Loved our meal so much! Tried the classic beef and LA ribs bibimbap. Both were delicious. The Bong Bong drink was lovely - sweet and lots of grape flavour. Highly recommend getting some kimchi to take home!

Amazing dishes!!!! Pretty large menu and the food was SO GOOD!! Large portions and highest quality meats and veggies. Tasted so fresh and delicious. It can be a bit pricey, but for the portion size and taste, it was worth it. The waitress was so kind too, and even when she got my order wrong, she gave me extra bulgogi for my bibimbap to compensate. I highly recommend this place, and please come hungry! You will not finish if you are not hungry because it’s truly a lot of food.

I had a fantastic meal at this restaurant and will definitely be going back for some excellent Korean food! I really loved the banchan that comes with every meal, especially the kimchi. Also very impressed lively atmosphere and good covid safety protocol!!

Quick service, delicious foods with good quantity. The Japchae was so flavorful and the spicy tteokbokki was not too spicy.

The food was very tasty, lots of small side dishes !. the service was fast what really made this remarkable is the owner ( we think?) Who came in to explain each plate, show us that they share recepies on insta. The attention and care really made this an experience.

Service was greeeeat, everyone is so friendly and responsive. Food was also delish, fresh, hot and comes in the correct serving sizes according to the price. The restaurant itself is clean and well located. The only thing that wasn't great was how close the tables were to each other; I got to hear lots of juicy gossip about my dining neighbor's ex boyfriend though.

Update 2/22 Review below still stands. Amazing as ever. Old review We're from out of town and happen to be with some other friends from way further away. First, great service, very friendly, made us feel welcome. Food was fresh and quick. Very tasty. This was the first in restaurant try of Korean food for 2 of us and were both quite happy we went. Very yummy, very well prepared, this place will be a regular visit when we come to Toronto. I don't normally like Kimchi, but theirs is great, quite tasty. 5 stars all day!

Really great quality food! Everything is really well executed and you can taste all the love that goes into the food Mama Lee makes. 🥰 Both takeout and dine in have been great experiences! Looking forward to going back.

This is the best Korean food I've had since I last visited South Korea. The classic bibimbap was excellent and reminded me of Jeonju. They were generous with the side dishes as well as the main course. The service is outstanding and my wife and I will definitely be back.

Very good classic Korean restaurant! 👌 Good prices - excellent food - superior service! You get 4 banchan (side dishes) and a fresh tofu appetizers bite/amuse bouche. We ordered the seafood tofu soup (haemul soon dubu jjiage) - regular spicy and extra spicy. The extra spicy was soo good - I was sweating from my scalp! Yeaaaa... The service here was incredible- extremely attentive and fast! Pefect for a busy lunch hour. Will go again - I am Korean and will recommend to my sister & mom when they visit me. If a Korean will recommend to a Korean- it's a MUST TRY restaurant! 🙌💯 One draw back - no fresh egg to drop inside. But you get 4 huge mussels & 1 large shrimp & squid pieces. Very good not oily. Already thinking when we can go back for lunch again! 😛❤️✌️

We live in the neighbourhood and have loved this spot since they first opened. During the pandemic they make it easy for us to enjoy their delicious menu at home. Love how well everything is packed so we can easily warm things if needed. Food stayed warm until we got home too, which is always nice. Kimchi pancakes are my kids' favourites!

The food was very tasty and the staff were ALL very helpful. The waitress' recommendations on sharing plates were great and we ended up ordering a couple of different dishes and some appetizers. The gyoza and the japchae were very good. The beef bulgogi was okay, and the portion is massive so heads up. If you're getting the bulgogi you can easily share it between two to three people. Really liked the way they present their chopsticks, napkins, and spoon. See pictures.

I ordered spicy beef soup. It came with rice too. The meat is good, and the broth is good too. It includes potatoes noodles in the soup too. The site dishes are good, but they don’t have seaweeds.

Absolutely incredible. I order take out during COVID-19. Always wanted to try this restaurant Dine-in and finally we did. Restaurant environment - typical Korean restaurant environment. Nice and clean - 4 star Food - spicy beef and the Beef ribs are the BEST in this restaurant. Must try! Service - This is a big one, heres why. Aside from the friendliness, the waiter and waitress are super thoughtful. When the waiter saw my 4 year old, instantly he turn around, and my first thought was, “why is he leaving with our water”, then I realize he went back to the back and grab a mini plastic cup and change all her cutlery and her water without me asking for it. This type of service from a Korean restaurant is definitely exceeded my expectations and gave me the WOW moment. - 5 stars!

