The place is quite good and clean but the food isn't really appealing to the eyes or the tongue. We ordered Wings which was the better dish. For mains, we ordered Philly cheesesteak and unchicken burger. The cheesesteak was really messy and the burger was dry. It wasn't juicy at all. The staff was quite friendly though. Maybe its the vegan taste that didn't fit my tongue or eyes but I wouldn't visit it again.

Highly recommended. Food is absolutely delicious. Service was very fast. Loved the Unchicken and Waffles as well was the Fries Supremacy. Also, the Unchicken wings were phenomenal

The buffalo chicken wrap was outstanding and the mushroom “clams” were very flavorful. The mac and cheese was slightly oily but very delicious. Fast service, great food.

Everything is vegan and at a freaking good price. Their coffee tastes good with soy cream and honestly, the chocolate mousse parfait is so damn delicious. Order the buffalo wings as they are freaking soury!

(Translated by Google) I ordered a chicken sandwich (grilled tofu) with tomato, lettuce and salad, my partner ordered a homemade hamburger (very rich, similar to a Vegetalex brand) and a poutine (potatoes, grated cheese and sauce). The sauce really tastes like white sauce but it was very tasty. The only detail is that I found the bread of the sandwich a little fatty, I understand that it is toasted and put a kind of butter on it but it ends up being a bit of an “oil” exaggeration. The rest all right, the staff very helpful and friendly, the place is spacious enough, I would definitely try the rest of your letter :) (Original) Pedí un sándwich de pollo (tofu grillado) con tomate, lechuga y ensalada, mi pareja pidió una hamburguesa casera (muy rica, de sabor parecida a una de marca Vegetalex) y de entrada una poutine (papas, queso rallado y salsa).

Food was great. I went with 5 co-workers and chose burger w/poutine and wings appetizer. Waitress was great and so helpful and friendly and she even offered to divide the shared Appetizer among our separate bills. Yes, we will remember the food, but if asked for a review by anyone, the service would definitely be mentioned. Our bill said our server was Mad Dawg, so I guess a nickname. Thanks for lunch Mad Dawg.

Delicious soul food without the over full feeling / “itis” that fried food comes with. Super nutritious and filling with decent prices. Would definitely come back even just for the Mac n’ cheese or chilli cheese fries alone 🤤

Last time the staff treated me equally to other persons so I tried this restaurant again. It hurt and deeply saddened me when the staff apparently thought they were being "sweet" by using Elderspeak/Babytalk on me in a condescending, patronizing manner. We mature women value Veganism and Mother Earth and we deserve respect and to eat in public like anyone else!! I politely requested your waitstaff X 3 not to use ageist, sexist Elderspeak against me (no honey, dearie, sweetie, cutie). She over and over again laughed at me and used Babywords/Elderspeak like "loveeeeeellyyyyyy etc, as though a 54 year old woman is helpless at basic human tasks like eating. It was very humiliating especially as I watched as the young couple at the table in front of me being served respectfully as human people of value!! In spite of me begging her not to , your waitstaff used Babytalk for Old People - slow, simple, loud sentences for the presumed dead or demented! UGH!!! Elderspeak: Babytalk Directed at Older Adults by, Karen Austin, ChangingAging Contributor About a year after I started volunteering at a skilled nursing home, I observed a set of new teenaged volunteers who came to help with a craft at the monthly meeting of the Red Hat Society. I heard several of the volunteers speak slowly and loudly, using a sing-song voice. In response, I saw many of the residents roll their eyes. Unfortunately, I had flashbacks to when I also first started as a volunteer. I altered my speech inappropriately as well, hoping to be supportive but coming off as patronizing instead. I have since learned to identify the features of elderspeak. More importantly, I’ve learned to change my attitude. At its core, elderspeak communicates a condescending attitude. And from that attitude the person’s language might demonstrate the following features of elderspeak: Speaking slowly Speaking loudly Using a sing-song voice Inflecting statements to sound like a question Using the pronouns “we,” “us,” and “our” in place of “you.”: “How are we doing today?” Using pet names such as “sweetheart,” “dearie,” or “honey” Shortening sentences Simplifying syntax (sentence structure) Simplifying vocabulary Repeating statements or questions Answering questions for the older adult: “You would like your lunch now, wouldn’t you?” In other ways talking for the older adult: “You are having a good time on the patio today, I see. And you have your pink sweater on, which you love. Right?” Asking people questions that assume role loss, idleness and powerlessness such as “Who did you used to be?” “What did you used to do?” Even though this list describes various ways in which people sometimes alter their speech when talking to older adults, a couple of misperceptions generate the communication problem: Elderspeak assumes that the older adult is dependent, frail, weak, incompetent, childlike, etc. Elderspeak assumes that the speaker has greater control, power, value, wisdom, knowledge, etc than the older adult listening. Elderspeak assumes that all older adults equally suffer from memory problems, hearing problems, energy problems, etc. Public health experts have found that when older adults are exposed to the patronizing language of elderspeak, their performance on tasks decreases and their rates of depression increase. Other studies show that even people with moderate to severe dementia can tell when people are talking down to them, and it decreases their level of co-operation.

