Amazing experience. I made reservations for two and while we were super late, they were very accommodating. Service was lovely! Our waitress gave us free samples of cider and she was so candid with her recommendations, which I appreciated. (Try the Vanilla Spiced cider. It’s divine.) Food was surprisingly delicious. I say surprisingly because Her Father’s is so well known for their cider that people seldom talk about how flavourful and tasty their food is.

My friends and I went to grab some brunch on Sunday morning. Even if it was a last minute call the person on the phone managed to squeeze us in. The place was very busy! We had great brunch. My friends found the pulled pork a bit too sweet but they finished it all.

Fantastic place to hang out with friends and catch up. Their cider selection was huge and given the options, the opportunity to have a flight was perfect to help give people an opportunity to try different styles. Their food was also delicious and the service was just right. I'll definitely head over again to try their other food and cider selection.

Had a wonderful time at Her Father's especially since we effectively stumbled on it while walk on Harbord St on a warm, sunny September weekend morning. It opens at 10:30am and I was waiting a few minutes before hand to get in...to learn that it was mostly reserved for weekend brunch. Luckily there was a spot open on the very nice, open and surprisingly quiet terrace, however we would have been more than happy to eat inside the fun, casual interior. The menu had a number of unique twists on classic breakfast dishes like French Toast with Pumpkin Seed Nutella...see picture of the menu (it was a difficult choice). Our options included Mushroom & Pesto Benedict, Fried Chicken & Waffles with Maple Chili Syrup and Mushrooms on Toast with Beet Hummus. Everything was excellent! Service was also extremely pleasant as well as helpful, guiding us through the various menu options. Highly recommend (at least for brunch). Enjoy!

Some of the best service I have ever received anywhere. The servers were attentive to everything. I had made mention the day before we were attending a play and on a time constraint and my girlfriend and I were surprised when a server came up to us and said that "we know you're going to a play, so anything you need, let us know!" The food is also amazing. Very fresh and delicious. Highly recommend

Came here after all the rave reviews so I expected great things from this place! Definitely a cute vibe and a nice place to go for brunch with a friend or friends but I’m not sure it’s worth the mission. The staff were all nice but service was a bit slow in my opinion considering that it wasn’t super busy and took a while to get drinks and food. They had a pretty simple brunch menu and they were priced a bit steep for the portion and taste. Saw a lot of people come here for the cider flights and for brunch but I think I’d rather just grab drinks from here.

Had a really good experience here with a few friends. I love their wide selection of ciders and that they have flights! The staff was very knowledgeable when it came to our preferences which was nice. They were also able to accommodate us and moved us to the patio once there was a seat available. The food was good and came fairly quickly. Portions were okay for the price. Their fried chicken was crisp but it was a bit bland. We also ordered the mussels and confit yam fritters which were both pretty good. The orange and vanilla cake was super yummy! Would definitely come back again for the flights.

Her Father's Cider Bar is a stunning spot with gourmet food and amazing local ciders. The staff are welcoming and warm, and the venue itself is beautifully decorated and lively. My partner and I started our meal with a flight of ciders recommended by our server and each one was better than the last. We shared the buttermilk fried chicken and the mac and cheese (not pictured, too yummy and I forgot), followed by the brussel sprouts and the sous vide pork chops. Every dish was hot and fresh and amazingly delicious. HF doesn't advertise this as much as they should, but all menu items are gluten free or at least have the option to be made gluten free! This is a huge plus for my partner with gluten sensitivity, as it's hard to find a restaurant with this many safe options! Our server Justin was so friendly and attentive, and the owner Josh was an amazing and friendly host. I cannot speak highly enough of this amazing restaurant. Thanks so much for an unforgettable first experience. Can't wait to visit again!

We enjoyed the amazing brunch menu for a weekend lunch. The beef chorizo sausage hash was the perfect blend of flavours. The flight of ciders is a perfect sharing size for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised that we could pick any three ciders from the on tap menu. We plan to come back and try other ciders.

Service here is excellent and the ambience is nice. They have a wide selection of ciders and you can get flights of any 3 on tap for $14. The food is served tapas slide, which makes it pricy - about 15-20$ per plate. Some of the meat dishes are over $20. The food itself was okay, it was presented very nicely, but the flavours in some were lacking. The oysters, fried chicken dish and the Brussels sprouts were our favourites. Don’t recommend the gnocchi/squash and the croquettes.

