I am not gonna say anything bout the room yet but I called you guys like 5 PM today. I don't know who wwas working at your front desk but that lady was super unprofessional. She sounds irritated and angry. When I ask about room services, she wasn't ready to answer any question easily and kept saying we are full but atleast listen to the customer that we want a room after few weeks!!...and when I told her that we might looking for room with bath tub coz we have someone with back problem she replied like there's a burden on her and BOOM she hung up!!

Gagan was the lovely gentleman who checked me in for my stay. Throughout the stay he was not only attentive, respectful and so well mannered but he made me feel so welcome there! On one of the nights we got chatting in the lovely little dining space in their lobby while he made me a tea that he offered to have me try out after I had called him in a panic because I was having a little bit of a shaky nerves that night since I had been staying alone. Breakfast was great, the lovely lady who was in charge of the breakfast bar one morning was so sweet. Wifi was fast & I had no issues! The room was so cozy and the heating worked perfectly on the cold nights we were seeing lately. Thanks Gagan for being so down to earth!

Staffs are friendly and accommodating. I don't travel a lot. But I like how they just let me do my thing alone in my room. I like the privacy. I feel like I got shafted though having to stay in a room where the traveller next to me was smoking. The rooms outside are kinda prone to the smoking smell/smoking area. Hm, the upside is at least I can bring in and eat my breakfast there in peace more easily. 😎 I loooove the breakfast. Location is also quite chill as there are quite a lot of low budget but yummy restaurants by walk around the area. But it's a place that requires car to get around. Well at least I tried the rooms upstairs and they are free of the irregular smoke smell. They're wider but also a bit more stuffy.

Something is absolutely wrong with the management of this hotel and that’s saying a lot considering I used to manage the company that provides staffing to Monte Carlo Inns and Banquet Centres. I never thought I’d disrespect the hotel’s name, so I’d like to call out the manager Pradip for doing the absolute least and being the rudest, most unprofessional manager to work in hospitality. He lacks communication skills and should not be speaking to customers or managing the front desk. Booking.com had to call him multiple times and I even had to merge calls so he would pick up the phone. Essentially he wanted to refund my stay since I booked the hotel for a friend and she only had a health card upon arrival. Booking.com also had to let him know that if booking for a friend the room is prepaid for and ID & credit card from me is not needed even though he insisted that it was. I offered to Uber over and check my friend in and he said the police would be called if she tried to enter the property. That’s not the way to respond to someone after wrongfully turning them away after they bus 2.5hrs to get there. Anyways after speaking with management they quickly offered a refund as I can see the goal was to not refund me at all. Pradip said call booking.com and a refund would be issued. Booking.com sent more than 5 emails to confirm my cancellation. The manager claimed to never receive them after spell checking his two emails multiple times and providing titles so he could search it. Booking.com also tried calling to resolve the issue, I called 5mins later to have him boldly lie and say no one called. Booking.com and I called multiple times and Pradip kept getting frustrated and saying “this is not how refunds work.” Booking.com then explained to him how refunds worked and had to make an exception for my refund since he was unwilling to respond to emails and give the written confirm for their POS system. Finally got my refund without the help of Pradip and I’d just like to say whoever hired this man is disgracing the name of the Monte Carlo Inns as well as making it hard for Monte Carlo to work with third party booking sites. I will be reaching out to your contractors to offer staffing replacements in the upcoming weeks. Thank you.

They charged us $300 extra for movies which we didn’t even watched. In fact we didn’t turned on the Tv. These guys are totally frauds and the price was bit high compare to the services they are providing. When we checked in the room was dirty. No shampoo and handsoap in the bathroom. There was no water in the room. Very very bad experience. Will never suggest anyone to come here even if they are offering for free.

The cost was somewhat excessive given the quality of the services they offered. The room was filthy when we arrived and was devoid of water. A truly awful experience. Also they charged us extra 250$ for the tv shows which we didn’t even watched. I was successfully checked out and suddenly after 15mins I received a call from their staff that they are not going to give me the security deposit back because I watched the movies. I will never recommend anyone to come here, such a disgusting hotel I have ever been. They are scamming everyone like this charging extra for movies. The room was not cleaned properly. Bathtub was dirty.

