Went there for a function - no masks, no gloves, servers (except 1) were rude, 2 even tried to take my plate while I was eating, 2 tried to tell me what I was allowed to eat. The lobby has seen better days, not bright and the hallway was dirty. The ballroom/meeting room that we had function in was old but very clean. Chicken was cooked with no spices and no salt. Vegetable was extremely hard (at most blanched for 30 seconds) that most people just left them on the plates. Food was at least hot. Some white plates were very dirty. Cloth napkins were used in the drinking glasses. Some people used the glass then put the napkin back in. At the end of the evening, I saw a server fanned out the napkins (clearly some of those glasses were used) then put them together with the clean ones. Location is great. Close to hwy & bus stops. It's a shame as I remember food there was great and with good service...not anymore!

Stayed here while in town for work. When checking in they had informed me that the breakfast was from 7am - 10am. Having to be at a meeting for 7:30 I was ready and checking out in the lobby at 6:58 so I could quickly grab a bite to eat before heading out. The attendant rudely told me that breakfast was not until 7:15 after I inquired about it. You shouldn’t tell guests breakfast is at 7am then push it back. I’m not in Yorktown on vacation to go back to my room and hangout for 15 minutes while they get organized. Very unprofessional.

Personally I feel that the stay at this hotel was too expensive, especially for the service we received. The room was clean that’s the one star. However, the bedding had a hole in it, the lighting is mid and can be better, our second day, I asked for fresh sheets by calling front desk they said they will send someone to help no one ever came. I stayed with my boyfriend and our 9 month old, she had peed on the sheet so I took it off thinking fresh ones were arriving, the bed had stains on it, the pillows and bed are not comfortable. I was told breakfast started at 7am I went there the first morning breakfast didn’t begin until 8. Breakfast also isn’t much options but it’s free so that’s okay. It’s best to bring food or order all your meals while here. My biggest issue with this hotel was safety, & that’s what I really wanted to speak about. I stayed here with my family ( me my bf and our baby). One day we had left and I was at my mom for a few hours with our daughter, I had the key because I thought I would be back before my bf but he came back to the hotel before me. He called me and said that he was going to front desk to ask them for an extra key (only my name was on the hotel guest). I told him to call me so that I can give them permission to let him in (thinking that they would see that it was only my name on the room and no info of anyone else). I called back and hour later because I was worried I never heard from him. He told me that they let him in… without even calling me. All they did was ask for an ID which I’m not sure what that would be for since again his name wasn’t even anywhere on the room. He was very upset as well, because this could’ve been a stranger and the situation could’ve been very different and this would happen. The safety of this place is very poor. I wouldn’t stay here ever especially with my family.

I checked in on the 19th at 3pm. Around 3:30 or little after someone else opened the door for my room as front desk lady provided my room’s key to someone else. I called the front desk as my kids and I got so scared front desk lady said so it’s an error and hung up on me. I spoke to the morning staff about the incident and that guy didn’t respond back to my questions. Very disappointed and felt very unsafe. Didn’t sleep all night as I was so scared that someone gonna open my door again. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone at all if have safety concerns. None of the staff even didn’t bother to come and say sorry. How they provided my room’s key to some other guest. This is not safe for single or family people. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE PLEASE

I had held my pre wedding celebrations at their banquet hall in May 2023. I had made the booking almost 6 months in advance. 1 month before the event they let me know that they won't be providing plates, cups or cutlery as it's not in my package. The person I had made the booking with no longer worked at the hotel and the new management refused to accept that it was agreed before. As I was busy with wedding planning I decided to just buy the required items. A few weeks post the event I found the original document that was provided to me showing everything that was promised. I send a copy back to the hotel but they refuse to acknowledge it as its not on their letter head and was not in their documents. I later regretted not having taken everything on email. However I am absolutely disgusted by how the management dealt with the situation. I will never be using them again or recommending them for anyone in the future.

we tried to book online for one night for 4 adults in this hotel that was 135$ but when we understood that we were near the hotel, we came there. but the reception said that because of Covid19 4adults cant get one room but he can give us a room with extra charge while two of us be as guest!!and he said its a rule in Toronto and you cant find any room for 4 adults in Toronto! so we paid 188$ instead of 135$! the day after that when we asked from the manager of Hotel he said different thing that its the rule of just this Hotel !!!!!!

