Dangerous area. Avoid staying here at all costs. It is now a homeless shelter. Do not stay here, it is not safe

Great location. Parking was a breeze. Walked everywhere. The room was perfect. Very luxurious comfortable bed. Perfect makeup mirror with magnification. Pool was great as hot tub was too. The concierge was Victoria, who gave us a great little map and areas of interest and helped with wifi and answered all our questions and then some. The shower and bath and bedrooms were spotless. Will stay here again for sure.

This was a peaceful community until they brought junkies in. There were three stabbings caused by people who don’t belong to our community. We will release a statement and make sure everyone knows about this hotel. (wanna know more about upcoming events? Contact me) Edit; we will make the news!! Edit2: Covering your brand signs won’t help!

Loved the gym! My only suggestion would be to change the service hours from 5am-10pm. The staff was super polite, the breakfast buffet was delicious and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The location is also great, and there are a lot of restaurant options close by.

Nice room clean, love the ambient lighting. Staff was great the 2 ladies running the cafe/restaurant were extra amazing. Only complaint is the shower door did not seal properly and you would flood the bathroom every time you shower and had to put extra towels down by the door.

Nope, won't stay there again. Individuals begging for money and food in and out of the building. Found out it was a homeless shelter, who knew? Enjoyed a wonder stay at the Hilton. I

Absolute cesspool! Stay far far away. This hotel willfully turned into one of the worst respite sites in the city during the pandemic. I would never stay here in the future! Take this as an honest review of someone who lives within 1 block of this place

We stayed three nights and had two rooms the third night that were connecting. One was a king room which when we checked in had no towels in the room. The layout of the room was very odd and where there should have been furniture there wasn't. The bathroom was even worse - you couldn't close the bathroom door when you were on the toilet and there was a pedestal sink which is useless when you are staying in a hotel and need a spot to put all your cosmetics and tooth brushes. We had breakfast two days in the restaurant and the staff was amazing. The food on the Friday was great but on the Sunday the hot buffet was less than satisfactory. The front desk staff was quite helpful. Our kids enjoyed the pool but it was very cold! The cleanliness of the rooms could have been better as well. The bathroom and carpet especially.

We booked the hotel for our wedding night. We were very excited to visit this hotel and we booked the JUNIOR SUITE EXECUTIVE room. After checking it online we were expecting the room we booked and called prior to arriving there to make sure we can check in later at night and also told them that we are newlyweds. Upon arrival the hotel staff DAN was assuring us that we are getting the correct room. However, when we got there, it was a standard room and not at all what we paid for. When we asked for explanation he rudly told us he doesn't have any other rooms and has no authority to provide us any other room. Told us that we need to speak to the manager at 730am when his shift starts. When we asked what kinda room we got he refused to respond. Because this was NOT the room we ordered. Plus we paid for late checkout and parking. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend. Will never come back here. They simply ruined out excitement.

Location is great, easy walking access to the city centre & downtown with a lot of restaurants and bars around. Friendly and helpful staff, housekeeping did great, keeping room clean for the entire stay. Little disadvantages: not enough space to store clothes and small windows so there is not enough daylight in the room. But overall a recommended place for business or family stays.

Beautiful upgraded hotel! The location is perfect. It is walking distance from the Union Station and right downtown near a lot of restaurants and also the ferry. The renovations are outstanding. I love the robes in the room. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Excellent friendly customer service. Also I felt very safe walking around and at the hotel. I will definitely book here again! The gym and sauna are also pretty good!!!

After hearing about how this building was left after the homeless phase was done, one was skeptical of how well they did on this Reno and if this would be a successful stay. Overall they did a good job on their interior spaces and materials. The rooms were modern with nice elements however there was too much space. There was a 25sqft space next to the bed of nothing. The bathroom toilet had a 2.5’ distance from the wall (as an architect, I can cite that the toilet was installed too far from the wall and grab bar, plus the flusher was not on the open side FYI for ADA code reference). At first you feel like the room is poorly lit but make use of the tall lamp as it’s max output illuminates the room as though it were daytime.

Liked the room. Location is perfect when going for business in downtown Toronto since it has easy access to transportation and also near major corporate buildings. Very good service from the staff as well.

