Service needs improvement. We booked for table of 5 and confirmed many times yet our table was registered for 4 for some reason. Had to keep asking the server to add one more place. Guests came at different times and server wanted to wait until everyone came before we ordered our drinks. I wanted my drink immediately but had to wait.. same with my friend who repeatedly asked for more drinks throughout the night and server kept forgetting so that was very disappointing. The food took forever to come. The manager finally came to our table to explain that they overcooked the steak so they’re redoing it and we had to wait longer before they could serve the entire table. Everyone was very hangry at that point after waiting over an hour for food. They could’ve offered us a snack while they asked us to wait even longer but they didn’t. Server rarely checked up on us too. We ended up paying through the app ourselves and we left. The server caught us looking for the washroom and finally asked if we paid. Needlessly to say - we did his job for him and suffered through the night from his and his colleagues’ poor service. Food tasted mediocre. Nothing special and nothing terrible. Atmosphere was loud. Loud music and not many patrons. Surprised service was still so bad considering it wasn’t busy at all. Won’t be back unless I have to.

Saw all the reviews and decided to visit this place during my stay in Toronto . We were 4 of us and there was a 45 minutes of wait . We got the table eventually and ordered our drinks and food . One of the drink had an insect in it so we had to return it . Then later when the food arrived and one of the meal was not what we ordered so I waited for my food while everyone else ate . Now for an establishment like this one I would have expected some sort of service recovery but literally nothing was done from their end. Not a single server checked on us during this time to see if the drinks and food was okay specially when they messed up twice . I’m still giving them a good rating because the food and drinks were decent and the restaurant itself has a good ambiance. But service could have been better .

Our first time here and you definitely need a reservation to get in otherwise long wait times on a Saturday. The service right from the start was phenomenal all the way through the evening, they filled water and refills instantly and the waiter made an amazing recommendation for an appetizer (the picture with chicken bites). The chicken bites were spicy and so delicious and a fairly good portion to share. The truffle fries were also amazing and half off during happy hour! Our mains included steak, which was cooked perfectly medium rare, just as we asked! And the spaghetti with shrimp was also amazing and including so many pieces of shrimp! Everything came out fresh and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this location for the service and quality of food!

Bit of a late review since our party was at this location on Sunday, but I always want to make sure my reviews are thorough. First and foremost I would like to thank Connor for an amazing service. He was very prompt, professional and attentive, catering to our every need and bearing with our questions and indecision. It was personally my first time at this location and possibly one of the best experiences I have had at any dining locale; certainly an excellent first impression in terms of staff. The food was exceptional, in terms of taste and presentation. Certainly picture-worthy for any aspiring food blogger. 😋 I had ordered for myself the Spicy Tuna Tacos and Salmon Zen Bowl, and as a big fish fan these were beyond my expectations. Every part of each dish was fresh. Compliments to the kitchen. Overall we had a perfect dinner, and I am looking forward to returning the next time I find myself in the downtown core.

We were really enjoying the food and the ambience. The waitress, though initially polite and friendly, turned real rude towards the end. I'm assuming we took more time than she had anticipated to finish our food and get going. She came by twice while we were still eating to ask me if I was done with my dish. The third time, although she could clearly see I was mid bite and still eating, she just grabbed my plate and took it away. My friend gaped wide at this horrible gesture. She did not even look back. To save face, I told her I was done anyway. But left a real poor taste in my mouth- which is a pity, since I was really enjoying the place until then. Was even thinking of coming back with my boyfriend, but after this - Never again! If I want insult on the side with my food, I'd rather go to Karen's diner. Overall, a good place if you're okay being treated badly.

This place was amazing!! We came during happy hour and it was so worth the price and quality of the food. We had the spinach + 3 cheese dip and it’s probably the best one I’ve had. We ordered the street tacos and they turned out great. Lastly, we got the 8” margherita pizza which was soft and so yummy. For drinks, we got the mojito, watermelon slush and Moscow mule (not pictured). All these drinks were amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try more food and drinks from the menu.

