Stayed here 4 months during the summer. They did not clean washroom during weekends for 2 months making them extremely gross. Kitchen facilities were fine although extremely dirty on the second floor. For a student dorm, it is perfectly fine.

Stayed here for 4 days in June while visiting a friend for a wedding. There was not special about this place but it was pretty much exactly what I expected and what I wanted. The room was clean, private, and safe which were the main things for me. It had a desk, a small passable bed for a couple nights, wifi, two clothes hangers, a towel, a mirror, a bar of soap, a water cup, a fan / heater, window shades, a single pillow, an extra blanket and that was basically it. The bathrooms were shared but the showers were all private. I didn’t mind sharing a dorm style bathroom for a couple days and in my mind it was definitely worth doing so to save some money. The location was good for me. It wasn’t in the heart of downtown but I was able to use the city bikes located right by the dorm and get anywhere I wanted with no issues. Check in was super easy. You basically just get a key fob that lets you get in the building, your floor, and your room.

facilities are not good. shared restroom was quite dirty and old and towel should be more clean. They didn't provide me a shampoo, bodywash and etc. Only good thing is location. the size of room was fine. But if I knew these before, I would have stayed other hotels even though I have to pay more money. Not bad but not good either.

It’s basically a dorm room. As a university student myself, I rate the rooms here a 5/5 as it’s far better than most US dorms I’ve lived in. That being said, it’s as barebones as it gets, all you get is bedding, a pillow, a towel, and a bar of soap. The toilets and showers are shared. I suggest bringing your own shampoo and shower slippers. Also, I suggest you only come here as a solo traveler or a small group of 2. Multiple room bookings are not guaranteed to be adjacent or even in the same building.

For a single budget minded traveller this isn't a bad choice. The best thing it has going for it is location. Can't be beat at this price. Some small improvements would really improve the score. A better towel, a thicker pillow, a bar of soap that doesn't look like it was made by squishing together smaller soaps, allowing early check ins, a little TLC for the aging showers. Small improvements that would go so far. That in mind the building is secure, quiet, and the common rooms are clean and comfy. I would stay again, but only when staying alone.

Late check in, rude staff, dirty rooms. Not worth the price. The room was not comfortable, I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels travelling and this was by far the worst. Had I known I would have paid extra for a hotel.

It's a terrific location, just one tram to downtown and the water front. It's a nice neighborhood. Rooms are basic and are clean. Perfect for the price. Staff was nice on arrival. Showers and toilet are clean. Even a good view of Toronto from my room. It's really the best deal to stay downtown on a budget. I recommend and will certainly return every summer.

Staff wonderful, room perfect except for the mattress which rates as one of the worst I have ever tried to sleep on and I have been a world traveller since the 1970s!

A truly wonderful evening celebrating a friend's 85th birthday at the faculty club. Food and service were top notch!

These folks have been very accommodating to me even if a little side handed, " hard to explain here" easy to book on line excepts debt I am not a student, but the room rate is very reasonable even for non students during the summer months room is clean and tidy wifi available showing is in a common area, and includes trans gendered bathrooms for those who wish or need them. Storage is available in the luggage room by check in desk, and the student staff are awesome!

It was quite a big room for one person. Very clean. Easy to check in. Bike share Toronto nearby. Close to downtown. Nice shared bathroom area. No issues at all during my stay.

The area is quite safe, there is lots of security in the surroundingd and in the building itself. Room are basic but clean. Ilike the fact that they have quite hours, so you can rest without noise. ROM is within walking distance, and there is free overnight parking on the street.

10 minute walk from Bloor Street, tram stops right outside the campus and can take you north and south so very convenient if you are in need in somewhere just to sleep and go somewhere else. Room is basically a desk, chair wardrobe and a very hard bed. Room was very ward even with air-conditioning set on "coldest" But for 30 bucks a night it was OK.Shared bathroom for the whole floor was always clean, no noice from traffic or outside in general. WiFi was free, but kept cutting out for about 2 min every half hour which can be annoying. I spent 3 days here which was more that enough. Wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.

I find that anywhere around the University of Toronto for the working trade person it's it's an unorganized unethical place to get anything done. Unfortunately I would rather get paid less and work somewhere where I can find and have accessibilities of getting my tools on to the campus area and define reasonable parking. The University of salt is beautiful and students in faculty are always seeming to be polite and It's professional but as for a position of trying to do upkeep renovations repairs chin's repairs the University needs to work on that. As we work in a society now turning to green unfortunately doesn't apply to everyone someone like me I require to bring an extensive amount of tools and and availability to my vehicle so I can get the things I require.

What you'd expect from a dorm. Clean, military style rooms, cafeteria style food, common washrooms. Location is good. There's a streetcar just there

Absolutely not recommended! The price is low, but it's still way too expensive. Even in prison the accommodation is surely better. You must bring everything towels, soap, toilet paper... The cleanliness and dilapidation of the rooms, bathrooms and showers is pitiful. Good luck if you are able to sleep despite the excessively noisy ventilation and the springs of the mattress piercing your back.

it's a scenario that works well for everyone but it's a lot of hit and miss in check in time