Radical friendly happy hotel with lots of trade with the locals I hear. I had a quiet stay reading in my clean and tidy room. I kept it neat because, you see, I'm an amateur acrobat and this is the perfect place to do my tumbles, flipping from one soft bed to the other. I don't know what the beds are made of but they feel like cotton candy inside a marshmallow.. They have insurance too, so if I were to hurt myself... which wouldn't happen because I'm a very skillful and crafty acrobat that never messes up... I would be looked after- according to the fine print of my room receipt. You see, I'm like a laser beam when I focus on tumbling and that's how I roll. Haha get it 😁. The whole place was swish. Free coffee and all the soap you can squirt into your briefcase.

I stayed here one night this past weekend. Seems as though it's been recently renovated and the room was very nice. Beds were comfy, bathroom was nice with a big light up mirror and a shower with two shower heads options! Also it's in a great location just 15min to the Rogers centre where I watched the blue Jays play. Would definitely recommend

We went on the weekend to attend the annual Santa Clause Parade and stayed overnight at the hotel. A comfortable stay at the hotel with a very prime location but unfortunately it was very noisy at the night until late wee hours. Lots of movement in the hotel and outside music. Nevertheless the service was amicable. We had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and it was a delight with the breakfast buffet where kids could eat for free and only the adult had to pay. The wonderful staff at the restaurant even gave us a box to pack our meals. Extremely courteous and generous. That surely made up for the late sleep in the night. They had the buffet open until 11am which was a very decent time. The kids relaxed in the room and then went for a swim. We got an extra hour to checkout. Which again was a great gesture. Another best part was the underground parking at the hotel which was very economical for $40 until 6pm next day. We checked in at 4pm and had parked until 3pm next day. Which was super convenient. Overall a very happy day experience.

Pros ❤️: Clean and comfortable hotel in the downtown area. Walking distance from the main sports attractions. Nice staff 👍. The room is modern with a small working desk. Cons👎: homeless near the hotel entrance. Awful smell (including cannabis). There is no water bottle in the room. Breakfast is basic considering the price. Room view overlooking an apartment building. I didn't feel much privacy 😕.

I've never been to the brand of hotel but it was very clean and elegant. Great experience there. Parking had in and out privileges which is key when you visit a different city and plan to drive around. Views were decent. Staff were very nice to deal with. I'd definitely stay there again. Rooms were spacious. Only thing i would recommend them fix was there were some USB charging ports in the room. 80% didnt work. The TV was very glitchy and you couldnt watch a whole 30 minute show without getting frustrated because it would freeze so much.

Our flight was delayed by 8 hours so we arrived at 8:30am with very little sleep. The staff at the front desk was very sympathetic, and made sure our check in was quick so we can get some rest right away. It took us less than 2 minutes to get our room keys. It was a great start right away! The room was just immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, and the room clean. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful the shower was - that was my favorite part. I've been to Toronto several times, and I can say that this hotel is my favorite. The only negative I can say is that we could hear people talking in the hallway when they walk past our room. Otherwise, our stay had been great. Location is unmatched. Close to St. Lawrence Market and the Union Station. I will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel with incredible staff. The entire experience was wonderful especially since the staff were kind and accommodating. The staff at the breakfast buffet went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.

Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. This location was perfect. It was a nice 15-minute walk from Union's UP Express from the airport, close to my conference, the sights and St. Lawrence Market was just a few blocks away. It was clean, spacious and had a classy modern vibe. From the Front Desk to Housekeeping, everyone was both professional and helpful. I arrived at Novotel before check-in and they were very pleasant in accommodating my early check-in request. When I checked out, they even asked me if I needed to store any luggage with them until later in the day.

I stayed for one night in October. Initially I was surprised by the hotel being only 8 floors, rather small in comparison to other nearby alternatives. However, the room was clean and all. Water pressure in the shower was low and the views were not great, but otherwise everything was perfect. I have to give extra credit for the gym being so marvelous. I got a proper workout done, chest, back, triceps, biceps and all. There was also a swimming pool but I did not have time to check it out.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and food was excellent. Rooms were well accommodated and almost everything looked new. The issue we had was with the AV in the conference room. Projectors and screens were not working (or staff couldn't get the working) thus we had to use one screen for 50+ people in a room 70+ feet deep. That was not ideal as those in the back could not see any of the slides for 2 days.

I went, with my wife, to run a Toronto marathon. The hotel was one of the accredited ones. Well located, great staff, comfortable and quiet room, very good breakfast. Even at the time of booking, by phone and email, it was exceptional, with Mr. Marcos Barreto.

Their USP is the prime location which is right next to Meridian Hall, St Lawrence, and the green p, only walking distance from the financial district and Union Station. The common facilities are adequate; the holiday decor is pretty. The room is spacious, comfortable, and clean with necessary amenities. I got a great rate so it is definitely a good value for the money.

