Edit: 11 people agree! I’m so sad they got rid of the bagels. The bread isn’t a good substitute because it gets soggy and is smaller than the contents of the sandwich. If you read your reviews your bagel sandwiches are one of your best features! I made a complaint over the phone and apparently I’m not the only one who feels this way so although you might love your artisanal bread, your customers may feel differently. Being Gluten free is hard enough without people telling you soggy bread is just as good as a bagel lol

Loved their sandwiches. The toasted spadina was my favourite. The vegetarian one was a little bland but you can request for some hot sauce if you like. The staff is great. Their cupcakes and the lava cake were not the best but their cookies were delicious.

I've never been to a bakery dedicated to gluten-free with so many vegan options. They taste better than most cookies. I'd put them up as the top tier cookie experience. Just fantastic baked goods. They kindly explained to me how they make their baked goods, what kind of flours they use, and some recommendations for me. Highly recommend you try out their gluten-free vegan stuff, it tastes just as good as any excellent baked goods!

This cafe is very attractive and looks like a cute place to hang out, but the service is incredibly poor. When my friend and I walked in, the two girls behind the counter were having a conversation. I understand that, since the place wasn’t very busy. But after a while, once my friend and I completely perused the menu (which might have been about five minutes), we still weren’t greeted or even acknowledged by the two girls. We knew they noticed us because we were the only ones there. I would think because a place is so empty and devoid of business that the girls would be a bit more attentive and pleasant to customers, but that’s clearly not the case. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they change their pathetic service staff. I’ll give them one star since they at least they didn’t prevent me from entering.

Love their vegan and gluten free options. It was also so helpful that they listed the ingredients for each item. I bought two cupcakes and they were very crumbly but still good. The whip cream was creamy and delicious.

This is not a bad coffee shop. They offer a variety of vegan baked goodies and drink options. The store is clean and safe. Customer Service is good. There is no enough seating inside so it’s more like a grab and go coffee shop. It’s also pricy.

Gluten free treats! Highly recommend the muffins and cupcakes :) the cinnamon rolls were unfortunately dry and the cookies were crumbly but still delicious. Coffee is great and typically priced.

Came to grab a quick drip coffee early Sunday morning, on the way to see the Crossings art exhibit around the corner at Knox Presbyterian. They were very busy and it was crowded, but service was fast. Decent cup. Didn't get anything to eat, but look forward to popping back to try more from their menu! The hot sandwiches/melts look yummy.

Beautiful breakfast, I got the French toast and it was lovely. Atmosphere was great. I took away a star because our server basically told us to leave after an hour. She came over and said the next reservation is coming in and was she able to bring us our bill. My friend was still drinking coffee, and we were chatting etc I was at a table for two and there was 5 other tables of two around us that was empty! Due to this I won’t be rushing back, even though the French toast was fantastic.

My favourite place to go with my mom or my best friend! They both have celiac, and the gluten-free options are so delicious. I've been coming here since 2018. Recently, I ordered a cake for my mom for her birthday this past July, and the staff were so lovely to my mom. That cake was AMAZING. My usual is a cupcake and a latte iced or hot. I've also had their cookies and cinnamon buns too. Not a single complaint!

Really delicious bakery options (and everything is gluten-free to boot)! Items stay good for 3-4 days at room temperature, and even the breakfast bagels were tasty. Only area with room for improvement is seating; definitely not enough for their breakfast hours.

Very cute place that has tasty sandwiches that are packed with toppings, are a decent size, and aren't crumbling apart! Their desserts are amazing and it's a great place for anyone with celiac/gluten intolerance.

It's an amazing place. I would wish that they have more tables to sit comfortably to eat and drink your coffee, the space is limited. But, the food OMG I only have excellent things to say. I'm allergic to gluten, dairy and soy and Almond Butterfly is the only place I know around GTA where I can eat whatever I want without worrying about my allergies. Everything tastes amazing and is unique. You won't get disappointed.

I go because my friend doesn't eat gluten or dairy. Despite being gluten free the breakfast sandwiches are still top in the area. The prices are also reasonable for the area despite being targeted at dietary restorations. I find a lot of the baked goods too sweet. I'm very particular about breakfast sandwiches and all of them are great. Would recommend!

Dropped in today to the Harbord Bakery and was delighted! The best gluten conscious place in the GTA! Contrary to some reviews where people are complaining about petty things, they were fully stocked with EVERYTHING! The hard part is making a selection. I grabbed a few lattes (made to perfection with my request for slightly hotter than is standard), as well as their delicious Protein Balls and Muffins, (tried the strawberry/chocolate and banana/blueberry.) Absolutely amazing and almost all gone by the time of this post! If you have a sweet tooth, and lack a palate for clean, natural ingredients that are perfectly balanced, this might not be for you. It's a shame since many people have sugar addictions and can't fully appreciate Almond Butterfly, but I truly swear by this place and their creative delivery of healthy, gluten conscious and amazing flavour combo foods! Must try if you are in the area! Keep up the wonderful work, visiting the Bistro next time! P.S. small establishments have zero obligation to offer washroom facilities, according to building code design requirements. P.P.S. pre-order if you have a special need/occasion, otherwise it's first come first serve. I love businesses that understand their craft is unqiue and are conscious about mitigating food waste, better to sell out of product rather than have food thrown out at the end of the day!

