Overall I’d say this is a great hotel. The room (basic room) was very comfortable and clean. It was well-appointed with everything you need. Every staff member I encountered was excellent. Their attention to a high level of service is something you just don’t see at so many hotels these days. I wanted to originally give a lower rating because of a problem that happened (actually caused by another guest, not the hotel) but management took care of it quickly.

Front desk staff is clueless, lady at the desk by elevators was rude and lacked any sense of customer service...this job isn't fit for her. Her responses were what you would get from a rude bus conductor. Someone needs to explain to her what hospitality business and customer service is all about. Our room had this constant pinging sound coming from the ceiling....couldn't get proper sleep for the three nights we were there. We have known Intercontinental Hotels to be so much better elsewhere.

Great location. Modern, sleek design. Clean room with city view and great amenities. Not too crowded or busy. It was so nice to stay here in November and all the Christmas decorations were up. So beautiful! The bed was was comfortable to sleep in but was pretty high off the ground so it was harder to get on and off the bed as a shorter person. 😆 The valet parking attendants were very nice and helpful. It is so convenient to to be able to walk mostly underground from here to Metro Convention Centre, Union Station, CN Tower and Ripley’s Aquarium.

Stayed at the Intercontinental last weekend for my anniversary. Unfortunately the majority of amenities were closed given the pandemic but it was a great experience. Staff is great - very pleasant and helpful. We especially appreciated Mihir at the front desk helping us with an upgrade for our room and he was a pleasure to deal with. Definitely will come back to the intercontinental! Clean rooms and comfortable accommodations with a great location

Although I wasn't able to get an early room as a few of my colleagues did, I did get to store my luggage while I attended my conference. Once I checked in, I was happy with the room layout and view. The shower was definitely one of the best features. With great products and amazing water pressure, the rain shower head was a great end to my busy day. The overall hotel was clean and the service was top knotch. I'd love to come back for another stay. Looking forward to coming to Toronto again!

Stayed here for my birthday and had a fantastic time. Michelle at the ambassador desk was kind enough to check us in early when we asked her about getting a card to be able to access the spa (we had a midday appointment for massages at the spa, which you can’t get to unless you have an access card for the elevators). The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was cozy, with several huge pillows. The bathroom, which had a step-in shower, was nice and modern. The toiletries included hand wash, body lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. A box in the bathroom also held useful items that people may forget/not have, including a pack of q-tips and a small sewing kit. We called down in the morning and they extended our checkout to noon with no issues. Checkout with Rochelle was a breeze, she said they would email the receipt to me and we were on our way. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in a central location (Union station is about a 5 minute walk away).

I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was clean and quiet. I very much appreciate that they gave me two bottles of water each time they came to clean, unlike other hotels that provide water only at check in or none at all. It is a small gesture that makes a huge difference in the overall experience. The employees were nice and friendly. House keeping done was fast. The pool restroom and locker rooms were always kept clean during my visit.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location and superb customer service! The pool and hot tub were open and it was nice and relaxing in the spa/pool area. The pillows were so comfortable that we actually contacted the concierge and arranged to purchase one!! Will definately be back!

Beautiful hotel and very clean. Friendly service with quick check in. Underground parking with the option for valet service. The location is prime and you can walk anywhere or take transit. The view from our room was spectacular overlooking Lake Ontario, the Rogers stadium and some parks. The pool/spa is lovely. Can’t say enough good things about this place - worth the cost

Short: great hotel- beats any other hotel I’ve stayed at in Toronto! Longer: Spacious rooms, friendly staff, spa, great gym, convenient location… what more could one ask for? Walking distance to several bars and restaurants (I would advise against going to The Loose Moose, unless you drink fast.. the servers get impatient and can be quite rude if you’re “taking up space”, Jack Astor’s around the corner is better). The spa and gym at the hotel… great gym with lots of machines, cables, dumbbells and benches. Never felt crowded!

