Great Mexican place! Getting seated took a while as there was a line at the door and the attendant was a bit slow but after that the service was faster and food prompt. The watermelon sangria as recommended was excellent as was the Wednesday taco special. I also liked the shrimp/octopus ceviche we got, though wish it came with more than just one chip.

An incredible experience eating here last night! We called to see if they had a table of 5 and the accomadated us with ease. The place is beautiful, beautiful decor, friendly staff and a very comfortable environment, the only thing I think could of used a little work was the bathrooms. Just needed a little more cleaning but with the amount of people that were there I am not surprised. NOW the FOOD THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! I went with my boyfriend (who is from Mexico and only been here for 2 years) and he said it reminded him of home. The food was phenomenal and we wish we could of tried everything there! We will definitely be back !

We tried really hard to enjoy our experience here at Milagro Cantina, but every new factor made that a lot harder to do. When first walking in, the dark and moody atmosphere looked promising. The cochinita pibil was extremely underwhelming. The slow braised pork was a fine texture, but lacked any sort of real taste. There was something missing, and that something was spice. The side of refried beans were the most disappointing of all. At first the dark colour wasn’t so much of a big deal— there are some dark beans out there. It was the first bite that just tasted burnt that was extremely off putting. These burnt beans were on both the main dishes we ordered and were equally as unappealing on both. The only thing salvaging this dish were the house-pickled habanero onions. They were delicious! Great spice and acidity that the plate was begging for, if only the other components of the dish stood a chance. Las enchiladas were disappointing in the spice department as well. Mild flavours and the taste of chicken was completely lost. Crema on top was a good touch, but couldn’t save the meal. Most disappointing was the queso fundido. Simply melted Gouda that was oily and inconsistent in texture. Not a single spice or pepper was added to the queso making it very difficult to continue eating. Not to mention that our appetizer came after the rest of our meal was already cleared since it was forgotten by the staff. Overall, the quality of food was not worth the exorbitant price.

The major point here is that for what we expected, the food was generally underwhelming and in some small ways also disappointing. None of the food was bad specifically but it was not great for both the price and the expectations around a decent taco place. The ceviche had some good octopus in it that was done pretty well. The shrimp was not bad but in general it lacked some depth. There was one large chip placed in it as opposed to being served with a side of chips as well which would have made more sense and we didn't know until after it arrived. The tacos again were not bad but they were just underwhelming. The al pastor seemed more like it might have been boiled instead of something like being roasted or skewered over a flame and left to develop a more deep flavor. All of this would be fine if it were a cheaper place but given the amount being charged it ultimately didn't lend itself to being considered a place we would want to return to. The service was decent though and the outside patio area is nice so there are some good aspects but again not something to choose as a destination based on only this one experience.

The outside is nothing like the inside in a good way. The inside looks very traditionally Mexican, larger than expected and yet cozy. The staff were probably some of the nicest in the city and the food was very lovely. The cod tacos were surprisingly the most delicious we’ve had. Also learned a new way to take tequila shots (with a Mexican chaser).

My husband and I love Mexican food. So when we ventured downtown on a long weekend and wanted some Mexican fix, we immediately thought about Milagro, which been some time ago. It wasn’t busy on a Sunday night, and we got a booth with some distance from others which we liked. The server was friendly and being Mexican, was also very helpful. We ordered a mixed civiche with octopus and shrimp and it was delicious. The portion was also larger than we thought. My favourite mole chicken came in a large plate and was well made. They never disappoint.

Good tacos, but the spicy margarita was fantastic, I could use more! I enjoyed it all. Bill adds up quickly, but worth it. Don't be situated dissuaded by the exterior and entrance.

Great service! It was a Sunday early afternoon, so it wasn't busy. We shared a few items. The prawn ceviche, chorizo quesadilla, and tacos al pastor. The device was a bit too sweet for us, but there was a good amount of prawns. Everything was very good.

