotel,' the problem is not nearly as widespread. With stable housing, people can finally start to address the issues that put them out on the street in the first place. Rather than an image of cops and bulldozers steamrolling through people's makeshift homes, the homeless hotel offers dignity, comfort and personal security, and provides the kind of services that can ensure people won't end up back on the streets when the year's lease is over.

I really liked my stay here. The front counter staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the room was clean, nice and big. The bed was very comfortable, so had a great night sleep. There’s a ton of restaurants around and the general location is very good. Will definitely want to stay here on my next visit.

This place is great honestly. The location is literally beside Young and Dundas Square. Perfect for walking around the city. The hotel is very modern and the rooms are great. the Decor and the paintings are great. The premier queen size room is a bit small - there isn't much to it but the hotel is a great price and the staff is great. If your not spending a lot of time in the room you won't even notice the size of the room, it is small but it isn't uncomfortably small. Overall, will book with them again very impressed.

The hotel is located in excellent area. Everything is close by and on walking distance. When I was there, heavy construction work was going on on the streets (outside the control of the hotel). Hotel rooms was bit small but overall I enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable and the house keeping was great at keep room clean. Bathroom was roomy and clean. There was mini fridge in the room but no bar. Coffee and tea packets were available. I did not try the breakfast option as there were so many other options around the hotel. The only negative point is that during my stay the place was noisy, even at night when there was no construction work. They need to provide noise isolation. TIP: Try to avoid the front facing rooms (over looking Imperial Pub) because of noise. Also ask for the top most floor room, you might get good views.

I'm totally onside with providing the homeless a form of shelter at any cost but at point are individuals held accountable for their behaviour. Since becoming a temporary shelter for the homeless during the COVID threat, the surrounding area of the Bond Place Hotel is starting to suffer. There's a school on Bond Street; within a <1 minute walk. Coinciding with the homeless move, the staff are finding drug paraphernalia, including syringes, in areas frequented by children playing on a regular basis. That is RIDICULOUS. Where's the respect?

Location, location, location!!! Steps away from the Eaton centre. Next to Dundas Square. Walking Distance to all of downtown, waterfront, CN tower, arenas, restaurants and the Aquarium. The room itself was very small, however the new trendy updated renovations make up for the size. The bathroom is fully stocked with amenities and the beds are comfortable. The heating/ cooling worked great! Old windows but they operate fine. The front desk staff were pleasant but not in a hurry to welcome new guests. The housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful! Parking was challenging as a first time customer. Parking is across the street in a parking garage which was easy once I asked the front desk staff for directions on parking. The parking lot is located under the building in this photo. Loved staying here and will be back in August.

Hello everyone! This is an important review! This location is currently being used as a homeless shelter and is providing the upmost dignity to our homeless population in need here in the Downtown core. There is a Native girl missing and she was last seen around the hotel... Please help us find her her name is Katt and she has stripe across her nose and little dot tattoos on her face as well as facial piercings The people at the bond hotel are doing amazing work here please keep supporting

Clean, mostly well kept, easy to book and a good location. Would be nice to have a better restaurant option and larger rooms, but honestly it’s not needed there. There are far more positives than negatives including a very comfy bed. I’d suggest asking for a room that’s not on the side facing the Eaton centre (my photos are of the view). It’s very very bright and obviously never gets less bright because the signs are on all night. Would definitely recommend!

stayed two nights. My room was clean and seemed recently renovated(2-3 years ago?); particularly the bathroom(1 year?)....but the hallways seem a bit worn. Room was a touch small, but normal for TO. I felt it was a wee bit expensive for the level of amenities offered. Hotel is well situated, 2 min walk from Eaton center and subway...pretty central to everywhere else. Overall, a positive stay. No issues or complaints. Staff was polite, civil and effective.

Staff are hard working. Patience with clients needs more attention. Reaching out to clients without overstepping boundaries and with a collective strategy to best cater to the needs and services available for clients

We stayed here on our wedding night and it was perfect. With a little extra wait time we were given the best room! They provided me with a place to change out of my wedding dress, a place to go while we waited (the museum literally right beside) and a bottle of wine with a note. It was the perfect end to our day. Would 100% recommend, the location and staff were fantastic!

VERY Small rooms. Wifi is not included and is $11 a day. All shampoos and soaps smell like citrus cleaning supplies. Queen bed is actually a double, which is fine considering the size of the room. Very clean and modern looking. Use the small space effectively. Helpful staff. Good value.

