The quality of food was good but there was a little problem that I had and made me upset regarding my experience in this cafe. An amount of 18% tip is already included and you can't modify it even if you are not satisfied with the service. I ordered brunch omelette and my friend ordered three cheese omelette, the waitress gave me my friend's dish (which is three cheese) and I realized it when I already ate the salad, so we couldn't change our plates. After I told the waitress that our plates were misplaced, she said, I'm sorry but I can't modify the tips and 18% is already included. I was not happy with my experience in the cafe, the service was not good (at least as not good as 18% tip) but the quality of food was good.

Had a pretty brutal experience here yesterday. The worst part was finding a long, curly black hair embedded in the lasagne. 🤢 The second worst part was ordering the truffle mushroom pizza only to have absolutely no truffle flavour in the pizza whatsoever and then be told that the mushrooms on the pizza were truffles. LOL. Look at the photo and judge it for yourself. Those are brown button, or best case, creminis. There was no truffle oil or any other kind of truffle flavour. Just mushrooms and pepperoni. Could've gone to Pizza Pizza instead. Despite the giant hair and lack of truffle they didn't comp anything but only offered us free dessert. To be fair, the pecan pie was quite good, so I guess that's what the one star is for. The sampler appetizer also seemed poorly thought out and thrown together. Nothing was very good except the hummus, which tasted homemade. They also squeezed us onto their extremely tight, inaccessible patio because their rooftop patio wasn't open. They also brought two of the three dishes to the table and made us wait like 20 minutes for the third dish. Finally, service was terrible. When I arrived no one greeted me and finally someone looks over at the host stand and says, "you okay?" as their first words to me. After that delightfully warm greeting, our server did not bring us plates, cutlery, napkins or anything until we asked for it. She was apologetic about the hair but it didn't quite make up for the experience. They also rarely ever came to check on us or if we needed anything. Just a major disappointment overall and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

For fans of Smith (and Wish) who miss their food, thank your lucky stars that 7 West continues to be firmly planted on Charles Street. Everything here exceeded my expectations. The decor is cozy and Victorian and they open up their little romantic balcony when the weather is warm. The service is incredibly quick even when the little restaurant is packed. And the dishes are huge. The warm french toast was a perfect comfort food dish and the avocado toast is served with a huge side salad. The best part? It’s open 24 hours. We walked in and were immediately seated at 12 noon on a Saturday.

If this place wasn’t 24/7, it would be reviewed lower. Came here off whim around dinner time and was met with a pleasant atmosphere and options to sit on the multiple floors of the restaurant, so started off well. Things just went down hill from there. Friends and I started off with the nachos with added chicken, and was met with the photo below. This doesn’t look like restaurant nachos, this looks like something a group college roommates put together at 3am. The chicken looked like canned chicken and when my friend posted the food on their story, another friend couldn’t even tell what it was that we were eating. Then onto our main dishes, one friend ordered the mac and cheese (not pictured) and it was alright, but myself and another friend ordered the Lasagna because the photos from other visitors looked great. What we were presented was a mess of a dish, sloshed in sauce covering overcooked lasagna noodles layered on top of each other, of which some bites were even lukewarm. Once again, I think a college kid in their dorm could have made this dish. Overall a very mediocre experience. I would not recommend this place unless it was the only thing open within 10km.

Great food but odd service. We went at 12 pm to each lunch, clearly lunchtime. They served us dinner food without telling us they were doing that and charged us extra. Then they refused to accept accountability on their part that they are in charge of telling customers that they'll be serving them dinner at lunchtime. We did argue to be charged the lunch amount, and they eventually did correct their own mistake, but they were rude and didn't show professional behavior. Unfortunately, it really turned us off the place for the future.

I have been to 7 west a few times. The food is always good and the cocktails are incredible. I highly recommend the 7 west martini. The first time I went, I saw that almost everyone around me was ordering pizza. Hence, I went back to get the pizza. I must say that it was worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The servers were also very sweet.

Tasty food that is on the slightly higher price range but not crazy. So a good place to go to if you want better quality than your standard restaurant but not the up scale location. Atmosphere is casual and very homey. Not casual like a suburban chain restaurant. Staff is mostly okay. Competent and aware but not overly attentive to be annoying.

