Far Enough Farm

Farm Exhibit

😠 We visited today. So disappointing to see animals without any shade. Their pens are locked so they have to stay in the heat. Water bowls were filthy. Definitely putting a complaint in with the city and I took pictures. The llamas are severely under weight. Do better!!! People often mention animals, farm, kids, visit, nice, horses,

I got to pet a very friendly Zebu which was fun. However, the sizes of the animal enclosures were really quite small. There should be more space and enrichment afforded to the animals.

Far Enough Farm is no longer free of charge. It is now included in the “grounds pass” for centreville and costs $10 per person regardless of age (with the exception of baby in arms). Grounds pass does not include rides. I understand the lost revenue from the lockdowns and animals need to be fed but $40 (family of 4) for what would be a fairly short experience isn’t worth it. Used to be a lovely place to pop in and see but we wouldn’t pay $10 for what we remember of it. Maybe if it had more animals or more experiences for the kids like a petting farm then it would be a different story.

A great way to show kids from the city some farm animals up close. They loved the experience and learned a lot from the onhand staff. Donations were welcomed to help maintain the farm and no fixed cost charged, which enables families in all economic situations the ability to benefit from the farm.

Poor animals! Rabbits living alone and don’t have any green foods. Some birds are alone too. Screaming like getting sick and crazy in this cage’s. It’s so loud there because of the tourists. The horses don’t have any more grass on there mini pasture. This island is big enough for more space! You can make it better!!!! Animals shouldn’t be a tourist attraction.

Took three stars off because of the poor conditions of the caged peacocks. A male and a female adult peacock is caged where they barely have space to fly up to their nest and flap their feathers. Also, no one is monitoring the cage and I saw some visitors hit the cage and frighten them - it was so upsetting yet none of the employees did anything to prevent that. The other animals were very cute, but seeing the peacocks is making me question how the other animals are cared for.

We had a very good time checking out the animals. The staff was very friendly/helpful that day, and it's a free farm. However, because it's not the height of summer, half of the animals were not available to see, and it wasn't really operating as a petting zoo yet. My only real criticism of the place is that it seems like some of the animal enclosures are very small, but I don't know what happens to them at night, or if they are transferred anywhere bigger. Overall, good experience.

My heart breaks for these animals. The conditions are not the worst I have seen, but they are bad. Specially this poor Amazon. They are failing on so many fronts, it tells me this poor bird is not under the care of avian/exotic vet. They are missing basic care that you can Google. He needs an indoor outdoor aviary. This cage is not adequate. It’s not clean. There are no adequate toys, no foraging opportunities. They are using dowel perches (causes bumblefoot and arthritis). I didn’t see fresh chop or quality pellets. His food seems to be a seed mix (terrible for their livers). PLEASE close this place down and surrender these animals to sanctuaries that can care for them. Shame on you if you don’t.

Haven't been in many years, not since I was a little girl, but fell in love with the big horses who were more than happy with me petting them and enjoying my attention. These horses have undoubtedly long gone to the Rainbow Bridge (I believe I last visited in 1990/91) their memories live on with me. I also loved the swan boat rides and have fond memories as well of the "pony" rides; seem to think they used full size horses? Long overdue for a visit!

There's a big tractor kids can climb on and lots of animals to see. For a no-minimum donation, you can pet the animals. You cannot feed the animals. The staff is friendly. The place feels crowded but the kids really liked it.

Cute little farm that has no entry cost, but they do accept any donations to take care of the animals. We had fun walking around but there weren’t many animals to see. Quite a few of the enclosures were empty. My little one loves animals but wasn’t able to see any here as they were far away or asleep. Hope to visit again this summer!

Such a cute farm located right in Centerville. There are a good range of animals to visit and there is no cost to entry. The grounds are clean and enjoyable to visit.

The poor animals are stuck in 2x2 metal cages. Hardly any water or place to play. They just sit there for the amusement of customers.

This is a cute little farm on the Toronto Islands. Definitely worth a visit if you're on the Islands. My only criticism would be there could be more shade for some of the animals. They should put in a bit more tree coverage.

Of course we love the farm! It's one of our kids' favourite places on the island. It's gotten bigger since we were last there, I think. This farm and other island attractions are a nice refuge from city life.

Kids 10 under had a great time. Close and near the animals with lots of space . You can ask questions, take photos and or just hand around.

Love the farm. The staff was friendly & it was so nice to be able to pet the animals. Really nice quick & short getaway from the city. The peacocks are so beautiful & so are the parots & horses.

Very nice place with positive atmosphere. Better come before dinner , because animals need their space.

The animals were all so tiny and so adorable. This is a great place to bring children and just a great family outing as part of the Centre Island experience. You have the ability to come up close and personal with the animals and they animals look at peace and well care for.

Seems like the animals are sad. Not many animals. Too much work to get to the farm with a stroller and toddler.

This place is so lovely! All the animals are very sweet, they have horses, lots of birds and even cats roaming around. It's free to go to and a very fun stop while exploring the islands

Great place for kids. Not a lot of animals but still a good experience for kids and adults alike. I found the White peacock to be the main attraction!!
