Summerlicious at Bosk! Beef Carppico has too much mustard which was overpowered. Pickerel was flaky, wish there was more sauce. Duck Confit was the best! Crispy skin and the meat was tender. Desserts were average.

Late night cocktails with a group of 8 with no prior reservation. Well done! Loved the comp nuts and spicy cheese crunchy snacks. Reasonable price for off menu cocktails and pours of premium bourbon.

We came for Winterlicious and our first time trying. The food are excellent. I would say the pork belly main course is the best dish of the 3 course menu. The pork belly is crunchy and the side dish on the plate goes quite well together! The cabbage side dish is tangy so it nicely balanced out the pork belly meat taste. I like this dish. Must try! 🙂 The service was ok. We need to ask for refill of water and for the whole meal, water is refilled only once and we need to ask for it. When paying the bill, seems abit weird we are presented with the credit card machine first before giving us the bill first. And then the credit card payment receipts was thrown on the table instead of handing to us as normal business courtesy IMO.. So i give this visit a 4 star instead of 5 stars overall.

We reserved a dinner table during Winterlicious. I came here with my husband for a date night and was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. The bread was Soo good. The meal was perfect! I can’t get over the dessert, Chocolate Intense! OMG. It was heavenly. Not only would I come back but I highly recommend the experience. Our waitress was very attentive, and helpful. Thank you!

Excellent friendly staff and service. Delicious eloquently prepared food. The lamb and halibut were particularly tasty, and goes very well with an added side of seasonal mushrooms. Their appetizers are also quite nice and comes in bite size portions, with very crisp flavours. They also have their own very pleasant flavour of butter served with bread while you wait. A patio with heated lamps and a live DJ makes the outdoor seating area a particularly warm and cozy atmosphere. The inside seating area is also very chic and classy. Its good for an upscale group outing, or dinner for two.

I visited the restaurant three times this fall/winter, once in October, once in November and once in January, all for weekend brunch. Located on the ground floor of the Shangri-La Hotel, the restaurant serves elevated and filling food in a modern environment and a rather easy going vibe without the elevated price tag of a fine dining brunch/lunch establishment. The restaurant doesn’t seem to be overly busy for brunch; during all three visits, I did not make reservations and was still seated right away. I’ve tried their French toast, pancake and croque madame, and they were just splendid! They were not your ordinary French toast, pancake or croque madame; the extra ingredients and East Asia inspirations will really delight your taste bud if you enjoy sweet things. Plus, they were served on beautiful plates/bowls, which added to the dining experience. The French press coffee was excellent. And just as amazing as the food was the service. The staff members were courteous and attentive, and the level of professionalism and care they deliver is notches up other brunch restaurants. Additionally, the female waitresses are dressed in beautiful qipao dresses, adding a cultural flair. An outstanding brunch experience! (I also noticed that the menu changed slightly during my second visit, as the French toast was in a different style - only incentivizing my visiting again!)

Went for the Winterlicious Lunch. The salad to start was delicious, the dressing is very tangy and the candied pecans were phenomenal. Got the pork main and chocolate dessert, both of which were quite good. Friends got the fish main and thought it was not very flavourful. Good service, the ambiance is very nice and overall a great Winterlicious experience.

Pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my breakfast here. Top notch service (as expected). The banana bread French toast was one of the best French toasts I’ve had. It wasn’t heavy at all, nor was it super sweet. It was delightfully light accompanied with caramelized bananas. Great recommendation by the server. Really enjoyed the omelette too. I’d come here over another over-rated brunch spot any time! Doesn’t hurt to chill out in the lobby later with your coffee and listen to the afternoon pianist.

Went here for brunch and had a great afternoon. The room is stunning. I had the avocado eggs benedict and dim sum brunch buffet. The buffet itself is worth the visit hands down. Steaming crab legs, quiche, chocolate bread pudding, fresh fruits, yogurt parfait, smoothies, it goes on and on! There was live music which was a nice touch, though we felt the music could have been a bit quieter. A really special place. Will be planning my next visit soon!

Overall Good Experience. The Food was okay compared to price but I would not visit there again for sure since the food felt a bit too overpriced for me. But we enjoyed everything there except the music. We ordered the Foie Gras Pate, Crispy Chicken Ballotine and Cape D'OR Salmon along with a bottle of Wine. The Foie Gras was amazing. My friend said the Salmon was not up to his expectation. The Chicken for me was okay a bit dry if I may say so, nothing extraordinary. The Wine was great though it was from a local Winery I think.

Experience and food is on par with that you'd expect from a luxury hotel in the heart of Toronto - good consistent food and service but nothing mind blowing. The dishes were well plated and average to good on the taste spectrum. Menu was small but had a good variety of selections between the dishes. Nothing hit out of the park in terms or flavour but nothing missed either.

