Nice place while in Toronto. Ate lunch here. They have multiple vendors for food. I had the pizza. I chose half pepperoni and half butter chicken pizza. The pepperoni pizza was great but the butter chicken was just ok. I think you have to have an acquired liking for butter on your pizza. Overall, very good. Give it a try if you're in Toronto.

This place is a bit difficult to find as the sign isnt obvious from the outside. It’s definitely unique in a sense that the place has a bunch of assorted restaurants within, so you can go as a group and choose whichever food you want to eat individually. It’s like food court but instead of fast food, it’s restaurant food. One major downside is when we went, lots of places were closed, likely due to covid, so there were not many to select from. I will return in the future if there are more restaurants occupying the place.

High end food court with a lot of amazing varieties. All the food we ordered are top notch and tasted as good as restaurants. Must try are the tacos from Colibri and the pizza from Oswald. There’s bit of wait time for the food but that’s to be expected because they were freshly made. They do give you a pager to inform you of when the food are ready so you don’t need to wait at one spot. Definitely will go back to try other food.

Very interesting concept in the Google building in downtown Toronto. I tried the pizza Oswald One of the best Detroit style pizzas around very busy during the lunch time. Good thing is is I accessed it through the path system

Diving into a culinary melting pot at chefshallto From sushi to fried chicken, the options are endless making lunch or dinner decisions way too exciting! The holidays are right around the corner and gifting just got a whole lot easier! Buy a $50 gift card and get a $10 bonus. Gift cards are available for purchase in person.

We went to watch the Raptors game, there were two projectors set up with massive screens. The food was very good and the service was very fast. We liked that there was a good variety of foods available. The pizza by GoodSon was very good. The Isshin fries were nice. The ceviche and the edamame was super plain and not worth it. The prices are pretty high for what it is. Other than that I had a great experience at Chef’s Hall for the recent Raptors game.

I have been to multiple events at Chef’s Hall and have enjoyed all of them. It offers great variety of food stations from drinks, coffee, Indian Cuisine, Chineses Cuisine, Mexican Cuisine, Pizza, Bubble Tea, Fried Chicken, Poke, Grandma Loves You Sandwiches, etc. There’s plenty of space between the food stations and on the patio to sit down and enjoy your food or have events that even include dancing. Finding parking is a bit tricky though. Well, isn’t that the case in Downtown? Lol If you’re lucky, you can find street parking, if not, you need to use underground parking which is expensive. Best option is taking TTC there if you can.

Great alternative to the food courts around. Hands down better food that what you find in food courts. That said, price is double. Portions are perfect for a meal. Lunch order from Grandma Loves You for 1 person was $25 and lunch order from Charcoal for 1 person was $23. Definitely going back to try Grateful Chicken and Oswald’s Pizza.

Chef's Hall is a nice little food hall with a number of diverse vendors. you got ramen, tempura, pizza, tacos, fried chicken and more. Look for the sign that says Lost Coffee since it can be hard to spot from the outside. Order your food at a vendor, pick up your tray of food and find your own table. Someone comes to clear the table after.

My daughter was with us during a visit to Toronto and she suggested this place for lunch. It really was a unique dining experience. The Hall features a lot of little "Food Court" style food services and there are a wide selection of different food choices. We all had delicious chicken from one of the services and we took it out to the patio where I was also able to get a beer to go with the chicken. I would suspect it might get busy during downtown lunch hour, but when we went service was quick and there were plenty of tables available out on the Patio.

Amazing spot to eat and hang out with friends. I love this premium food court concept. Great vibe, vibrant atmosphere, lively music, and good food. Many food and beverage options. Spacious for different group settings. They have a patio as well. Will definitely come back to try more. This building also has Google office.

Seriously, one of the coolest places we have been in a long time. It is like a large upscale cafeteria type setting, but much cooler. There are several vendors that sell specialty food items and there is definitely something to please all pallets. We were taken care of by a gentleman named David who exemplified what it means to provide superior customer service to his guests. We cannot say enough about him. We plan on going back a few more times during our trip. What a wonderful experience we had!!

