My room had bed bugs. I found three in the morning. One on my shoulder and when looking around 2 came out of the headboard. I let them know at the front desk. We left for the day and came back later that night. They checked everything and assured me they didn’t find any or a trace of any. We went to the room and I found another one under my pillow. I went down to the lobby and let them know. They sent someone up who couldn't find any. We were told there was nothing they could do as they were fully booked. After standing at the counter for an hour they moved me rooms. Offered no apology made me feel like I did something wrong. We had to wash everything when we got home. I felt so disgusting, luckly it was only me who got bites, my husband or my kids didn't. I am terrified I brought them home with me. The service could have been handled much better.

Front desk and manger on duty in June 30th morning is extremely unprofessional. The service level is way below expectation. I’m titanium member with Marriott and I want explore what’s experience of Hilton elite member. Both elite benefit provided complimentary upgraded based on availability service. The front desk is a trainee with limited knowledge. He has no passion to learn and make up his own thinking of policy.I asked if I can get upgrade in the stay since it’s a Wednesday during the pandemic and hotel is clearly empty. He said I already got upgrade from my previous stay so I need to pay for the upgrade. The Hilton policy clearly stated based on availability not previous benefit I received. I understand he is a trainee so I kindly ask him to check the manager on duty. He phoned me 5 minutes later and said the manager said they cannot do the complimentary upgrade because I got upgrade before. I felt upset about their service level so I read the policy and ask him to check again. He said he will ask his manager. Another five minute later, he called and said they are able to give me an exception of upgrade this time. But this is the last time of upgrade. I will have to pay if I want to get upgrade next time. They feel like I’m begging and take advantage of the hotel. I’m dissatisfied at their service level. So I decide to go back to my sweet Marriott hotel with professional service. I stayed over 75 nights in hotel due to business every year. And the service is not acceptable. 1 Trainee should always check the policy or ask manager to provide accurate answer. And this guy handle inquiry by making up policy. 2. The manager on duty can always step up to help their trainee and phone client directly. But he or she choose to be a boss and let trainee pass information three times. 3. The brand provided elite member benefit to attract client. And they treat it as client are taking advantage of the hotel. And they are giving the benefit out as mercy. The communication and service I received is not acceptable. Worst experience ever.

The hotel was good for our purpose. Close to the highway. Lots of young hockey players in for tournaments-that type of hotel-good thing. Breakfast was average but staff were so nice -leave them tips please. They work hard. Gym was adequate. Room was average and clean. Free parking. A few restaurants around and a Costco if that means something to you.

THE HOTEL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY: The hotel does not check the batteries of their door locks and when they are dead, they lock is open for anyone to enter. Our lock batter had died without us or the hotel even knowing. The hotel room was open all night and someone walked into our room in the morning because the battery in the door was dead, causing the door to be open the whole time. Not only was our privacy invaded but this was incredibly unsafe. Not to mention our time that was wasted. We had to go up and down several times because the hotel staff thought a new key would fix the problem. We wasted hours and our whole day was ruined only to find out they couldn't fix the problem 5 hours later. We should have been moved to a new room right away. Management has done nothing to rectify the situation since then. We deserve a full refund.

Mike at front desk is unnecessarily aggressive and extremely unprofessional. He escalates minor scenarios from 0-100 in under 30 seconds to the point of invading your space, calls you nasty names and tells you to get the hell out even when you are trying to de-escalate the situation by walking away. Mike actively looks for a problem with you and when you try to reason with him will continue to berate you. His anger issues are overbearing. This is an ongoing issue that is never resolved as looking back in the past year alone of reviews there are 8 similar complaints and now here is another. Seems Hilton is comfortable with people being treated this way continuously and woman being intimated by a very angry man. Shame on you. Mike does not have the proper skills to manage a front desk of a hotel or any establishment at that and deal with people in a inviting manner, but rather with a miserable look on his face and looking for trouble. Mike is an embarrassment of a representative who requires anger management courses. Hardik the GM can easily verify this encounter by checking security footage of the front lobby on Tuesday June 27th, 2023 @1:30 am.

I used to stay at this hotel just because they have free Tesla chargers, however there is a fee. $2.4/ hr, which is higher than other charging stations. The app is not using friendly, it does not have a lot of charging stations, mainly download and add money just for the stay. I ended up charge at Tesla charging stations.

