I came here with a friend for brunch. I had the smoked trout with home fries and she had the chicken waffle. The food was top-notch and the portions were very generous. We waited for an hour and a half to get a table (put your name on the waitlist as early as possible; I was there at 9:30), but once seated, service was quick. Definitely worth stopping by if not in a rush

Had a bit of a wait here but it's worth! I love the Southern brunch flare and the food was honestly too good. So flavourful and decadent! I had the brisket benny which was perfectly cooked. The brisket was fatty and tender and the home fries were so buttery, crisp and so indulgent. The staff was also very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We were there for a Sunday brunch and around 1pm and got a table without any wait. The restaurant was really busy so it took quite some time for the food to arrive but the wait was worth it! We ordered a basic breakfast with bacon and a hot beef sandwich. The bacon was amazing! Crispy but not over cooked. The sandwich came with gravy that was perfect for dipping the fries in. The portion was huge and we could barely finish the food. We had a great experience and would definitely come back to try the pancakes and cinnamon bun!

We ordered the brisket benny, biscuits & gravy plus chicken, a coffee, and a hot apple cider plus bourbon. It was all delicious, high quality comfort food. The staff was friendly and the music inside was excellent. Will definitely go back!

You know what, I’m not a morning person so I go out for brunch perhaps once a year. And boy am I glad I was introduced to this place. I ordered the Salmon eggs Benny, and wow when I took a bite of that there were stars in my eyes. They use high quality eggs, you can tell because of the colour of the yolk- and it was perfectly cooked! The milk pancake wasn’t sweet and paired so well with the eggs and smoked salmon. It wasn’t soggy either just fluffy. I LOVE smoked salmon and this place was no exception. The combination together is something I will recommend to everyone everywhere. The server was nice too, reminded me of a neighbour who would bake pie and shared it. One thing is I do wish they gave us straws for the ice latte, because towards the end if I tried to drink it, ice would simply fall into my mouth. Atmosphere was good too! Busy, as expected, but in no way did I feel uncomfortable or have my space invaded. It was so nice coming here, thank you for having me :)

I love trying the new benedicts they have everytime I go, its the best, my go to place for breakfast/brunch. They have the best home fries, always so perfectly crisp. The fresh juices are really good, and I love the london fog latte. I love that you can get on the waitlist on your way there instead of waiting an hour outside like some places.

this place is popular so make sure you put yourself on the waiting list, as they can have a queue of 50 minutes. we ordered 2 Dirty Burgers ($23 each), the salmon jonny ($24), the chicken n waffle ($23) and a london fog ($5) in terms of pricing it was definitely more expensive for brunch but the quality of the food and the portions were stellar so definitely worth the price. the salmon jonny was the most delightful twist on eggs benedict, the hollandaise sauce, with the blue cheese balancing the savouring nature of the smoke salmon. the poached egg was cooked to perfection. the pancakes were so incredibly delicious, it made me want to order their more sweeter offerings so i’ll definitely comeback to try those. homefries is the best side you can order, they’re absolutely delicious, crispy, buttery and filling.

Been here many times and it's probably the best brunch spot ever! Amazing layered crispy potato home fries, and an always-interesting menu. Don't skip out on the fried green tomatoes and Caesar cocktail! Great thick & lemony hollandaise, and love their chicken and waffle specials. Also their cinnamon buns are a yummy treat. On top of this, their service is always so friendly. <3

Had a really good brunch here with my family. Who knew asparagus and poach eggs actually marries very well together. Love their home fries. It has layers on it. Haven’t had this type of home fries anywhere in Toronto. So I would say pretty unique to this place that I’ve tried so far around the neighbourhood. No complaints, it’s a solid brunch place in the Junction neighbourhood. Only thing is, the place is small-ish and there can be a bit of a wait on service.

A little popular brunch spot located in The Junction known for homestyled comfort food, and a menu that changes regularly. They don't take reservations here, but you can join the waitlist on Yelp, which gives you an estimated wait time for a table, which makes is pretty handy for those who live in the area so they can plan when to leave the house. The atmosphere here is pretty chill, but a bit noisy due to the small space.  I had to make an effort to speak louder to have a conversation. The food is served in very good portions, and well priced. I loved the asparagus and potato rosti eggs benedict dish I ordered. All the flavours within my dish blended nicely together, and I really enjoyed the balasamic hollandaise combination. The staff here were all friendly, but because this place can be pretty busy, it can sometimes be hard to get the attention of someone, or may need to wait a bit for service.

My compliments to the chefs and staff for an incredible meal, a wonderful experience, exceptional service, and the best Breakfast/Brunch I have ever had in Toronto!