We went here for a date night before a show and the food was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. The waitress went through the menu with us as it was our first time, she answered any questions. The tortillas were absolutely amazing! Queso was cheesy and had very stretchy cheese. Very filling! We had an appetizer, mocktail, two entrees and a dessert with the reasonable price of $100. The food made us full but we didn’t feel sluggish or heavy afterwards. I look forward to heading here again next time I am in Toronto!

Great spot, kind of easy to miss if you're just passing by, but definitely worth your time to stop by! Loved the friendly staff and the very nice interior decor. Above all the food was great, I had some chilaquiles and they were very tasty and filling. They also were able to accommodate for dietary restrictions! I'll definitely come back again and try other menu items and their wide selection of imported alcohol.

Excellent food, fantastic flavours. Mezcal cocktail selection is truly great. Staff were great to the point that they were checking up on us way too often, which felt a bit intrusive.

Mexican restaurant with cool vibe and friendly service. The table size is small though, so they have to clear the appetisers before the entrée can be served (so they enthusiastically removed mine while I was still working on it lol). Nice drinks selections too, different variances of margarita (which I did not have, so can't comment - friends seem to enjoy theirs), Mexican beer etc. The food is usual Mexican fare but good selection (I'm not as familiar with Mexican food - looks like a very wide selection for me), and I had the ribeye, which tasted great. Good place to catch up with friends. Was reasonably busy when we started at 7pm, was half empty by the time we left at 830pm.

I booked a table for two on Thursday evening. The staff were accommodating and friendly and the service was quick. The best part is the food as it's authentic and had good flavours. My favourite dish was quesadilla and tacos. The food was not too oily and we asked for more hot sauce. I would definitely eat here again!

Small location that houses authentic Mexican food. First off, they purposefully held the line to make it look like they were busy. However from where we were sitting at the front, there were plenty of empty tables. The server was very nice to us and explained the menu and the different drinks. When we did order, our drinks came and then our entrees even though we had ordered apps. Second, when our food came, the number of tortillas to meat ratio was underwhelming. Only three tortillas was give per dish which is definitely not enough to enjoy the flavours. We ordered the lamb and pork family bowls and to our dismay, the flavour of both was subpar for the price we were paying ($20+). We also ordered a negroni and a preparada michelada and they were very good 👍. After eating the family share plates, we decided to order an app (guac with tortilla chips) again and cancel our original app That by far was the highlight of the meal, it was fresh, the chips were crispy contrasting the rich guac with the salty chips. The total meal came out to 105$ and tbh, I don't think it was worth that at all. One time experience, don't see myself going back. There's better spots to go to that won't drain your wallet.

The cheesecake flan was very good. I really like flan (less so cheesecake) and my partner really likes cheesecake (but not flan), and somehow, we both really enjoyed this dessert and thought it tasted more like the thing we liked! My partner also really enjoyed his chicken tortilla dish, although he forgot the name.

Very central spot in the Entertainment District with a lovely patio. The guac and chips were surprisingly a lot better than I expected. Great place to try when you are starting out your night.

We went here a night ago and enjoyed a delicious dinner. The food was good and the service spectacular! There are a lot of options on the menu and none will disappoint. The central location is perfect for anyone looking for good Mexican while staying close to major events and attractions. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Excellent ceviche! Also had a good sea bass main, adobo chicken burrito was lovely, as well as a tasty tamarind margarita. Oh, guacamole was very good too. Good service, nice relaxed atmosphere. Definitely going back.

Expensive for the quality and the quantity of food served here. Great atmosphere though. The service could be improved as the servers tried to clean our table before we were done eating.

We went there on New Year’s Eve it was busy but we had reservations.. so getting the table was pretty smooth, service was really good little delayed (but of course it was expected as the restaurant was packed) loved the food. I had veggie tacos and it was delicious.. definitely recommend this place

I don’t know what to say but me and my bf’s stomachs were upset at the midnight after getting their food. We both got Tinga Burritos, the sauce was pretty greasy, but the taste was okay. However, I like the atmosphere and the decor, and the servers were nice and friendly.