I can only say that the Kimchi House in Toronto is a restaurant where you can find some authentic Korean cuisine, friendly service, and reasonable prices. We enjoyed the variety of dishes, including the bibimbap, and bulgogi. I was impressed to find out that although a busy place, the restaurant was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommended Kimchi House for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Korean dining experience.

Great place to eat! Amazing prices for what you get. I ordered the beef bibimbap and it came with a free tofu app, miso soup, sides! Service is fantastic, and the restaurant very clean. Will return.

The atmosphere was okay, and the staff were very nice and professional, the food however, was not good at all. We ordered Bulgogi and Spicy beef soup. Bulgogi was tender but if was so sweet and greasy we didnt like it at all, after bulgogi we couldn’t taste any sweetness in our drinks (coke and ginger ale). Also for the spicy beef soup, a bad smell of overcooked egg dominated the smell and taste of the food…

We had an outstanding lunch experience! Since it was a hot summer day, I ordered cold noodles and my wife went with her go-to favorite that any new Korean restaurant we are trying, gamjatang. Both dishes were prepared beautifully. The pork bone soup was full of flavor and generously topped with perilla seeds. The cold noodles were very refreshing on this hot Summer's day. For a drink I ordered a house made sikhye. It was my first time trying just fermented rice and malt drink and I enjoyed it very much. The staff is super friendly and helpful in making recommendations good for sure we will come back next time we are in this part of town!

It all started with my neighbour gave me this bottle of kimchi. When I did my research, it took me to this place. We had dinner and the owner, Mrs. Lee came over to our table. We had a chat a bit and she gave me this two new pickle me us to try. What a delightful person! Their food was absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong ordering anything. I ended up with two bottles of their kimchi. Definitely will come again!

Went to Kimchi Korea House after the vaccine requirement was announced. They checked the vaccine status and sat you in a table that is sanitized. Probably the best Korean restaurant in downtown Toronto. Quality and presentation of the food are top notch and the portion is very generous. Banchan (side dish) is delicious and they offer refill as well.

Great place to get Korean dishes; the staff is friendly, and the food service was quick and delicious. We ordered the spicy pork platter, seafood, bibimbap, and Kimchi stew. For appetizers, we had seafood pancakes. All in all I recommend this restaurant.

I truly adore this restaurant. Whenever I'm craving comfort food, I know to plan my day solely around eating here. You can tell the amount of care and consideration that has gone into every detail. I've never had a bad meal here and it's nice to have this restaurant in my Rolodex of reliable restaurants. Mama Lee herself is a delight and always have her Kimchi on hand at home.

I love this place! Been going here for years! The food is really good and the service is great. The servers are very attentive and friendly. You get some side dishes (Banchan) before your meal that are really yummy. I highly recommend the pork bone soup (but only if you can handle spice because there is no option to adjust the spice level). The server will also let you know that the dish comes spicy so that you are not in for a surprise. I also really like the seafood rice cakes with cheese as an added topping. The bibimbap is also very flavourful. In summary, I definitely recommend this restaurant :)

always passed by this place and finally decided to stop by for dinner! the place was quite full on a saturday evening, so we had to wait outside for our table. thankfully, the wait was not long at all! service was great-- servers were very friendly and attentive as well! — the side dishes were all very delicious, especially the japchae and spinach! helped curb our hunger before our main entrees came hehe :) we ordered a classic veggie bibimbap, seafood tteokbokki (with added noodles), and a vegetable tempura. the veggie bibimbap was perfect for the rainy day! especially loved how the bibimbap sauce was in a bottle so i could add as much as i wanted! it was a little on the sweeter side though, and i wish it was a little spicier. also really enjoyed the seafood tteokbokki! the rice cakes were perfectly chewy and there was a good amount of seafood!! however, the vegetable tempura was a little disappointing, as the veggies seemed a little undercooked and the batter was quite thin. the dipping sauce was delicious though! — the portions were great-- we were both very full afterwards. i would say that everything is on the pricier side, but overall quite worth it!

We had a really nice experience dining here. The orders we had are the following: Stir Fried Squid ($24.95), Sweet & Sour Pork ($18.95), and Takoyaki ($13.95). They all turned out well. Their take on the Sweet & Sour Pork was a welcome surprise. I was initially expecting it to be the same as the type you get from Chinese restaurants. Here it is different, but equally good. The only inconvenience I had, if I do have to mention one was that there was no waiting area indoors. Our group of 3 people had to wait outside in the cold for a bit while waiting for the receptionist to call us back inside once a table for 3 becomes available. I do understand from their end about the limitations of store design, layout, and space. It is not much of an issue though, and me and my friends still had a memorable dinner.