Waiter was great, food was decent, fries were a bit over cooked. Food could be hot and use more seasonings.

If your looking for vegan comfort food than this is the place! Seriously delicious and trendy! We polished off everything we ordered and we can't wait to go back. Not only was it vegan but they also had a variety of gluten free options and a great selection of desserts. One of my favorite vegan restaurants so far!

Food is heavy and tasteless/bland. Felt bloated and unsatisfied after the meal.

A friend and I dropped in for a beer and a bite to eat one evening and waited half an hour for the server to take our order. Granted he was the only person working on the floor but he didn't come by even after making eye contact several times, he started coming towards us at one point but only to move a chair. Even if you've never worked at a restaurant before you'd think it would be common sense to go over to your new table before you started bussing and polishing glassware. So eventually my friend went up to the bar and asked if we were supposed to go up to order and his reply was "No, I'm supposed to come to you". No apologies or anything. It was a very bizarre experience.

Fist time there. Absolutely amazing food. Everything is plant based, delicious and they have a versatile menu! I got the "Bacon cheeseburger" with chili cheese fries. I had to look at my burger after the first bite to ensure there wasn't any meat! It was better than most meat burgers I've had. Sincerely, really flavourful food and great service! Space is a bit tight, but a trade I'd do any day to have their food.

Yummy vegetarian spot! I LOVED the “chicken” strips and Mac and chees. The greens seemed out of place, and I should have asked them to exclude them from my order. My meat eater friends said it was better than they expected, but wouldn’t come back. I’m glad that they came, and I got to have my “chicken” fingers :)

My husband and I tried this place for the first time yesterday. It did not disappoint! So refreshing to have a vegan-friendly restaurant at which you don't have to bother the waitress with a laundry list of meal substitutes. We shared an order of BBQ wings and homefries supremacy.... So delicious!! Food was cooked to perfection, prices were excellent, and the staff was very friendly. Definitely going again at our next visit to the city.

Amazing vegan comfort food. At walking distance from the TTC station. In pictures: vanilla soda cream, unchicken and waffles, beef stew, clams and buffalo wings. 💯 Good selection of craft beers as well.

Some of the best vegan comfort food in Toronto! Their “Chicken” is some of the best vegan chicken I’ve tasted anywhere, so big props on it. It’s cooked beautifully and it’s delicious. Their Mac and “cheese,” waffles, and fried cookie dough were excellent as well. The place was decently busy yet open tables were still available at early dinner time. As the night progressed, you could see the place packing up. They don’t take reservations so get there earlier rather than later. The service was very helpful and friendly, they knew their menu from start to finish and had a lot of good recommendations for anyone that was new to the restaurant, style of cuisine and the vegan lifestyle, like myself. Keep cooking! 5 stars!

I had the buffalo wings, mac and cheese, and bacon cheeseburger and do not regret it. The waitstaff is really friendly. They give you a big jug of water so you can refill at your convenience, which I appreciate.

This was my first proper vegan meal, and I highly recommend the tacos! I think I may just need another vegan meal to give this place a better rating. The staff is great with recommendations of food and beer. Give it a try

I typically really like the food and the vibe here. However the last time I was there the sever was very rude. The philly cheese steak was not great either. It was literally tofu on bread with cheese on it. I mean I know that’s what most vegan dishes are but I paid a lot of money for the tofu to taste like steak. Which it certainly did not. I will go back there but won’t order the philly cheese steak and hope they have a better server this time.

Discovered this place because of ‘ByFelicia’ while searching out vegetarian restsos in the TO. Visited, had the South Combo… plus two cookies, and left completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend and would return if only to have more Mac & Cheese.