There are so many food choices at chef hall. The prices are ridiculously high. The cafeteria style is pretty cool. I’d recommend this for a quick happy hour drink. Or work lunch…

  • 3/5 Rany N. 2 months ago on Google • 25 reviews New
The food tends to be on the drier end because of the nature of the “cafeteria” style market and the kitchen equipment used. But lots of variety with everything around $15-25. The drinks at the bar are around ~$15 (some feel more diluted than others). Nonetheless love the vibes, range of foods, movies on Saturdays (for the month of Feb), very awesome social atmosphere. The staff is super sweet at all the vendors, just make sure to clarify what your meal entails before finalizing.

The deep dish pizza slices were immaculate! I would certainly go for round two. Chefs hall was like an elevated experience to a regular food court. All the food bars are worth the try.

Decided to dine here after spending a day enjoying downtown Toronto. They are opened to 10pm and we arrived her close to 8:30pm. Entrance is easily accessible via Richmond Street. The Chef‘s hall is a collection of food stalls that provide quick service delicious meals and friendliness in their service. You can see there is a sense of pride of love for their food from each of the vendors and the selection of food can range from Detroit style pizza slices fresh made pasta poke bowls,Ramen tempura, diner style food like burgers and fries etc. On this occasion we decided to enjoy the restaurant Charcoal Biryani. We Ordered: Chili chicken biryani Lamb Kebab Tandoori chicken Samosas Total $68.00 and food was fresh and super delicious! Atmosphere: Where we chose to sit was near the bar and entrance window facing Richmond as we were watching the game on the huge screens. However there are several tables within the vendor area and opposite end of the hall which included comfortable sofa chairs, barstools and a quieter atmosphere than we were in. Definitely can see this place busy during the day. This is a place where I would enjoy dining again if visited downtown Toronto as I wanted to try the popular tempura Ramen restaurant as well as the Detroit pizza vendor and the one who had deep fried Mars bars! Simple food done right and friendly service always earns a place in my “must return”list!!

I got pesto gnocchi and it was delicious! Perfect texture and tasted so good. The lady serving me was so nice, and I loved the overall aesthetic of the food court. There was also a dj who was doing a trivia, which was fun. There are so many options, lots of diversity, plenty of seating, great decor, and overall such a great experience!

The tacos at Colibri exceeded my expectations by far. They were both flavourful and filling. The shrimp taco was tender and spicy with lots of avocado. The mushroom taco was more sweet with a mole sauce. I would order these again. The dining hall as a whole has lots of seating and food options.

In my opinion the food quality has dropped quite a bit in the past few years, but it also might be the new stores that are opening up and replacing the old ones. I had to wait 45 minutes for my Turkish food on a Saturday 7 p.m. this isn't the greatest experience because my friends were able to get their food from other stores quicker. (Hence the lack of photos) There is a lot of seating one section is closer to the bar so people are lively and have easy access to alcohol and the other section is a little quieter with more privacy.

I have worked in downtown many years. And chefs hall has always been a go to spot to figure out what I want for lunch whenever I cannot make up my mind. They usually have a goods selection of foods, such as fried chicken, burgers, sandwiches, bbt and coffee. During lunch, the service can be slow and can get very crowded. in the evening after work hours, the spot turns into a hall for people to socialize, have a drink and have dinner. Most places can also be found on ritual to order in advance if you don't want to wait.

Chefs Hall is a very cool setup of a variety of food vendors. I really enjoyed the takoyaki from Tempura Keisuke and the tacos from Colibri. Some vendors were closed early, and the hall looked a little empty for a Friday night. Overall, I had a good time and I would recommend when you want a good variety of foods.