This is one of my favourite places in the neighbourhood! The patio is cute and cozy, perfect for a summer night dinner. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts and buttermilk fried chicken. You have to try their homemade ketchup. Cider flights never disappoint. The selection is frequently changing. They also have very good brunch selection. I recommend trying the ciderosa!

Seriously loved this place. It's a nice cozy interior and perfect if you have a small party or are looking to take yourself out. I came on a seriously sunny afternoon day and it was mostly empty. My waiter helped me out with a drink selection as I'd never had a cider before and his recommendations were flawless. I went for the burrata which was very refreshing considering the heat. I also got the russet potato fries which were HOT and fresh, so yummy. Definitely would visit again.

Really nice experience here. Great tasting ciders and food to compliment. The ambience is really nice and it's usually not so crowded. Ask the staff for cider recommendations, you won't regret it!

I made reservations for a group of 6 - everything was lovely. I had the lobster bisque and mushroom risotto. I also had the cider flight and my favorite was number 1. There's a heated patio (if you reserve online, you'll need to comment that you want to sit outside). Almost everything (or possibly everything) is able to be made gluten free! It was very cozy inside and service was very kind and helpful.

The reason why I gave 1 star is because of the waiter services. So I went to this restaurant with my friend on July 11. The food was pretty good. While we were having dinner, the waiter closed the umbrella without noticed us but noticed to the table that sit right beside us and the table behind us. However, the umbrella was just right beside us. After the waiter closed the umbrella, there’s leave fell off in one of our dish. So I told the waiter what’s happened. He just say sorry and said will let the waiter know without having any compensation. I feel offensive as we are the only Asian there. We both felt they are racist. We were so disappointed as one of my friend highly recommend this place. I didn’t enjoy the experience there.

This was a really wonderful experience. Honestly love this place. First off, the staff were perfectly attentive and fun, which made our first time memorable. Daniel was an energetic host, and Kiki took great care of us. Great banter as well. We tried a couple flights of ciders, which were all local products - dry and sophisticated. Food was across the bored delicious. Fried chicken was a slam, and we loved the lobster fritters and short rib. Just a great place to spend time. Highly recommended.

Bustling restaurants with a great selection of ciders, quality food options a nice patio. Highly recommend ordering a flight (or two) to experience the multiple ciders on tap. For food we mainly ordered shareables with the halloumi and Wagyu sliders being our favourites. Definitely worth a visit if you are a cider hound looking for a quality meal and good time

I love this place! It is a friendly and cozy spot, equally good for a romantic date or a work meal. The list of ciders by the glass is ridiculous and the list of bottles is absurd. The food is creative and interesting with lots of complexity but a light touch. Staff are super understanding and will serve you exactly the meal you want, at the pace you want. I’ve been here three times and they stand as three of my best meals in Toronto.

Big fan of the brunch experience here. We had the chorizo hash - absolute standout, potatoes perfect and whatever that green sauce was, amazing. The brussel spouts were excellent. Confounded by the ‘apple pie’ - flavours were great but there didn’t seem to be a lot of ‘pie’ involved. I don’t always get deconstructed stuff but it was difficult to eat the apple. Still recommend everything else we had. Great atmosphere.

This is an amazing place. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the ciders. I'm definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. I'm not a vegetarian but the fried mushroom dish was the best vegetarian dish I've ever had. The apple ketchup was also very good.

Fantastic service. Highly recommend the eggplant dish and flight of ciders. They have some nice vegan options. Unfortunately the yellow jackets on the patio can be a bit annoying; it might be better later in the evening.

Very confused about the reviews for this place. Possibly just an off day in the kitchen, because majority of reviews are very good- but our experience was not. Service wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great either. Kind of felt rushed throughout our time there. All dishes we ordered had really great potential but the main ingredient was lacking flavour. The pork cutlet was our favorite- though the cutlet alone tasted like absolutely nothing. Portions are pretty small considering the price point. But cider flight was great! Probably wouldn’t come back for anything other than drinks.

Great night 👌 service and food were both excellent and the price point is decent. Brussel sprouts and fried chicken were standout dishes. Really fun place to go with coworkers or friends to try some flights.

