Steam Whistle was walking distance from our hotel so it was an easy choice. We were able to make a reservation and when we arrived, were seated promptly. My partner and I are not 'big beer drinkers' but our server helped us pick what would fit best and we both really enjoyed it! We also enjoyed other cocktails after and their gin drink that comes in a can, big fan!!! The food was AMAZING, truly. We did a bunch of small plates and shared and it was so so so delicious. They even put the Jays game on tv for us. Definitely will visit here again when we visit again!

Absolutely, incredible and creative vegan options! Really, really enjoyed the corn! Also ordered October fest bratwurst and it was awesome too! And we both loved the pretzel!! Also 5 stars for being a pet friendly patio! 🙌🏼

A unique brewery with lots of history surrounding it! Came here for after-work drinks, the servers were kind, drinks were reasonable price. I really like the interior of this place, with high ceilings, hanging plants, and lots of sunlight giving it an airy feel. Spacious, and great place for groups. The washrooms were clean when I went as well.

The structure of the brewery is incredible! From the outside, you are already enchanted by the memory of old factories, with those huge tanks. Right at the entrance there are some tables outside, where you can stay with your pets. At the entrance door there is a small map for locating the internal points. On summer weekends, the brewery has a small food outlet in the outdoor area with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. In the bar area, you can order beer in cans, longneck bottles or pints. Inside there are tables and chairs available to customers, as well as a small souvenir shop. The toilets are equipped to serve all audiences, especially people with mobility difficulties. It's really worth knowing!

I booked this brewery tour without much thought on my trip to Canada and my friend and I absolutely did not regret it! Our tour guide was amazing and really funny. You can tell he truly enjoyed his job and was able to present a lot of info in a fun and quick way, all while drinking the exact beer you talk about. Also no joke, nicest beer bottle I’ve ever drunken out of! As a Bostonian who loves beer, I thoroughly enjoyed my time checking out one of Canada’s staple beers. :)

It's a very popular place so, it's a bit of a wait to get in. I was there Friday afternoon and it took about 35 minutes. But it is worthy. The staff is awesome. Very friendly and the service is great. The beer is delicious and their poutine, is one of the best I've ever had. It's loaded with bacon. BACON 🥓😍 you can't go wrong!

A welcome oasis on one of the hottest days downtown! Steam Whistle had great Pilsners but even better food! Being from the Midwest, I've eaten coleslaw at every summer barbeque for the last 40 years; Steam Whistle's coleslaw is some of the best I've ever had (trying to identify the flavors and it seems like maybe a mayo/olive oil based dressing with fresh pepper and fresh dill with super thinly sliced cabbage and carrots but there's something else...). Regardless... The 'slaw is practically worth a trip in on it's own. Our family also shared the OG soft pretzels, a burger, and fish and chips. All entrees were top notch with their own unique flair. Speaking of top notch, our server Amelia was great and seemed to effortlessly take care of a number of tables. She provided us with a complimentary 6 pack for stopping in from out of town which we will be enjoying during our Toronto stay this week. Watching the kitchen staff in the open kitchen was also awesome as you could see the shorthand in their work as they both worked together to quickly get orders out. The speed of getting meals out was frankly astonishing. Highly recommend you check this place out if ever in the area!!

Went for the tour. The guides name was Kenny and he was so engaging, lively, funny and informative! Tour was fantastic. Lots of cool fun facts! It's a really great add on if your touring and visiting the aquarium and or CN Tower... Steam whistle is literally steps away! Little tribute near the end (that I won't spoil) but thought was really fantastic of Steam Whistle to include.

I had the currywurst and would 100% have it again. The pretzel was perfect. My husband was less pleased about the fish n chips: tartar sauce was so heavy on red onion it was all you could taste and the fish was lacking texture (it was just mush under the breadcrumb batter). The service was impeccable though, and we left happy either way. It was disappointing that the brewery didn't do tours during the week.

When hitting TO for a jays game, leafs, raptors, or just a day in the town this is one of my favourite spots to hit. One of the best beers in the city, great food, and very friendly down to earth staff. Prices are great too! Was in recently and had the Haddock and chips and the OG Bratwurst. Amazing!