The Intercontinental Hotel on Front Street in Toronto is an excellent choice for those looking for a convenient and comfortable stay. The location is very convenient and accessible to many of the city's top attractions, making it easy to explore all that Toronto has to offer. The rooms at the Intercontinental are spacious, well appointed, and have great lighting. The washrooms are modern, clean and well-maintained, and the hotel even provides slippers which was a nice touch. The staff were very nice and welcoming, particularly the chambermaid named Victoria who was very kind and provided great recommendations for tourist sights and suggested that I dine at the top of the CN Tower. The toiletries provided by the hotel were also of a high quality, and the valet parking service was efficient and made getting in and out of the hotel very easy. The hotel is also attached to the conference centre which is convenient for those attending events or meetings. Overall, my stay at the Intercontinental Hotel on Front Street in Toronto was fantastic. The hotel's convenient location, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff made for a great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Toronto.

First time staying at the InterContinental and would absolutely stay here again. Michelle & Fernando at the front desk were absolutely wonderful — their service was truly above and beyond! Our room was clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The building is older and may seem “dated” is some areas but that didn’t bother us. We had a street view and the sunrise through the buildings was gorgeous. This hotel has a convenient downtown location — perfect walking distance to breweries, common attractions, and restaurants.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 days and had a wonderful experience. All staff I encountered were exceptionally friendly. Room cleaning service was excellent, bed was comfortable and it had great temperature control in the room. The shampoo and conditioner provided in my room left my hair so soft and shiny like never before. My kids enjoyed the pool and I liked that it had a very shallow pool that is great for younger children/toddlers. The lounge area on the 8th floor was amazing, we loved the buffet breakfast and being able to stop for drinks and snacks throughout the day. The hotel is perfectly situated right downtown close to many popular attractions.

Beautiful hotel/room and perfect location for most our downtown needs. Most places we needed were within walking distance. I would have given 5 stars but within 20 minutes of checking in our room my Husband who is an IHG member of the hotel went down stairs to do a currency exchange when he was profiled by security questioning his presence at the hotel. Not an experience anyone should have to go through.

There's a reason why Drake says he does not stay at the intercontinental in his song Trophies. From the moment I booked my stay I immediately regretted my decision. By the time I wanted to cancel it was too late so I left it alone. They charged me $230 CAD and did not notify me that there was a 17% tax until after I got charged $270. I realized I accidentally booked the wrong date and was told the price of the room would be an extra $30 plus tax which I was fine with because this was my mistake. The room was small. The view was nice which is the only positive thing I can say about my experience. The staff were arrogant. None of the rooms include cutlery. So when I called room service they told me it is .75 cents per set which is idiotic and gave me attitude when I asked for plastic utensils for two days. After my second day at the hotel upon checkout I told myself that if I spent close to $600 for two nights that I would leave knowing I got my money's worth. I decided to take the drinks from the mini bar only to be slapped with an incidental fee of $188. I had no idea I would be charged for their garbage selection of Smirnoff. What was supposed to be $587 for two nights ended up costing me $1051 instead. I did not open the bottles but because of COVID (typical excuse) they refused to take back the items once I left the premises even though they are sealed. These people are money hungry and don't actually care about rendering good quality service. Pathetic. The experience was ghetto. Will be telling everyone about my trash experience. Note to self: listen to drake.

We were offered a swanky upgrade upon arrival but it was really what I have come to expect as a standard room. The staff were very nice and easy to deal with. The breakfast in the restaurant was a little pricey but that is to be expected in downtown Toronto. Delicious choices and an omelet station.

Spacious and modern room with a terrific view of the CN tower, Center Island and Lake Ontario. Close to everything - an easy walk or nearby subway ride to local attractions. Helpful staff as well.

Upmarket hotel in the city center within easy walking of St Lawrence Market, restaurants and entertainment. The room was fairly luxurious, with good views of the city and quick access to the hotel’s amenities and dining outlets. The vastness of the hotel made service somewhat impersonal.

Hotel was pretty nice, parking pretty good price. Only issue was the front desk couldn't figure out how to charge my Visa when the room was pre booked with the same card. Was given no explanation why they couldn't punch in the number or why their card reader wasn't work. So checking in and out was a bit of a hassle.

