My favourite café place in the Leslieville area! My 5 reasons for 5 stars: 1. the service is excellent with friedly baristas 2. the coffee, mocha, tea or whatever you choose is great and tasty 3. yummy! They have some delicious snacks, the lemon pie is superb 4. the place is so cozy, nice furniture and decoration - accompanied by good background music - and the internet works perfectly 5. affordable prices

Lovely cozy cafe in Lesieville is a great addition to Queen street in this part. Interesting interior, nice staff and they have a large selection of different foods and drinks what is really good. Unfortunately I had an expresso and I don't like their coffee so much, maybe they should use better beans or change the way how they prepare it.

This quaint stylish coffee shop, with it's tasteful decor and local art adorning the walls, is a timeless experience. The knowledge barrista was helpful and guided my beverage selection (flat white) without sugar. It was perfect. There is ample seating for a downtown coffee shop with a few tables and chairs. The delicious looking sandwiches and pastries were across from an attractive display of whole bean roasted coffee available for purchase. I look forward to my return.

I had been advised by many people that this was the place to go in the neighbourhood for coffee. First - I had no idea it was so close to my apartment, not that it’s a factor in my satisfaction of my experience. Just a nice added bonus. The staff - very welcoming, friendly and warm. Just like the lovely holiday decor! The coffee was delicious and there isn’t a single doubt in my mind that I will be back!

I absolutely love this place. The staff couldn’t be nicer and the vibe is great. This place is my first choice when meeting people for coffee. Parking is easy and treats are delicious. Back patio is peaceful and backs onto the park. We had their iced teas, chai and raspberry with a date square.

Things I enjoyed : the pretty place, with a cozy atmosphere, and pretty decoration and comfortable chairs. Things I didn't enjoy : the two different lattes (with almond milk and oat milk) which seemed both very light (like there was a bit of water added in them), the fact it was a bit pricey, and they serve drinks in disposable cups instead of mugs.

This place was great! Super cool interior. Whether you’re a coffee person or not they have an option for you to order! They’re inclusive to all milk selections. They also sell Hale coffee (highly recommend their beans)! All of us enjoyed our drinks. They were quality drinks for sure! They had endless options for seating for groups of 2-3 people. Such an amazing view of Queen in Leslieville. The customer service experience was neutral. Overall so good!

This place is a fixture of the neighbourhood. Very friendly and welcoming staff and charming, old fashioned decor creates a super cozy atmosphere. good selection of sweet and savoury treats, plus a variety of espresso drinks, with milk alternatives available. wi-fi for customers. Wonderful!

Popped in for a cup of warm (and heartwarming) soup after some freezing time outdoors at the neighborhood Wanderlust event. The soup was good, and so was the coffee, and so was everything else: the service, the vibe. Nice and friendly people work here and they seem to showcase and support local artists, too. Great!

This is a nice space, cozy, warm; however small. Usually quiet, the drinks and food are alright, basic and mainly about just energy not flavour. So if you go here it's more about the atmosphere. Although it's never been one to stay on top of cleaning. Usually the tables are sticky, regardless if it's busy or not the staff either just don't clean throughout the day or don't care. And the dust on the window ledge and the washroom... I digress.

Nice place to work with a laptop. They have a 2 hr limit for seating though. Coffee was not bad.

  • 4/5 Peter M. 11 months ago on Google
Great coffee, great ambiance. I just wish the tables weren't almost touching the chairs. I saw a lot of the patrons - including myself - quite hunched over, therefore I can't recommend this as a place to write / type / work.

Great local coffee shop with tons of cookies and baked goods. Lots of patio seating available outside with the cafeTO program. Only sad part is there are many nut filled goodies so not great for those with allergies.

Neighbourly and cozy atmosphere that's great whether you're remote working or casually hanging out, tasty coffee and drinks, and an amazing friendly team that wants you to feel right at home! The snacks are also delicious, if a bit on the pricier side.

Everything is in takeout containers, even if you are staying in. The coffee cup lids are recyclable, but they only have a garbage container. There is no (at least not visible) place to put recycling. The food is decent, but a bit on the pricey side. It is a nice cozy spot though. Be aware that there is a 2 hour seating limit, if they are busy.

Neighbourhood coffee joint where everyone seems to know everyone. If the owner knows you then he gives you preference, doesn’t matter who’s there first. Coffee took a while but no longer than Starbucks, same prices too. Iced coffee was delicious and the scone was ok just not warmed up enough maybe.

I love tango palace! The servers are happy and everyone is so nice, this must be a good place to work! The food and treats are very good as well and compliment the excellent coffee! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really like this cafe. The espresso is excellent - even the decaf! The staff is usually friendly. However one time i had an employee tell me I should go to Starbucks instead because i was a white girl and i ordered a macchiato (knowing that what they would serve me was a traditional macchiato - that’s what i wanted!). I think he thought i wanted a caramel macchiato or something. He seemed really annoyed by my presence which I thought was unnecessary but also being a white girl I realize i have a lot handed to me in life and someone at a cafe telling me to go to starbucks really isnt the worst kind of appearance-based insult! Btw The biscottis here are really good. Pistachio cardamom is 10/10. And the atmosphere is adorable. Very good date vibe, and i love the rustic chairs.