The Worst Hotel Staying Experience I Ever Had, I was traveling from US to Canada with my brother and Uncle when We got to the Hotel it was like 2:00 AM we were so tired , there was an gentleman in the front desk, I think he was from overseas but he said his name is Mike , he was so Rod , Impolite. He didn’t even give us an extra blanket and pillow , I don’t know what was wrong with him, I think had a bad day. I was trying to be nice with him but he didn’t even smile for a second and he was so aggressive , before we booked a room on the advertising showed 2 queen beds and 4 people can sleep. Which is the same thing here in US and it’s common , but he said no you have to a book another room for the other 2 gusts my uncle and my brother , we didn’t care to book another we could do that but if he requested that nicely, the important thing is the customer service in a hotel and the Hotel is responsible to hire an educated person specially for front desk. So if someone has a plan to book a room call them before make sure how many guests can stay in one room , to make sure Good luck 👍

On the map the location looked right for our trip. However, it is not simple to get in and out of their parking lot depending on where you are going. Also the traffic in the area around Woodbine and Hwy 7 is terrible (I had a short commute into my work). The staff were nice, the room clean, and the breakfast was better than average for a hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights for family vacation. Location is good, close to wonderland, lots of restaurants around. Overall a ok hotel. Staff is nice and polite. Room can be cleaner, especially carpet. Sofa bed is low quality. Coffee is available at evening, but not before 11am, which I don't understand. I wouldn't recommend unless nothing else is available.

Many pluses and one minus ! Fast protocol completion by the Front Desk Manager. I like the Gym facility, well maintained and functional. Room cleaning of twice in a 6-night stay is a No No. Nonetheless, the Breakfasts were excellent, and location was close to relevant restaurants, shops and bus stop, and hotel location was just a few minutes drive to my place of business assignment

The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable but personally the pillows were horrible. I should have brought mine from home. TV channels are basic Rogers but no guide not even on channel 5 which was odd. Very comfortable air. On the 4th floor so no view to speak of. Room darkening drapes. No movies available to rent. The complimentary breakfast was nothing special but adequate. Although they say that no charge early check in is available 4 phone calls were required to get it. It's quite pricey. Tried calling the desk and no one answered.

We normally stay at Homewood suites but Hamptons was cheaper for the week we were going. The room is an ok size. We did prefer the big fridge and kichen at Homewood. No bedbugs, but needs better cleaning. We found hair in our bed. A belt in the sofa bed, and used soap in the shower. During covid times, we do expect a certain level of cleanliness. Room temperature was good. Staff is nice. We used the pool once and there were no towels. The free breakfast is a nice perk, but i found that they end it too early. They need to extend the hours. Their dining room seats 60 and if you go between 8-9am, its very difficult to find a table. The food area is always over crowded and chaos. The waffle maker is great but be prepared to wait. It doesnt matter what day of the week, its always a frenzy at breakfast. We were there monday-friday. The 2 people working the kitchen struggled to things refilled during peak hours. They need to hire more people to work breakfast. I found the hotel to have an issue with maintaining stock on things that need to be refilled. We often had to ask for things. In general a standard hotel to rest your head and nothing more. I would no recommend it but i wouldnt tell people to stay away. A forgettable hotel. Location is amazing but lots of better hotels in the area.

Credit card was charged more for the room than what I was quoted. Security deposit was refunded promptly. Booked a room with 2 queen beds and received a room with 1 queen bed and pullout couch. Both the bed and couch were extremely uncomfortable as they were lumpy and springy. Front desk staff were unfriendly. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Staff was friendly & accommodating. Parking was very accessible. Great central location to shopping centers & various amenities. Rooms were clean with all necessary toiletries. Room provided mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with coffee & tea) A/C & heating worked very well. Black out curtains. Great variety for breakfast.

Rooms and property were very clean. Hotel was in a great location. The breakfast was one of the best I've had. Only downside for me was the bed was too firm and the pillows were uncomfortable (but that's more of a personal preference).