Located right next door to the union office. Come by to seek incredible opportunities with Luina. Hotel felt like a real home since I've been abused my entire life. Thanks for the warm bed.

The worst experience I had in a hotel, even if to compare with hostels and motels. The rooms are very dirty. Furniture is not new, all scratched and worn out. That would be still fine because of their low prices...but the rooms are very dirty, not cleaned at all. Stains on the carpets, hair on the bed...and the worst - not cleaned toilet at all...we could see someone used it before and didn't clean...the staff was rude, when we asked for a refund or clean room, but all rooms were same. So in the end we had refund after an argue. Very bad...it is bad even if it would be for free.

We booked queen studio and in the hotel photos it was so nice. When we get in the room i saw first the old couch n inverted seat because its do old. And the washroom is so moldy the bed is broken. Seems bed sheet not wash well. Worst hotel we booked. Not recommended at all.

Horrible “hotel”, probably the worst I’ve been too. Spent $200 on a room with hair in the sink and bath tub and the faucet looked like it’s never been wiped down, didn’t trust the rest of the room was cleaned properly either. Thermostat also wasn’t working so couldn’t regulate the temperature in the room. Brought this up to the front desk and he was kind of dismissive of our concerns. Ended up speaking with the general manager who made excuses stating it was throughly cleaned and checked before the room was given to us, even after showing him pictures. Breakfast wasn’t even that good, cereal and stale bagels!!! Don’t go here, not worth your money at all!!

So my only issue, is that they are charging 300$ a night, for what their offering. If the room was 110 a night. I could have lived with all the issues. But for 300$ plus tax, there shouldnt be mold in your small shower, rust holes starting, 26 inch RCA TV with broken remotes leaking battery acid. Only 2 plugs in the bedroom and there inaccessible. Pipes rattle creak and bang anytime someone flushes or showers. No noise barrier between the hallway and other rooms. The hotel seems very old and dated. And for 75$ a night I'd have no issues. But there was no other rooms available and we got horrible service compared to what the Marriott would have given us for 200 a night.

Construction around hotel would not allow us to turn right off Shepherd Ave. Had to go way out of our way to come down the street hotel is on. Called hotel to get directions from where we were & was told that he commutes so doesn’t know the area! Drove around three times before finally finding hotel that is just a black building….can’t see sign from street just turned in out of frustration & found it. No automatic door so struggle to get in with bags. No restaurant & very few places for food in area (industrial area). No glasses in room, no frig, no plug for tub. Room itself was ok but tub tiles not clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast that was included was cereal, toast & coffee. Tiny muffins. If you wanted eggs you had to pay $5.00. Close to Sunnybrook Hospital but will not stay again. What you get for $214.00 a night is minimal at best.

Had a large group with many rooms. All the rooms had shredded couches with upside-down cushions. The basics in the rooms were hit and miss on which ones had even a coffee maker. Many of the lower floored rooms had leaks from the rooms above. Some rooms smelled moldy. One didn't even have a smoke detector. Elevator buttons point sideways. Room started with a partial set of towels, and housekeeping replaced them with even less and not even a washcloth in the mix. Building and service are a mess. Oh, and remember to keep up with your KEY because this hotel is old enough to not use cards, so there's a nice fine if you loose it.

Have never been to this hotel before. We chose it for location for an appointment at one of the hospitals downtown. Hotel entrance is very dark. Didn't feel safe. Hotel is very tired. Needs to be renovated. We checked in after 9 pm and the front desk gal was fantastic! Very friendly and efficient.

We stayed there for one night and the service was horrible. We paid for breakfast and when we went to get breakfast they told us that we had to pay again. The servers were so rude and disrespectful. Also we wanted to get water they said we had to pay $5 cash to get one bottle of water, where in stores they don’t charge that much. The rooms were dirty not cleaned. If I come back I would make sure that I don’t book with them from how horrible they are. They are not organized at all.