Cozy place with a lot to choose from sandwiches to cupcakes! If you have breakfast there they gonna pack it as to go, but it’s ok. Friendly stuff, incredible coffee :)

I love AB’s hot beverages, baked goods and sandwiches. It’s the best gluten free bake shop/cafe ever!! I’ve had the Turkey and cheese bagel sandwiches, also ham. The chocolate chunk cookies, all the muffins, cinnamon buns and cupcakes that they make are phenomenal. The staff is always very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Great coffee on Harbord! Not tons of seating area, but I do love sitting on the front patio. Unfortunately, they serve baked goods that have peanuts, and so I can't have any of their food (I'm allergic).

First of all, I love that there are so many vegan options to choose from. Lots of beautifully presented pastries and an overall nice atmosphere in the shop. Prices are reasonable and they are in a relatively convenient location. It’s a lovely space, but very tiny with extremely limited seating, so keep that in mind if you’re hoping to sit inside. I ordered a latte and a cookie - both were fairly good. The service was slow and quite disorganized, likely because there were so many customers crammed in such a small space and it was difficult to determine who had/had not been served.

*** BEST CAFE IN THE AREA ***. accidentally came to the cafe instead of the bistro, but that's okay, had a great healthy brunch! I got the "Dave's fave protein packer" and it was so good! was just a little surprised it came with a bagel, I think it would of been better if it was a full on bun of some sort, fell a part while eating as a bagel, but either than that, it was fresh, healthy and the perfect light snack! My friend she got the chocolate & birthday cake cupcakes, she's not even a cupcake fan but she enjoyed them very much! the cupcakes were moist and held their form! The icing used is on the sweeter side, so if you have a sweet tooth, this is it for you! PROS • friendly & fun stuff • inside interior is attractive • tons of food & drinks & coffee to choose from! • outdoor patio to eat! CONS • hard to find parking we will be trying the bistro next time! definitely a cool place!

Great coffee, amazing atmosphere and super friendly staff. Plus: they offer free dog treats as you can see in the picture.

Almond butterfly cafe has been my go to cafe since I started at UofT. They offer a wide range of delicious gluten-free treats, from bagels and pastries to decadent desserts. The quality of their baked goods is unmatched. If you're seeking top-notch gluten-free options, Almond Butterfly Cafe is a must-visit. I wish there was more seating inside but overall amazing cafe!

The food is super yummy! I got a vegan avocado mash and it was amazing! It costed 13cad and I feel like that was a fair price. The atmosphere could be better for a cafe because it's very small but for a grab and go it's perfect!

Absolutely fantastic cafe with some of the nicest, friendliest staff in the city (they even skip the tip option on the machine when you only order a baked good!). The paleo muffin and breakfast cookie are my personal faves. Highly recommend.

Beautiful. The staff were the kindest people I’ve ever met. My mom was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease. This has made it tremendously difficult to find GF alternatives that taste good and are affordable. My mom and I definitely have a sweet tooth, but we find it difficult to bake things that don’t contain gluten as the final product is usually dry and tasteless. Almond Butterfly, you did not only impress me with your lovely selection of delicious baked goods, you made me feel so welcomed and heard as I stumbled in and frantically tried to explain that it was my first time at this café and I didn’t know what to choose for my Mom. I unfortunately didn’t grab the name of gentleman who was helping me, but he walked me through choosing some of his favourite items that he thought my mom would like. It was so nice to bring home baked goods that she could actually eat and enjoy!! Thank you so much! I will be back soon. ❤️ P.S. The cheesecake was amazing (I don’t think they always have it). It was soooo good. Also, their chocolate chip cookies are literally better than 95% of regular flour chocolate cookies. Love!!!

The place was very clean and cute, and I liked the colors and aesthetic of the cafe. I ordered the non-vegan grilled avocado and bagel melt and it wasn't great - the bagel was mushy. That was the only issue, but it ruins the eating experience heavily, because the wetness of the spinach and tomato starts soaking into the bagel. The Avocados and cheese was totally fine, but for $15 I'd expect better bread. The vanilla iced latte was the main redeeming quality about the meal.

They have the best coffee EVER! They have a good selection of food. The only thing I don't like, which isn't really their fault, is the location makes it sometimes impossible to even go in, there's no where to park. There's a few parking spots in front, good luck getting on, a 1 way street with usually no parking either is ur only other option if you're driving. not easy to get to walking or ttc either. The place is very tiny, so the line-up goes out the door and they r always busy. They're very busy because the items they offer are great and people will make the effort to go there, I know we have at great inconvenience.

Visited for the first time on Tuesday afternoon (May 25) and was picking up an order. Was delighted at how nice the staff was!! Honestly made my day. Everything in the displays looked so delicious. Tried the vegan chocolate chip cookie and it blew me away. Highly recommended! Caitlin (hope I’m spelling that right) was super kind and helpful behind the counter. Definitely will be visiting again! Thank you! :)

My husband and I go out of our way to grab food and baked goods here when we can, considering we live nowhere near here. They're just amazing at what they do and everything is delicious. :) It always makes my day better if I get to go to Almond Butterfly! Thank you for making gluten-free delicious!

Excellent vegan pesto bagel sandwich. Filling and satisfying. The breakfast cookie is also outstanding. Good coffee, too. Expect to pay a bit more than normal bagel shops. No cash. Thank you, guys!

They make delicious vanilla cupcakes! We've ordered from there countless times and we always get really good food. We've ordered cinnamon buns, dates, cupcakes and bagels, peanut butter brownies and their cookies. Also the yule log. You would never know they are gluten free - so good. We regularly make trips out to them. The other location does a great breakfast!

Nice gluten free baker with a lot of options (cupcake, cookies, bread, deserts and other sweets). Everything is vegan / lactose free. Perfect if you have tummy restriction. Coffee is ok.