The check-in and check out experiences were warm, friendly, and efficient. The room was well laid out, quiet and comfortable. And Café Nicole had delicious food and drink and hospitable staff. Even the fitness room had more than I expected. I highly recommend this hotel - close to everything and shockingly quiet in a reasonably busy environment; close to great restaurants, theatre district and St. Lawrence Market.

Hello, the hotel is very clean, good air control. The room was very dark, tiny window. It was not until I was leaving that I realized there is a column light that bounces light on ceiling. Towels are not soft, very scratchy. No skin cream provided. No Kleenex in main/bed area. The only breakfast options are $18 or $20, not wonderful for health conscious guests. Hotel desk staff are very mechanical, robotic. I would not choose this hotel again.

  • 4/5 Nashid 5 months ago on Google
Was pleasantly surprised at the value you get for your money here, and the general high-end feel of the space. The rooms are nice with no creaky floorboards, properly made and cleaned beds, complimentary water bottles (and a filling station on the same floor), and good amenities. Even small things like a premium bezelless TV and USB-C ports built into the wall are fantastic touches that make the experience seamless. Fair warning - parking is $40 a night. I wouldn’t recommend it when there’s a parking garage literally like 3 minutes away. But otherwise this was a fantastic experience for the price, location and service.

This hotel is a short walk from Union Station making it really easy to get to from the airport and then again when heading back. The staff were friendly and helpful with check-in only taking a couple of minutes. The room itself was huge, well kept with everything you'd need.

First class value for money. A pleasant, tidy and straightforward hotel in an excellent location, walkable from Union Station, Scotiabank Arena, the St. Lawrence Market and more. Amenities are great, and come at a considerably lower rate than nearby competitors. Friendly, courteous service every time.

  • 3/5 Anna B. 5 months ago on Google
The bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Only spent one night so didn’t use any amenities. Close to everything so we could just walk where we needed to go. However it’s a good thing we didn’t need to shower as my husband got into the shower and could not fit. He’s 6’2 and please see the attached photo. For the class of the hotel I would have also preferred a higher quality of toilet paper so it didn’t feel like I was using sandpaper to wipe.

  • 4/5 Michael M. 4 months ago on Google
All the staff we very nice and did a excellent job. I Loved the furniture and lighting in the room, the location was great. overall I really enjoyed my stay. I Picked up a roll of my own toilet paper but that standard protocol for practically every hotel.

  • 3/5 Vanessa M. 5 months ago on Google
Parking is clearly marked as 16$ (9pm-6am I believe) but if you are a guest at the hotel you get the privilege of paying 40$ a day??? For the time we stayed there, we ended up paying 26$. I requested an early check in on my booking and called 2 times to verify if it was going to be possible. The first time I called the night before, they said they can only attach it to the reservation the day of and I needed to call the morning of my reservation to check. I called in the morning and was told no, only in person can they check to see if it is possible. I show up and no, it is not possible, but I can go freshen up in the restaurant bathroom if I want. I asked if another room is available as I need somewhere to get ready for work right now. They offered me a double room. I had paid for a executive king, but I was desperate for a room. When I checked out, I was charged for the executive king and when I mentioned this, I was told it is the same price. When I pushed and said it wasn’t the same price when I booked, I was finally able to get 40$ back. The location was great, the fact that there is parking on-site is great, the rooms are okay (paper thin walls and can hear neighbors). The customer service needs some work.

  • 5/5 Kenyon S. 5 months ago on Google
It was our first time here and it was a fabulous one. The parking was great;$45 isn't bad. Staff were so helpful and pleasant. Room was the perfect size along with the beds. I'll be staying here again in January, hopefully if I can get a room.

  • 4/5 Veronika 7. 8 months ago on Google
Great location. Very clean hotel. Room was very modern, spacious and very clean. Bed comfortable. I didn’t like the customer service at the evening check in. (Morning check out was quick and pleasant) I called the customer service with a question from my room in the evening, they were rude. I also didn’t like they had no lotion and shower cap in the bathroom and did not provide any. They door are not sound proof so we could constantly hear people walking in the hallway and closing and opening their doors. However, the cleanliness and location was perfect.