This resto has been around for a while now. It is a popular late night eatery ( 24 hrs. ) with the university / hip crowd. The brunch menu only is in effect from 10AM-3PM. The food and the portions are fabulous. The drinks can accompany many of their dishes here. I had the steak and eggs 🥚 and it was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly. The portions were generous. The fries were fresh and delish. The service is friendly and attentive. The setting in a “ Edwardian “ home 🏠 from a time long since gone is nostalgic and charming. This is not my first visit and it will not be my last 😀. Happy Eats everyone 😎

This place is super cozy - would highly recommend you coming during the holidays! They have lovely little decorations out, and it just feels warm and jolly inside. The food is decent and decently priced and the service is great. I’ve been here a couple of times and remember the breakfast being pretty good. I recently went and got some chocolate cake and coffee, which were both delicious. All in all, a pleasant experience. Come during the holidays with a date!

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Taste and portion is what you pay for BUT they automatically charge 18% tips which is absolutely not right because one no one informed us upon entrance nor when we ordered food, two simply because I went in as a group of two and customers are not obligated to pay tips in Ontario unless it’s a gratuity. Was very excited about the strawberry cheesecake waffles but they came out soggy.

Personally I wouldn't come back lol: Red velvet was so dry it was worse than grocery store leaving it out for a while. However the staff was very very accommodating. She did kinda make us try another tho despite initially not really wanting to. I guess she did good as a server up selling haha. But then the apple crumble pie we gambled on was ice cold despite trying to warm it up. It wasn't thorough. Honestly eating random stuff at home would've been better. She did come by to ask if it was better but we didn't want to complain again. Open 24 hrs tho so that's nice and i guess you can't expect too much out of these places. Though for the price points and atmosphere, you'd think you could.... And we went around midnight so it wasn't like it was the only option, nor was it so late that staff would be excused for it. Limonade was also overly powerful but they're lucky I like my sours I guess. Service was amicable which is the only reason it's a 2 star. Food was crazy bad tho I can't even lie.

Went for Sunday brunch and had a lovely time. I had been there for dinner years prior to my recent visit but at that time i wasn't very impressed so I never bothered despite living so close. However the brunch turned out tasty and we left content. The gentleman who served our table was kind. Would love to go back for another brunch.

While the prices may be on the higher side, the experience at this restaurant is absolutely worth it. We had the pleasure of trying their vegetarian omelette and salmon dishes, and both were exceptionally fresh and delicious. The cozy and intimate ambiance of the restaurant adds extra charm to the dining experience.

Dunno how I feel about this pizza. Felt kind of deflated upon seeing it. Wasn't even warm, although that could have been the delivery guy. Once I reheated it, it tasted alright. Just wish it had more pepperoni.

Nice atmosphere but it’s definitely overpriced for the food quality. We ordered pork ribs, penne pasta and spaghetti and all of them were very dry and flavourless. But the portions were HUGE. We ended up taking half of them home. We were there at 7pm on Monday and going to pizza originally but the server said their pizza were unavailable. But in the middle of our dinner, we saw other group of table was having pizza. Not sure if we went there in a bad time or what but it was a bummer for sure.

+ It has a nice and cozy atmosphere. + The menu is diverse. + 24/7 + Welcoming staff + Delicious food and acceptable portions. - Overpriced food. - Not generous in alcohol ratio of cocktails. - Not very serious in Covid protocols. No proof of vaccination check.

Came here for the 2nd time after a club night and food is better than no food! Lol. “Always open” 24/7 spot that’s apparently known for their pasta. I tried the Rose Ravioli and it was good (smaller portion than the other pastas but not too heavy) 👌🏽 Pretty quick service too! Ps. Most items ~$20.

I have been to a few brunch spots, but really enjoyed the experience here. The restaurant itself is sort of a converted home type feel, very cozy vibe. I got a seat on the middle floor overlooking a window which added to the experience. When I tried my food I was blown away, the quality of the meat was phenomenal. The home fries were tasty and the brunch was not typical at all. What's even better is that this restaurant is open virtually 24/7. If you're ever downtown hanging late night or early morning, definitely a great spot to grab a bite. Looking forward to trying their other offerings.