This location was very beautiful, however the company itself lacks compassion and empathy to assist their customers. I made a reservation with this hotel with Delta Vacations from July 1 - July 4 for my son’s birthday. We stayed one night, as the next day I realized we were going to be an hour away from Niagara Falls so I asked the front desk if I was able to cancel the reservation due to my error. I was advised I’d have to go back to Delta Vacations as it was booked with them and they did advise me that it was non refundable. No worries, I run my own small business and I have the same policy but the key difference here, is that, with that policy I will still work with my customers. As soon as we got home, July 5, I started the process to see if we could work something out. To make this long story shorter, it took from July 5 to Sept 29 to get a resolve, in which the hotel refused to offer any type of compensation… no refund (not a problem) but most importantly they kept the money and didn’t even offer me a credit voucher to use the 400 plus dollars for a future stay either back to this location or any other location. I recently traveled to Atlanta this past weekend and I refused to stay at any IHG hotel, as I will continue to do. Thank goodness Delta Vacations was compassionate and sympathetic enough to offer me that same credit to use with them in the future, so I wasn’t at a complete loss.

Stayed here over the weekend for a solo trip. For some reason the line for checking in was absolutely huge, I think there was some university event going on because there were a lot of students, but surprisingly it was cleared out very quick thanks to the front desk. The managers Zeleikha and Michael were very friendly and helpful. They even gave me an upgrade! My room was clean and had a beautiful lake view. Overall the entire staff was hospitable, I'd definitely stay here again.

Our recent stay at the Intercontinental in Toronto was truly exceptional. The service provided by the staff, especially Fernando at the front desk, was outstanding. He went above and beyond to assist us during our week-long stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to his helpful recommendations for local attractions, Fernando made our experience memorable. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. I can't thank Fernando and the entire team at Intercontinental enough for their hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel for a delightful stay in Toronto!

I spent a weekend in October upgraded to a stunning room by the manager Michael and when we got to our room my granddaughter was delighted to see a lit up tent set up as well as snacks. We had dinner at azure at this point we were joined by my mother, my granddaughter is a bit fussy and was trying to decide what to eat. Alexandra stopped by to say hello and recommended the hamburger which was a big hit for a picky eater..our waitress Amy was very attentive..she even got a chef hat from chef Matt that made her day. The pool is salt water which is great. Jill at the club lounge was very friendly and helpful. I could go on and on about the staff, they were all friendly and helpful..we will be back

I had the most amazing time, this was my first visit Canada and I felt right at home. Everything was walking distance. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and perfect view of the CN Tower. Brandon at the Concierge desk was very helpful me in finding activities to do on my stay at the hotel. He help me arrange my tour to Niagara Falls, the aquarium and the distillery district. Amazing staff I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I would definitely visit again. The location was great.

Perfect hotel for a work event. Our room had a gorgeous view and the service is impeccable. Sherine, the concierge who assisted us, was especially lovely and helpful. She booked us appointments to get our nails done and was very friendly.

Stayed for an overnight weekend getaway with my friends. It was such a pleasant stay. Michelle helped me at the desk and ensured we were equipped with the right information for the duration of the stay. Room was clean and overall services were delightful. I will definitely be coming back again!

I stayed here in October while in TO for work. The hotel and its staff are wonderful. Good location, spacious lobby, fast and easy check-in and check out. The room was clean and nicely decorated - I'd almost forgotten how enormous hotel rooms in North America are, this was big. Almost instant hot water in the shower, lots of hangers - everything a business traveler needs. For dinner and breakfast I ordered via room service and was pleasantly surprised on both occasions - it doesn't rival the breakfast fare at the Intercontinental Hong Kong (what does?) but it was as good or better than dining out nearby on quality and price.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff was very nice and attentive, especially Rahman and Josephina. They both assisted with check in and sorted out a mishap’s. Everyone was nice, the location was great and close to everything. The room we had was very cozy, clean, and modern.