I would give zero stars if I could. I checked out in 20 mins. The room smelled like a public washroom, washroom wasn’t clean properly, bedsheets had stains on it, the wifi did not work, and the moment I sat down on the bed, my skin started itching. I left 20 mins after because I could not stop scratching and was left with rashes on my body! Do not recommend at all!!

Rooms were very outdated & dirty, particularly the bathrooms. There was dust and grime in all the corners of the floor and it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and moldy. The air conditioner/heater unit was pretty loud and couldn’t be left on which made the room get cold throughout the night if we left it off for too long. The bathtub didn’t drain well, making the shower water accumulate around your feet (very gross)… Giving it 2 stars only because the full breakfast was the best part of our stay (really good coffee too). Otherwise, I would not recommend this place, especially for what they charged us per night.

I have been here several times over the last 10 years and never really had a problem with the place. Parking is free and so is wifi. Employees are polite and friendly. They offer a continent breakfast but there is no actual restaurant on site. There is a Tim Hortons about a 2 minute walk that is visible from the motel. But if you want a real breakfast place, there is Montreal Delicatessen & Family Restaurant. It's not very far from the motel.

My recent stay at Monte Carlo Inns was a mixed experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was generally friendly. However, the outdated decor and amenities were noticeable, and the noise levels from nearby rooms were a bit bothersome. With some updates and attention to detail, this hotel has the potential to offer a more pleasant stay.

For this type of motel I was very happy with everything! The room was nice and clean, it was a little strange that there was a sink outside the washroom and not inside as well but that's not a big deal. The breakfast downstairs is a nice extra and the staff are very courteous and helpful. Only good things to say about my experience here! Thank you!

We made our booking through another company. We intended to stay for 4 days but plans changed and we would only be there for 2. The front desk informed us to call the 3rd party company and they would issue the refund once confirmed. Long story short we weren’t getting our refund. However upon checking out today Raj at the front desk insisted we try calling again for our refund, we did and we got our refund with no problems. Thank you Raj!! Best service we have had at a hotel in a while. He could have easily kept the extra money but he insisted on helping us save the $300. Thank you thank you thank you!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was okay - but not for more than 1 night. I was really disappointed overall. The room looked clean - that's everything I can say on the positive side. I think that is the first time I have to rate a hotel with not more than 2 stars and I stay almost weekly in hotels (around the whole globe).

And we are Back. Couldn't be happier. The front desk alway amazing. Couldn't ask for a friendlier face. The room. Just smelt fresh and clean when we opened the door. Mary did an amazing job, makes staying in a hotel room just that much nicer. The staff are all amazing. They go up and beyond for their guests. Not only were we here for my procedure but also my son's bday and were treated like part of the hotel family. Thank you again. We Will be back!

The room was filthy, they obviously didn't change the sheets or clean anything fingerprints all over the place. Walls are super thin you can hear the conversation in the room beside you. The room was small, and their TV is weird. The breakfast was pretty basic but wouldn't eat anything the eggs looked weird, hard boiled in some yellow liquid, muffins hurt my partners stomach pretty bad.

This hotel wasn’t what I would consider filthy by any means but it really needs some updating and deep cleaning. The best way to describe it is dingy. Every surface, furniture, walls, floors, shower, bedding, all had issues. Scuffs, stains, or just dirt. Most of it looked like it was from prolonged use and either needs to be updated or replaced. The room I was in didn’t have any issues with smell but there weren’t many pros. They offer continental breakfast but it’s isn’t even a separate room. It’s part of the lobby that just has a partition, half wall, type of configuration with a couple of tables. It isn’t something I would necessarily recommend but it did the job on short notice.

I was there for several times. Yesterday was there as well. And it was really a terrible experience. They provided me a room facing the parking lot, out of their secured gates. It was like an opening to the parking, no privacy. The most terrifying part is someone was trying hard to open my door several times. My partner was that much scared couldn’t sleep the whole night. In the morning I left quickly for my appointment.

I usually like Monte Carlo Inns but the lower level courtyard room here didn't impress me. Firstly, It was confusing to find. I had to carry my luggage down stairs, although would have been easier directly from back parking lot. The lack of security on the door (that is open to the outside of the building) worried me. I'm guessing upper level rooms would feel more secure. In the future I would avoid the courtyard room.