Visited during happy hour. The sangria and pizza were the best deal 👌 All three sangria (rosè, red, white) were nice, but the white one was the best! I fell in love with the shrimp pizza especially, as it was very savory and crispy (crust)! I would definitely visit again to try all their 🍕🍕🍕!

Delicious food, great beer, not super loud with music. The crowd is a bit older than I expected like 40s or 50s. Our service was great! Parked in the TD center building for $10 so not bad. There were also a few daily specials so you don't have to break the bank to go there. Enjoyed it thoroughly- will be going again.

Great food and ambience. I came here with a group of 7 for lunch. We were seated right away and our server was kind. However, our food did take more than 45 minutes to come out. I had the Truffle + Steak Tortellini. This is a dish I would definitely go back for. So delicious! Others on my table regretted not ordering the same thing.

Visited here after going to the theatre and it did not disappoint. I had steak with mashed potatoes and everything was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes may be the best I've ever had. I could have used more vegetables, but otherwise it was great. My family all enjoyed their meals. Prices were reasonable for downtown Toronto, and our server was attentive and efficient. We will definitely visit again.

Alabama girl in Toronto for a conference. The last night there and after a week of surveying the restaurant menus in walking distance of the Sheraton we decided on Earl’s. It was the best last dinner that could have had to end our trip. I ordered the ribs with coleslaw and their version of warm potato salad. It was amazing. The ribs were tender and tasty and the potato salad was the best I’ve ever had. That’s saying a lot since I come from the place where people drive hours just to eat ribs and potato salad. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, the waitress was knowledgeable and welcoming and the patrons have to be the happiest group of people I have seen in a long while. My coworker had the blackened chicken Alfredo and she said it was equally amazing. I would recommend you make time to eat at Earl’s.

Ofcourse not to forget drinks too😊 everything with was on point along with the brilliant service. A good place to start the weekend, make sure you go in with an empty tummy as the portions are a challenge

Ordered: West Coast Prawn Pizza, Sangria (Red, White, Rose) West Coast Prawn Pizza 5/5 It was perfectly cooked, with the crust slightly burnt for crispiness while the dough was chewy. The cream sauce went really well with the cheese and olive oil, complimenting the prawns without overpowering them. This was one of the best pizzas in Toronto. Sangria (Red, White, Rose) 4/5 Red Sangria tasted perfect, well balanced between the sweetness and the heaviness of the red wine. White Sangria was a bit sweeter with the peach schnapps, but quite refreshing. Rose Sangria had a slight watermelon taste that made it the perfect summer drink.

Most of the food was great. The chicken Caesar salad kept getting messed up. First time it was really salty. Second time is was burnt under the bottom basically charred and the meet wasn’t very flavourful. It was unfortunate and we didn't make much of a fuss after the second time. We decided it just wasn’t to our taste. We also got charged for an extra chicken after saying the first was too salty. Not sure if that was a mistake, but I digress. The margarita pizza is just ok. Everything else was really delicious. I would definitely come here again. The ambience, and mood of the place was defined upscale but also down to earth as the servers were really friendly and inviting. Very surprising I enjoyed my time there completely.

I visited this location previously and the experience was good. This time around it was not the worst but also not the best. Upon arrival the dining area was full but we were able to get seats at the bar. The bar stools were really dirty and covered with food. My partner asked our server if he could wipe the seat down but he only ended up wiping the cushion and not the back rest which was the problem. Whatever… fast forward >> we ordered 2 Hawaiian Hurricanes each and for both orders our glasses were dirty. We said okay, we’ll let it slide it seems like a busy night maybe they didn’t notice. We had yam fries and the corn did for apps which were pretty good. I’d say those were the highlight in our night. I recommend for anyone not knowing what to start with. Lastly, for our mains I ordered the truffle tortellini with Tofu which in all honesty tasted like frozen pasta that I have in my freezer at home. The sauce as well as the tofu was really good but the pasta ruined the dish. My partner ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo which didn’t have that much flavour but she didn’t seem to mind. Overall, the experience was decent.

great place! we went on a Sunday during happy hour and despite the crowded place, the service was excellent! Our server (John Henry) was very vigilent and quick. They were amazing. The food was delicious too. We ordered the burger and street chicken tacos. I highly recommend! 😍😍

Service was absolutely terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a waitress to come to our table and we had to waive her down. In addition, we could see 7 staff members just standing by the bar on their phones. Food was good got vegan pizza and the corn avocado dip and the sushi tacos.