This is not a hotel it’s a homeless shelter now. My wife arrived with a paid booking and was met with a security guard telling her it was no longer a hotel. Left with nothing at 9:30 pm in a strange city alone . Thanks !!! ;(

Did not stay but had calls coming from this number. I have never been a client here, and was worried someone has used my information to book in. I called to address this concern and the staff who answered the phone kept trying to rush me off the phone and say they can’t help me. I simply asked if they can look into the system to see if my phone number is linked to anything, and they said “we don’t know how to do that” and also hung up. I did call back and spoke with Sharon, she was a little more kind, however at the end of it, no resolution. So, now I sit here and wonder if my information is being used.

I have stayed here since the 1980s, great location, really good breakfasts, they used to have a bar on the lower floor, that served great lunches, Roast Beef was awesome, and the specials changed daily, from a very good Shepherds Pie, to Seafood, used to have a friendly lady that ran the gift shop and sold tour tickets, I had the pleasure to meet the owner of the Hotel, a Mr. Jules Kaufman, in the bar and he asked me for a cigarette, Lol!!! I was surprised to learn, that we could not book there this year as it is now been converted to a shelter. Hopefully the Bond will return when we get back to normal.

DO NOT TRY TO BOOK THIS!!! As other posters have mentioned, this is NOT A HOTEL. It is currently being used as a shelter! Why it’s still listed on hotels.com as a hotel is beyond me. Very frustrating to show up after a long day of traveling only to find out it has been repurposed!!!

Excellent location. Room was very clean and comfortable. The glass door to the bathroom was noisy and did not provide much privacy (which is not a problem as long as you are comfortable with people you are sharing your room with). The hot/cold tap for the sink was reversed. It was somewhat loud being next to Dundas Street. There was a fridge and lots of storage for clothes. Other than very very minor issues, the room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and staff were very helpful.

This hotel is a operating as harm reduction shelter with pets allowed and services available. Unfortunately, some staff are overwhelmed and not very helpful. Our cat was lost in the hotel after being left in the room unattended. SHARON IS AMAZING!!! If you should ever need assistance and aren’t getting anywhere, talk to Sharon. So much thanks for finding our family pet so we could bring him home. He’s happy!:) I’m very disappointed that this was not resolved sooner but ever grateful for not giving up and to the people who cared enough to help find him. Blessings ✨

Very nice facilities and staff also the pricing seems very fair for the location. The building is secure once you head to your room as there is a key card required to get past the main level. I have only rated it 4 stars instead of 5 as it took them over a month to reimburse my security deposit. In regards to this if i had not noticed I would have been out the money in general when normally they just put a hold on a card they full out withdrew it from my account then couldnt put it back into that account so had to put it onto a different account. However.... great hotel very clean and comfortable.

Didn't even stay here! Wife made a reservation and we arrived only to find the hotel is a homeless shelter now (by a notice on the door) and we were told to goto another hotel down the street that would honor our stay by someone standing outside the building. Did not even get an email or phone call or anything to notify us of the change. Terrible customer service. Would never book here. On the bright side the hotel we we were transferred to seemed way nicer.

I paid $200 to stay in a room at this hotel. The room we got was more like a small bachelor apartment. The decor was outdated and all the craftsmanship looked sub par. Our shower didn’t have any body wash in the dispenser, the air conditioner smelled like mould. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. The bed didn’t have fitted sheets so the bedding would come off easily to expose the mattress underneath while you’re sleeping on it. The shower still had clumps of hair in it when we arrived. Wifi was an additional $12 on top of what we already paid! The only towels they provided was two bath towels and nothing else. As far as bare minimum goes, this hotel just scrapes by. Also when we checked out the concierge didn’t even ask us how our stay was, which I think is pretty standard at any good hotel.

It's being used as a homeless shelter system and still counting I know 308 people that have died on that property in the last yeah and a half it's been it's wrong on so many levels. No one should be okay with that being done to any human like themself.

I have never stayed in such a clean hotel room!!! And I’ve stayed in many, many, many hotels! Yes they are small, but it’s Toronto. It’s bigger than what you get in NYC for the most part. Everything was organized and space maximized. The bathroom was perfectly spotless and beautiful, the decor is fresh and lovely, and no carpets that never get cleaned like in most hotel rooms! There was coffee and a mini fridge in the room. The staff was very friendly. Made me sad I was only in town for 24 hours and couldn’t stay longer! Location is amazing, 5 minute walk to Eaton centre and restaurants, and close to subway/public transportation. I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel and will absolutely stay here again!!!
