We had a good experience there, the atmosphere was calm, design and structure was neat. Brunch is a little bit pricey but the simple menu will help you find what you want easy and fast, there are multiple persian signs all around. The location is good you will be able to find parking spot near George Brown University or king Street itself. There are awesome shops and stores nearby like Saint Lawrence Market. You will enjoy your day off brunch or weekend as well.

My second visit to The Poet Cafe and decided to try one of their lunch menu items. The choices were chicken or chickpeas salads beautifully garnished with walnuts and pita chips as well as locally-sourced meat sandwiches. I opted in for their mighty looking beef burger which I was told is made from fresh never frozen beef sourced from St. Lawrence market just down the street. Wrapped in a slightly grilled pita bread, the burger was thick, juicy and well-seasoned. It also came with a side of chipotle sauce mixed with tzatziki that was flavourful and balanced. Needless to say, this being a cafe, you cannot leave without drinking one of their hand crafted lattes along side with a variety of Persian sweets. I will definitely be back on a Sunday to try out their famous Poet Brunch.

I’ve been wanting to try The Poet for a while now and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and fairly priced (I was stuffed) and the service was great. The vibe of the place is so wonderful above all, people are hanging out working or socializing so you feel at ease sitting there, no one is rushing you out the door.

Great coffee in a nice atmosphere with friendly Barista. If you'll be there a while they will allow you to open a tab. Internet is good, not great but good. The electrical plugs I tried to plug into did not work. Space was cold and drafty. Is nicer in the summer months.

A nice little place on king and Jarvis. It was brunch Saturday so they had a special menu. The eggs were not as runny as I would have liked but they were googey yolked. The Turkish coffee was good and sandwich was delicious.

Delicious Food, good ambience, loved the presentation and service. The only thing that I was not a big fan of the coffee. We got the sibzamini with the side of sausage which was very tasty. Great experience highly recommended.

The food here is truly poetry on a plate, and we loved everything we order. They have many meat free options. I particularly loved their poached eggs on labneh with a drizzle of Aleppo butter and dill - I have not seen this on any other brunch menu and it was very unique and memorable! Their decor is also very cute and very Persian inspired. Definitely check them out !

Really great brunch spot with nice service, generous portion sizes and good coffee. Got the Florentine Benny, and avocado toast options for brunch. Eggs could have been a little warmer, but would absolutely return!

We were visiting the city. The Poet Cafe completed our trip beautifully. The cafe is fantastically decorated with Persian items and icons. The food has a great taste and touch of Persia as well. We will be back!

Simple breakfast is so good! Coffee is also amazing. This is my go to spot in the area. Feels like a wonderful cafe from the west side. Good vibes!

Went on a Sunday and got their Sunday special brunch. Very Persian but not really sure if I ate things correctly? There were several small dishes of cheese, honey, meat to go with the bread. The rose honey was my favourite! The food was very unique and different from the typical brunch places. Got the tomato omelette for my main, absolutely delicious. You can’t tell what it would be or taste like just from the name and description. The eggs were baked to perfection, the tomato sauce very flavourful. Would recommend the dish! It’s a very filling meal but it’s a bit of a splurge at ~$25 for the set. Worth it for the experience and food though.

Cute little place that has delicious middle eastern brunch options. We had the spicy Turkish sausage and shakshuka. Both were great, but preferred the shakshuka. Their flatbread was perfectly done and so were the runny eggs in both dishes. Nice ambiance and location as well. Didn't try the coffee as I drink decaf but it has a good reputation apparently.

AWESOME CAFE !!!!! Absolutely Recommended. Interior design of cafe is so unique. We ordered SIBZAMINI and Juan-pablo TEHRANI WE LOVE SIBZAMINI more. TEHRANI was little spicy and the eggs was cold. Good service.

Breakfast options were very interesting! Prices were ok, considering portions and ingredients. But coffees prices seemed too high. Approx $6 for lattes but different options like cardamom latte, date latte, etc. Food could have been hotter when served. Cool poached eggs with hollandaise is not the best, especially since it was a cold morning. Also coffees needed to hotter.

Very cozy place for weekend breakfast. They have a fixed menu for weekends which is not same for Saturday and Sunday. You have options for omelette and like 6-7 small side dishes. Just to taste different jams, honey, cream and sausage (just to warm up ;) We paid 23$ plus tax per person. I would say a bit high when you compare with other AYCE place in city. But it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pay the visit, people there are super nice and polite. The vibe and interior of restaurant is phenomenal with great touch of Persian art and poems. Although I wouldn’t agree with the menu price, but i do recommend it and make sure you book in advance and won’t be late more than 5 minutes.