I was enticed to try this place on Ubereats because of the reviews and offered promotions. What a mistake that was! The BLT (that was supposed to come in “grain bread” arrived on soggy whole wheat toast with 1 miniscule tendril of soggy lettuce and 2 small slices of tomato, both being end cuts. The thickness of the bread alone was thicker than this so called sandwich! The Mac and Cheese was literally a bowl of noodles with a flour and water paste. I can’t even call it a sauce! The cheese was obviously never meant to be an ingredient! There were no spices or anything to add flavour. Even adding 2 cups of shredded cheese at home couldn’t help it! A box of KD is more satisfying and actually has flavour! Was this a one-off!?? I sure hope so for the sake of the business owner! I rarely take the time to leave such an extensive review, but please: fix your dishes or take away the 2 for 1 deal if you can’t create/send them properly. I wish you all the best, but I am a truly disappointed beyond belief customer.

We received terrible service from an Asian server. He did not check our food for missing items, didn't bring us any water, and intentionally neglected us. He should not be working as a server, as he lacks the basic skills for serving tables.

Was looking for a bite to eat at late hours and stumbled upon 7 West Cafe. 7 West is open 24hrs, it definitely hit the spot and was very much needed. I had the Steak and Eggs and my girlfriend had the All time Breakfast, I will say the Nachos were not the greatest and the steak tasted very bland but my overall experience at 7 West Cafe still deserved 5 stars. Thank you so much will be returning.

Not going to lie, the food is good, but average, I’ll be back to give it another go and find the hidden gems on this menu… Other than that, service from Abdullah was spectacular, he went above and beyond which i appreciated a lot. The place is super cute inside and outside. Highly recommended

Had a great experience! Great hangover place with drinks - not overly priced, but not cheap either, and cute. Love the chill music that’s calming and light in the morning. Fries were crispy ( I’m picky about my fries) and they can substitute if they have it. We will be coming again!

My partner and I stopped in early in the morning for breakfast at this place, 7 west cafe. Our hotel is very close so we googled restaurants that were open for breakfast and we chose this one and we were not disappointed. We both got the breakfast special which I think is the all of the time breakfast which is only $10 between 6 and 9:00 a.m. the value of what we received for the price we paid is outstanding! I actually recommend they increase the price of the special because at $10 they're only making pennies on a breakfast. Breakfast includes eggs cooked how you like, fries, toast, a choice of bacon or sausage, and coffee. I think it's supposed to come with fruit but ours came with a pancake instead. Compared to the other breakfasts available in the area, this has to be hands down the cheapest, best breakfast around. The inside of the cafe is quaint, with earth tones, wood furniture, and wood floors. Delightful french music in the dining area. Our servers were thorough and came to check on us. I have no complaints about any of the food. The only criticism I could offer is that I feel like the furniture is a little old and I think the floors could benefit from a buffing. I will return

Food was yummy.. But prices and portions could be a little more reasonable. It did taste like elevated bar food but I don't think it's value for money. They definitely capitalize on being open 24/7. Mac and cheese was good.. I prefer the cheese to be more gooey, less chunky. Also had the prosciutto sandwich. Side of fries (upgraded to poutine) was so small. Our friend seemed to like their bruschetta. Would only come back if no other choice around.

Convenient for late night eats, really nice ambiance inside and staff is super friendly. Our food came quickly and nice music played in the background. Bacon mushroom burger is great, lasagna was fresh, but the Philly cheesesteak was not the greatest. Thick cut fries here are to die for!

7 West is a restaurant I stumbled upon at 4 in the morning. I was looking for a place to eat and it was a nice spot to find open at such a late hour. The food itself was not the best we've ever had, but it was still good. The portions were large and it was satisfying to have a late night meal together. Overall, 7 West is a great option for a late-night bite. Pictured is the steak and eggs and nachos.

Loved the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I also like the fact that they are open almost 24/7. I tried the 7 West poutine and the tuna melt sandwich + caesar salad. The food was ok. A bit overpriced for what you're getting. The waitress did mention that the 18% gratuity was included in our bill which I didn't mind since the service was great.

Overall good pasta with LARGE PORTIONS! Worth the price. We ordered: - Mac n Cheese: 8/10 Very, very cheesy and filling! No meat though, just pasta and cheese. (I think you can add on) - Lasagna: 7/10 Sauce was light and easy to eat, the tomatoes used tasted fresh. The pasta layers were too soft for my liking). Overall, taste was good, nothing super special but I'd come back if I were craving reliable, large portioned pasta dishes. The service was rather slow... they did not give us water for the first 10min, we had to ask for a jug. However, we did come while it was full for Valentine's dinner.

I really liked the place. It was cozy and very anesthetic with candles and decor. The menu had so many options. I went for deserts I tried red velvet and Belgian chocolate slices and ceasar cocktail. It was really great quality food and the quantity was very satisfying too. The staff was very polite and welcoming.

