Super cute coffee shop and a great place to study. From the aesthetics to the atmosphere to the friendly staff, this is one of my favourite coffee shops downtown by far. They keep the washrooms relatively clean however I just wish they’d wipe down and sanitize the tables after someone left. They also have a great selection of goods at the front of the store! Highly recommend checking this place out!

I came in today to support this business after they had their window smashed in by a vandal, but I found myself immediately uncomfortable when one of the owners was loudly berating, swearing at, and humiliating one of their employees. Not cool. The cafe was filled with people and it was unbelievably unprofessional. There is a saying, “take it in the back” for when you’re having workplace conflicts as a way to not disrupt and disturb the environment of the business for the customers, but that clearly isn’t being upheld here. I paid over 9 dollars, with tip, for a latte that was…alright. There certainly wasn’t anything that stood out to make me think, “Wow, this expensive latte was worth the price.” At this point, it’s hard to tell if it was the latte or just a bad taste from witnessing the owners unprofessional behaviour. I would be open to returning to Page One Cafe and updating my review if the owners acknowledge this with an apology for the negative experience they created, as well as assuring that communication amongst their staff will be done with professionalism and dignity moving forward. Also, I found it ironic that the typewriter by the waiting area has a piece of paper that says, “Your morning coffee contains your daily dose of people skills” because mine certainly did not. 1 star for the alright latte and 1 star for the employee who got yelled at and kept his cool.

EDIT: no, the reason you have so many reviews is because there is no local coffee place for blocks around yours and you're also in a huge tourist area. ALSO: BLAMING ME FOR STILL GIVING ME THE WRONG ORDER IS RIDICULOUS. I DID NOT GET THE WRONG COFFEE AND SCONE BEC MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED. I WOULD CARE LESS IF THE SAME THING DIDN'T HAPPEN BEFORE. STOP BLAMING THE PEOPLE KEEPING YOUR "SMALL IMPACTED BUSINESS" ALIVE, when these were both simple errors, mistakes by baristas, who have not been trained by ownership on what a cappuccino vs a latte is. It was a simple mistake and the fact you have to go into a COVID manifesto..stop victimizing yourself, it's your job to know how to operate a coffee shop. Again, according to you, it's my loss right! Happy to have lost. I have no idea how this place has good reviews. I've been there twice. Both times ordered in advance and neither time was my order ready by the time I got there because neither time were they able to actually fill my order. On my second order, I ordered a cappuccino and a pbj toast. They did not have bread or pbj, lol ok breakfast place with no bread! I asked for a savory scone instead and in the end I got a latte and a blueberry scone. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, I'll never go there again lol 🤣

It is a charming place you can just seat, chat, or chill! 🤎 One sip of their Americano can give you the full warmth! I love how they have some board games available. This place is definitely becoming my favorite :)

A spacious place with lots of tables. It can accommodate more people at the same time. It is a big advantage. It has also a separate section if you want for almost 10 people. They also serve pizza and beer if you would like. We had Chai Latte and regular Latte with a slice of banana cake. Both coffee were good but the cake was not fresh for me.

The coffee here is not great, but it’s a nice place to study - lots of outlets and seating. I’d definitely come here more for the environment than for the coffee or pastries.

Okay. We ordered a flat white and cappuccino and the milk foam wasn’t done too well-milk was over frothed and just warm. Inside had plenty of seating which is great for students especially considering the area.

I love visiting non-franchise cafes and getting lattes, and this cafe also hit the spot after I had a good meal from elsewhere. I went few days ago and the staff who seemed like an owner was friendly. Maybe the staff was tired and I went later in the day but I slightly felt not welcomed. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. There are a LOT of students studying with laptop, almost one person per table. Made sense because it is within previously Ryerson or TMU campus. I ordered takeout, just walked deeper inside to check out the vibe and went out. Latte was delicious though. I paid about Starbucks latte price so it was alright.

