I was here for an intimate wedding. I love the decor of this restaurant but the private dining room is not as nice as the main. However, I do enjoy the building views. I'm pleasantly surprised how big the portion is. I love the seafood tower and everything seems very fresh. However, as for the steak... I noticed is on the salty side which I couldn't finish. Overall, pretty good experience.

I came here for my friends birthday and received very good service accompanied with great ambience and decor all around the restaurant. The scallops were perfectly cooked and our drinks were amazing. Espresso martini wasn't on the menu but they made it on my request which I appreciated. The chocolate cake was big and thick as I saw on the photos. Overall, I would visit again.

Amazing restaurant! I have been eating at this restaurant for several days as I have been staying in the hotel. The food is excellent and the presentation is outstanding. Service is top notch. Staff are attentive and keep your water and coffee topped up. Ready to offer suggestions. Great place!

Went here on Dec 24 to have brunch. Food was awful for the price. Buttermilk pancakes were hard as rock. Considering the price, should be at least freshly made. Steak and eggs for 50 dollars should be at least decent in taste. Truffle and Brie Omelette is good. The lattes were brewed alright. I am giving 2 stars because our server was amazing and friendly. Unfortunately, I would consider another restaurant for a bill of almost 200 for 2 people - poor food quality and taste (brunch) At minimum, the food should at least be warm when it’s being served. Ambiance was good. Unfortunately my overall experience is not good and I am not considering to come back.

Great atmosphere (business casual). Outstanding service. Excellent recommendation from server on pairing drinks with food. Fair quality/price. The King Louis cake is fresh, rich in chicolate flavor yet not too sweet. It is big enough to share with up to 6. Have the server help you share it because, due to its size, the table can get messy. Overall excellent experience. Highly recommend this place.

Outstanding atmosphere and felt very classy. I loved the overall the mood of this place! The 13 layer cake is a must, but be warned you definitely need to bring a few friends to finish it. The food was also really great and servers were attentive to allergies. Although can’t guarantee cross contamination. Overall, had such a great experience and would come again.

Great service, great views, delicious food! Came here for a birthday recently. We opted to do a family style dinner and ordered a range of appetizers and mains. The soft shell crab was the star starter! The wagyu bivette was delicious. Unfortunately the chicken was dry but still very tasty. We got the Kings cake for dessert! With 5 people we still ha leftovers :) ask for extra ice cream! We did one scoop per person and it was the perfect ratio! We tried a number of different cocktails and they were all very good.

I went there with a group of 10 for a farewell dinner. Food was okay - quite fresh, and arrived on table in a reasonable time. Worth a four-star just for food, but lost 2 because of the server and service. The server doesn’t seem to speak very well in English and therefore there was quite a lot of misunderstanding the entire night. One of the most u acceptable one was that she gave us an extra risotto. We didn’t want to take other people’s order, or pay for something we didn’t need, so we told her it was extra. She gave it to us for free because it’s her mistake. So the night went on and the risotto remained untouched. She took it away without even asking! I confronted her and asked why she took it away, she said she thought we don’t want it. Then she ran to the kitchen and asked the kitchen to make us another risotto 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 why did she have to repeat her mistakes? Anyway, we wait for 40 minutes for her to organize our bill, not sure why she made us wait. It was a $2800 dinner from all of us, I’m not saying we should be treated like VIPs, but at least some better service than this. Btw the very famous cake is overly sweet to my taste.

My partner and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience was very nice and the customer service was superb. One drawback is that the valet parking is located at the St. Regis Hotel and costs $35 regardless of the length of time spent at the restaurant. We spent less than 1.5 hours there and you could tell the parking attendant felt bad charging us the full amount. The complimentary warm sourdough bread with the truffle honey spread and French butter was amazing! The main entrees were average but the presentation was on point. Last but not least, we had to have the King’s Cake which was a nice way to end the meal! As a chocolate lover, I’d say the cake is pretty decent but it could be better. Each of the 13 slices are filled with the perfect amount of buttercream, ganache and cake. I would prefer it to be more moist and flavourful for it blow my mind but it is definitely worth trying. There were people all around us that came into the restaurant just to try the cake and take photos so don’t feel bad if you’re visiting just for dessert!