Booked on Expedia and the description wasn't what we got but we weren't upset because the room was nicely decorated, extremely clean, and the staff were very professional and welcoming. We just made it work. We were traveling with our daughter and had a room with sitting area which we thought was a small couch that she could sleep on but was two chairs. We ended up putting them together for her but she is still little. Just for heads up if anyone else had the same idea. The pool was clean and not too cold and the location was close to union station therefore pretty much anything is accessible. Would've liked a nicer view but it really didn't affect our stay.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Toronto. Not over the top in price or attitude. The staff are so amazing and accommodating. Rooms are crisp and clean with nice modern touches. Wine and snacks for sale at reception and if you can spend a bit more spring for suite 241 with a fabulous retro/modern decor, beautiful lounge area and a bathroom to die for. Many thanks to manager Paul and especially the evening and night reception teams for their constant charm and smiles. Feel Welcome 🤗

The rooms are absolutely beautiful, beds are really comfortable and the location is ideal. I knew booking during Covid there would be some restrictions, I looked it up before. I want to mention for those who don't know : the pool & fitness center were closed which was expected. The buffet was also closed, but their restaurant was working for take out. I paid for breakfast to make things easier and to my surprise, the breakfast wasn't ready at the time we wrote to pick it up at the lobby, it was completely cold and barely cooked plus some items were missing... Second morning we didn't even want to get the hotel breakfast because of our poor experience the day before. I am kinda bummed out I payed 50 $ for that, I do NOT recommend wasting your money on the breakfast. The room was super clean except our bath math was stained with make up before our arrival... We were directly on the corner of the hotel where they were building the new hotel which made it impossible to sleep past 7am. Overall I loved the room, the location, but not the service, food & the loud construction. It would be better if they didn't book their guest on a wall sharing construction of a new hotel getting built up. They could also use some little upgrade in the bedroom (there was no glasses, complimentary water bottle or robe) which is usual when you stay at hotel. I guess during normal times it is an amazing place to stay at, but it wasn't truly enjoyable for me because of everything mentioned before, this is why I give a 3 stars rating.

Our second visit here. Overall hotel is lovely and location is great. Just felt room cleanliness could have been better, paper cup on floor under bed, bathroom door full of streaks. Staff on a whole were lovely but one bar staff member on the Saturday night (23rd Nov 2019) was quite rude to others not so much us and really just rushed us and didnt want to be there. Breakfast was ok but not alot of cereal options. As I say overall happy and would stay again but just a few little things that could be improved.

+ We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The room was modern and clean, there were lots of amenities and toiletries, and it was very quiet in our room. We didn’t hear anything from the rooms around us. The check in and checkout was very easy. Note: you can pay at the meter for cheaper parking ($33/day if you pay through the hotel but $25 if you pay at the meter) - We were disappointed that there was no room service. The fan in our bathroom didn’t work. The room was too hot. Overall, we were very satisfied! This is definitely a 4-5 star hotel. Loved the European style.

We decided to stay here for the convenient location and it wasn't overpriced compared to some hotels in the area. We arrived at around 11:30 am and asked if it was ok to park our car now as we wanted to walk around before checking in. To our surprise the room was ready and we could check in now, which was much appreciated. Our room had a king bed(comfortable), nice tv, safe, fridge and coffee maker. The room was renovated with modern touches and very clean. The shower was great and we did not have any issues with hot water or plumbing. There were no robes/slippers or conditioner, so if you need them bring them. The pool and hot tub area was nice and clean. The hotel bar/restaurant is very nice and the drinks were really good. The service was excellent from check in until check out. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Good location that is very close to Union Station downtown. The room was fine, not spectacular... beds/pillows were good. The bathroom has zero storage or flat surfaces to put your toiletries. Everything for the bathroom (towels and such) was on a table in the entrance closet, toilet is also strangely off the wall, like 14" from the wall. Big open area between the bed and chair was also a little odd. TV was good size, but they use a terrible interface with no guide. Gym was a pleasant surprise, there is decent equipment and DBs going to 70, which is impressive for a hotel. Sauna and bathroom in the gym area was nice and clean.

I stayed here for three nights while visiting Toronto and had absolutely no issues. The hotel is in a great location, very clean, and the rooms are spacious. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice, well lit and the shower is nice. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. There is a string of bars, and restaurants, conveniently located right across the street, so there was always food and entertainment available.

