I used to frequent this location a lot, but my most recent visit was sub-par at best. Staff seemed to only be attentive when the manager was present in the area. Although it was not a busy night, it still took about 10 minutes to be seated (90% of the booths in my area were empty). The beer my boyfriend ordered came halfway through the meal, despite it being ordered right at the beginning. Food looked fine, although for the pricing, could have been a lot better. At $13 for a burger, having it served on a dirty plate with a cracked dish to hold the salad was unacceptable. At $13 for a burger with two slices of tomato and two patties, you're better off getting the equivalent quality and quantity at a McDonalds or a mom/pop shop at a cheaper price point. Expressed my concerns with management, and have yet to hear back nearly one month later. Will probably not be back to this location, but will still be open to others outside the area.

Horrible experience. Took my wife there for our special day and the waitress was very rude and we were given the worst seats in the restaurant. I've always been a fan and been goin here for years but after last times disappointment we will never be goin back to such horrible service. UPDATED REVIEW: I was contacted by Pickel Barrel Customer Service Team. The Manager Juan Pablo offered a 100$ credit for the bad experience we had. Once we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by Juan Pablo himself. I have to admit the whole experience was probably one of the best we have ever had. It was 5 Star ++++ service. We were served by the Manager herself. Her name was Maya and she was super nice and her customer service skills were top notch. She served us the whole time making sure me and my wife are having a good experience. Before leaving Juan also explained how his customers are like family members and we should feel welcome at home whenever we visit Pickel Barrel (Yonge&Dundas) and I have to be honest; it really did feel like a family the way they served us. It was genuine and we would repeat and go back only for Maya because she was pitch perfect host as the Manager. Our bill came to 150$ plus and it was all covered by PB as they wanted to show their hospitality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! GO WHEN MAYA AND JUAN are working they are perfect hosts.

Despite going on a really hot day when they closed early, the food was good but service was a bit slow with my drink and dish. Everyone else in my group was served at the same time though so at least not everyone had to wait.

This place is one of my guilty pleasures. I really like their food despite somehow feeling like I shouldn't. It's the molten lava cake with ice cream that gets me back every time. Their main menu serves up some tasty burgers and such but I always go back for their dessert.

Haven't gone in years and decided to give it a try. Server was attentive, food came together so no one left out. Problem, the menu was too big. Should be more streamlined. The food was actually better than Shopsy's. Will definitely be on our rotation.

I've been to this location several times at various hours, and it has consistently been fairly standard. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable. The dishes and drinks, however, seem very inconsistent. There is also an unwelcome draft in some areas of the restaurant that make it a bit chilly during the winter. The first time, I ordered the Spanish paella. It was pretty awful - the rice was essentially soggy rice with tomato sauce with very little bland seafood scattered throughout. The second time, I went with the waitress' recommendation and ordered the pesto chicken fettucine, which was very tasty. The third time, I ordered the double Creole double grilled chicken breast which was also pretty good. My partner had also tried the lobster grilled cheese and maple nut salmon, both which she liked. I found the salmon to be a tad undercooked though. I've had several appetizers, which all seemed very standard. Most outstanding were the Asian nachos, which were a pretty large portion. I've only tried the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake dessert, but it was very good. Compared to a similar dish at milestones, the sweetness was much more subtle and not overpowering. Regarding the drinks, the bellinis are pretty good but the Margaritas have far too much liquor and are a little hard to drink. I would come back here for the cozy atmosphere (if you can get a non-drafty seat) or the diverse menu. It's pretty clean and modern, and often not at full capacity like Joey's.

This is my happy place! They have a menu with a very diverse selection of interesting items, at great prices of course. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their food. I was pretty impressed by the authentic taste! Portion size is alright, not too big of a meal but not too little either. My fav dish so far is the shrimp quinoa salad - light yet filling.

Great lunch today at the Yonge & Dundas location. Absolutely delicious food (rainbow trout & tuna poke bowl); fast, friendly service; very clean; and excellent recommendations from our server! We'll definitely be back soon!!! 😋

It must have been an off day. My food wasn't great and may have been made first before the rest of my table. My eggs benny was overcooked and the salad was warm and wilting. Everyone else's food was good though. And our server was very kind about taking it off the bill. Like I said must have been an off day because they're usually pretty good. BTW that is a pint of beer next to the milkshake which was big enough to be a meal itself. And that was the "small" one.

Just a “OK” place. Food is good, works for lunch or breakfast. Big menu, have bunch of options. I personally, for dinner would choose something else. Staff is not efficient, usually takes super long to get attention (just to order). P.S. for breakfast they serve free coffee ☕️

My fish dish (rainbow trout) was excellent, but portion is not enough to make me full (which almost never happens with other restaurants). Our waiter was inattentive, even hard to find. But their dessert (CHUDLEIGH'S APPLE BERRY BLOSSOM) was out of this world

The food here is good, but it's a little bit on the blander side for me, but it's still good either way. What made this experience for me was the server. The service was really good and professional, which made the food even more enjoyable. Would recommend as a place to stop by.