The place is pretty much full in the evening after office, reservation is a must to get a place in. I found the food options a bit limited. Few of the items were really good though like the chicken street tacos. The calamary fries were not great. The main course is quite heavy and is sufficient for more than 1 and if you are having starter then you can't finish it. Pricing is pretty high, which can be expected as it is in the heart of downtown.

It was great went in late evening and enjoyed 2 rolls. One spicy tuna and one dynamite with some beers. Servers were pretty attentive and brought everything in reasonable time. Covid restrictions were also followed and i really liked their ambience and music. Had a great time by myself as people i was with flaked on me 😑 Also make sure to have a reservation in advance as they can be fully booked and trust me it’s worth it.

Beautiful ambiance and wonderful cocktails. I didn't catch the bartender's name, but a handsome dark skin man with dreads, made us AMAZING cocktails and delivered EXCELLENT customer service. After being seated at our table the server was very slow at getting everything. She was nice but not attentive. The food was great. My favorite is the corn guacamole. It had so much texture and flavor!!! The best guac I have ever had. I love the music and the outdoor seating. Lots of great seating inside and outside. It gets busy so I suggest making reservations.

The resturant added a nice personal touch to the table for the birthday girl! We were smiling the entire time! Food was great. Cannot say enough great things about Amber! We will be back real soon!!!!!!

This is one of our most favorite hang out spot with friends. The patio is too good, it's in the heart of downtown and prime area with good road view from most part of the restaurant. The Staffs are very polite and the menu is super good. My all time favorites are bibimbap (customized to vegan) and the latest vegan Mother Earth bowl. It was a delight to any vegan lover.

The atmosphere at this place is always great, we got a comfortable booth for our crew. Staff were super friendly, the food we ordered was served hot, quickly, and was absolutely delicious. I'll be honest, my portion was generous as can be, that's a great "problem" to have. Definitely will return, definitely recommended.

Came here with some friends before the Raptor’s game and was quite disappointed with the quality of the food and the food options (or lack thereof) - * Our table wanted to order 2 of the “Angry Chicken Lettuce Wrap” appetizers but then we were told they were all out of lettuce 🐓🥬🙄😒 * We also ordered a margarita pizza 🍕 (but wanted meat on it), so our server recommended adding chorizo sausage. The manager then came back to our table and said they don’t have chorizo sausage lol, so instead we opted for double ham…🐖 Other apps included: hot wings 🍗 (which were fine), and the warm spinach & 3 cheese dip (which was also good, but a tad on the salty side) 🥴 Our mains included: - Ahi poke bowl 🐟 - Steak frites 9oz prime sirloin 🥩 - Bacon cheddar burger & truffle fries 🍔 - Steak, mash & veggies 🥩 The tuna poke bowl was good quality but lacked quantity and left me still feeling hungry after. Wasn’t worth the $27. The steak frites threw me off as it wasn’t what you think of when you think of traditional French “steak frites” - thinly sliced pieces of steak - but rather this was just a steak.. not sliced.. with fries on the side… 🥩🍟 All of our food came out within a reasonable time frame, however our second and third round of drinks were quite slow and we had to re-ask our server for them as it seemed like he forgot 😒🥃🍺 Normally I’m a big fan of Earl’s (the YVR locations are bomb), however this specific TO location on King street was a let-down.

We had a positive experience here. My husband and I came here for the first time yesterday and we loved the place. The food was amazing and they have so many options! The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy. The restaurant is following health recommendations for covid prevention. Their payment system through the QR code is practical. Highly recommend it, and will definitely come back.