The food is delicious. I recommend the lobster risotto. Tons of lobster and cooked perfectly. The cocktails are excellent. Unique and complex with still being widely enjoyed for most palettes - not too niche. Ambience and setting is lush and very comfortable. I also got their famous 13 layer King’s cake which really was just a fun experience. Go here for a lovely, stand-out evening.

The food was phenomenal seriously I had a best night here with my another couple we went for a dinner and we were happy of services and the food as well as our servers. Let’s start with the Cesar salad it was fresh and the dressing was so different. We ordered steak , burger , Branizo Then we tried the famous King’s Cake it was good with ice cream and loved the texture on it . Service was a little slow but we enjoyed and it wasn’t a big deal for us , we’ll def be back :)

I have been wanting to have a meal at Louix Louis for a while and we had a chance to celebrate a birthday here. The decor and the ambience really stand out. The scallops were to die for. The lobster risotto was delicious and the mussels were exquisite. Our server made it extra special by giving us macaroons as a celebratory gift. Would highly recommend!

Restaurant located in St Regis hotel. Honestly the food was just alright. Quite expensive for what you get. The 13 layer cake is good but very, VERY dense. My wife and I took it to go and ate it over the span over a week. Expect $150-200 per person for a full meal with drinks

Second time visit my husband took me out for a birthday continental brunch and I honestly loved it! Although the appetizers and starters were sweet, the main course was filling. My favorite dishes were the salmon waffles and potatoes & duck. Service was incredible, the ladies serving us put-in lots of care! Music is just as right, comfortable seating.

Food was decent, the bar is spectacular, the cake is the reason we went. It is quite large and we ordered one for a table of 6. They do charge a lot of extra for service but that is expected knowing that the restaurant promotes itself as opulent.

Fun celebration place with fancy people! FOOD: We came to this place for the Lunar New Year menu and were immediately asked if we are celebrating something. As we looked around, it was a place to celebrate: sweet 16, a birthday, engagement. Hence the celebration place. We started with oysters (substituted with tuna sashimi for people with shell fish allergy). We followed with a dumpling appetizer made with fois gras and pork dumplings (yummmm). The next course was Red Snapper with a salad on the side, perfectly prepared with a nice crunchy char. Finally, the red bead pudding dessert sealed the deal. I paired my dinner with a nice rose from Salento, dry and perfect for the fish. SERVICE: The service was amazing. Friendly, attentive, and providing the right description of all of the courses. I was impressed and enjoyed the service immensely! Bravo! I only had similar experience in the best restaurants in the city. ATMO: The atmosphere was very posh, beautiful chandeliers and an impressive whiskey bar. The people were all very posh as well; a bit too posh for a simpleton like me. But the staff did not bat an eye at me being underdressed. Again—speaks to the values this restaurant has at the core. Definitely recommend!

My wife and I had a marvellous time at LOUIX LOUIS! Perched upon the 31st floor of The St. Regis Toronto, you are greeted by their Host and/or Hostess, which took us to our reserved table. Our server was Manny, who was an impeccable individual who catered to our requests and ensured that my wife’s birthday was as unforgettable and impeccable as she is. I had the Grilled Octopus which was tender and juicy, like one might find a medium rare steak! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Truffle Glazed Chicken. We sipped upon our “Rated G” mock-tails, which were a delight. The fresh bread with butter was exquisite. The men’s bathroom was clean, and the decor of the restaurant was mesmerizing. We will definitely come here again!

Louix Louis has been on my list of restaurants to try and we finally managed to go. The hype is for the cake but before that, we got some oysters which were amazing. I also got the truffle glazed chicken where I was actually surprised about the serving size. It was a large portion and the base sauce and lentils were amazing to pair with the chicken. Then the cake itself was as expected, a large cake that you definitely can't finish in one sitting. The cake itself isn't out of this world taste wise but it's 'cakey' and is super filling with just a slice. We took the rest home to have later. The atmosphere of this place is really nice, the bar area is well designed and you have a nice view as the restaurant is on the 31st floor for the St.Regis hotel.