The hotel itself is quite nice. The complimentary breakfast was more than we expected, and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. However, the area seems to have some issues. We witnessed an intense fight in the parking lot where seven police officers and an ambulance responded, bringing a man away on a stretcher who was kicked while nearly unconscious on the ground. When we got into our car in the morning after checking out, we also learned that our car's catalytic converter had been stolen in the night while we were parked in the lot. Sadly the thieves weren't particularly careful when they cut out a part they'll make about $100 on, so it led to a pretty hefty $2,000 repair bill. I'm not sure if there are security cameras covering the part of the lot nearest to the 407, but apparently, thieves aren't deterred. I'd strongly suggest guests be cautious of where they're parking in the lot if they want to save the hassle of spending several thousand on repairs and avoid the headache of dealing with insurance. The room itself was quite nice and clean, though the view of an ongoing assault wasn't ideal.

Mattress is too old and too soft, you sink deep in it. Carpet old and dirty. The ventilation system made a very loud noise i could not sleep. They had to turn it off the next night. Hotel is not well kept needs renovation.

Clean rooms.....booked because the other hotel I wanted was fully booked...... I was sad with my small microwave and fridge....I'm used to rooms with kitchenettes, this hotel chain can afford to upgrade to kitchenettes. Not bad, not amazing......staff needs to work on their customer service skills and the rooms need to be updated.

Tesla charging stations are not working, there is no notification at the hotel entrance or on the website, front desk doesn’t know anything. We always stay with this location, but this time room is not clean, the bed sheets has some kind of dirty mess and the bathroom towel has some brown spots, we took some pictures ….will not stay at this hotel again

Well. Came to this hotel specially for the destination charger. After coming here I found out the chargers were closed down. The owner of the hotel decided to turn the power off to all the destination charger and installed different charger where you have to pay to charge your car and is slow charging as well. When I asked the front desk about why it’s not working, he try to tell me that Tesla decided to turn off the charger. When my husband told him that he knows about Tesla the guy in front desk started yelling at my husband. He was like I will see what you can do. He also told me to ask my husband to “Obey” people. Avoid at all cost.

I'm extremely disappointed with this service and quality of this hotel. $200 a night!! I expect a cleaner room and better services. The bedroom had bed bugs and dirty sheets and not enough towels in the bathroom..

The hallway carpet wrinkled and in bad need of vacuuming. The carpet in suite stained. The worst of all the air in the suite extremely stale. There was no fresh air allowed to come into the room. None. If I had a CO2 sensor, I'm sure the air quality would fail. This used to be our favorite hotel in Markham. Not going back.

Nice hotel. Stayed here a few times. Rooms are clean and in good condition. Staff is friendly and efficient. Included breakfast is fairly basic but is nice time saver. Best feature is the EV charging on site. This was a deciding factor for me as an EV driver. They have a lot of Tesla and Level 2 J1772 chargers which really made it convenient. Good location and easy to get on highway. I recommend!

I was very unhappy with our stay. I’ve stayed in this chain before but was very unhappy with this location 1. Very large group checked in. We came back from a funeral very sad. Only one clerk and there was 15-20 people in the group. 2. Was told that a pull away bed would be in the room. Upon entering no pull away bed and 1 extra pillow for queen sofa bed. We’re told sorry cannot bring you one up, come down and get a pillow we cannot give you pull away bed although was on reservation. We requested 3 pillows they gave us 2. 3. 4 people in our party 2 being kids they gave us 2 waters. Not very courteous. 4. We left for certain my daughter Umbra water bottle on the night stand beside the Sofa bed. They have claimed it wasn’t there when I called back which was 100% false. We forgot to come up back after breakfast. 5. There was no wifi. I spent 30 min trying to speak with front desk. Wouldn’t work. 6. The phone to call to the front desk wasn’t plugged in. Took 15 min to play with cords trying to make it work. This was a very disappointing stay at a very high price point. Not happy at all.

Spacious room with a unique layout. Very clean and comfortable. Quiet except for one random angry (possibly sports related) exclamation we heard from a room while walking to ours. Nice selection of breakfast that seems to run later than other places we've stayed which is appreciated. Parking lot was very slippery and a bit tight, but we felt safe parking in the back lot which was properly lighted. Staff were very professional, understanding and flexible. Would definitely stay again.

Room was nice and clean and the location was good. However the service was disappointing. All over their hotel they have messages plastered along the lines of “making you happy, makes us happy” and a “100% happiness guarantee” on their counter. I called in the morning to ask if we can have a 1 hour room checkout delay and the front desk said no. I personally dont believe that a 1 hr delay complicates things too much. Especially considering I have a long drive back home and would have really appreciated even just 1 hr more of rest.