I was lucky enough to be part of a wedding at Steam Whistle in Oct 2022. It was my first time photographing a wedding at this stunning venue and I was blown away by everything. The location is amazing. Very modern, industrial and cozy. It definitely doesn't leave your photographer wondering where to take your family, wedding party or couple photos. Of course with it being downtown and beside the CN Tower it is a busy place but not bad enough where you can't take photos anywhere. Unfortunately some tourists were gawking in the background of some ceremony photos. Oh well! They use the front restaurant area for cocktail hour and it felt very casual and intimate. In the back the reception space was beautiful and string lights, candles and gorgeous table scapes. As a Toronto wedding photographer, I get to eat at a lot of different venues. In my opinion, it's few and far between that you get a great space and a great meal. Well, Steam Whistle absolutely smashed it. Not only was the food lovely to look at it tasted amazing and the vegetarian option was fantastic. This venue is for the stylish, easy going foodie couple that wants the modern, city vibes. I hope I'm back soon! :)

I've been looking for a restaurant like this within the city and finally found it. It's good that they accomodate walk-ins because it's an unplanned drink😅. It had a perfect ambience. Our table was outside and we had awesome view of the CN tower. I saw a family went with there children. It was lovely. It's kinda family-oriented place. The staffs were friendly and always smiling. Great service! A must try restaurant when planning to visit Toronto. Book ahead of time not to line up in case. Oops! Before I'll forget, they only accept cards for payment. Really good sausages! I guess I didn't expect much in the way of food at a Brewery but the sausages were very yummy! The service was good, very friendly and accommodating. We were two families with four kids total and they were very nice to us and let us take over a huge table! I'd definitely go back next time I'm in the area!

We popped in to the beer gardens for a quick pre Jays game beer. The patio was full so we sat inside. Its a very unique space. The service was a little bit slow but to be fair the place was busy. We ordered a round of drinks (beer, pop and a couple of ciders). We asked for the bill once the drinks arrived because we had to catch the game and it came pretty quick. The price was reasonable for downtown Toronto. I would return.

I'd like to start by saying I have never asked if I could get more Coleslaw before, but I did here! It was outstanding. Nothing like I've had before. The burger had some on it and it and made it so much better. The aged cheddar cheese fries were next level! Glad we stayed to eat, as I was not sure I wanted to at first. Also enjoyed non filtered pilsner very much!

We had food at their biergarten before our tour seeing as we were running early. Highly advise the pretzel, service and staff were excellent. Absolutely loved the tour! Kenny was a brilliant tour guide! The building itself is steeped in history so well worth a visit to learn more about how the area was developed.

Ate at the Biergarten before the tour. Had a delicious blood orange and beer shandy and the eggplant vegetarian dish. My husband had a beer and the burger. Both were delicious and filling. We had booked tickets for the tour. $20 each with included a bottle a beer. Kenny our guide was really amusing, engaging and interesting. He told us the process of the beer making, the history of the building and the history of the founders. Also what happened to the company during COVID. Would highly recommend the tour.

Amazing experience ! Kenny was fun, entertaining and provided a thorough history of the brewery. Also, went over to their Biergarten to try the food. Had the fish and chips and Alister made me an amazing cocktail to close out the experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun afternoon.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at the steam whistle brewery! The decor was beautiful. The pretzel is a MUST, corn dog was nice. Beer was refreshing too. Though it’s not the cheapest bar food it’s worth it once in a while! Will visit again if u come back to Toronto

First time visiting this place, overall I thought it was excellent. If you're into downtown eats then I'd definitely give this place a shot, there is a parking lot on the other side of the intersection. The atmosphere is great with a nice sized outdoor area and seeing the trains up close is pretty neat. Food was great, I thought the fried pickles were excellent. Will definitely visit this place again if I'm in the area.

This is a great place to hang out, and grab a beer and snacks. We loved the location near Rogers Centre and the CN Tower, and in a nice park setting. The beer was tasty, the pretzels were fresh and delicious, and the roundhouse building adds a really cool vibe.

Stopped by here to get a beer and must say, I wasn’t disappointed by it! While they have a small menu, both their beers and food was great! The ambience was great too and the staff were warm and helping! They helped us find a table quick and the server who waited at our table gave us some great suggestions when it came to choosing what to eat and drink!

Great place to pop in for a burger and beer. Great service, very clean and just a nice atmosphere altogether. House burger with pilsner is a pairing made in heaven.

The brewery tour offers fascinating insights into the beer-making process, coupled with passionate staff sharing their knowledge. The commitment to quality and the overall enjoyable ambiance make Steam Whistle Brewing a top-notch destination for beer enthusiasts and those looking to explore the world of craft brewing. Happy and safe Drinking🍺🍺

Tried it twice and had a pleasent visit both times. Great staff, some stood out a bit more which raised the stars. Great beers from the brewery (both amber and IPA was to my liking) and their burger was really "juicy". The place, the roundhouse, is an interesting spot to visit as well with its old trains, buildings and tracks in the area. Have a visit here!