Hands down one of the top restaurants in Toronto! 1 Michelin ⭐️ well deserved! Great European wine selections, amazing apps to share. Pictured here is a custom seafood platter that you can ask the chef to create with a few of the seafood appetizers. Absolutely delish! I will be coming back back here time and time again because the quality and service is always consistent and impressive. Highly recommend for date nights, business dinners, birthdays or for tourists looking for a special time. Located inside St. Regis on the 31st floor. Love 💕

I came here for my birthday celebration. The atmosphere was great, the bar is gorgeous and the views of the city are fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive and the menu has a lot of options - especially lots of truffle options. If you’re a truffle fan like me you’ll be in heaven. I got the burrata to start which was so delicious and fresh. They bring fresh bread with truffle butter which was insanely good - I had to stop myself from getting more otherwise I wouldn’t be able to eat my meal. Then I got the filet mignon with a side of truffle Mac and cheese. The steak was delicious, I ordered it medium but it came rare which I was happy about. The meat was tender and delicious. My partner got the sea bass and he said it was amazing. We got the black Forrest dome for dessert which was wonderful. I really wanted the kings cake but could not justify $55 for one slice. It’s also huge and we were 2 people. 5 stars for everything but I gave it 4 stars because it was very expensive for what we got. We shared an appetizer, got 2 mains, a side, shared one dessert and each had a glass of wine and it was almost $350. I felt the portions were not big and it was overpriced. Lovely experience though

I’ve dined here a few times and every time their service is impeccable. As for the atmosphere the pictures don’t lie. The lighting sound and vibe make it so that you could sit and drink and eat all night. I highly recommend getting the King cake for a birthday, it’s huge so it will feed you after your day is over. The drinks are delicious as well. Even though it can be a little bit more expensive than what you might typically spend on a night out it’s quite worth it.

Yes just yes! Kings Cake is 13 layers of chocolate cake heaven on the 31st floor of the St Regis in Toronto on Bay street. The play on chicken (duck) and waffles was so good. Steaks are perfect and the venue is just so comfy. If you need the ultimate dessert this is the place to go and the meal is a great lead up to the chocolatety goodness.

A terrific restaurant located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel. Service was just as spectacular as their food with the highlights being their soft shelled crabs and the 13 layer chocolate cake. Unsurprisingly we were unable to finish this massive dessert so our serve took it to the kitchen, sliced off the “eaten” parts and presented it back as if it was a fresh slice of cake. They know exactly what they’re doing 👌

What a perfect place for lunch or an after work drink. The lounge is elegantly decorated and the service is top notch. Yes it a little pricey but it’s worth it. A perfect place to meet up with important client or your new dates.

Celebrated a birthday here. Service & quality of food is superb! They made my mom feel very special indeed. ** I would come back here for the fresh bread alone!!! Highly recommend the Scallops & the Lobster Risotto! It’s so creamy and with a good portion of lobster!

I really wanted to like this restaurant but the experience was disappointing. I bookmarked this place almost 3 years ago and finally I was able to visit it to celebrate my birthday on November this year. The first red flight is that the staff at the door was not welcoming or warm at all, they didn't even said hi when we arrived. We got our table and ordered drinks. The place was packed and there was only one waitress, so we waited almost 30 minutes for a cocktail and a whisky on the rocks that came without ice. For food we ordered salmon tartare, wagyu burgers and we got complimentary bread. The bread was amazing but the rest of the meal wasn't good. I don't know if this was a coincidence but both my boyfriend and I got stomachache when we arrived home. I think it was the burger and I even found a similar review from another customer saying that they got sick after eating the burger. The Kings Cake was of course beautiful but the taste was just like any other regular chocolate cake. The place was beautiful but for the prices they are charging you are expecting to get a better service and food.

Went there for a date night with my fiancé. Truly bougie experience. Our server Cameron was amazing and a great conversationalist. He made spectacular suggestions and we were very happy with all of the things we tried! Ambience 4/5; we got stuck next to four very loud guys but otherwise would’ve been absolute 5/5! Value: 5/5; naturally it’s a reasonably expensive place but 100% value for the experience! Service: 6/5. We really enjoyed Cameron’s company! Response: 5/5! Didn’t take long at all for our drinks or meals! Overall great experience- will definitely return someday!!