Uff I really love this place but last time I ordered had a pretty crappy experience. I used Uber and got a couple pastas and a salad. The Caesar salad had a fly in it, I found it on the top the sec I opened the box. Uber refuse to refund the item, messaged 7 west on insta and no response. $18 salad went to garbage and no one to talk to. Please wash your lettuce guys. Besides that, I generally love the vibe, service is ok, food normally is good.

The food is good. I ordered pasta with white sauce and there was no salt in it. The chicken was large and could not be eaten in one bite, but in general it was delicious and the service was okay. The general atmosphere of the restaurant was very excellent, as if you were dining in beautiful Parisian restaurants. I loved the details, decor, lighting and music very much. Come, everyone, visit this gorgeous place and enjoy that it is open 24 hours😍

This little gem let's you get real close and personal with the space and food. Cute decor, attentive staff and magical chefs. Menu was full of fantastic options that were balanced in price and I loved the large servings. Will go again, best to keep your group minimal to maximize on the space.

One of my fav spots in the yonge/bloor area. Great ambiance, chill vibe. An old house turned hipster cafe-bar. Known for their desserts but I have to say their spring rolls were THE BEST I’ve ever had. Worth the $13. My date had a chicken sandwich which looked great but they said was a bit dry. Still, will be back soon.

Stumbled upon this place when me and the friends were looking for a cafe to warm us up. Thankful it was open later than the rest of the restaurants in the area. It had a little patio out front, and we’re playing some throwback songs like Sean Kingston. Ordered some dessert and lattes. Both were great, and reasonably priced for the portion you get. Service was good, and tip was automatically included in the food price. Will be coming back :)

I loved 7 West.. 20 years ago. My trip back was to support it's survival during the pandemic, because it was such a gem. It was a stand out due several floors, eclectically and cozy, simple but creative and well excuted menu. And open after closing time (when it was 1am). I only had time for an espresso... which I enjoyed, on their quaint street-patio in the sunshine. I wouldn't recommend it if you were looking for an exceptional espresso. Gotta go try the food again - I remember the bruschetta and the open-face tuna sandwich being very good.

A very quaint and historic vibe. We ordered the pasta salad and arugula salad. Both were delicious. Service was good. Food came quickly. We were there about 6pm. It's very close quarters with diners sitting next to each other if all tables are full. This cafe is not limited mobility or wheelchair accessible.

Service here was awesome, friendly and fast. A solid place for sandwiches, soup, pizza and pasta dishes with some good cocktails. There's 3 floors so lots of space and we were seated right away when we talked in. Fries are nice and thick, prosciutto sandwich wasn't overly salty. The chicken breast was dry but dunking it in the creamy tomato soup helped fix that. The soup was delicious too. The pulled pork sandwich had a nice sweetness to it and though the Montreal smoked meat was piled high like Montreal style its a solid sandwich for Toronto. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat that doesn't break the bank and hits the hunger spot, this is it. Only thing I'd say is that it's really dark inside such that we had to angle the menus towards the kitchen light to read it. Would like it better if the lighting were brighter, would help lighten up the ambiance

This place was highly recommended to me & I must say I totally love how their open 24 hours. As soon as you walk in you feel like you’ve entered into a European restaurant. Its gives homey & romantic vibes. The food was delicious but sadly the service was slacking. Ingredients to the meal was missing, however just because of one mistake I definitely see myself coming back & trying it again.

Love love this restaurant great atmosphere very ambient. With three dining levels there is plenty of space and different options. White sangria is to die for and the pastas are really good. The atmosphere is really nice, people laughing enjoying and always a good mix of people and personalities. Servers are always nice as well, no complaints my only advice is do not get the bruschetta it’s really bad. It’s also open 24hrs, huge bonus.

Meals we ordered for dinner were ok at best (except my wife's salad which she said was really good), and service was terrible... Waitress (eventually) took our order, brought out food, then disappeared until handing us cheque with mandatory tip :/ I'm all for generous tipping for good food and good service but this was far from either.

My husband and I stumbled upon this hidden gem, and we pleasantly surprised! We went there on a sunday morning after watching the sunrise at polson pier, and the vibes were immaculate! They were blasting Rihanna tracks, and it was the perfect start to our morning! We were surprised at the food portions and presentation, as we had ordered simple meals. Our waiter was also awesome! Definitely recommend this place!