Chef's Hall is a culinary destination that offers a variety of cuisines from some of the very best chefs that Toronto has to offer. I attended my company's summer social party here and was impressed by the quality of food and impeccable service. The staff were friendly and attentive and worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had a great time. High praise to Patrick at the bar, Satish and Tiego and two other servers who were really amazing at delivering a truly enjoyable experience. My colleagues and I enjoyed a delicious tasting menu from different cuisines such as Italian, Mexican, Indian etc. Each chef presented their signature dishes with flair and creativity. Charcoal's Cocktail Vegetarian Samosa with Date Chutney & Grateful Lobster Roll were so good, the Spicy Salmon bowl and Hawaiian Haupia from Pokito amazing, really flavorful Roasted Greek Potatoes and Halloumi Souvlaki Skewers from Brochettes Nomades and one of the best pizzas I have tried, Oswald's the Truffle Shuffle with white truffle infused Bechamel sauce, caramelized onion etc. Colibri did not disappoint and of course ran a fantastic Taco Station where I was thrilled to try the delicious Mushrooms Al Pastor with a tasty pineapple Pico de Gallo! Deserts included Pate A Choix Cream Puffs, Palgong Tea Social Blend Macarons and Red Eye"s Nitrogen ice cream were all amazing. Iwami a brand new addition to Chefs Hall is going to elevate Japanese cuisine. Honorable mention to Grateful Chicken, Tempura Keisuke, Grandma Loves You and Osteria Scossa 's fabulous Arancini and Cannolis. Chef's Hall is definitely the perfect place to dine out and host a social event. Thank you to all the staff and excellent chefs that made my company 's summer social party the best one yet!

A fantastic spot for a great selection of non-fast food and local meal options. The space is beautiful and well maintained, with water readily available and soft background music to underscore the experience. A great spot for lunch or dinner, especially with a group!

One of the food vendors in here is a Japanese undo/teriyaki place called Tempura Keisuke. Paid $57 for these two bowls and tasted absolutely disgusting. Every bite of the undo you can taste the ginger dice. I got the beef undo and the beef slice they used is from the Asian market that they used on hotpot with no flavour or whatsoever. Definitely not worth it.

Loved it! Such a cool place. Staff were really friendly and helpful and it was a really good atmosphere too :) I had the chicken and mushroom tacos. The mushroom one was a bit spicier than I was expecting but with sour cream it was fine and really tasty! 😋 (I have a low tolerance for spice unfortunately.)

There was only 2 chefs still serving due to covid. I had a bowl of ramen it was ok but I didn't love it. Would give it a second chance.

I've been going here for lunch all the time before Covid19. This was my first time during Covid and I must say the selection is very limited. My friend ordered Omakase set for us on uber as reserved and when we got there to our reserved table, they did not have our food. They did not inform us of any change and there was no update on uber app as well. ( paid and ready for pick up) very dissatisfied with Tachi. The server on the other hand for the hall was lovely, we ended up having Mexican dishes which were bomb! The tacos were flavorful and the fries were amazing. Definitely shareable as the portion was huge. Recommended for quick grabs for dinner. They do allow dogs for this place which was very nice.

I have frequented Chef's Hall on Friday's and Saturday's and the staff here are nothing but friendly and accommodating. Things have changed since Covid-19, and I would hope people like myself who frequent restaurants would have gained a bit more patience but I guess not. I came on a Friday evening without a reservation and was politely told that I would have to wait for those who had reservations to show up (or not) before I could be seated. No problem! While waiting though, I had never witnessed some people be so impatient and rude to the staff and host. People have forgotten what a waiting list is, how it works and how reservations and grace periods work. I felt bad for the staff. On top of that, people were complaining about wearing masks outside. First off, you only have to wear your mask when leaving your table (this is universal across the City!) Second, the staff did a great job at explaining and repeating this to people who were acting as if its the staff that makes up the rules surrounding covid-19 and wearing masks (kudos to them!) If you want friendly, accommodating service with delicious food, Chef's Hall is the place to visit! But I would suggest making a reservation and leaving your self-entitlement at home instead of throwing a tantrum and being rude to the staff because you have to wait to be seated because you didn't make a reservation. This goes for all establishments, but after what I witnessed on how staff were being treated here and my great experience, I had to write something! The only things I would suggest is now that it is getting cooler, sit inside (if possible) Staff can't control the wind or the weather. Given that the patio is in between 3 tall buildings, you're bound to get some cold weather and winds. Second, someone really needs to clean the accessible bathroom and third, Chef's Hall need to bring back one or two more vendors. Otherwise keep it up!