I recently had a delightful dining experience at Bosk, located inside the prestigious Shangri-La hotel. I visited during the Summerlicious menu event and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. To begin, the beef carpaccio and corn soup were the perfect starters. The beef carpaccio was thinly sliced and tender, while the corn soup was creamy with a hint of sweetness. For the main course, we opted for the duck confit and pickerel. The duck confit had a crispy skin and succulent, flavorful meat that melted in my mouth. The pickerel was perfectly cooked, flaky, and seasoned to perfection. To top it off, the dessert selection was a true treat. Each dessert was carefully crafted and truly hit the spot. The portions throughout the meal were just right, leaving us satisfied and yet still wanting more. What truly stood out about Bosk was the overall atmosphere. It was quaint, quiet, and had an exclusive ambiance that made the evening feel extra special. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable which added to the experience. Highly recommend Bosk at the Shangri-La for an unforgettable dining experience.

I quite enjoy Bosk, especially before a show. There is a very nice pre-theatre special and usually some great music. This time there was a wonderful guitarist singing Sara Bareilles type music. She was terrific. We had some chick pea fries and a fluke salad. The halibut was tasty though slightly overcooked. The dessert was thoughtful and came with a birthday message as requested. The wine list is quite nice - priced on the high side - but given the atmosphere - acceptable. Service was excellent. Seating was comfortable and as mentioned, the music gives the restaurant a really special feel.

I am delighted to share my heartfelt experience at Bosk, the exceptional restaurant where my daughter had her first unforgettable fancy 3-course dinner. As a parent of a child with severe food allergies, finding a restaurant that caters to her specific needs is always a challenge. However, Bosk exceeded our expectations in every way. Right from our initial contact, both through phone calls and emails, the team at Bosk were incredibly understanding and accommodating. They took the time to carefully note down the extensive list of allergies my daughter has, including wheat, gluten, egg, milk, peanut, tree nuts, sesame, ginger, flaxseed, and strawberry. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the staff had already prepared a printed copy of the instructions regarding my daughter's allergies. They not only understood the importance of her safety but also went above and beyond to explain in detail which dishes were suitable for her. The dining experience began with the first course, an exquisite Heirloom tomato and watermelon salad. Not only was it visually stunning, but the flavors were also a perfect harmony of freshness and taste. The chef's meticulous attention to detail truly shone through. For the main course, my daughter savored the Lake Erin Pickerel. The fish was exceptionally fresh, boasting a mild flavor reminiscent of the ocean. Its tender texture, combined with the delightful crunch of the perfectly cooked skin, created a truly delightful dish. The accompanying tomato sauce added a touch of perfection to the entire ensemble. Now, when it came to dessert, the set menu options unfortunately didn't align with my daughter's dietary restrictions. However, the chef demonstrated their genuine dedication to customer satisfaction. They graciously offered my daughter a choice between a refreshing raspberry sorbet or a fruit cup. This unexpected gesture not only delighted my daughter but also reinforced our trust in Bosk as a go-to dining destination for our family. Watching my daughter thoroughly enjoy her entire experience at Bosk was truly heartwarming. As parents, we often worry about our children's safety and well-being, especially when it comes to dining out. With Bosk, we can finally relax and enjoy a meal together, knowing that our daughter's needs are understood and respected. In a bustling city like downtown Toronto, it's a relief to have a second trusted restaurant like Bosk that offers a safe haven for individuals with food allergies. We are immensely grateful to the entire team at Bosk for their exceptional service, culinary expertise, and sincere dedication to making dining experiences truly remarkable for everyone. We wholeheartedly recommend Bosk to families and individuals seeking a memorable and worry-free dining experience.

I wanted to like this restaurant but I was a bit disappointed. Service was beyond slow. We booked a reso and still waited 10 mins past our time to be seated. Once we were seated we realized the restaurant wasn’t even full or that busy. Ordered drinks, took 45 mins for them to come out. Then dinner came out shortly after, which was a let down. I ordered the Cornish hen which was cooked to perfection but lacked any real flavour. The ambiance of the restaurant was dim and romantic, but service was slow. Overall less than satisfied for fine dining, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others

Enjoyed a couple of beverages and truffles fries at the bar. Probably the best truffle fries I’ve had. Stellar service from Daryl. He made my daughter and I feel special and taken care of.

Had dinner there a week ago. The place was like a tomb on a friday night. Says volumes about its popularity. Octopus over cooked. Tuna tatar was not good. Beet salad okay. Duck looked kinda gross. I had the cod which was pretty bland. Popeye's makes better fried chicken. Service was good though

I had brunch and dinner here, and the service and food was impeccable. I really loved the Hong Kong Style French Toast and the Pad Thai was delicious.