Such a welcoming place! We walked in with no reservations and were quickly served (it was pretty empty at the time, considering it was just after the Jays' game). Harri, who hosted and served us, was super friendly, fun and knowledgeable. I was glad to eat at an authentic Mexican restaurant and the food was simply amazing!

This may have actually been the best mexican restaurant I've been to. To start we got some guac and salsa with chips which were some of the highest quality I've tasted. As a main, we got the platter to split among us and it was fantastic. The meats were tasty and juicy, and we had some deliciously creamy beans on the side as well. Then for dessert...the churros will not disappoint. I could have had a whole other serving all to myself.

The Enchiladas were so delicious. The ambiance makes you feel like you're on vacation. Very vibrant location. The mango colado was also tasty.

Authentic, and delicious Mexican food. My favourite Mexican food in Toronto, and one of my favourite restaurants. I never miss a chance to dine here!

Great overall, go here. Authentic Mexican cuisine, great atmosphere, prompt efficient service. The tostadas were top notch, and the burrito was bangin - would repeat and highly recommend

The guacamole was a little sour. The soup was a little bland but good portion sizes. Taste can be a little more flavourful.

A must when coming to Toronto. It’s a big restaurant with authentic Mexican cuisine. The type you would normally find in a little restaurant. The service is excellent. The employees know the menu and made excellent suggestions. They described the dishes as they were, illustrating very well the accent flavours.

Came in during lunch with my team from work. The servers were very accommodating when our confirmed attendees were more than the original reso. Drinks were yummy and food came out relatively fast for our big group. I liked the tacos but the rice was just ok (little bland). Would organize another work outing here for sure!

I absolutely love this place and wish I took a photo of our food. We made a reservation so we didn't have to wait to be seated. The server came very quickly and she consistently checked in on us. The only challenge I felt was when ordering the tacos I was unable to order the burrito as well. I thought that was odd but chalked it up to COVID. They also seemed to have changed their apps as I remember one item on there that wasn't there before. Will definitely return, I really enjoy the food.

Came in before a concert, never been there before. They were super busy so service was slightly slower, but overall amazing! I am not normally a fan of guacamole, but it was incredible! I had the Tacos El Pastor, my sister had the Tostadas De Tinga, absolutely delicious meals. We WILL be back!

  • 4/5 Jen E. 9 months ago on Google
Had the chicken tostadas, 100% would recommend. The food here is absolutely amazing, and reminded us of our visit to Mexico. Service is the reason a point was deducted, it took us a while to flag down a server if we needed anything, even to order or get the bill. Once we did get a hold of a server, the food and drinks did take some time, but that was understandable given that we were visiting on the night of a concert.

The enchiladas were excellent with corn tortillas and green sauce. The beans were some of the tastiest I have had. The Tecate was pretty good too. Will definitely return.

2 tacos & a small ceviche for $50. Quick to reset table: dishes being taken away as I was eating, then wiping the table for the next guests while I'm still sitting. Great spirit and interior.

We are new to Mexican food. The staff gave us some recommendations. We cannot recall all the name of the dishes. The food were very nice, tasty and inspired us. We will definitely come back to try their dinner dishes.

Great service but not sure if their price is reasonable for the food taste. They all missed some kick. Im not saying they were bad just not sure about the price 🤔 would be great if it was 2-3 dollars less per dish

  • 4/5 Gregg V. 1 year ago on Google
It was a nice experience. Very large restaurant with a lot of staff. Our server was not the most attentive as I think they were servicing the bar most of the night so that wasn’t the best but they were still very nice. The food was pretty good. Favourite things were actually the hot sauces that it seemed they made in house. Very nice flavour. The ceviche options were also pretty cool. We got the red snapper with mango which was a little overpowered with red onion. The enchiladas were nice and had a lot of sauce which was tasty. The beans tasted a little burnt unfortunately. Portion sizes are reasonable as well.