Earls Kitchen was our first dining experience upon arriving in Canada from the US, and it definitely lived up to its stellar reputation. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Kevin, our waiter, was incredibly attentive and personable throughout our meal. The spinach dip appetizer surpassed our expectations - it was the best we’ve ever had. I opted for the steak truffle tortellini, while my husband enjoyed the Cajun sirloin with fresh veggies and mashed potatoes, both earning a solid 10-star rating. Though slightly pricey for lunch, every penny was justified by the quality of the food and service. We’re already planning to return before our departure next week.

Went here for a special occasion and had the best experience. The service and staff were exceptional, and the food was above and beyond delicious! Ordered from the happy hour menu and the price of drinks and bites was very reasonable. We ordered the angry chicken wrap duo, tofu wrap duos, margarita pizza, and sushi tacos with spicy tuna - all came out looking and tasting fresh and flavorful. Will be coming back again soon!

My husband and I came to Earls last night for my 40th birthday, and it was incredible!! We had an amazing waitress Makyla she was so kind, and helped us make a hard decision on the menu, and our meals were unreal. We had the newer risotto and Parmesan chicken dish, and Cajun blackened chicken dish and split both of them they were sooo flavourful, and cooked perfect big portions!! Our appetizer was the crispy prawn sushi tacos so incredibly flavorful as well! We met one of the managers Paige and she was also super kind, and really made my birthday night extra special. The two of them didn’t make me feel like just a customer made me feel like they were happy to have me on my birthday :) So many personal touches, and delicious birthday dessert. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to return!! Wish we had one in Barrie!!

Earl's restaurant offers a stellar dining experience that's perfect for business lunches. Recently, I dined there with colleagues and was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, with options ranging from succulent steaks to fresh seafood. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was professional yet inviting. I highly recommend Earl's for business lunches, but be sure to reserve in advance as it's often packed on weekdays.

In Toronto for a conference and a group of us came out to Earls. Pretty decent food. I got the bacon cheddar cheeseburger on a lettuce wrap with sweet potato fries. I have to say that they should be using a Boston or butter lettuce as a bun rather than romaine as it doesn’t hold up to the burger and ingredients on it. The new pulled chicken sandwich that my colleague had was great on a grilled sourdough bread. The avocado was a great touch to the sandwich. Overall a good experience but a little pricey for what you get. Especially the drinks.

It was my first time in Toronto so I don't have many restaurants to compare to, but this was a great business lunch spot. It was a spacious restaurant right downtown. They had a wide selection of items on the menu. I chose the truffle tortellini which I think could have had more truffle taste, but was good. It was a smaller portion than the rest of the lunches that my coworkers got so I wish the waitress had emphasized that when she asked if I wanted a protein or bread added on.

  • 5/5 Travis S. 6 months ago on Google
Outstanding meal with great service and great depth of flavour. We were a group of 6 so we had the chance to try a variety of menu items, and none of us were left with any disappointment. The drinks were superb (Highly recommend the Hawaiian Mai Tai) and all the mains were unanimously agreed to be excellent. Their pumpkin pie (thanksgiving special I believe) was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will be returning. Weather wasn’t there for it, but the patio looks like a great summer space!

This is by far the best Earls location I been to. The service was top notch. And the atmosphere was awesome. Thr bathroom was really clean. We had an anniversary celebration and the staff went above and beyond! I am planning to come here for my birthday next time!

  • 4/5 Chanelle D. 5 months ago on Google
Nice vibe. Great location in downtown TO close. Familiar casual dining good. Portions are small as you can see there is a large plate with very little amount of food and a lot of space. Made me feel like it was Earl's way of making up for lost revenue during COVID. Reduce the amount rather than increase the price. The food was delicious, but I didn't feel like I got value given the portion size.