Originally had a table for 7 and it went down to 5. They were so great to accommodate as we had booked two separate reservations not realizing and then asked for the tables to be combined. Super helpful they were with that. Our host Brandon was absolutely splendid and did everything he could to ensure we had a good time. We ordered a ton of drinks and at the time of this visit the only restaurants open were Mexican and Ramen. Ordered their tacos and the only one that was not good was their fish tacos. The chips from the chips and guac were really hard and seemed burnt. The location is great and the patio is huge. During covid they only had the patio open and the location of the patio is super windy. Bring a jacket even though it's summer. Would totally come back to try the different restaurant options

These guys are hustling right now!!! This place used to be a great spot to grab an assortment of food, from sushi to tacos. But currently because of the restrictions they only serve ramen and tacos. They were also severely understaffed. But hopefully they get that sorted because its a really cool spot

Super cool space. We only ate at Bear Sandwiches so far, but this place is awesome. Both their steak sandwich and toasties (upgraded grilled cheese) are amazing. The chimichurri is to die for! They get 5 stars hands down! The only caveat is the bar that was well equipped and had nice and friendly staff, but a bit disorganized. It felt as if it was their first week in business. Hopefully they get it together soon.

An interesting assortment of resto"s all nestled in the same location. Many options and styles of food to offer. Spacing is a little tight but interesting. If you want a whole bunch of dining options, this place will definitely fit the bill.

Very nice ambience with great vibes, great vibes, only 2 of the food spots were available on the Friday evening. The service was great and we loved the Mexican fries, the chicken karages and guac/chips. I was a little disappointed with the spicy shrimp and spicy mushroom tacos we had ordered, no bang to them but overall good experience (the size of the tacos was impressive though)

Love the location. This time at the Charcoal Biryani spot. Menu is limited which I understand. I ordered the Turkish lamb kebab. A little dry but very tasty! However the portion is so small for the $25 I just spent on it. A little lite on value. See photo.

Decent place for friends and night outs. Food quite good and tasty, though on the expensive side. Service is ok. The concept is interesting but I feel like because of the pandemic it had to be dialed back a bit from the walk and pick style that they go for. Would definitely want to see that reinstated in the future but other than that no major complaints.

  • 4/5 Stephanie Y. 1 year ago on Google
Great idea, lots of sitting space. Used to have a full roster of restaurants and multiple bars but got decimated by the pandemic. Just visited again tonight as I was looking for somewhere I and another could do some work at, grab some food and drinks. I forgot how loud the music can get but that's fine. I hope more restaurants come back. Also the food and drinks are quite premium priced, even for downtown.

  • 4/5 Vishnu R. 1 year ago on Google
Lobe the concept and the location, the food from the Japanse place we trued was pretty good. Drinks selections are minimal if you're after alcohol and a lot of the places were shut when we visited.

I use to frequent this place (pre covid) about 4 times a week as my office is in the building. Needless to say, I won’t ever be back!! The hostess, Kristen/Kirsten needs a 101 on customer service ASAP. Probably one of the most condescending people I have ever encountered. We were told a table would be ready in 10 minutes (for two). While we were waiting for our table to be ready, we ended up seeing our friends (another party of 2). They went to go request a table and was able to be seated right away. As we were completely shocked they were able to get a table with no wait, We went back to the hostess to check in on the status of our table. The hostess (Kristen) proceeded to tell us she didn’t have a chance to tell us there won’t be any tables ready (after waiting 20 mins). The hostess clearly I understand covid has brought a ton of changes to the establishment and many serving staff has been out of work for quite some time and may have ‘’rusty’’ customer service skills as result, but this is NO way to treat any customer. It is even more disappointing that the manager has not returned my phone call after 3 days. If you see a short woman named Kirsten or Kristen at the hostess both, I’d suggest to avoid this establishment at all costs. Save your money and go visit somewhere else close by.
