Visited during Doors Open Toronto 2023. What a marvellous interior! It felt like being in Italy...And kudos to the elderly female volunteer on the second floor; even though it was near 5PM on Sunday, she was still really kind and proactively showed us how the organ "pump" worked/used to work, which is a very cool behind-the-scenes feature. She also proactively asked us if we would like to have a photo taken from the balcony. I didn't ask for her name but I hope the church can find her and give her a shoutout!

I recently had the chance to attend a wedding at St. Paul’s Basilica in Toronto, and I must say, it’s an incredibly beautiful and grand structure. What’s surprising is that, despite driving past it all my life, I had no idea this majestic basilica was right there in the city. From the moment I stepped inside, the basilica’s splendor was evident. The priest who conducted the ceremony was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the event. This added to the already heartwarming and spiritual atmosphere of the basilica. One of the most striking features of St. Paul’s is its large halls located in the basement. These halls are not only spacious but also well-maintained, making them perfect for hosting various events like the wedding I attended. The artistic highlight of the basilica is undoubtedly its ceiling. Adorned with beautiful art, it captures both the religious essence and the artistic heritage of the place. It’s a visual treat and definitely worth seeing, even if you’re not there for a religious service. Speaking of services, the basilica offers a serene and uplifting environment for mass. The spiritual ambiance, combined with the architectural beauty, makes it a great place for worship and reflection. There is also plentiful parking at the front of the basilica. In conclusion, I would highly recommend St. Paul’s Basilica, both as a place of worship and as a site to appreciate architectural and artistic beauty. It’s a hidden gem in Toronto that deserves more recognition. Whether you’re there for a specific event or just to explore, it’s a place that leaves a lasting impression.

Oldest catholic church in Toronto. We visited during doors open event. The volunteers were very kind to engage and answer questions. It was very interesting to learn about the Last Supper painting. Very tidy place. The stained glass windows are very pretty. My only disappointment was that the paintings on the ceiling are wallpaper. But it is a very well maintained property.

Visited this church for the first time this spring as a part of Doors Open Toronto. The space is breathtaking and learning how it received Basilica status was quite interesting. (Be sure to read the plaque near the entrance)

A beautiful Church . First day as a Catholic at this Church, l was greeted with warm smiles and hello. The congregation definitely not standoffish like ,l have experienced at other Church mass. Definitely making St Paul Church my Sunday home of worship🙏 😄😆😊

The most beautiful church in Toronto, a real sense of Irish who settled here in the 19th century. Lots of parking. The Basilica has been renovated throughout. Strange notice in the new ladies washroom "Don't Urinate of the Floor" Live and learn.

Beautiful spacious church with comfortable seats and inspiring decor. Main problem is terrible acoustics. The speaker system could use some work.

On Good Friday, we were able to attend the Holy Mass and received communion as we were doing Visita Iglesias. There were quite a number of attendees, was so solemn.

The oldest catholic Church in Toronto. Located in downtown of Parliament Street. Has a colourful history. Beautiful paintings on ceiling. A small parish, limited services. Weekly confession. Fr. Bob is a very friendly and warm parish priest. Active community service. Good parking facility. Limited hours. Closed early

Beautiful church. Well kept, clean, nice audio equipment. There’s onsite parking lot which gets filled quickly. You could park on the street as alternative.

What a marvelous and stunning ceiling painting, a basilica at the heart of downtown Toronto highly recommended to visit or become your goto parish for religious rites. The facility is well-maintained and very clean, good ample parking spots and location.

One of the historic churches in Toronto. We've attended christmas evening mass. The service, the choir and everything else was just so immersive. This christmas was really special

Beautiful basilica. Gave me Holy Reverence when I see the talents given to the people that built and created the building, the statues, and the paintings. So blessed.

Gather Mikes an interesting character. Sort of outspoken bordering on obnoxious. For a man of God he rather comes across more like a street facilitator. All kinds of people in the world so I’m sure there are people who disagrees with my opinion and who likes him. The basilica itself is very conveniently located but parking can be a challenge.

Absolutely beautiful. 100% worth a visit if you are in the Toronto area. Two stars off because I am actually agnostic.