This is my second time experiencing earls. Both times were fantastic on all accounts. Our table ordered every appetizer along with individual plates and deserts. Not one complaint from the table of 15 plus compliments on all items. The truffle fries were amazing. I got the steak and sushi and topped it off witb their seasonal pumpkin pie. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned as expected. Get the Cajun spice on your steak for an extra kick! Our server was always available, friendly, and made our experience great. Will visit again!

Waiter was nice but kept forgetting us. Took 30mins just to get some water and then I had to ask multiple times to get ketchup for our fries. Food was good, atmosphere was nice but our waiter dropped the ball and then tried to make up for it with some last minute awkward conversation as we're paying to try and secure a good tip.

The one thing that stays tried and true about Earls, you are never made to feel like you are a burden. All the other restaurants in the core, you’re told at the time you arrive the table is good for a certain time. I have yet to ever hear that from Earls. In the last two months met with a large group and with two good friends and honestly the experience, the service, the food and the drinks never fail. Met with some friends last week for a random meet up. Ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, tropic thunder pizza and a few Moscow mules and swapped to grey goose as the choice. Everything hits the spot and is always consistent. Cheers to the great folks at Earl’s on King!

Came here for a team dinner. The mains were surprisingly generous and filling! I enjoyed my truffles parmesan chicken and risotto a lot, and even packed some for dinner when I couldn't finish it. I couldn't wipe my smile off my face when it arrived with two large schnitzel-like chicken pieces and a full bed of risotto! Presentation was also on point. Service was good but the food took a long time to come, though admittedly we were a big group.

We went in for a Saturday Brunch date. The restaurant accepts walk-ins and reservations. The hosts are very well trained, knowledgeable and provide good support when you have questions about any item on the menu. Our host Laurie was amazing with her service and recommendations. We ordered - 1. Street Chicken Tacos for appetizers. Usually comes in 3 pcs; but they accommodate you for 4 pcs. 2. Vegetarian Hunan Kung Pao with rice noodles. 3. Prawn Omelette with salad and toasts. Their cocktails are amazing - 1. PB&J - Peanut Butter Whiskey with raspberry jelly, red wine and fresh lemon. 2. Winter Sangria - Red wine with St. Remy's brandy and berries. 3. Espresso Martini - Vodka, Kahlua, Vanilla Liqueur along with housemade cold brew. 4. Watermelon Slush - Vodka, Dry Vermouth, watermelon, fresh lemon juice and berries. 5. Black Coffee. For a busy Saturday afternoon; ther service was quick, efficient and immaculate. Good ambiance and great food. The overall quality and quantity is worth every penny.

Another hot and humid day in Toronto, and me walking around to find the best place to chill and grab a bite. I saw this place and I was hooked. I walked inside and was welcomed by quite friendly staff. Initially I was sat at a corner kind of boxed in not being able to enjoy the ambience but when I voiced my dissatisfaction, I was immediately escorted (lol) to another table which was just what I wanted! The grilled chicken I had was the best that I had ever tasted in my life, and I'll leave it at that =) Prices are a bit high, so you won't be going every weekend, but definitely one of those places that you'll visit more than a couple of times per year.

A gem for sure! Definitely a great spot to for a casual meet up spot with the friends. We got the burger and the fried calamari. Both were excellent. The food was amazing! So was the hospitality and the ambience. Dominique is a wonderful waitress and catered to our needs, she even told us about the servings and asked if we wanted to add extras, Janessa (I hope I spelled it correctly), the manager is also a lovely lady, we had a lovely chat with her! If you both are reading this, thank you so much for a wonderful night! I will surely come back and recommend this place to others!

I recently went to Earls Kitchen + Bar for the first time, and it was amazing. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food. Our waitress was patient and provided great customer service. Thank You Maddie! One of the managers came over and ensured my friend of the extra precautions they were taking as he did have allergies to some items/ ingredients on the menu. Much appreciated.

Second time here at the financial district location and it was just as good as the first time. We reserved for a party of 7 on a weekday night to celebrate a birthday. The seating was a little cramped since most of us had backpacks. There was a special dessert and card from the restaurant for the birthday guest. There was an error with splitting the bill equally but we didn’t want to make a fuss over it at a celebration. Overall a great experience, service was prompt and food was excellent.