For a convention center hotel I expect boilerplate nice hotel but the rooms are spacious with great lighting and really nice details. Plenty of restaurant options close by and if you don’t mind a nice walk you can get to many great local restaurants and bars on foot. Union Street station is nearby so there’s no need for taxis to/from the airport. Received exceptional front desk service from Sherine. Encountering pleasant and helpful staff is always a plus! So I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

Disappointed with the hygiene level. I stayed for three nights in August and I was honestly very disappointed with the hygiene of my room. My reservation was done through Booking.com and I requested a room on a higher level - the agent put me on the 5/f. Fine - I get that, everybody wants room on a higher level and not everyone's need can be accommodated. But I did request a quiet room away from the elevators, the room they assigned me faces the train railway. It felt like my requests were completely ignored. I'm staying for three nights only, I convinced myself. I went to use the bathroom and found a bunch of hair on the glass door of the shower area. It's extremely uncomfortable during COVID times. I showed the front desk the picture and they moved me to 17/F. I loved the room and appreciated how the front desk was trying to make it up. Soon I noticed there was a shoe print on the floor in the bathroom which I could easily wipe it out with my sleepers - If I could, why didn't the room attendant or the supervisor do it prior to the guest's checking in? Then the next evening, I accidentally lifted the toilet seat (I swear I wasn't looking for anything to make them waive my room charge) and I saw menstrual blood which was obviously left by the previous guest. I was so disgusted that I immediately wiped it out instead of taking a picture. When I checked out, I told the front desk agent what I saw and he offered to waive the room fee of the night when I saw the period blood. I appreciate how apologetic he was but honestly I won't stay at this property again. The rooms are not only dated and the level of hygiene is appalling.

Just Amazing. We stayed here a night. Had a great time. The suite was just perfect. It was well decorated. When we checked in we had bottle of wine and cheese tray waiting for us. The view from the room was also great.

The first time I used this hotel I requested a room with a high floor and a nice view, after they gave me that I came to the room to see it was not cleaned after the previous tenants… they then had to switch me to a lower floor with barely a view. As I left they told me as long as I request the room next time they’ll be sure to accommodate me. Now using the hotel for a Second time I requested the original room and now telling me it’s still not available and instead of a high floor I’m on a middle floor and had nothing at all left for me to use, also this room does not have the same amenities as the other one I requested… They say to make requests to make it easier to accommodate but then can’t do so, I’m definitely not satisfied

Located in the heart of everything. Had the fastest elevators I've ever taken. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The pool is open from 6am -10pm so it was great to go for a swim before breakfast. They stored our items after check out so we could still enjoy the day.

My husband and I booked our wedding block of rooms at the InterContinental, and stayed there for two nights in their bi-level suite. We were absolutely thrilled with the service and attention we received from Jane Smith and Courtney Fullerton from start to finish. The suite was a perfect place for my bridal party to get ready in the morning, and the spiral staircase in the suite was a perfect place for my husband and I to have our first look before getting married. Having two bathrooms was a game changer and having our bedroom on a different level felt so luxurious. The hotel staff was attentive to all guests throughout our stay and allowed a few of us to check in early. They brought up a high chair for our hair and makeup and made sure to clean the rooms at times that worked for us. I wish there was a slightly larger fridge, as for such a large room with a dining room setup it was challenging to store food and drinks for hosting in the small fridge, but all in all it was fabulous. Thank you very much for a wonderful, memorable weekend!

This is such a beautiful hotel. The service was fantastic and the interior is very modern. My room had a fantastic view of the CN Tower and was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We stayed at the Intercontinental hotel for the weekend of our wedding in July 2021. The bi-level suite was the perfect option for getting ready with the bridal party the morning of. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating and helpful; starting with Jacqueline who was our main point of contact during the booking process. We utilized the hotel lobby for some of our photos, including our first look and they turned out great! Our stay at the Intercontinental made the whole weekend of our wedding feel special and grand! Thank you so much!

This hotel is best known for its large, adjoined convention space; well worth the $$ if you are attending an event. Very clean, good security. A room key is needed to access upper floors. The rooms are fairly standard, about what is expected in any large hotel chain. The lobby and restaurant are great for mingling with other convention guests. Great location, in the heart of downtown.