I came here pre-COVID for their high tea and can't say enough good things. As soon as you step off the elevator, you're greeted by a gracious host and then taken to your table. The server came over right away, took our drink orders, and talked us through the menu. The food was fantastic, and the decor was tasteful and opulent.

This almost hurts to write but I feel it’s the right thing to do. this is my third time having LXLS experience and for some reason it’s only now that I’m eating it. From a solid 4.5 stars that it used to be I say it’s a low 2 now. I was so extremely disappointed by the food that I had. The beef tartare which is one of my fav things to eat is so bland and mediocre it’s almost shocking. The chunks of meat are way too big and chewy with the spicy mayo taking over the flavour. There’s nothing good about it. The escargot was also quite bland — tasted more like puff pastry and grease than a nice buttery flavour you usually get. Burrata is always a safe choice — just another good cheese. We also got the chicken. The truffle jus was barely truffle and definitely too fluid rather than juicy. Honestly for the price we paid it’s more than disappointing. Last year the food was spectacular (tuna tartare, the scallop dish was done completely differently and SO MUCH BETTER). The best thing right now is the cocktails and the views. I don’t think I’ll be returning. All that to say — the service was really nice. We weren’t charged for the tartare.

Came on Thanksgiving at 12.30pm. Because of the holiday, breakfast menu was extended till 1.30pm. Still, hubby and I had a good meal. We shared a Baked Pastry Basket which was divine. Buttery and flaky pastries were very yummy. This is by far the best item we ordered. He also ordered a Prime Rib Breakfast Burger with bacon and eggs on the side. I got a Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. They were all good. The only couple of things I would say is on the down side are (1) the salmon's texture was a bit mushy. Should have gone for the spinach version of the Eggs Benedict. (2) Also didn't care for the hash browns as they were a little too salty. Teas were very good. My black tea - Heavenly Cream - really did give a sense of cream even though I had it black. Their Jasmine Snow Dragon which is a green / herbal tea was fragrant and elegant.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday and I truly loves that I selected this restaurant. The decor is gorgeous - such a lively Great Gatsby feel. We were a bit disappointed as we had wanted to sample the wagyu steak from the lunch menu but only brunch is served on weekends. We opted for the Royal Brunch for 2 and it is actually mighty filling. Our favourite was the lobster avocado toast and filet mignon. We also enjoyed the shrimp cocktail we added on. Topped it off with The King’s Cake Slice and it was divine. Most outstanding about Louix Louis was the service; superbly attentive, warm and friendly. We felt like it was private dining in our own world!

Great pick for a classy and more upscale dinner. Food was excellent with particular mention to the tomahawk steak. Service left a bit to be desired. I'm on the younger side and felt as though we were lower priority since we weren't necessarily the target demographic of the restaurant. Frequently had to waive down waiters for service

Very delicious meal. Everything we ordered was very good. The menu was on pricier side. Personally some items were a bit too oily but overall it tastes good. The steak was cooked well and I also really liked the scallop ceviche, lobster risotto, and of course the kings cake. The kings cake was more of a brownie cake and wasn’t overly sweet. Also, the complementary bread (brioche) was amazing with the truffle butter, it was warm, buttery, fluffy, delicious! The ambience was nice and service was very good too.

Louix Louis was a phenomenal experience. The ambience was warm and beautiful, the faint candlelight and our window view making for a magical evening. The gentleman attending our table was a true delight. He was friendly and attentive, and offered wonderful suggestions. There wasn't a single moment where we felt rushed or ignored- he timed everything so perfectly, ensuring a smooth transition between each course. The food itself was absolutely amazing. My King Crab Salad and Lobster Risotto were prepared perfectly, and plated so beautifully. My partner thoroughly enjoyed is Tar Tar and Filet Mignon. We finished the evening with the King Cake in celebration of my partners birthday. I must say, pictures do not do it justice. It was so tall, the chocolate so rich and smooth, and presented so well. Thank you so much to everyone at Louix Louis for such an amazing experience.

