We absolutely love this place! We ordered custom coffee bags for a small wedding reception last month and the response we got was amazing. Many of our guests commented on the uniqueness of the favour and how excited they were to try the coffee. The ordering process was very simple and straight forward. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of ordering a unique favour for any event.

Nice coffee and decorations. I bought a cup of cappuccino and Sat there for an hour, watching people pass by. What an enjoyable sunny afternoon. I bought a pack of "butterfly kiss" (light and fruity favour) coffee beans. There were lot of choices.

Coffee spot with excellent vibes to start the day! The interior decor is really fun — hanging lights, dark umbrellas and funky crafts on the wall and communal table. Most importantly, the staff is exceptionally friendly. A strong recommend for any coffee lovers in the Yonge & Eglinton area.

I don’t recommend this place for the following reasons: - The coffee taste too bitter and sour, there is a problem with bean and or preparing quality. I ordered a latte. - The place is too small, there is no comfy seats as advertised, only one table with metal seats can’t stand to set for 10 minutes. - The place is very invisible, it took me 20 minutes to find it.

This place has lots of dessert, great coffee and coffee beans. The indoor decoration is special. Hopefully I will have a seat inside to try different coffee and dessert next time when I visit there. By the way, the staffs who are working there are super friendly

Great Korean coffee shop! Love how they incorporate the Korean culture into their shop. Their grapefruit soda was delicious. The shop is not the biggest and has limited seating, but they have a huge merchandise section that’s worth a look! I would recommend others for a visit here.

One of the best iced coffees I've ever had, and I have a lot of iced coffee. I got a light roast iced coffee with oat milk - looking forward to trying it black next time. The picture doesn't do it justice but the coffee is incredibly flavourful. I was so impressed I bought their beans online and am looking forward to trying a home brew!

Delicious latte and lovely interiors! The service is exceptional. The vanilla latte was a tad bit too sweet for me but delightful nevertheless. Hope to come back here for more.

Great spot to grab an espresso and go. Really good coffee, I had a cappuccino. Nice pastries. I had a creme brulee thing that was awesome! The interior lacks a little in the way of comfort. Couple chairs round a table, and a bar at the window. No outdoor seating, bummer. Staff was great. Pleasant and helpful.

Had a lovely little morning here. Had a Matcha Latte in - excellent. Then got pastries and more drinks with some coffee to go. Wonderful service. Nice seating and great customer service.

Coffee is a little disappointing. With all the awards on display you'd think the coffee is out of this world, amazing! But, it's not. It's on par with flavour and smoothness of A&W's $1 coffee. It's not bad, just doesn't have a lot of flavour considering the cost. I ordered an Americano, so it should have lots of flavour, sadly it does not. Best coffee in the city is from Boxcar Social.

A small cozy cafe with perfect espresso, but also interesting coffee drinks. Even though I was there for the first time, I feel that it is a cult place with a unique atmosphere. You can find here interesting and specific products more similar to trends in Europe than in Toronto. That’s why I added this cafe to my list ‘The Good Espresso Map’, check out my profile ;-)

Korean themed coffee roasted locally. The back room is where you can find all the delightful roasts to take home and try as well as some branded items. My hat is off to the staff, 3 of them worked through a huge rush when I arrived. What would have been a 40 minute wait at Arabica in Union was only 5 minutes for three people working today. I saw 달제과 (Luna bakery) used the Dancing Goats roast and had to visit.

Please get an iced vanilla latte with soy milk at De Mello. The weather was a bit chilly the day I visited so I was originally thinking of getting a hot coffee but I’m so glad I got the iced one. I actually tried both iced and hot. Both tasted good, but iced latte is more savoury and you can taste stronger vanilla than the hot one. It’s really good so that you won’t regret holding it even in the super cold weather. Me and my friend also tried their strawberry jam scone. Their scone is more on the moist side. I’d recommend them for a light breakfast menu. What I really liked about this cafe is the cozy vibe you’ll only get at a local cafe and the well designed goods. For your information, we visited around 11 am and it was pretty busy at that time! The staffs are super friendly and easy to talk to. I think I’ll regularly come to this place over Starbucks from now on.

I saw a blueberry latte here on social media because I am someone who loves to try specialty coffee, so I came here by taxi. Perhaps due to weekdays, the store is not very crowded. I chose a position by the window, and overall it is quite comfortable. The prices of coffee and bread are not very cheap, but the taste of latte still surprises me. It has a strong blueberry flavor and is my favorite fruit flavored coffee. It would be better if bread could be heated

Very cozy coffee place with an amazing flat white. I had it twice in 3 days (i was driving into the city from Oakville). I also tried the tiramisu. Very good too! Will definitely be back soon ☕️👌🥰

My drink was undrinkable. I had specified several times that I wanted it only very lightly sweetened. But it tasted like pure sugar and couldn’t taste anything else. Also, it’s absolutely ridiculous that they have a different gift cards for online and in store. I’m stuck with an online gift card, and all I wanted to do was buy some beans. Now I’m waiting days for them to tell me that my beans are ready for pick up at the store, when the literal beans I ordered are just sitting on the shelf at the exact same store…

3.5⭐️ Had high expectations before visiting this place. Sadly, it wasn’t what I expected. Orange Vienna was tasteless..