Overall a good experience. The room was a bit older looking But was acceptable. I was real happy to find a room in the area due to the snow storm closed roads and cancelled flights. I'm pleased enough I would go back again and would recommend it

The bathroom smelled really mildewy and the bed sheets had lots of hair on them when we arrived- we used our own blankets. We found lots of stains on the wall behind the bed and on the bedskirt and a cucumber next to the bed. Cheap place though.

If i could give it zero stars I would. The air conditioning didn't work so I was extremely hot all night. I sweated all through the night and my hair is dyed bright red and some of the dye got on the pillow. This never happens to me in properly climate controlled environments. I was forced to pay 35 dollars for a 5 dollar pillow by a very rude front desk person.

What I would expect from a 3 star hotel. Decent rooms...though outdated with some visible plaster damage on the ceilings in some areas. Washroom and shower were fine. Cleaning service was fine. Small desk and chair were adequate for my laptop work needs. The only thing that fell below my expectations of a 3 star hotel was the bed in my room. It's felt old and the springs felt worn. Since it's the only piece of furniture in the roomnit gets a fair amount of use...maybe it's just my room but they definitely should replace that bed.

Rooms- Way smaller than you can think. Just have enough space to keep the bed in and that's it. Some rooms even have the sink outside the bathroom. I travel alot, and this is by far the smallest room I have seen. If someone is walking outside, it feels like they are inside the room. No noise blocking, and that is very annoying for someone who gets light sleep. Space is an issue overall I think, as the hotel is very small in size. Be it breakfast space, or anything else, it's all congested. Service- Housekeeping came the first day but we denied the service as we woke up late, but they never never show up again.

this place is a dump, would not even take a shower here, no security, deadbolt or latch, room in basement, access by outside, 2 sets of stairs, neighbors"chatting"outside at 3 am, thermostat broken, had to turn off completely

Had a great time there, very nice and quiet. Only issue I had was that the breakfast area is a bit too small. The staff are really nice and friendly.

My experience, Room was old, old furniture, old bathroom although clean. I was shocked that my room, 109 was accessible from outside, motel style. Temperature control was too cold or too hot. Outside noise from what seemed to be a washer/dryer outlet sounded loud all night like a trumpet(almost always on with over 60 dB's and when off under 30 dB's!) . There online pictures of the rooms look nothing like the actual thing. See my pics.left early in the morning for work after a sleepless night, came back around 17h30 and explained the situation only to be told it was too late to change rooms and that next time I should tell them in the morning. There will not be a next time for me!

Please do not miss this review! This is a run down motel. The room smelled like cigarettes, I'm certain the beds were dirtier than the floor. We didn't have a choice, so we stayed. The alarm went off at 3am in the morning because other intoxicated hotel patrons were smoking and set off the alarm, keeping us all awake till they turned off the alarm at 4am. The hotel staff said that if we called in and complained, we would get a refund for our room. I called a couple of days later and they said that they will send a refund. I didn't receive a refund and when I called back a second time, two weeks later, they lied and said that they gave me my money in person. Try to avoid these 2 star hotels. This one is next to a strip joint,

Recently stayed a night here for a show in Toronto and it was very comfy! Amazing and kind staff/housekeepers who check in when needed and are helpful with anything you need, offering a cup of coffee or tea as well :) Room was a little older but that didn’t effect the cleanliness or comfort of my stay at all. For such a small place they offer quite a nice breakfast (baked goods, cereal, toast, bagels etc) in a nice little kitchen/seating area. For a stay that’s cheaper and clean and 10 minutes Uber/Drive from Kipling Station I would totally recommend here.

This is a great hotel, conviently located just a short drive from downtown Toronto and bear the highway. The staff were great, very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a good stay. The rooms were typical, nothing fancy but good, clean, comfortable and the price was great and affordable!

  • 4/5 J B. 10 months ago on Google
Pros: room and surfaces were clean, close to public transport, hot water was very hot and water pressure was good, bathtub is nice and deep, breakfast, parking and wifi are free, staff was courteous, close to large shopping centre. Cons: wifi is very spotty, see-through curtain in bathroom window, fixtures and furniture/decor are older, walls are thin, very busy street and driveway is easy to miss. Not fancy but clean and comfy enough for the price. Would stay again if the wifi issue can be solved.