I recently visited this restaurant for brunch and while the food was good, I didn't find it to be amazing for the price. However, the portions were generous, and I particularly enjoyed the beef and the desserts. The coffee was not good at all.. Unfortunately, my experience was somewhat dampened by the unpleasant smell of my server. While he was friendly and attentive, I couldn't help but notice the odour every time he leaned in to serve us. This was disappointing, especially considering the restaurant's supposed high-end status. Overall, while I wouldn't necessarily discourage anyone from trying this restaurant, I do think there are better brunch options in Toronto for better value.

Good experience. Did not appear as opulent as the pictures online. We did the Royal buffet- $80 per person- minimum of 2 people as it’s served family style in shareable bite size plates. Good variety of food. Good presentation but not lavishly flavorful. Tried the duck confit and waffles as well and that wa quite good. Tried the truffle steak frites- done with potatoes and not fries. Truffle shavings had a very mild flavor profile unfortunately. Also tried the Kings cake- the 14 layer chocolate cake- do not recommend unless you’re more than 6 people. Very cakey- wasnt a fan. Much preferred the Zen stone dessert with three little white chocolate encased matcha ball, black sesame ball and I believe the other was a yuzu ball. The desserts in the brunch menu were pretty decent- especially the almond craqueline with praline ganache- more mousse though. And the honey yogurt pans cotta was quite good as well- though it was very citrusy which wasn’t listed- which we liked quite a bit. The strawberry shortcake was ok.

This restaurant is an elegant, classy, and great place for small parties or more intimate dates. Though the food portions were quite small, everything was delicious. Cocktails were good; however, the bartender should not have been chilling shots as we did not ask for them to be chilled. This caused it to be extremely watered down and when we brought it up to the server, they tried to justify the situation by stating that it tastes better when chilled. Our party has been working in the hospitality industry for many years and this was not a response we expected to hear. The infamous 13-layer chocolate cake definitely met expectations — this is a big enough slice of a small group of friends!

Beautiful restaurant. The decor makes you feel like you’re in the Great Gatsby. The food is quite good, the potatoes are nicely done. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We had the eggs benefit with bacon, avocado toast with smoked salmon, breakfast burger, and custom omelette (that was almost made correctly). The main thing is we waited > 30 min for our breakfast our first day, which made us resort to calling ahead for future days. Perhaps they were short staffed that morning.

I celebrated my anniversary at this place and it was great! As soon as they found we were celebrating our anniversary the server gave us a glass of champagne to cheers. Service was perfect! Honestly the best service. Food was great the best was the burrata, cowboy steak and the side of mushrooms was amazing! The lobster risotto was alright. Ambience was amazing I went on a Saturday night and it was busy. I would recommend!

Louix Louis is my must go to dining if I celebrate special events. Their service and food are always top notch. However, one down side is they don't change their menu often. This time finally they update their menu. We tried the waygu short ribs and king salmon. Waygu short rib is about 6-7oz, braised over many hours to make it tender. King salmon with lentil is another delicious entrée. Finally we ended up something different for the dessert as well! They have the cheesecake. Louix Louis is definitely worth a try, price point is reasonable since it is located in St Regis hotel. Expect $50-65 per entrée, $25-40 per appetizer.

I got the clam chowder, octopus, lobster risotto, Brussels sprouts and the kings cake. The seafood was perfectly cooked, nothing was rubbery. The cake was dense but still moist. Portions seemed to be for individuals. I was able to finish most of it myself. *note* the complementary bread and truffle butter was probably my favourite though - I love a soft warm salty bread with nutty, earthy butter. Negroni was perfection. Lovely atmosphere, lively but not loud or over-crowded. The tables were a bit small - it could be like playing Tetris when your food all gets to the table. The server was very nice but there were a lot of people coming to the table I was unsure of who I could ask for what. Moreover the service was a bit slow - however I did come for dinner on a Friday, it was a bit busy. Overall, I do find it a little pricey, but I liked their take on the classics and would come back.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service! Their bread with the honey mix gives that sweet but tangy flavor. Never thought a combo would pair so well. I don't have it pictured but their Cesar's are put together thoughtfully - not to make it it's own meal. Escargot was paired with a flaky pastry - loved it. Finally, Steak steak steak! Cake cake cake! That's all I'll say about that.