We always go to Intercontinental whenever we can. We have booked two nights stay in downtown Toronto and this is a Christmas gift to ourselves. The room, junior suite, was spacious and clean. It has all the usual convenience amenities in the room, The staff were friendly and polite.Very comfortable overall. Will recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was at the hotel for a conference from Sept 15-18, which took place on the lower level of the hotel. Overall, the hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and my room was comfortable. I want to particularly thank the catering staff who looked after the conference attendees. I have a number of food allergies, and they took great care over making sure my food was safe, and that I had delicious options available to me. They went above and beyond. Special thanks to the very gracious catering manager(whose name I unfortunately missed), the wonderful pastry chef who made special treats for me, and to waiters Mark and Michael who took excellent care of me. I hope upper management acknowledges your superior service. I would be happy to stay here again anytime that I visit Toronto

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay! Beautiful view from our lovely room, friendly and personable staff and dinner and breakfast at their restaurant was delicious! When Anna found out we were getting married this weekend, she went above and beyond by upgrading us to a suite and had complimentary champagne and dessert brought up to our room when we arrived. We were thrilled! Will stay here for future trips in Toronto.

It’s difficult to come up with something that particularly stood out from my recent visit here. It was a generally very good mid-range, 3-star hotel experience. The staff was courteous and friendly, check-in was quick, baggage check was seamless in both leaving it and picking it up later, the room and bathroom were very clean, and the location is easily accessible from all modes of public transportation. Will stay again.

The building looks old but don't let that fool you, inside it really looks like a 5 star hotel. The workers are very professional, ready for anything and they come to you to ask if you need help. Breakfast is amazing, and the room was very spacious and clean. They even provide a crib if you need you. We really enjoyed the stay! In the pictures you can see the view from my room at night

Mixed Experience - Clean Rooms, But Poor Service I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the rooms were clean and the location was great, offering easy access to nearby attractions. However, I faced a significant issue with the service during my stay. The problem arose when I checked out and discovered that I was charged incorrectly for my room. I realized that I was billed twice for my accommodation because the front desk person failed to use the online virtual card I provided. As a result, I had to wait to get my money back, which was quite inconvenient. To make matters worse, when I approached the front desk to resolve the issue, all I received was a simple apology, with no offer of assistance to rectify the situation or compensate for the inconvenience caused. Overall, while the hotel's clean rooms and nice location were positives, the poor service and mishandling of billing concerns left me dissatisfied with my stay. I hope they improve their customer service to ensure a smoother experience for future guests.

We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a family vacation. This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Toronto. It is within walking distance of many attractions. The hotel is not only very clean but has a wonderful modern feel. All staff we encountered were extremely friendly. Our boys were very impressed with the room saying " this is the fanciest hotel ever", but we're less impressed that our view was of a roof top. After reading reviews we were happy to learn the pool hours were 6am to 10pm. This worked out perfectly as we would be arriving later in the day. Once we checked in our little boys quickly changed and we headed to the pool. Unfortunately when we got there we discovered it was not only closed but would be closed the entire time we were staying. This was a huge disappointment for our family, especially because no one had mentioned the pool closure upon arrival. Although our families experience was damped by the pool closure this was a lovely hotel.

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Everything was clean and spacious. I loved the bathroom amenities. The lady who checked us in was extremely nice and included a roll away bed for my son. The housekeeper Victoria was extremely nice and gave us some tips on where to visit. Walking distance to the HHOF and the arena was a bonus. The only downside was the hot tub was out of service and the pool was at capacity one time we tried to use it. Otherwise, a wonderful experience.

One of the best hotels in Toronto. Especially if you're going to an event at the event center, the hotel rooms are amazing. The beds are super comfortable. Everything's always clean and the service's hands down. One of the best experiences and I stay in a lot of hotels I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. It is my go to every time I need to go to Toronto!

Victoria at the Intercontinental Hotel did me a wonderful favour by checking that a wheelchair was available so I could enjoy the auto show to the maximum. She also had some good tips on how to maximize the benefits of my booked massage tomorrow. I've been coming to this hotel for many years. This is the first time I have experienced such caring staff. Thank you Victoria!