Service - nobody knows what to do they have to go to someone else to find the answer for you. I was on the phone with them 3 times to get emailed their boxing day brunch menu (link on website not working and they don't respond to voicemas) and to try and make reservations! I got a call back and was told they don't take reservations during Christmas! When I arrived (EARLY to get a seat) the restaurant only had a few tables filled and they sat us is a really ugly space (see photo). I waited an hour to be seated in the main area, and at that time the rest of my party arrived. Brunch starts at 11:30 btw. The only saving grace was the food, our eggs benedicts were delicious and they included orange juice when we ordered prosecco to make mimosas.

Ordered Summericious and had Wellington beef, duck confit and milk chocolate. Food was alright but the service is amazing.

We came for a celebration and everyone that works here (besides our bartender Eduardo) was incredibly rude. Not impressed. If you are wanting to have a nice time I would go somewhere else. Honestly as someone who has been here 10+ times over the past couple years I would have expected better. Feels like they’re only interested in making a quick buck with their $24 cocktails. I will not be returning.

I was impressed with Bosk’s NYE tasting menu. The staff were lovely and the service was elegant. Even though the restaurant is small, there is privacy for every table. It is a perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. The attention to detail and the artistic plating of course adds to the whole experience. Everything was delicious, but the standouts were the perfectly prepared foie gras, the melt-in-your mouth venison as well as the incredible French dessert. Bosk provides a top notch dining experience and I look forward to going again!

Food was amazing from appetizer to entrée to dessert. 10/10 would recommend the duck, it was cooked just right, the skin was crispy, and seasoned well. Service was a little slow for lunch, so would not recommend coming on a work day.

We had a wonderful lunch at Bosk. Our group of 10 have been welcomed with a very caring and warm staff. The food was excellent. We arrived at the end of service and the staff was so kind to stay help us through our long lunch. I cannot thank enough Miss Yasmin who was so helpful and available all the time.

Went for dinner here to celebrate my birthday. Overall it was pretty good. I enjoyed the food. My fish was a little overcooked and overseasoned but the rest of the food we ordered were good. Service was good and the overall ambiance was nice and classy with good music.

Having stayed at Shangri La, we have had our daily breakfasts at Bosk; in addition on the day of our arrival we had our dinner there. Meaning, our review withstood the challenge of repeated experience, and the result was entirely positive. The à la carte breakfast options are numerous; in addition to your usual breakfast fare, Bosks serves such morning delicacies as "Full English" (two eggs any style, crispy potato, baked beans, mushrooms, grilled tomato, back bacon, pork sausage, choice of toast), "Wellness" (egg white frittata, avocado, sauteed spinach, green asparagus, zucchini, cherry tomato, feta cheese, choice of toast), Scallion Pancakes (two eggs any style, sesame hoisin), and Chinese Dim Sum (choice of pork with shrimp & scallop or crystal shrimp or mushroom/vegetarian; it requires about 15 minutes' wait), among other excellent choices. A breakfast buffet offers great selection of freshly baked pastries, ham, salami, and the excellent local lox. Our 4-course dinner featured such delectable dishes as Northern Divine Caviar ("carbonara", hand cut cappellini), Cumbrae's 40 Day Dry Aged Ribeye (pain perdu, rapini, onions), and Smoked Quinoa & Cucumber (yogurt, candied tomato, fennel pollen), to name just a few. The dinner prices are quite good, $90 for 4-courses pp, with the portions of a decent size, not small plates usually featured in tasting menus. The other great gourmet choice would be the Chef's Signature Tasting Menu, priced ar $135 pp and available upon request between 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Chef's Signature Tasting Menu includes 8 small plates. Of course, à la carte choices are also available. As mentioned, the food was very good, top-notch. Even the usual mundane "breakfast suspects", such as scrambled eggs or omelette were perfectly cooked and presented nicely. The service was very good, the dining area great, spacious and comfortable, without tons of tables squeezed too close to each other. With your back to the lobby's lounge, we would recommend you request a table on the left, by the floor-to-ceiling windows, which allows for watching the city life passing in front of you. Definitely recommended. We will certainly come again next time in Toronto.

Food is great! We had dinner there and had the Osso Buco which was so tender! We also had the Nduja & Crab Pasta which was also great.. The service is a slow however, there was only one server for the entire section.. seems like they’re understaffed.. We also had breakfast here, and had the same slow experience..

Had a great experience here for winterlicious! The service is by far the best and the servers are really knowledgeable about the food and tells you little story that makes it more interesting before you take your first bite. Ambiance is also exceptional! Cant wait to come back for our anniversary dinner!