My favorite breakfast place in the Junction!! I usually get the basic breakfast or brisket benny, both are so delicious and well executed. You can taste the care. Their homefries are unlike any other. I don’t know if I’d call it that but my god, they are so crispy and tasty. They also have hot sauce that I assume they make in house that I’d recommend giving a shot if you like hot sauce. I’m not a fan of red bell pepper but it’s quite tasty and has a nice roasted flavor and it’s got heat to it as well. For weekends, especially on Sundays, I recommend timing your commute accordingly when you join the waitlist. I waited an hour for 2 people on a Sunday late morning. However, when my partner and I went on a Friday morning (albeit not the most fantastic weather in the winter) there was no wait and we were immediately seated.

Delish!! I’ve been wanting to come here for a while now so some of my girls and I finally came in for brunch the other day and wow! The explosion of flavour was so savoury and so unexpected, I will definitely be back again. I highly recommend their chicken and waffles, the candies jalapeños were such a nice touch as well as the jalapeño infused syrup. My mouth is watering as I write this review right now 🥲🙃 10/10

Great local brunch place in the Junction! The signature home fries was definitely worth the 3 hours wait. Only outdoor patio is available so make sure to join the online waiting list first thing in the morning.

Came here for brunch with my friends and it’s a cute little brunch place. They definitely have the best home fries. I would go back for that. I got the sweet potato pancakes which was pretty good.

Two breakfast poutines and coffee please. Yep, poutine for breakfast, and damn it was good! I’m still thinking about it - it was so good. I may dream about it - it was so good. Excellent service too, in this cute and busy little spot.

Table for one please! This place was awesome. One morning I chose to go out and have breakfast by myself. Thankfully the @dirtyfoodTo have a quick and easy reservation link on their website, so I was accommodated instantly. It does get quite busy and the space is confined so I recommend booking ahead of time to avoid disappointment. I wish I could post videos because these pictures don’t do justice! I went with the special that day which was delicious bbq ribs, baked beans, over easy eggs, Texas toast and their signature baked then fried buttery home fries; the menu also had a small cocktail list, I chose the DIY mimosa, so good! Everything was absolutely delicious & my server was very sweet. I definitely will be going back to try more items on the menu. Ps if you can’t parallel park search for parking before you arrive lol

This is the type of brunch spot you know is incredible just by walking by. It's always packed and always has a really excellent energy. People are here for an elevated brunch experience! The menu had the perfect variety without being overwhelming. The food portions are great, but definitely recommend you come hungry! Most importantly, try the home fries. They are these wonderful crunchy outside, fluffy inside, buttery potato perfection!

Fantastic brunch spot in Toronto. It has a cozy vibe to it and we sat at the bar. The highlight has to be the buttermilk biscuit that came with the eggs jenny. The ribs were great too and the white toast had a soft appeal to it that took me back to my childhood. Thank you Dirty Food Eatery team for a great experience. We will see you soon!

Came here for brunch and it was amazing. The food was delicious and our server was very nice. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the salmon eggs benedict and would definitely recommend both. The home fries were some of the best that we have ever had so make sure you order them!

Tiny spot with great food. We joined the online waiting list but we still had go wait 30 min for a table, I guess they gave out table away. Food is quite good and the portions are huge. Worth try it.

I have been here a few times and the quality of food and service is consistent. Everything on the menu is really good and won’t disappoint. Their chicken & waffle sandwich is a must try and don’t miss out on their home fries. I also enjoy their eggs Benedict. Only downside is that they can get pretty long line ups but it is worth the wait.

Continuing tradition, another 5 star review. Phenomenal food. Take away for 2, ate about 20 mins after p/u Eggs Benny (Jenny): This thing is beautiful, and tastes great. I’m a big fan of collard greens and will get them anytime I can, given that their menu rotates I’m happy to have caught this dish. If anything I might add a crack of fresh pepper or a dab of aardvark sauce to break up the experience Deep fried pickle grilled cheese: It looks heavy, but it’s not, the pickles marry with the cheese, we could have easily split this meal in half and both be reasonable fed. Gingerbread Cinnamon bun Not too sweet, beautiful texture, very nice to snack on with coffee. Edit: The whole reason for the review. The home fries are something special. They are thinly sliced then stacked together and deep fried? I have no idea how they make them but they are hands down best in the city.

Great ordering and pick-up experience. The picnic kit we ordered was tasty, especially the jalapeno spread! We took the food out to a nearby park, which turned out to be a great way to spend the afternoon. It is decently priced too.

It was an almost two-hour wait to get in here for mid morning brunch. This may be preference based but I wasn't a fan of my dish, the Eggs Jenny. The bacon slabs tasted too salty and I really disliked the buttermilk biscuit texture, much preferring the standard English muffin. Also, I was really expecting more from the home fries; they tasted lacking in any seasoning or flavour besides the oil they were cooked in. The salad was great. Servers were very friendly and good vibes atmosphere. I think had I gotten the salmon benedict, which my partner did and raved about, I'd give this a 5 star rating.