Walked up to this spot following a Blue Jays game. Very impressed with the restaurant turnover with a Leafs game about to start and Jays fans coming in. We did have reservations + encouraged to do so. Drinks were good (cocktail presentation underwhelming but tasted great) + food was fresh. Few missing components however corrected without any trouble. Service was great + recommendations were appreciated. Definitely on a pricier side however, fresh food and great atmosphere contribute to the experience!

A nice place in the downtown area to hang out with friends late at night during the happy hours. The happy hours at night starts at 11 pm and they have a decent selection of beers. The ambience is amazing. Reserving a table in advance might be a good idea. We ended up taking the bar stools since all the tables were reserved already. The bartenders are really friendly. In fact, one of the bartenders was nice enough to cover for some of our drinks which was really surprising and great of her. I wish I knew her name so I could mention it in the review.

Very friendly staff. We ate wings and I can say so far they were the most delicious I ever tasted. But for the side dish, I ordered a dish of vegetables with rice and shrimp (wok). I made the request specifically that Not Spicy, but my dish was spicy at 100%, actually I tried to eat it but it was very imposible for me. I ate only 5 bites and my husband offered to switch plates with me, which is unfair because he doesn't even like the type of food that I ordered. After 15 minutes, the waitress asks me if everything is okay and I told her that no, that I actually asked for a non-spicy dish and they gave me one completely the opposite. She kindly offered me if I wanted to order something else, which at that point in the lunch when everyone in my desk had already finished, probably have to wait longer for another plate, and very surely that they would have charged the additional dish then for that reason I said "No thanks". Finally, I had left the plate halfway, it was inedible. So, here the negative aspect is with those in the kitchen. The funniest thing is that even with the complaint about the plate and having left more than half of the plate, they charged the cost. In this aspect the customer service is lousy. I think at the first bite I should have sent that dish back. At the end, I ordered a ginger ale and they brought me a dirty glass, as you can see in the photo. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. Just two stars, it is a very expensive restaurant and it not worth it.

Came here for a work lunch and enjoyed a good meal and fast service. I enjoyed the poké bowl as it was balanced, fresh and filling. Vibrant location, good ambience and efficient service to get in and out during the lunch hour, without feeling rushed. Quite pricey for what you get but that is to be expected in the financial district, catering to the office crowd. On separate occasions I've enjoyed happy hour, after work drinks. Overall a reliable option for a work lunch and drinks.

Went here a couple days ago and was super impressed! Only been to the Vaughan location so was really pleased to see how much better this location is. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table which is great considering the fact that we got there at peak hours. They also offered us drinks and a place to sit while we waited which was also great. Food was 10/10, drinks were 10/10, service was okay but it was super busy so I don’t blame them. You need to get the calamari!

Joined my party very late due to transit. The server was still nice enough to not rush our table and I was still able to enjoy my meal (got the Santa Fe Chicken Salad). It was very filling and nicely flavoured. Good portion too. Had to ask for extra utensils as that was forgotten but thats not a big deal. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy some food with some drinks for a leisure night out with friends.

The service wa great. Loved the service a lot. The cocktails we had was great too. However I didn't get pictures of every meal. We waited a bit for our food. All 6 of us ordered meals. 4 of us were ok with our meals. 2 had their meals returned and just said it was so terrible that they don't want to order anything again. I know that the waiter was very accommodating telling them she could have it made differently but they seemed quite scarred.

Visited weekday after a Blue Jays game and had no issues getting a table without a reservation, but I would recommend it if you can. There was a small lineup to get a table, however the restaurant has many tables including a large outdoor seating area. Happy Hour was until 5pm and we managed to get in a refreshing drink after a hot day at the ballpark. Service was quick, which came from a variety of people: hostess, taking your order, one brought the drinks, another the meals.... who do you tip? Ordered Earls Chicken Biryani, which was very tasty served in a generous bowl, and the spicy garlic side dish was a treat.