If you like ciders than you will be in heaven. Largest selection of ciders I have ever seen. Service was amazing, I had some dietary restrictions and the server and the chef went out of their way to customize their dishes to make it work. Hats off.....great job.

We came here for drinks between events and were thoroughly impressed. The knowledge of the staff regarding the ciders was impressive and the range of ciders was substantial. They also had a variety of options for non cider drinkers. Cannot comment on food but I’ll be back in better weather for the patio as well.

Great place to come for ciders, and the service was great in terms of recommending and suggesting different drinks. The food menu is curated and small, and it's good but nothing special. Come here for the vibe and drinks, but the food might leave you a little lacking. Small portions, with some hits (pan crusted perch) and some misses (steak). Flights of drinks are a great idea.

I've come here a handful of times and have always had a great experience. The staff is extremely welcoming and attentive. Some gluten-free menu options as well (but not all). Brunch here is fantastic. Be sure to make a reservation though, because it can get quite busy.

What a cute, cozy and comfortable restaurant. The selection of ciders is unreal and the ones I tried tasted amazing and I'm not a huge cider drinker but I loved them. The staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. I do recommend you making reservations if you can especially on weekends for brunch. Totally recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely loved everything. The food was delicious (we had the brussel sprouts, the venison sausage and berries were absolutely to die for, the tiger shrimp, the buttermilk chicken). Everything from the food to the prompt & warm friendly service was outstanding. Sat outside on the heated patio but the ambiance inside seemed nice too. Will definitely be back. My friend was dining gluten free of which there were plenty of options.

Food were yummy and fresh like always. The Patio is a nice hideaway. Loved the cider choices as well. It's a bit in the pricy side since online menu price is different from the reality.

Amazing restaurant/ bar. Staff were quite knowledgeable and fun. Great place to try out a lot of ciders! Phenomenal menu from the chef. Every dish was hot and well paired and prepared. Ask about the house made hot sauce it is excellent. A tip...try it on the oysters. Recommend sitting by the bar and getting custom recommendations for drinks and food. Definitely will return with more friends and family.

It's a cozy place that's close to the university to grab a bite to eat. I tried a mainly a veg meal (brussel sprouts, cabbage rolls) and it was nice. I also had the fish tacos that were crispy and well-seasoned and I really enjoyed them. The "flight" of 3 ciders - lime, cherry, peach Chardonnay - was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. The service was attentive and prompt, and they were mindful of the fact that we had to leave at a certain time for an event. I would definitely go again to try other food on their menu, along with the cider!

The service was impeccable! Absolutely loved everyone. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and I loved it. It came with I think it was an apple ketchup? I absolutely loved it.my only critique would probably be that the food should be warmer. My friends got the short rib dish and club sandwich and it was a bit cold already. Other than that I had a great experience .

Great place with good food :) The chocolate cake was delicious! The staff is friendly and service is quick. By the end of the night it got crowded, so it's better to have a reservation. We took 3 flights and tasted 9 ciders. Our favourite were #6 and #3!

An amazingly great find, we were not looking for this place just adventuring. Happen to be with someone who loves ciders more than beers, so she was incredibly excited at the amount of beers on tap and to take home. The food was more than we could have even hoped for, ton of flavour and to choose from, made accommodations for one of the dishes as we had a vegetarian in our midsts. Talked with the owner and just about every server/waiter. Thank you for putting up with us and great cider food and service!

What a great experience! We dined at their outdoor patio and it was a perfect vibe. There are heaters to keep you warm once it gets cooler and the servers were really nice! Not to mention the amazing cider selection and food options. I can't wait to go back!

Her Father’s Cider is best for its ciders (which we tried and found to be ok) as the food was mediocre. The buttermilk chicken was our favourite out of the bunch we tried as it was super crispy and juicy! The trio of dips came with a hummus, carrot and beet dip. The hummus dip (green one) was our favourite, and we found the carrot and beet dips to be a little odd paired with the taro fries. The pulled pork quinoa and seared salmon were considered "mains" but were not filling. We finished in less than 5 bites so if we come back, we'll stick with ciders and grab the apps and mains from another spot. Service was friendly which is why we are giving it four stars instead of three. Check out Instagram @eatwithjessandjohn for more local eats!