Beautiful restaurant, one of Canada’s largest dark liquor selections. A large chocolate cake available. Very upscale. Exceptional service.

The food is really expensive, but it's worth visiting at least once just for the experience alone. You will enjoy the atmosphere, the looks, the food and everything this place has to offer. I wouldn't say that their food is to die for, but it's completely acceptable and actually somewhat enjoyable. But let's be honest, you are not climbing up to the 31st floor for food alone. Service there is absolutely top notch. Everything is so clean that you could probably eat off of the floor and not get sick. Every corner of this restaurant just shines and sparkles. Waiters are top notch. Expect a great dinner experience in great company, and great tasting food just don't expect otherworldly food.

Good vibes, good food. It was a tad bit louder than what I’m used to. Though my waitress was amazing, it did sometimes feel she had too many tables to work. She was great though, very polite, and just great service by her, despite being assigned pretty much every table in the middle of the restaurant.

The good: Service was stellar from start to finish. Very polite and smart. We indicated we were splitting apps, and they pre-emptively split both into separate servings for us. The bread and butter were also tasty. The french fries were the tastiest thing of the evening and cooked perfectly. The good is why they don't have 1*. This place also looks absolutely stunning. The ok: the caesar salad had good flavours but the croutons were not as crispy and fresh as they should be (the in between stage of crisp and stale, which is unacceptable for the supposed caliber of this restaurant). The duck dumpling in the duck dish was also well seasoned. the meh: I cannot believe we got that green wakame salad from Costco in the lobster bisque. The bisque itself was good though a bit too spicy. The duck leg was dry, but the flavour was okay. the bad: dry, over-salted burger. Gritty, yet runny mac and cheese (very impressive -- one of the two alone would already be a failed mac, and they managed to do both).

Came here for my birthday for brunch and love the place. Food wise it’s good and you must try the 13 layer chocolate cake. Service was great as well.

Came here for a special dinner. The place is on the 31st floor from an hotel. Very good place and staffs. We book it an week in advance sadly we didn't get the window view sit as requested but is ok for us because its only 2 are available. Upon arrive the welcome ladies introduced us our waitress and she guided us to our table that was very clean and organized. The menu is pretty simple. Every table has a bun and special butter to start with. We ordered ceasar salad, Champion de Paris, Cowboys Stake and Filet mingon. The food was pretty good specifically the Champion de Paris. Filet mingon was outstanding good. Cowboy Stake I would give 4.5/5 because the selection wasn't perfect and it has some beef nerves on it but overall was amazing too, very well seasoned. I highly recommend this place for everyone, hope they can open another location in Markham or Richmond Hill to be more convenient for some people.

Outstanding combination of pleasant atmosphere, high ceilings, very attentive service, but not too much in your face. The menu was really excellent and it was hard to pick one meal, I picked the risotto with lobster and freshly shaved truffles. Cost of the meal was around $60 Canadian, which is an amazing value. The drinks menu was very innovative, but they were able to do ad hoc, cocktails classics, one time they brought a martini that wasn’t balanced, but they quickly redid it, and it was good. The view is very good although I would improve the lighting in the dining section which was in my mind a little bit too low.

One of my fav places to visit! The food is always exceptional, but moreover the ambiance and service are incredible! Many thanks to our hostess Sylvia! The majestic work of art on the ceiling is worth a visit alone! This is one of my favourite places in the city for their unique lineup of cocktails and the extensive bar menu. If you’re looking for the true experience, be sure to visit the lounge at 6 PM for their champagne sabrage ritual! We enjoyed live music which was lovely although a bit loud as we were seated right in front! Of course, I enjoyed my classic Paloma ! The lobster bisque poured table-side over shrimp dumplings is such a luscious and decadent delight! My octopus was seared to perfection! Not to be missed are the intricate and heavenly desserts, like this black forest chocolate dome with caramel ganache and whiskey chantilly! Their most epic dessert, although not pictured here is the 13 layer king’s cake! Save that for a special occasion! Thank you for the hospitality ! I can’t wait to come back soon!