A unique coffee shop with a one-of-a-kind interior. Nice little place to enjoy some chitchat with your friends, or just grab some coffee to go. They also have a section in the back where you can but merchandise and coffee beans. Staff are also quite friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

my favourite local roaster!! I love getting to try new roasts seasonally while still having OG roasts available to buy. Great price for whole bean, locally roasted coffee. Extremely quick and reliable delivery using a local courier. I love De Mello ;-; I was literally inspired to write this review because I took a sip of coffee at my desk and thought "man this is good"

We live in the US, but love going to De Mello's for coffee when we're in Toronto! They make a lovely espresso, and have a great selection of coffee beans, including a number of light roasts. The staff is super friendly, and knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. They also have coffee gear, so you can pop in if you forgot to pack Aeropres filters or other gear.

They had two beans I wanted to try on the bar today, the dancing goats blend, which is a naturally processed medium roast, and a single origin Kenyan light roast. Both were good, though the Kenyan stole the show. Vibrantly citrus, great clarity. I'll definitely look for a way to add them to my rotation at home. The pastries were also really great, though not the reason we were there. Almond croissant especially! Staff were good to talk to about the beans and we're knowledgable.

I ordered the Flat White which is one of the best Flat White that I recently ordered . Then I found out that there are packages of coffee beans available at the back of the shop. All beans are recently roasted. I can make cups of coffee for better understanding their beans.

Great cafe near Yonge and Eg to grab a coffee! They may just have the best lattes in Toronto, so I always grab one when I’m in the area. The interior decor is pretty nice and there’s a communal table and few window seats if you want to stay there to get some work done or hang out with friends.

This is a small, cozy coffee shop that has a nice vibe once you walk in. The staff are friendly and will give you detailed answers to any questions you might have. They were offering a cold coffee on the menu which I have not tried before and wasn't sure what it was. The barista was very friendly and nice to offer me a small sample prior to purchasing. For beginner coffee drinkers, they are very helpful to recommend something which you will like. They also make everything fresh to order thus during busy times, the wait might take a little longer but it's all worth a fresh and hot coffee. There are tables and chairs throughout the shop, so it would be a perfect place if you’re looking to do some work, be on your computer or even catching up with your friends. They also sell coffee beans and other items in house, so if you really enjoy the beans, you can definitely purchase some for home use. I would say this is one of my favorite coffee shops and will definitely return for coffee if I am ever in the area. Highly recommend checking this place out for coffee if your in the area!

A disappointing flagship considering how much De Mello beans are seen across Toronto cafes. The drinks don't have the quality to match their high reputation despite the premium pricing, more expensive than other third wave coffee shops in the city. The quality is inconsistent depending on staff (so this may be an unfair criticism across the board), but the milk is usually too hot and the texture too unrefined, while espresso pulls can be far too bitter than pleasant. The customer service is always great, I love the apron I have from there, and it's still the only option I'd go for on Yonge north of Eglinton.

Hands down my favorite coffee place in the city - we’ve been ordering beans from De Mello (fantastic assortment of Third Wave coffee - the Buttefly Kiss is my go to) for close to a year now but only now got around to visiting the cafe in person because of COVID. Excellent espresso drinks and a great selection of pastries including some vegan ones.I’d be a daily visitor to the cafe I lived close by !

Although I had already had their coffee beans before I had never visited the cafe as I live far from Midtown. I finally visited and it was FANTASTIC. The coffee was delicious, the service was good, the cafe itself is unique. I LOVE IT! I wishhhh there was a patio to sit and spend more time there but I loved it. Will be back again!

I love DeMello coffee beans but their retail shop for making the latte is a bit off..... Their baristas may need more training. For me, I love their Dancing Goat! If you make coffee at home or at your cafe, the coffee beans are outstanding. They also have some in house make candies and other stuffs. So go and check it out. Just don’t be discourage to get their beans by having a below average cup of coffee in this café :p

Best coffee in town. No seats available inside, but I’ll still make every effort to visit when I feel like getting a decent cup of coffee. Although my favorite will always be iced black, try their oat milk latte. No coffee shop makes an oat latte like they do. Glad to have you in midtown!

  • 5/5 Akhil M. 2 years ago on Google
The goto place for coffee beans in midtown, because the beans are always fresh and interesting notes. Also the coffee bar and snacks are superb, both in winter and summer.

One of the best roasters I’ve been to in the city. I’ve gotten coffee/espresso drinks made there and it’s fantastic. I’ve purchased beans to make coffee at home which have all turned out to be amazing (Sakura is my absolute favourite). By far my favourite product is the instant coffee! So delicious and easy. This place is a must visit

Totally hits the spot with their amazing roast here! Had my go to cortado and it had a nice strong hit in the beginning sip and by the time you gulp down the sip, slight lingering taste to know you drank espresso and then you keep just wanting to taste more of it! The aesthetics of the place is super cool with the umbrellas all over the ceiling! And service was on point! Acknowledged as soon as I stepped in and no rush to make a decision even though I already knew what I wanted. Great job overall and totally on my personal toronto lists of top cafes!