The hotel/Room and the was clean and nice. I was also satisfied with service and breakfast. But there were too many people being very loud until like 3 am at the lobby/bar. I think it would’ve been quieter at camping for that time. And nobody tried to stop those people from making loud noises either.

Quick checkout and check in. Hotel was clean and all amenities are good. Upon arrival I was asked for a credit card for incidentals(hotel was prepaid by my employer) 5 days later there was a charge still showing on my credit card($150). After a phone call the person answering the call assured me the money was released and to wait one more day. The next day still a charge, after another call was told my bank was still holding my money. After half an hour with my bank they said the merchant had not released the money. So another phone call and was told only the manger could look into the issue and he would be in in about 30 minutes so to call back in an hour. The next call to the hotel I was told the money was released and when I said the bank had not received anything from the merchant I was told the Hotel deals with a third party and it was up to them to notify the bank. When I protested I was told only the manager could deal with it and he was not in and they didn't know when he would be in. Now waiting for a phone call from the elusive manager. I don't like the idea they are giving me credit card information to a third party without my knowledge and not taking responsibility to clear up the mess. Will adjust my rating depending on the response if any from the manager Update: The manager(Hardik) phoned me the next day to help clarify the situation. He assured me the money was released even though now a week later it hasn't disappeared from my card. Hardik did provide me a letter saying no money was owed so I can follow up with the bank.

We've stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and the place is showing its age. The amenities could use some updates. The breakfast was also terrible. I'm pretty sure it used to be better than it is even for free breakfast.

Internet is horrible. If you didn’t need internet I’d give it four stars. Unfortunately we live in a world of internet. It will disconnect you for inactivity and make you go through their rewards program subscription every time. Front desk knows the internet is bad

The hotel over all is okay, but the front desk staff are all friendly. Gitshis the best guest service agent! He was able to help me due to my flight cancelation and room switch. Would definitely considering coming back because of the service.

This place is not bad but could use some more effort. First the pool has to much chemicals in the pool. A pool should have light amounts of chemicals. second the food is terrible I had eggs hashbrowns and sausage the sausage was a little thin and the eggs were just yellow that's all I can describe and the hashbrowns were not that crispy. Everything else was pretty nice. Nice staff etc

Disgusting. The front desk staff is rude aggressive. No professionalism at all. Instead of addressing the concern, members at front desk particularly the person ‘Jay’ was rude and he yelled in front of my family. Don't go there if you have alternate means. Tesla destination charger is switched off and they are promoting other third party charging stations. I felt humiliated and disgusted.

Rooms were great, service was excellent. Breakfast was below average if you are vegetarian.16 TESLA EV charges installed at the location and not a single one made available to guests only because they get commission and few dollars back from the highly expensive third party vendor AmbuEnergy who have installed 4 stations and probably made a deal with the hotel. That is sad because customer service was not taken into consideration.

I understand this is a 3 star hotel . Didn't expect anything fancy. However I do expect clean sheets and towels!. The pulp out bed didn't have a sheet. The guest services doesn't answer the phone. Had to go down the request sheet and pillows. The sheet has 2 red stains ( looked like blood) and they gave us only 1 pillow. The guy says " sorry we are poor" . One of the towels had an orange stain. Overall...dirty and disappointing. Will not recommend. Oh let me add that paid 350 a night for this garbage

Nice clean hotel, lots of parking and close to amenities like restaurants and stores. Could have more variety with the continental breakfast as some of my party are vegans and the restaurant options were limited in variety. Overall an average experience.

There are a number of excellent choices near this hotel. The front desk staff is unfriendly and disregards all requests. The hotel does not pay attention to even your smallest requests. More importantly you are not getting what you pay for / uncomfortable beds - see through sheets - towels that needed to be replaced a year ago - I don’t usually stay here - but visit north York / Markham regularly for business. Trust me every other hotel near this one is a better choice. Very sad representation of the Hilton/Hampton brand. Needs a visit from the franchiser,

If you love barking dogs at all hours of the day, this is your place. The staff will tell you they are addressing it. Which I think mean saying “ bad dog” and that’s it. But this must be a hotel/ kennel combo so you are stuck. Also there is very limited parking with the 2 hotels side by side. So give yourself extra time (a lot) as you might have to wait around for someone to leave the hotel to get a spot. Or cave and just go up to Costco and walk to hotel. I was told the manger was going to call me after my check out. But no call so far, 3 days later.

