The server was amazing and fast. The hostess was super kind and personable. The food was INCREDIBLE! Such delicious and unique vegan Asian-inspired flavour combinations. Great cocktail menu. Delicious vegan birthday cake dessert option (which was so exciting). Definitely coming back!

It was my first time visiting a completely plant-based restaurant, and it was an excellent experience. We had a few dishes to share over drinks, and I couldn't be more pleased with the restaurant atmosphere, quality of food, and service we received. My favorite dishes were the Bang Bang Broccoli and the Potato Truffle Dumplings. For drinks, I really enjoyed their Lych Please Cocktail. I would definitely visit again.

If you’re looking for a phenomenal dining experience, look no further than PLANTA Queen 👸. Their menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering an incredible selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes as well as preferences and most importantly they are all vegetarian 🥑 🥗 🌱 & healthy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making every visit a true pleasure. I’ve dined at PLANTA Queen 👸several times and have never been disappointed – it’s truly a must-visit destination for any food lover. The place has the huge indoor seating arrangements and the seating arrangement is super comfortable and spacious.

The staff is really nice, friendly and kept following 🆙.

Pricing is decent, good value for money and the place is more suitable for a group of people.

The ambiance and look were really well done, relaxing yet interesting. Servers were friendly and fast also. The food was made fairly fast, and very tasty! I know it's a more fancy restaurant, but for vegan (no fancy meat) food it was really expensive for the small portions. Which is my only peeve. Like $30 for a high quality steak? Okay sure. $30 for udon noodles and mushrooms? Umm... Would still go again though! Just...would fill up on other food first.

The place lives up to the hype. I never ate broccoli with such happiness but their Bang Bang Broccoli is AMAZING!! You must try it. The Mango pineapple salad was fresh and light. The restaurant is beautiful and you will have a great time. Our server Taylor was nice. She ensured that we have a good time.

Loved the ambience of the place. I visited it on Wednesday and got the wine at half the price. Great options for wine too. Loved their chilli peanut noodles. Also ordered the Singaporean noodles and the corn dumplings. Finally ended the dinner with their brownie which was amazing. Had a great time and will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu.

Asian fusion vegan food at its finest. Everything we had was incredible in taste, textures and presentation. It’s impressive the range of food interpretations they can create completely vegan i.e vegan caviar made from kelp that could have fooled me to be the real thing. Favourites included the bang bang brocolli, fried to crispy perfection, and the Japanese sweet potato that melted in the mouth with surprising bits of crunch. Very good cocktail menu as well.

This is fantastic vegan pan Asian restaurant right in the heart of the Toronto! Pleasently surprised by the portion sizes. The dragon roll sushi was great. We tried the Dan Dan noodles and the egg sho Yu which were great with sizeable portions. The ambience is really nice inside. High recommend if your vegetarian /or love asian food.

Fantastic vegan food! I would highly recommend the creamy mushroom udon. The sushi was actually really good and new and not just plain avocado sushi for vegans. It is recommended to book in advance. The service was good as well. Everything was so good the first time, I had to come here a second time! This is a must try for vegans and non-plant based people too.

If you have not eaten here, I need you to pack up immediately and head on over. This is one of Toronto’s best restaurants, vegan or not. While it’s definitely upscale and on the smaller side for portions, every bite of this food is worth it. The first time I came here, we were recommended the bang bang broccoli, which we dutifully ordered. Now, I pass this wisdom onto you, review reader. Get the bang bang broccoli, it is scrumptious. You really can’t go wrong with this menu. Also, the interior design is beautiful and feels so chic. It’s perfect for a special occasion, or just a night where you want to feel bouj. The service is also great, and so are the cocktails.

Came here for Disco Dumpling and found everything good but not amazing! The restaurant vibe was nice with friendly/helpful staff. The crispy dumplings were good but I wasn't a big fan of the steamed option, sushi was great, desserts and drinks were ok. They also have a disco ball up for the disco theme which is kind of fun (but no floor space for actual disco dancing 😂).

Didn’t have a great experience when my mom and I came here for lunch. The appetizers were delicious (summer roll and Japanese inspired sweet potato, however both my mom and I did not enjoy our mains (the soba noodles and the truffle fried rice). Both were too greasy. During our meal it took so long for our appetizer plates to be cleared that by the time they came out with our mains the appetizer plates were still there. The waitress was accommodating though and didn’t charge us for our mains which was nice.