My absolute favourite cafe. The interior is absolutely perfect for whipping out your laptop and getting work done. They have plenty of outlets near tables to plug your devices into. The coffee itself is fantastic. My go-to is a cappuccino with almond-milk. Their croissants are great too. I prefer the regular butter croissant to the almond ones as they are less sweet, but the almond croissants are just as good. Highly recommend giving this place a go if you happen to stroll by or are in the area! pros: - great coffee - great atmosphere - amazing croissants - such a great aesthetic/ambiance inside cons: - price, but this is normal nowadays overall rating: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A cute spot for studying or having a coffee and quick bite. It can get crowded with students around exam time so be mindful of that if you're looking for a more relaxing atmosphere. They were not asking for vaccination proof (at least on the day we went), so dine in at your own risk. They have a variety of vegan and non-vegan baked goods. We tried the Baileys Latte and sea salt chocolate chip cookie, and both were amazing and worth the price. I wish the tables were cleared between customers - some people were considerate enough to clean up after themselves, while others didn't bother returning their empty cups.

I adore Page One. Orange umbrellas tell me when they are open as I look down from the 40th floor of my condo. Sure their coffee is fab but I usually head here for a relaxing outdoor sip of wine on the outdoor patio. Friendly people. Delightful atmosphere. Treats to eat.

Very nice place to study and do work with outlets scattered throughout the shop. I bought a small iced coffee for ~$5 and the spicy ham and honey pizza for ~$12. Food and drink came out very fast and I'm honestly impressed with the quality! Who knew honey on pizza was such a gamechanger... Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

This used to be my most favourite coffee shop for years, I literally live 2 min away. The service was always incredible throughout the years, how ever recently things started going downhill, all the baked pastries are never fresh at least 3 times I’ve got an almond croissant on the way to work that tasted more like a car tier rather then croissant. Also the appearance of the place doesn’t look well maintained as it used to be before. Hopefully things will improve again.

I was spending new year eve in Toronto when my best friend took me to this place and it was just WOW! The coffee is perfect and the ambiance is unique. 5 of my 7 days were spent there trying to have a sip of everything. Nutella late and avocado toast with smoked salmon are a must have. Great service.

Was in the area and decided to check out this coffee shop as it’s been recommended to me. I ordered a mocha which was good but not the best. There is ample seating and appears to be catered towards students studying, which isn’t a bad thing. I personally would not revisit as the coffee wasn’t anything special. P.S The take out coffee cups are quite unique!

Great coffee and awesome service! Page One is a hidden gem situated close to the University. When I come here, I would reminisce the time when I was a student and getting coffee here before my class. My favorite go-to option is the regular Latte, Nutella Latte or Matcha Latte. Also, the ambience is really nice for studying, reading, or just to relax.

Page One Cafe is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is awesome, creating a cozy and friendly vibe. It's in a perfect location in the heart of Toronto, making it super easy to find. The best part? The staff is incredibly friendly! They welcome you with big smiles and make sure you have a great time. I can't recommend this place enough! Five stars!

This place is the only place that knows how to do a London Fog RIGHT! It's my girlfriend & I's favourite spot to wind down and cuddle up together. The interior is a vibe! 5 star rating all the way!!! Everyone is super nice too 😊

Best cafe to study at in my opinion. There’s a lot of cafes in Toronto, but this place has the best balance of EVERYTHING for a student. I accidentally stayed past the closing time and they didn’t tell me till later and I felt bad 😭 but thank you for being so kind about it and letting me linger a bit! If you want to study somewhere comfortable, with good food and drinks, go here! It doesn’t get TOO busy because it’s not on a Main Street or anything, but this is the first place that comes out of my mouth when people ask for study spots!

They make the best coffee. The latte is not watery. Also, this place has a calm atmosphere since most people study here. That’s why I love this place, and I keep visiting after my first experience here. I recommend flat white for those who love a strong coffee.