This is my first night. let's see what else we can see

Good price in GTA. Rooms ok. Limited items buffet breakfast. You will like it. But if are careless during watching TV is room, just 1 click will buy a movie. Hotel will charge during check out. If you have kids, be careful.

This place was great for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was very simple: cereal, croissants, bread, milk and some fruits. Don't expect eggs, bacon and hashbrowns lol. Otherwise the light breakfast was good. Free parking is perfect and location is ideal. Only 25 minutes from downtown when there's light traffic.

The room was weird. The toilet sink was in the room, I haven't seen that before. The lighting was dull and depressing. The front desk agent was amazing though, we had a nice chat and I found out he was left-handed which was cool. He was the light in the depressing establishment.

Aside from a phone call the day from them asking us to pay in advance while booking.com clearly says pay it the day of at he hote(then them verifying we will for sure be there) l and then them not having our room ready after knowing we would be there by 3pm it was fine. Would use them again when the prices drop.

Staff were pleasant! Overall clean and pretty quiet. Didn’t end up with much breakfast there but it was overall a good experience! Would definitely stay again. We booked so we could walk to M4 and that worked out great. Lots of great local food options.

Room was super clean, very nice fellow at the front desk who recommended a good Italian restaurant nearby. Great location close to shopping and highway. This place is a gem and reasonable price for our family of 3. Next trip to Toronto, this is where I'm booking again!

Great place with breakfast included. Make sure to get a higher room on the 4th ideally but 3rd floor is good too, floors. Mary at breakfast and Asher were great too as was Pradeep both at reception. Spent about three or four weeks there so I know what I'm talking about! You can take your breakfast to your room in the morning, the best cab company is not the one provided at reception but AA taxis, the GO train station is near a Walmart about 10-15 minutes away at a normal walking pace, and is near a shopping area lot. The room I had was great on the 4th floor the decor is nice however the bedding whilst initially satisfactory was replaced by an older bed cover that I swear changes the room entirely to one that would be described as a 3-3.5/5. So yes a great place needing a few improvements but great service for the most part, decent cleaning of rooms, varied continental breakfast ample parking and a great location for North America (USA/Canada). Would recommend I suppose.

Pretty typical hotel, some minor repairs needed but overall good. What made this trip great was Minac the front desk staff. He was great. Very accommodating and friendly and helped us solve our crazy night issues. He deserves employee of the month

Do not book in this hotel! Turn around! Bed bugs alert! Service is so terrible! Staff gave me attitude in my check-in saying they didn't expect me and didn't apologized when they found my name in the system. When I found the bed bugs, I speaked to the manager. But couldn't do anythinf just because I booked through Expedia. So he gave me his card to call for a free night. Which I did but they ignored me completely. I kept calling and stop answering.

I stay here often for work and pleasure and the staff are always very nice and helpful. I had an issue once and Purdeep made it right immediately. Today I came again and was greeted with the usual pleasantries, except this time Raj presented my with a holiday bottle of red wine 🍷, very unexpected and very appreciated. Thanks guys and happy holidays to you all.

Omg this place is such a small gem. Super clean and good service too, compared to other expensive hotels that I visited while in Toronto. More over, love that breakfast is included in the cost. I think I would visit again.

It was very hard to open doors with the keys there was a problem with the lock itself and the person on the desk said he was going to send somebody down but nobody showed up. The room was a direct door outside and it just happened to be snowing that day it was a horrible experience for the first time at this type of inn.

Gentlemen at the front desk was awesome! Very friendly and very accommodating. The room was good but unfortunately the bed was not comfortable at all, i could feel a spring through the mattress as i slept. Also, the rooms are definitely not sound proof, we could hear everything going on in the hallway first thing in the morning. Overall, the staff is what would make me return; super friendly!!

So I booked this place a little hesitant after reading some other reviews about safety, quality, etc. My partner and I ended up bringing extra things like doorstops and cleaning supplies because of this but we ended up not really needing them. We booked a double queen room with jetted tub, and it was absolutely worth the extra money. The room was clean, sheets looked new and the tub was very clean and functioned great for being older. The building was quiet, and I never felt unsafe outside or in our room. The only thing that was maybe poor quality was peeling paint in the bathroom, but that’s about all I can say for being negative. I had no problems with my damage deposit returning, and so far haven’t been randomly charged for anything. Great little restaurants nearby and not a bad drive into Toronto at the beginning/end of a day.