I dislike to leave less than stellar reviews however, this hotel has gone downhill which is unfortunate as the location has always been very convenient for my family and I when attending events in the City. Cleanliness is non-existent now. The carpets were not vacuumed, stains on the walls, countertops and windowsill’s. My six year old nephew found an unlit cigarette in the bathroom. We do not smoke and this hotel is suppose to be non-smoking. Our AC didn’t work. It was a chunk of ice. The smoke detectors expired in 2021 which will be reported to Toronto Fire. It is apparent cleanliness and room inspections do not happen here. This use to be a lovely hotel. Did I say anything? No because we were here literally for one night, just to sleep. After a long drive, I didn’t want be “Karen” with the front desk. We just won’t be staying here again.

The hotel room it was freezing, took me an hour to bring the temperature up. The paint on the walls was coming off. When I woke up in the middle of the night and turn on the light of the washroom, I saw silverfish running around. All to say, my stay was not a pleasant one.

The staff is very accommodating. My room was missing some details: no hand towels or washcloth, desk chair had loose legs (and no, I'm not that heavy--62 kg). Located in a pretty much industrial area, so not many restaurant choices. About 5 minutes walk from a metro station. About 20 minutes walk to a very good grocery store (Vito's No Frills) and a Tim Hortons.

My rating is based on customer service; my experience is as follows. My party and i checked in and went to our room. We noticed we had booked the wrong room and went to the desk to ask for a room with 2 beds instead of one. The person at the desk said i cant change it because you booked on (which was not true because i had book it in person a few days before). I insisted i need a 2 beds room. He looked at me and the lady that was with me and said "You are a couple why do you need to beds?" I was shocked at that. Eventually after a few exchanges he agreed to give us a room. We asked for an extra blanket he said he would bring it, but it never came. The heaters in the room was not very effective. We had it on high the entire night and the moat i got up to was 21 degrees Celsius.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This web site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't regret it. We had a very nice afternoon. Staff was very nice , food was very very good . Could not have been better . Super clean and nice place to have an event

The room was DIRTY, pillows smelled like SWEAT and strong perfume, used bar soap in the bathroom floor. When we complained, RONA the front desk gave us a pillowcase so we can change it OURSELVES!. She even said that she KNOWS who cleaned it so it’s impossible. We had to argue I have to bring out the pillow in the lobby just to prove it to her. It’s ridiculous. The maintenance guy said only “black” people use this perfume. Like seriously dude you can’t say that!!!! So disrespectful and inconsiderate.

Held our annual Christmas party at the Monte this year. Big enough space, but dated. Insufficient parking space as well. Road work in the area makes it a pain to drive to, though that is hardly the hotels fault.

Basic room, clean and comfortable but really just a place to stay. Convenient location near the subway and 401. Convenient parking Friendly & helpful staff. Other reviews talked about the breakfast - it is your basic Continental breakfast with bready stuff, pastries, coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt etc. Not luxury, just the basics done well.

Good Hotel. Clean, staff were good, and the location is close to the TTC subway. Only complaint was the room slightly noisy (thin walls?) but other than that an excellent stay.

I was there as a presenter in one of their conference rooms. Compared to some places, it is appears much like a budget-friendly facility. Unfortunately the food offerings were outside of my diet, but the staff were very quick to find someone knowledgeable enough to answer my questions.

The reservation was so Lier person and manager wasn’t being responsible, and their behavior was so bad and the told me 4 adults can’t stay at the same room because of charge me and force me get 2 rooms and the told me include breakfast while they charge me for every thing and the breakfast was so awful all the hall has so smelly, and the room and bathroom was so Messi. if you ask me, I will told you that stay at your car instead of sleep at this sheet hotel, don’t go there never. that was the worst experience