Service and atmosphere themselves weren’t bad but the food was. Me and 3 other friends all got separate dishes and all of them were disappointing. I got the spicy beef soup and it barely came with any noodles, and it tasted like watered down shin noodles. It was also in a rather small bowl and costed around $22. One of my friends could barely even get through half of their dishes. Also, they only did free refills for 2 side dishes, which isn’t the worst but the side dishes themselves weren’t even that good. The potato had a weird texture and the kimchi didn’t have much flavour, same with the other dishes. The only side dish I liked was the glass noodles.

Walking in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and hellos. The place was busy but they were accommodating to our big group of 8. The service was fast and the servers were attentive. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, pork bone soup, bulgogi and kimchi bibimbap. The sweet and sour pork was crispy, and the sauce was a bit more on the sweet side. The pork bone soup was spicy with a rich flavour. It was a bit salty but pork bone soup has always been a favourite of mine, and this was one hit my craving in the right spot. The bulgogi was very tender and well marinated with a sweet soy marinade. The kimchi bibimbap was delicious with Mama Lee’s famous kimchi. They only give one round of side dishes for free, and you get two side dishes for free once the first round is finished. After that, there’ll be a fee. Their kimchi, sweet potatoes and bean sprouts side dishes were great. Overall, this restaurant is busy but I’d love to come back again.

First time visit (lunch,12pm). Gets busy quickly, friendly efficient staff. I had the spicy beef soup (pictured), which comes with rice on the side -be warned it is very spicy and its a BIG bowl! Expect to pay around $20-$30 per person including tax.

Had a delightful sit-down meal with my son at this gem of a restaurant. It was our first experience with Korean cuisine. The server was very friendly and helpful as she answered all of our questions and provided good guidance on our food selections. The meal was delicious and the portions (mains) were very generous. The atmosphere was great too. Will definitely visit again when back in town.

Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. Ordered the Spicy Pork Bone Soup and Bulgogi. Only downside was they only offer 2 free refills for the Banchan (not 2 free per individual Banchan) and after if you want more, they charge $2 per refill which in my opinion is too expensive for something so little

  • 4/5 knws_foodi 4 months ago on Google
Love the appetizers! The kimchi, tofu, vegetables were all yummy! Ordered a tufu soup with beef, the tofu were soft and smooth! The soup was a bit spicy. As I entered around 4 something, there were not many people. Love the atmosphere.

We went there on a weekend. It’s quite busy during weekends and estimated wait time was around 30 mins - 45 mins. However, they were able to seat us in 15 mins. Safety measures are in place accordance with the Covid protocols. Fast and friendly service, good food. Recommended🌟

Food is good, I ordered Pork bone soup because this is what I usually order in other restaurants. Kimchi is sweet type. Service is exceptional, this is what makes me want to go back more than the food. The price is pricey compared to other Korean restaurants in Spandia, but they have enough people to serve you. Also, the place and food look decent. Very clean dining area.

  • 4/5 Jamie P. 9 months ago on Google
Food is quite yummy but they are a bit cheap on side dishes…not unlimited refill - only 2 of your choice is free to refill. The rest you will have to pay extra if you want refill which is kinda weird for Korean restaurants

  • 5/5 Chan C. 1 year ago on Google
Owner is very friendly and personable. Loved the all side dishes, especially the cucumber, kimchi and potatoes. All the food tasted amazing! Will definitely come back.

  • 5/5 Pauline S. 8 months ago on Google
Great vegetarian options! They labelled them clearly on the menu. Side dishes were super delicious but we can only refill 2/6 of them once for free.

  • 5/5 Prima Melissa D. 1 year ago on Google
Delicious food and fantastic service! I tried the Pork bibimbap and my friend tried the mushroom bibimbap with egg. While mine was very tasty and suited my palate very well, the mushroom bibimbap surprised me - amazing flavour there! The side dishes were a big plus and needless to say, we called for a second round of the potatoes, the cucumber kimchi and the kimchi. The servers were very helpful and quick with clearing empty dishes from the tables and made sure to check if we're doing okay and if we needed anything. Will definitely come back to try the rest of the dishes! 10/10 recommend!

  • 4/5 James L. 1 year ago on Google
Nice place with a cozy atmosphere. The prices looked high at first glance but the portions are pretty huge so it's actually fairly reasonable - you can probably get two meals out of each entree. Bibimbap and tteokbokki were yummy, and the calamari was BIG and nicely fried. Service was pretty impressive especially since we were there at a pretty busy time. Don't forget to take advantage of the two free refills on the banchan!