Great stay here at the Hampton Inn. Everything I've grown to expect and love from Hampton Inns: friendly staff, neat lobbies, clean rooms, clean hallways, adequate fitness centers, decent continental breakfasts, free parking, daily room cleanings, efficient (dual) elevators. Great location right off the 407 on Woodbine Avenue and near the 404 and Highway 7. A few eating options in the strip mall next door. A gas station with a Tim Hortons is next to that...both easily walkable. Few notes: Parking was generally okay, but was tight on Saturday night, as expected. We were able to find one of two available spaces at that time. Parking lot can be entered through the adjacent strip mall parking lot, or through the rear. There is no direct parking lot entrance from the main road (Woodbine Avenue). Iron was pretty old...it made ironing our event outfits (2 suits and 2 dresses) quite a task.

I am a Diamond Member a few years consecutively. This hotel location does not offer upgrades as it should comparing to let’s say a Hilton Resort Property which is only a 10 min drive or less down the road. As a diamond member I do not recommend this location, as on busier weeks this hotel rather make an extra 30$ a day rather then show appreciation for their loyal members. The hotel does look decent, but spend the extra few bucks for a more upscale property to truly feel like a Diamond Member with all the treatment and complimentary upgrades one should receive !!!

We booked 15 rooms for 3 three nights for a recent hockey tournament. Very disappointed that the hotel could not accommodate any later checkouts on Sunday morning when the team had to play an early semi final game. Many of the players had to miss the breakfast and families were late to the game having to pack and checkout by 7:15 am. Appeared to be a very minor inconvenience for the hotel and a very big inconvenience for the team. Sports teams should look to stay elsewhere as the hotel staff does not understand rep team tournaments and commitments. This hotel needs to be more flexible if they want any business. Team managers should make sure the hotel will offer later checkout if requested. It’s too bad because the hotel rooms and facilities are good.

Great hotel and staff, I frequent Hilton and know what to expect upon check-in at Hampton Inn by Hilton. Perfect budget option for Hilton quality. The beds are true Hilton comfort, rooms are spotless and modern. The breakfast is basic, but has everything you need and it’s included in the room rate. I want to shout-out one staff member. Channel is one of the greatest front desk attendants we've had the pleasure to deal with, she truly loves what she does and it shows in her work, always takes care of all our needs, and fixes any issues promptly with true empathy. Highly recommend this hotel.

Clean and cozy modern hotel. Great amenities and friendly staff. The breakfast had a great selection and all the fruit was fresh. The room was comfortable and the location had an LCBO, Costco and restaurants close by. Saved to my favorites and will definitely stay again when in the GTA. Deep was very friendly and helpful at the front desk.

Stayed two nights at the hotel and ended with an unpleasant feeling by the service of the breakfast. The morning of March 16th, 2022, because of waking up very early, my brain was not that clear. I didn’t notice there were different spoons in front of the scrambled eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes(they were in a combined container). I accidentally used the spoon for the scramble eggs to scoop the fried potatoes after I took the scrambled eggs. Then the lady with dark short hair in the blue shirt who provided service for the breakfast blamed me “There’s different one for each, why you use this one!” Then grabbed the one I used to wash like I’m the germ. I was so shocked! Who does she think she is? A strict mother? Excuse me, I’m not your poor kid, I’m the customer! What does “Why you use this one” mean? Implying I’m stupid? If I did something wrong, tell me politely, not in this rude way! She should work on her attitude! I felt so not respected! She made my day miserable! I won’t come back to this hotel. Thinking of this hotel reminds me the bad experience. Even thinking of “Hilton” makes me not feel comfortable. I’ll also share my experience with my friends, my colleagues. Customers deserve better service.

Great place to get some rest, plus lots of restaurants and places to visit nearby.

    1. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, but does show some age. The first thing I did was to check for bed bugs, and I was happy that I did not find any. 2. Breakfast was limited in selections, but surprisingly delicious. Different coffee choices was a plus. 3. The most important thing to me was their WiFi did not disconnect me from time to time like other hotels. I was able to do video conferencing and watching YouTube videos without a hiccup. 4. Its location is really in the center of everything and has easy access to everything else in and out of Markham. The downside is heavy traffic during rush hours and can be very tricky to enter the parking lot from Woodbine Ave. That's why 4/5 star on Location.