I don’t get the bad reviews I looked for all of the things described and couldn’t find the flaws really. It is a little hard to find but the parking was fine we certainly did not feel unsafe at all there was a lot of families staying there as well but it was not over crowded and lots of parking . The front desk girl was amazing and the caretakers were kind and very thorough I was watching them in halls and rooms . We had two rooms one queen suite which was new and clean, spotless no smell , lovely . The double studio had a table lamps lights new bathroom spacious closet iron board cupboards fridge counter and couch , microwave . Both rooms had coffee and dryers and toiletries . Lamps were older style but who cares , we missed breakfast ended at ten but looks like everyone was enjoying it all and we grabbed our coffee and ran . Check out was twelve , rooms were budget friendly coming in at under 500 total for both rooms since parking was free . No pool but clean facility , tv , wifi all the things you would expect . Pillows and mattresses were great , duvets clean and new . This is not an upscale hotel but not the slummy place others have said at all. I looked everywhere and couldn’t see that except like I said the exterior but again who cares . This is one we would visit again . I’ve stayed at hotels double even triple the cost that didn’t even have proper shower water pressure . After staying in dozens of hotels in the gta and many all Over North America I rate it in my top ten over all for budget , cleanliness and customer service . Set your gps as the construction makes a direct turn into their road not possible in one direction.

Their buffet breakfast is worst of a kind. Not even egg included in it. Rooms were fine, spacious. Very convenient location as subways and ttc are nearby. Service was not up to the mark. The front desk person was rude and unwelcoming.

The rooms are nothing special. The surrounding area is ugly. BUT the real reason to stay here is that parking is free and it's a 5 minute walk to the subway. Getting downtown from here is really easy.

The worst possible hotel you can book in Toronto. Don’t get excited about their free breakfast. We just went there to get our breakfast in the second day and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! Just one person was serving people with the worst menu I have ever seen in a hotel in my entire life. She wanted to charge 5 dollars for an egg! NEVER waste your time and money in this horrible place!

We booked via Hotwire. This was the cheapest location in North York at the time. We choose this location based on price and that they offered a free continental breakfast. Upon arrival we checked in with an amazing customer service rep, she was very nice, polite and professional. The lobby is absolutely stunning with marble floors. We received our Key (yes an actual key) we headed up to our 4th floor room. We were given a room with 2 double bed. Not really the cuddling romantic setting I thought me and my husband would have but we made due and where a little excited to have a bed to ourselves. The room is very dated but still manageable. The beds weren't bad. The TV is tiny like 32 inch, compared to any other places we have stayed in our years of travel. It had cable TV which was just fine. Bewakfast is served from 7 to 10am we got there around 715am and they had a sign stating due to covid they would serve you. If you wanted a warm breakfast it's 5.00. You must eat in your room due to covid also. The ladies serving breakfast where very slow, we could not see what the continental breakfast included as they had it in the kitchen area and we where not preevy to see that. After waiting 10 mins and seeing the interactions with the 2 other guest (lack of English skills with kitchen staff, poor service) we decided to go down the street to sunset grill for a seat down hot breakfast ( fantastic!) The time we have to leave by is 12 pm which is great gave us ample amount of time to do something in the morning or to relax before leaving. Overall if your looking for somewhere cheap to rest your head this is a good place. If your looking for something a little more updated with better amenities I would consider somewhere else. I personally didn't regret staying but qill think twice about ever staying here again, when you spend over 100.00 you expect a little more.

Lack of worker or staff to clean the room every morning. On Saturday and Sunday they have no workers or cleaners of the room. That if you happened to check out with the garbage bins full because of their lapses, the Female manager will revert the situation accusing you having left the room uncleaned and they will charge 200 cad as penalty. DO NOT BOOK ON THIS KIND OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT EVEN TISSUES THAT ARE PICK ABLE WILL BE CHARGED AN EQUIVALENT MONEY.THEY ARE GREEDY OF MONEY -BUSSNESS MINDED THAT IS UNFAIR

I don't leave reviews often, but I am very disappointed with our experience and am posting this as a warning. I discovered my bedsheets had long hair in them despite I being short haired. The included breakfast is cereal, toast, bagels, frozen waffles, and coffee or tea, and eggs and others must be requested and cost at least $5. The room smelt like mold and the AC was loud. There is no mini-fridge or safe within the bedroom. The one benefit is proximity to the Yonge and Sheppard area. Do not stay here if you can help it as there are better, similarly priced places in the area.