A beautiful cafe just a 3 minute walk from the SLC at TMU. The aesthetics of the shop alone are enough to keep me here forever, the attention to detail is elegant and revered for those that can appreciate a writer's taste (old-fashioned typewriters and cute notes all around). The food and drink are well curated, and has it's own flavour. I'd recommend the London Fog Tea paired with the Avocado Toast (i've never had avocado like this, honestly). Best part about it is that it has an alcohol menu with many options as well as ample space to come out with friends after a long day. There's also a shelf of boardgames if you're feeling particularly competitive! I can't say enough about it, this cafe is truly one of those Toronto gems that you don't want to miss experiencing.

Favourite coffee shop in the city. The staff is super nice, and i'm here basically every day for the avocado toast. It's so good. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT. Pairs really well with an Espresso Tonic too. So refreshing.

I liked their coffee here. Chai Latte was my favorite with its ginger taste. Banana bread didn't seem very fresh to me. Other than that, I liked its atmosphere and hospitable staff.

Page One is the ultimate spot to unwind or to work your fingers to the bone. Amazing ambience, great chilled music and don’t get me started on the FOOD. Their sandwiches and pizzas are to die for. The staff are extremely nice and so accommodating, they’re so kind enough to check in on you to make sure you’re doing okay. Very clean and well maintained spot. I’m always recommending this cafe to my friends and there’s never any regrets. I 100% approve and recommend.

Literally the BEST cafe in downtown Toronto. Everything about this place is incredible from the aesthetic, warm environment, and the warm welcome you receive from the staff makes it an enjoyable experience. I have yet to try their food but their carrot cake is scrumptious and they have one of the best chai lattes. Definitely an amazing place to get work done especially when the community is welcoming and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Favourite coffee shop in the city! Friendly staff, great coffee and AMAZING pizza. Love that it’s tucked away from the craziness of the city, but still central. The nitro cold brew is the best I’ve had yet!

Such a great cafe - their coffee is one of the best in the city, even my friends commented on it, how delicious it was! The atmosphere is very cozy! And the typewriters, antique telephones, the vintage aesthetic - everything around gives you inspiration to being productive on your laptop ;)

I've been coming to Page One often and it's a great place for me to get work done or come with friends to hangout. With board games provided and a great community table it's always a fun time with friends. I enjoy grabbing an iced latte and getting work done here (the back couches are quite comfy) and the staff are really war and friendly!! Would definitely recommend trying their Iced Tea drinks if you haven't yet.

Very nice atmosphere inside and out. Dog friendly in the patio (didn't attempt to take my dog inside). The staff hands you dog treats to give to your dog. Nice staff, including one of the owners. Nutella latte was delicious!

This is my absolute favorite cafe in Toronto! The food and coffee is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with what I get! The ambiance is also very chill and cool, servers and baristas are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return to it everyday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to work and relax!

Not impressed at All. I was told my wine was 8oz , but was maybe 4! Then food came and the plate was dirty. Rude bartender/ sandwich maker.

It can be very crowded with students who come to study during midterms/finals week. If you’re a student in this area, it might be a good place to hang, but I was with my family so it was quite awkward to be there. Coffee was fine.

No latte art….it’s disappointing for me. I ordered flat white with soy milk. The taste was okay. I would say a perfect cafe for you who wants to study or work done at cafes!

In my opinion this is the best coffee house & Bar for the following reasons: 1- Good quality of coffee and menu choices 2- Staff are friendly & professional 3- Size is great so you will always find seats 4- Ambiance, interior design & decor, music playlist will put you in the mood for work & productivity. I would recommend if they can extend the opening hours (until 10pm).

The decorations are really cute, lots of seating and outlets which was nice, but the sandwiches weren’t good at all. Smoothie was okay but the coffee was great! The almond croissant however - PHENOMENAL!!

drinks were ok but avoid getting the chai latte, not very flavorful. everytime i try coming here, it's usually full so keep that in mind. otherwise, the back couch area is a great spot to chill!