The hotel room was modern and comfortable but nothing special. The free wifi is a joke. It's unusable. The reception kindly gave me the password for the staff wifi and that worked fine. The reason for my low rating is due to my credit card being charged over $300 for incidentals (standard practice for hotels to put an amount on your card for incidentals) which I never used. The hotel (after calling them many times - they just don't pick up the phone) assured me that my card was not charged but my bank (and card statement) confirm that I have been charged - in fact much more than the $250 they said was the amount put on the card. The hotel emailed me a blank invoice to demonstrate there was no charge. I have no proof but I have a feeling this invoice was generated on the fly to appease me and act as some sort of proof that the hotel did not charge me. I have now had to raise a dispute with my bank so I can be credited for the amount I have been incorrectly charged for. This could all be a genuine mistake by the hotel or something going awry but I have never had this happen before and the hotel seemed convinced I had not been charged but the reality is that have. They didn't seem to want to investigate further at their end. I will add that the room cleaning staff I spoke with were very friendly and attentive.

I will be getting every person I know to rate this hotel 1 star. We had a nice time there and left a few rose pedals behind and they charged us an extra 113$ for rose pedals after we left. I called the manager and he was very rude and wouldn’t help in any way. I told him if he wasn’t going to help that I will post this review, so I did. Thanks for not helping.

Our ISSA Tradeshow ran out of rooms and added Novotel late. What a great surprise. Clean, classy and they haven’t even finished renovations. The main lobby and restaurant/bar are coming end of year. Best bartender/host/historian/local guide ever.

Super clean hotel! I stayed in the Novotel Miami a few years ago for the holidays and I love that each hotel has its own vibe catered to the city it’s located in. It’s in downtown Toronto so of course there is much to do nearby. The area is very quiet but there are many restaurants in front of the hotel and a market walking distance as well. Every restaurant we visited has amazing food and you can walk to any main attraction of Toronto by foot or the metro.

The hotels location is perfect just a short walk to Union station, and CN tower, right next to St. Lawrence market and a bunch of restaurants, shops and bars. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is as announced newly renovated, unfortunately quite poorly renovated. A bit too loud and children friendly for my taste. The staff was doing their job but nothing over the top. Very slow wifi connection. Well equipped gym.

  • 2/5 Rachel C. 9 months ago on Google
I felt the hotel wasn’t worth the money. The room had a terrible carpet/smokey smell, and they offered to switch it to another room that wasn’t much better. Also, the room I was in was at the end of the hall, so I didn’t get access to any WIFI at the hotel, which was very inconvenient. Staff couldn’t help with that. Also, the hotel did not offer any slippers, shower gowns or even body lotion, which I thought was pretty surprising for a hotel that costs 250-300 CAD a night. The location was excellent, but other than that, I would not recommend this hotel.

  • 5/5 Realtor Kris S. 8 months ago on Google
Great location, friendly staff! Loved the indoor pool on the 8th floor which was just a few steps away from our room even on the 6th floor right by the stairway that takes you directly to the pool (room 616) walk through the gym and you can take the stairs directly up to the pool without having to take the elevator) the lobby was very welcoming with lots of vintage decor to set the mood. Heads up on the incidental deposit, (for those who don’t use credit cards etc z ) on debit card it’s $500, or $75 on credit credit card

  • 1/5 Alexis M. 7 months ago on Google
I give this 4 star hotel 1 star. Although the room was great, clean and felt secure as you need to scan your room key just to go up the elevator- the doors were not sound proof. My room was right across from the ice machine, although convenient, it was annoying to be woken up through the night to hear it go off. Anyone walking by? I heard it all. For $400 a night, you don't get complementary breakfast or free parking. In fact, you pay $40 to last you from 6pm to 5am. I was traveling with a girlfriend of mine for a concert and had to wake up at 5am to go to the underground parking meter to pay $40 more to stay until 7pm even though checkout was at 12. And on TOP of that there is no cameras in the parking lot- so if anything were to happen to me- no one would have known. But hey! At least they're pet friendly.

I was in room 503 on Monday and Tuesday ( August 14,15) my friend arranged everything, we were supposed to be seeing Madonna’s concert but she had to postpone her concert in Toronto. But weren’t able to cancel our stay at your hotel because she would have lost her money so we came and enjoyed our stay with you. Our room and services were absolutely was perfect. Margaret who we have met in the hallway was perfect in every way. Polite, and and her cleaning of the room is absolutely perfect. I would recommend her as employee of the month that is if you have that going on at your hotel.

What a great stay. We are here 17-19 August and the room and staff were so nice. Karla V. took care of our room and was wonderful. The staff at Cafe Nicole in the lobby were so very helpful and kind with great service. Everything is clean and well taken care of.