Best food we've had in Toronto so far! Garlic Pretzal and their Root Endive salad is superb!

This place is one of the best in Toronto perhaps Canada in my opinion. This place is genuinely amazing and everyone among their staff are beautiful people. I was feeling low and great service just lifted my mood. You guys rock, keep up the good work.

I had the best experience dining at Steam Whistle Brewery. We ordered the currywurst as our main dish that had a very tasty sauce that was cooked to perfection. As far as our appetizers and drinks, we had a soft pretzel that tasted like it was fresh out of the oven, the grilled corn and their signature Pilsner beer which was our favorite. Our server Hayley made our visit a lot better by giving her own recommendations and great service. Overall we were amazed by them and are definitely coming back really soon!

First time visiting the round house in all my years of growing up in the GTA and have always wanted to stop into Steam Whistle. They have a nice patio with views of the Railway Museum and a couple train cars on the patio! I’m not a huge pilsner drinker, but on a hot day it’s a refreshing choice, and the people here brew a good beer. Carrie our server was excellent, she was prompt with bringing our drinks and food and made sure to check on us every so often. Great start to a day of touring the city!

Great spot for before a Jays game! It gets busy but they do a good job getting people through by having a bar you can go up and order at. If you come during times it isn't busy it's a nice patio and spot for a drink but it's a bit pricey. I strongly recommend the unfiltered pilsner. The tour is well worth the money however if you have the time.

Unique location for a fun pub grub venue. The burger, curry sausage, poutine, and steak frites were all great. The curry sausage in particular had a really excellent flavor. We tried the Electric Unicorn White IPA (tap) and the Dino Sour stone fruit sour (can); both were really tasty and good meal accompaniments. All the servers and hosts were very friendly, we came right as they were about to close the kitchen but let us put in our orders at last call which we greatly appreciated.

This place is a wonderful beer hall! 🍻 Steam Whistle Biergarten servers a great selection of beers 🍺 and cocktails 🍸 - you should try their Electric ⚡Unicorn 🦄 White IPA. Definetly a fantastic pitstop 🚏 on your next trip to Toronto 🇨🇦 super close to the CN Tower! 🗼 Service is quick and staff 👨‍🍳 is super friendly and welcoming (thanks Zack for the great service)! The place is beautifully decorated 🛋️ too! I wish I knew about this place earlier!

The Steam Whistle Brewery is a must-visit for beer lovers in Toronto. The historic brick railway roundhouse is home to a working pilsner brewery, and offers tours with tastings, a store, and a Biergarten with delicious food options. The brewery is located in the heart of the downtown core, making it a great place to visit before or after exploring the city. The tour of the brewery is a great way to learn about the brewing process and the history of the company. The tastings are generous, and the beer is delicious. The Biergarten is a great place to relax and enjoy a meal, and the wait times during peak hours are reasonable. The food is hearty and affordable, and the beer selection is impressive. The Biergarten was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal after the tour. The only downside is that expect to have wait times during peak hours, but it's definitely worth it! I highly recommend a visit to the Steam Whistle Brewery.

I ordered a pretzel, beergarita and pumpkin pesto rigatoni. The pretzel and beergarita tasted really good and the rigatoni was okay--it had so much pesto, it felt like I was just eating a jar of pesto the entire meal. It was my first time having it and compared to online photos, it looks pretty accurate though. My husband ordered a Roundhouse burger. I didn't taste it for myself but I did notice that the mid section of his burger was uncooked, still very pink. He mentioned he didn't like the burger anyway and because we were visiting from Newfoundland and didn't have much time in Toronto, my husband didn't want to complain and wait for another burger so he ate the nearly raw one like a champ. The dine-in seating wasn't private and most people, like ourselves, were seated with other strangers on what looked like long picnic tables. Whenever I bumped the table, I disrupted other customers at my table and I wanted to move my seat in, as I'm short but I didn't because I'd have to ask the customer at the other end of the bench if it was okay. There sometimes wasn't much space in between tables and benches for people to get by or be seated. Despite all this, it was a really cute set-up. Had a fresh, hipster vibe to the place. Plenty of vegan, vegetarian options. Service was fantastic. I'd try again but order something else on the menu. Very much recommend the beer and pretzel!

Loved my first visit here! Kenny was GREAT! A very admirable guy who not only has excellent customer service, but has that evident passion for his job. I couldn't drink beer but my husband loved it. I loved learning new things so the beer 101 and SWB's history were my biggest takeaway for this visit. This place and the company has great history. A must-visit when you are in Toronto, or a go-to place to unwind. Fur babies are welcome too so it was lovely to meet new furry friends 🐶