I thought I have rated this restaurant before but here we go again. I love this place. A friend invited me there and while I was driving back home I called and made a mother reservation, that’s how much I loved it. I have steamed vegetables dumplings, the truffle pasta, and the volcano broccoli. They were absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone specially vegetarians and vegans. I am going back again and trying many other dishes for sure. Then I will probably write an extension to this review. Update: I went few more times after the last review, and I am in love with every single food item I ordered so far. And for that reason I am changing my rating to 5 stars that are conditional to them staying this amazing. Well done Planta

Avocado sushi (torched and pressed sushi) (9/10), steamed dumplings (Friday special) (3/10), Singapore noodles (4/10), Japanese sweet potato (9/10). Wildly disappointed by the steamed dumplings and Singapore noodles. Steamed dumplings were bland, almost sandy in texture. Singapore noodles deceptively seasoned, will surprise you with an overabundance of soy sauce in each mouthful. Avocado sushi was surprising for such a simplistic combination. Serves as a great appetizer. Japanese sweet potato combined sweet, savory and sour elements perfectly in a delicately charred texture that leaves you craving more. Disclaimer: I am but a lowly food inexpert with an unrefined peasant's palette. Take with grain of salt Restaurant ambience was great, servers were attentive.

This place is beautiful. We went on Friday “Disco and Dumplings” night, and we really enjoyed the tunes the DJ was playing creating a fun party atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious with mastered sauces. We enjoyed sharing the bang bang broccoli, dumplings of the day with jackfruit, and the kung pao eggplant. Yum!

Oh my goodness PLANTA on Queen was such a delight. It really had me considering whether or not I actually enjoyed eating meat hahaha this is the first plant based restaurant I’ve been to and I already have plans on coming back. Our server was an absolute gem. He shared his best recommendations and gave his honest opinion on some of our thoughts. Everything we ordered was incredible. I could not imagine plant based sushi tasting like that. Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavours complimented everything so well. I’m so excited to come back again.. Incredible!

This place has DELICIOUS vegan and vegetarian Asian food. This is my first plant-based restaurant and WOW! I was very impressed by the variety of dishes, and how tasty they were! We came here for a company dinner, and our server was so kind and attentive. He took a group photo for us amid the dinner rush! He also informed that most dishes on their menu came on shareable platters. So, we ordered most of their menu to try together! The Bang Bang Broccoli, creamy Udon Noodles, 1,000 Crispy Layer Potatoes and the Avocado Lime Tartare were my favourite dishes by far. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, being sleek, spacious and modern. The kitchen is slightly open-concept, as you can see right through the large windows to see the chefs hard at work. This place has a great selection of delicious and healthy dishes that accommodate both vegetarian and vegan diets. I definitely recommend coming here with a group of friends so you can share a bunch of yummy bites!

I don’t know where to start from to explain how good the food here is. Yes it is vegan, but it is amazing! I love eating meats but this is one of my favourite places to dine in Toronto. Firstly, the ambience and the music makes it a perfect place to have dinner before commencing to bars and/or clubs. The servers are extremely polite and give curated recommendations to your flavours and preferences. The items below are labelled for you to know what looks like what - but everything was super delicious. Sometimes the service was slow, but the waiters are flexible as you don’t always have to order from your table’s waiter. I have starred this place so that I can bring my friends and family too. A must-visit if you are visiting Toronto

Ambiance and decor was great, the staff was amazing; that on its own was a 5-star experience, and the only reason why I’m giving as high as a 2 star for this review. The food is not great. I really appreciate that there’s a place where everything is vegan and you don’t have to worry about accidentally ordering meat - that being said, flavours don’t really mesh well, and the Asian inspiration for some for the dishes is apparent but does not deliver as well as it should. It was quite greasy and consisted of a lot of deep fried dishes - definitely not as healthy as you would think. Some dishes were also either too salty or too bland. I’d come back for the ambiance and for the staff, but if you have other options, perhaps not the food.

1st time here and the ambiance is GORGEOUS very settle, romantic and chic. The drinks were alright ( we did the bottomless sangrias…6/10) The food was 6.5/10 it was flavourful and fresh but nothing special besides the calamari mushrooms. I would recommend to a vegan but I definitely had a burger after visiting.