Got the Eggs Jenny and chicken & waffles both came with house fries (your choice). The house fries were really good! I loved the syrup for the chicken it was so different from the norm. The chicken was massive and really good overall. The waffle was nothing special, honestly it just seemed like a filler not much flavor or texture (I usually like it crispy or a nice fluff). Eggs Jenny was a lot sweeter than I thought for a savory dish, most likely from the bread. It was a really good benny overall.

Ive had my eye on this place since they opened. Finally went the other day for breakfast. I had it so hyped up in my head, and it exceeded that hype. I had the eggs jenny, the veggie version with a fried green tomato. Unbelievable. Home made biscuit, delicious. But the home fries are absolutely perfect.

Overall a very good brunch experience at Dirty Food Eatery. The breakfast wich was SUPER GOOD. The bun was well toasted and buttered, the homemade sausage patty was drool-worthy, and definitely recommend getting the fried green tomato to boot. I cannot say enough good things about this sandwich. The chicken on the waffles was tender, and perfectly breaded. The minor setbacks were the sides that accompanied the chicken and waffles (the slaw had a flavour that didn’t accompany the main plate well, and the candied toppings were indiscernible), the maple syrup was infused with a Chili which made it unexpectedly hot, and the patio being right on Dundas street made for a loud meal.

Everything was amazing!! The dressing on the green was really good🌱. Their home fries are the best, it crispy and some spice seasoning on the fries is really good as well. The salmon Jonny is amazing🥹, hollandaise wasn't too bitter, my favorite so far, even though I don't really like hollandaise. Everything seemed homemade, and soo fresh. The drinks are good, we had cappuccino and hot chocolate☕️. Worth for every dollar we spent!! I would recommend to join the waitlist before you go.. it usually busy on the weekends.

I ordered the apple cinnamon johnnycakes. I initially tried to order online around 9:30am but the site was giving me a pickup time of 12:00pm. I decided to call and they were able to have my order ready in 20 minutes. Comes with 3 decent size johnnycakes. If you have ever eaten at Denny's or Coras I'd compare the size to their pancakes. The pancakes are fluffy and very filling. I initially thought they messed up my order when I did not see any apples on my pancakes. However to my surprise they were baked inside. They are topped with oat crumble which is appears baked as it has a nice crunch to it. Overall flavorful and not super sweet. I will definitely order again and recommend 👌🏾 Sorry no photo they smelled so good I could not wait to dive in.

Very popular for brunch so if you haven't reserved be prepared for as much as an hour long wait, but usually you'll be able to be seated in less than 30 minutes. I had the Strawberry Johnny Pancakes (very good, very filling) but got a look at their Benny and it looked hearty as well. Our server was very pleasant - attentive without being overbearing - and all the clientele seemed to be families or dating couples... so if you're looking for a good brunch date place consider this one. Meat and vegetarian options available.

Dirty Food Eatery does brunch right. The food is delicious, has little twists that make them standard from other restaurants, and is reasonably priced. That does mean that there is almost always a wait so be prepared!

I checked into the online waitlist at 10am on a Sunday morning and they told me my table would be ready by 11:15am. We got there right before our time slot and they still weren’t ready for us. I got the text about our table at 11:55am and I find that extremely unreliable considering its an electronic system. The food is good albeit sometimes too salty. I recommend the sweeter dishes to avoid that. All dishes are priced between 15-25$ except for the kids menu. Fresh orange juice for 5.25$ seems a bit excessive too. I’m not sure it is worth the wait but if you don’t have any other choice then it’s ok.

Very popular and tiny place makes for a loud and chaotic environment. Server's vibe was overwhelmed, at times. Having said that, the food service was quick and the food itself was really, really good! We had the Chicken and Waffles and the Special, which was a Pork Belly Benny. 👌

Visiting from California I decided to try this place out since I was in the mood for Brunch. They had a 2 hr wait time but it was worth the wait! I ordered the salmon Benedict’s I recommend it if you like seafood! The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the salmon was fresh! The fries are really good crispy in the outside and the salad was good I enjoyed the vinaigrette. While I was waiting I ventured and did some sight seeing while building more appetite. If I ever return to Toronto I would come here again!

The Monte Cristo sandwich was absolutely amazing. The cinnamon roll was the best I've ever had. And that quiche 👌. Even the ketchup was freshly ground tomatoes. Very friendly staff, so don't be shy to swing by.

Excellent food. Very good service. They have a great concept of a waitlist for their seating and do not take reservations. We had their specials of the day and they were delicious. We absolutely loved the way they made their home fries. It is unique and we have never had them like that before

I love the food. We ordered the shrimp cake Benny and Johnny Cake. Enjoyed it a lot. The wait is long though. I joined the wait list for almost 90 minutes, so be prepared. The service was okay until towards the end with some slight mixed up. Overall was a good brunch.