The service was great and our server was excellent, even though she was new. The appetizers were all superb and very tasty, however I felt the noodle dishes were all very similar in taste. I would order lots of delicious appetizers and not order the noodle dishes. They also have half price wine on Wednesdays. Definitely recommend. Don’t forget to follow me.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at PLANTA QUEEN, the vegan restaurant in Toronto. The moment I stepped inside, I was mesmerized by its stunning interior and felt an instant connection with the great ambiance. The staff was wonderful, providing helpful information about the restaurants as soon as I sat down. Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply outstanding! The vegan sushi was a real treat, and the Unagi eggplant nigiri with the eggplant cell on rice was a unique and flavorful combination. The Bang Bang Broccoli was hands down the best item on the menu, and it's no surprise it's a popular choice – I loved every bite of it! The Potato truffle dumplings were also quite enjoyable, especially with the coconut lemongrass broth and truffle soy that complemented the flavors beautifully. As for the Dan Dan Noodles, they were delicious and packed with taste. Overall, PLANTA QUEEN impressed me with its mouthwatering vegan options, particularly the broccoli, noodles, sushi, and dumplings, which stood out as the highlights of the meal. I'll definitely be returning to savor these delightful dishes again soon. This restaurant is a true gem for vegan food enthusiasts and anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Toronto. Five stars all the way!

Hands-down, the best vegan food I’ve had. Amazing choice, very flavourful, we tried a lot of small plates - the broccoli is a must try, jackfruit dumplings, sushi, tofu and more. Service was impeccable and nice cosy ambience.

Everything here was great! We came to celebrate an anniversary and it didn't disappoint. They have daily special deals which have very good price, but the whole menu sounded interesting. We will definitely come back 😊 I would skip the bao next time since it didn't have the high standard as everything else (it was still good, though).

This restaurant, a fusion-Asian branch of Planta’s all-vegan establishments, was INCREDIBLE. Everything arrived rapidly, even on a busy Friday night at dinner time, and service was attentive & friendly. The presentation of dishes was gorgeous & the flavours were unique & absolutely delicious. I honestly don’t think one can go wrong with any of the choices here. It’s an absolute winner & deserves serious accolades for the quality of its food. Prices are reasonable for a fairly fancy, classy restaurant, and the variety of options means almost everyone will have a distinct favourite! When in this part of Toronto, a definite must-try.

I had a fantastic dining experience here! The cauliflower tots were amazing. The Japanese sweet potatoe was amazing. I only had a bite of the chicken fried mushroom but that was really good. Our main dish was the Singapore noodles and those were phenomenal. I'm not sure if there is a bad dish on the menu!

If you are well-versed in Asian cuisine, be prepared for a mid experience. We ordered a couple of the more popular dishes but they were mostly underwhelming. The bang bang broccoli was good, but it felt like an overdose of sauce. The sushi rolls were extra disappointing because of the small size and lack of any discernable flavours. Having been to the sister restaurant in Yorkville, I was quite disappointed by the quality of the dishes here. The free spirits also tasted like soda...

Loved this place! The food was amazing, especially being vegetarian it feels good to be able to order everything from the menu. The best part was that they didn’t try to make anything taste like fake meat, it was just really good ingredients giving a twist to Asian cuisine with a lot of flavour. Loved all the dishes but would rank spinach shiitake at the top

Loved this vegan restaurant. They have good variety of food options which are all vegan. Would love to go back and try all the items on their menu one by one. Ambience is great and perfect for date nights. They have dj during the evenings as well. Make sure to have a reservation before you visit so that you don't end up waiting endlessly on Friday nights and weekends especially.

The food here is really good. We got the Unagi eggplant which was probably our favourite! The spicy roll was good too. They were out of juices so we got the free spirit Mojito & cucumber mule, both were good. The mango pineapple salad was really well done along with the dumplings & noodle dish. The service was fab and we’ll be back to try out other dishes!

Toronto's best Plant based restaurant, @planta has been a staple for many years with multiple locations. It's honestly such a beautiful place for date night or even a large gathering with friends this weekend. Ample seating options, gorgeous views and an upscale ambiance, makes this a perfect place for Vegan food. We loved the Bang Bang Broccoli and Dan Dan Noodles. Next time, trying their Sushi and Dumplings.

The atmosphere is perfect for meetings and conversations. The food was just outstanding. Each dish needed to prove something about the validity of an all vegetarian menu. And, they did. Out of curiosity I had “watermelon sashimi”, look at my picture. It looked interesting and it tasted fascinating. Loved the whole experience. And it didn’t break the bank at a clearly elevated experience level. Already dreaming of who to meet with here next.

Reliable, consistent, delicious, great service and fun seasonal features. By far my fave resto in the city. Food is always so fresh, tastes like proper food. You pay a bit more at planta versus other veggie/veeg restaurants, but you get what you pay for. Minimally processed, real ingredients food! All of the sushi, Caesar salad, Brussels, pad Thai slaw and general cauliflower are my go tos. If you dine in, must try the Thai Iced Coffee holy insanely flavourful. Almost ordered five more!

World class food, exceptional service — they know how to balance being friendly with creating an experience. Sushi all you can eat is Monday — best I’ve ever had. Plant based menu. Not your typical restaurant or menu though, they do a lot of different things with the dishes. Simple but very tasty. They’ve got the flavour combinations down as well. Really happy I went here and will be back very soon again.

Slowly building up the credibility on reviewing vegan/vegetarian/plant-based restaurants and I’ll say that Planta had a great vibe to it. Planta definitely has an Asian-cuisine flare to it. It also had some great cocktails (and choices)! Great cocktails and fresh juice; amazing combo. Would recommend the broccoli, the soup was fresh but lacked a sort of distinguishing flavour. Service was ‘meh,’ but overall a good experience!

Went on a Monday night for $8 maki rolls. All the rolls were amazing, and had a well balanced taste. Best part is, it doesn’t try to imitate meat/fish sushi, but every sushi is unique in its own way. Only one that wasn’t as enjoyable was the rainbow sushi, where the onion didn’t go well with the sushi. We also had the udon, which was creamy, and udon texture was cooked to perfection. They ran out of shaved truffles for my udon, but the waitress was able to give us 50% off on the dish. One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve had, and would definite come back whenever I am in town.

A delicious experience of vegan Asian dishes! The service and atmosphere were both wonderful. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll, Crispy Gyoza, and Dan Dan noodles. I was really impressed with the “tuna”, it was delicious! Got the texture right and the fish taste as well. The noodles were also delicious, loved the bits of gluten for the “minced meat” and a big serving that will keep you full! However, the Gyozas were good but nothing special or unique about them. I would recommend trying another dumpling. Overall, looking forward to go back and try more dishes, especially the sushi rolls.

The food here is delicious and yes I know it’s vegan (I’m not vegetarian or vegan). We got the peking jackfruit salad, udon mushroom cream with truffles, and the chick’n mushroom. We got the vanilla shortcake with passionfruit sorbet. Nothing disappointed and I’ll definitely be back. I can’t pick a favourite because everything was sooo good. Our server was really nice too and made really great recommendations! The chick’n fried bao is a must have! The truffle fried rice is pretty good too.

Delicious experience at Planta Queen. Service was fast and attentive without feeling like I was being rushed. Food was delicious - got the bang bang broccoli, the crispy rice sushi, and the peanut noodles, which was the perfect amount of food for my husband and me. Cocktails were tasty. Would recommend/go back without hesitation, though be aware that the music is very loud (cavernous high ceilings)

Gave it a try having never tried vegan food. Not my taste, but can definitely see the appeal as a vegan option. Presentation of food was nice. Very creative substitutions for meats that were visually and textually similar to the real thing. The atmosphere was a highlight. Unfortunately we had ordered cocktails which the server forgot, however they took them off the bill once they did come. Very generous. Would recommend to those looking for vegan options in the city.

Came here with a group of 5 on a Saturday night. One of the people in the group had a nut allergy and even though many of the items on the menu had nuts, they were very careful and accommodating by eliminating any nuts or cross contamination from menu items! We ordered the Bang Bang Broccoli (a MUST!!!), Singapore noodles, spicy tuna roll (made with watermelon instead of tuna), potato dumplings, and truffle fried rice. For dessert, we ordered the brownie and sticky date pudding (new on the menu and so good!). All were delicious (and vegan!) Atmosphere is amazing and there’s surprisingly lots of space inside. Staff was very attentive as well! The price was very reasonable (around $30 per person) compared to other restaurants of the same quality downtown. Will definitely return + the Yorkville location is just as great!

Although my husband and I are meat-eaters, we cannot say enough about our dining experience at Planta!!! It's like tapas, but with an Asian flair: dumplings, bao buns, rolls and an amazing Mushroom Truffle Noodle dish (they certainly did not skimp on the truffle and mushrooms!) Outside of the delicious flavours and fresh, quality ingredients being used, the value is incredible for downtown T.O.!!!

Absolutely tasty food with some really unique food and flavour combinations. They're well-known for their sushi, but I'd recommend choosing some of their more unique creations. I'm obviously biased because I am vegan and that is an important part of my lifestyle, but the prices were a little high for an average earner! Covid Times: guests were very well distanced, restaurant was very clean, good air flow. I felt safe.

I have heard a lot of good reviews and hype for this place and for me the food wasn't great. The waiter was really nice, but the rainbow sushi and truffle fried rice weren't good to me. Was really looking forward to this place as I went to their sister restaurant for my anniversary meal and really enjoyed it. Sushi was amazing.. probably some of the best I have had. Anything with watermelon in it is bomb!! Drinks were tasty and strong which l personally like. We both had the wonton soup and I will say it really disappointed. Presentation was fine but the taste was like murky water tbh. We still ate most of it because I really wanted to enjoy it but just couldn't. Rice in the main was cooked perfect but really lacked seasoning. Even some seasoning salt or seasoned soya sauce would have made a huge difference for the rice. Atmosphere was pleasant and I would definitely go back if invited out for drinks and sushi.

Just go here! Don't think about it, just go! It's AMAZING for any dietary choice. Everything is super flavourful, and reasonably priced. They have a gorgeous and intimate dining area and a fantastically friendly staff. It's all vegan but some of it you'd be hard pressed to guess the difference. Seriously, don't hesitate. Thanks Kevin!!!

Surprisingly great offering of vegan Asian fusion food. Much more of an Asian influenced menu that ultimately works better with vegetarian/vegan food compared to its Yorkville counterpart. However the reality is when you deep fry most of your vegetables, they’re going to turn out delicious. The crispy rice with ahi watermelon was surprisingly good despite my initial misgivings of replacing tuna with watermelon. Some other standouts were the oyster mushrooms, General D’s (who is this general?) broccoli, bang bang cauliflower, and actually all the desserts pictured (brownie, sorbet with forbidden rice, date pudding). The fried rice and bok choy were ultimately forgettable, and the use of curry powder in the former was a bit odd. Great selection of cocktails and the service was truly excellent. Serving sizes however are quite modest, particularly given the price point of most of the dishes (ours was a large group event so may be different). Though plant based fare is not my preferred type of cuisine, would certainly recommend this to my vegetarian and vegan friends (though they’re already aware of this place) and this location over the Yorkville one.

If you're unsure about going to a vegan restaurant, open your mind and go to Planta. It's mind blowing and everything tastes so good. I was a bit skeptical of the watermelon sushis but after trying them, I can say they're my favorites. A must have is the Bang Bang Broccoli, it's delicious and the spiceness is on point.

Phenomenal experience. If vegan food was always like this, I think the world would be fully vegan! Best vegan sushi I've ever had and the service/ambience are both great as well. A revolution is coming and I'm glad that it's led by restaurants like this that create such great food with so much love.

Best vegan restaurant by far. Inventive cocktails, great menu choices, sushi is a taste sensation. Truffle mushroom udon melts in your mouth with no stodginess. Service was a little slow but staff are really friendly which more than makes up for it. I would return and try everything on the menu!

Food was excellent, and the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. I strongly recommend the "Bang Bang Broccoli" small plate. The "Chick'n Fried Mushrooms" and "Spicy Tuna Rolls" were also quite good. And all the dishes are plant-based despite their names! Unfortunately, the dishes here are somewhat expensive. Due to portion size, you're likely looking at 2 to 3 dishes per person. My group split our total bill evenly amongst each other, and we ended up paying $35 each (before tips). That said, the food is good enough that I believe the cost is justified. Give it a shot and see if you agree. I'd definitely recommend going here at least once!