We ordered cold mocha, and it tasted like a casual iced coffee, I’d say mcd has a way better iced coffee. The greek chicken roll was stale. Everything cost around $20. Disgusting. I’d never suggest anyone to visit this caffe.

Very cozy place with good coffee and pastries. The owner is very welcoming and it's evident that this cafe is a part of the community.

Tango Palace is an extremely popular independent neighbourhood cafe. The decor is funky as hell, the coffee is superior and the staff are the friendliest people around. There is interior seating, there is a wonderful back patio which is like sitting in a park, and there are a couple of cafe chairs on the sidewalk out front. There is a very nice selection of bakery goodies, all tasty and always fresh. The experienced staff know how to make any style coffee your way They do sell bulk coffee as well. Great place for a great coffee. I highly recommend.

Good little coffee shop, with a nice front and back patio. Staff was very friendly, and the shop was artistically decorated inside. The pastries looked okay, but nothing jumped out at us during our visit. I really enjoyed my “frozen coffee”, but the iced Americano wasn’t our favourite. Overall really nice, and I look forward to returning.

Exquisite Cafe. Try anything, you'll love it. Never want to leave. An institution in Toronto coffee, this is what decades of experience and attention to craft looks like. You can taste the character in every cup. Excellent, friendly service; spacious, understated decor; comfortable seating for group and solo patrons both indoors and out with two patios and a large, open interior seating area. The back patio in particular is like a secret grove of ivy and old growth trees, highly recommended. There is not a single weak item on the menu, every drink is well honed from practice into a well rounded ideal version from the classics to the niche. The menu is tight and thoughtfully designed with a representative drink in every area you'd want in a cafe, small enough that a single barista can master the whole menu without being so small that you wouldn't find a new favorite no matter what your tastes. And while you're happily drinking, the food is excellent whether you want a quick snack, a well made sandwich or just a baked treat. Everything is well made and balanced. In summary, this place has been here longer than some of you have been alive and it's my dearest hope it's around long after I'm gone. It's worth a visit or a dedicated weekly trip for the good of your soul.

Tango Palace is my go to when I need a Java boost! I tried the Coffee Slushy last time I was there, and I have to say that I was very impressed. The patio in the back is a hidden gem most people don't see, so if you're passing by, make sure to sit in the back and regain some Headspace :)

Honestly, the place, ambience, and location is great, but, I didn't appreciate the taste of my Cafe latte. Now I'm not a coffee connoisseur, by any means, in fact, I'm just beginning to appreciate coffee now, so what do I know about good tasting coffee!?? I tried a spot at the east beaches that I liked though.

I love this place so much. The ambiance - from the shabby chic interior that feels like an old English pub to the patio out back just off the park. The staff have always been super lovely as well. It just had this great eclectic feel to it snd it keeps me coming back.

Stopped by this shop on a rainy day. Covid protocol allows 5 people inside at a time and customers were following the rules. Tried their regular coffee while my friends got iced coffee as they didn't have any cold brews. The coffee tasted like coffee I would make at home which is super convenient if I lived close to this shop. That being said, it is not a strong coffee like you would get at a big coffee shop. My black coffee was smooth and light, tasted like a medium roast and on the sweet side. The staff wasn't very talkative, felt not really approachable. Pretty much got right to the point as asked us what we want, took payment, and left our drinks on the side.

I used to love this place, the owner and I would have long discussions on the merits of different coffees and the atmosphere was "1920s Paris". I went in recently after not being there for some time and was shocked by the difference. What had oncè been a warm and friendly oasis is now toxic. The attendant behind the counter was disinterested and lacking in personality. The coffee was uninspired and poured half full. The sweet was stale; I didn't ask for a replacement as I didn't want to ruin my day having to further interact with the grumpy little goblin behind the counter.

Recommend to me by a local in the area. Friendly staff, popular for lots of coffee options. I ordered the iced matcha latte which was pretty ordinary but tasty nonetheless. Other people who came here for the coffee said it was very good.

Definitely one of the local coffee places I love. It's a little bit out of the way from my house, but I love popping by here whenever I'm waiting around for my pets at the vets down the street. I do love to walk here when the weather is much warmer.

Tasty desserts. Had a coconut and raisin cookie, and a cappuccino. it was delicious. Nice atmosphere, plenty of seating with some sofas, and a patio or "garden" in the back also with seating. Excellent service quick and courteous.

Good ,old looking place to seat and enjoy your coffee. We had a London Fog green tea and mocha, Almond Crossan . But,I saw they are serving a very nice looking egg sandwich for others, next time I will try it.

The chicken pesto sandwich is SO good - probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had from a cafe. And the young girl working the shop is super sweet and friendly! Would recommend everyone to check this place out.

Absolutely beautiful! This coffee place on Queen St E is like a movie scene from Hallmark. It also has Parisian vibes. Staff was friendly and nice. Highly recommended!

Really cute place. Lots tables to enjoy a coffee with your laptop or a book etc. For me the only drawback was they were playing reggaeton kinda of loud the whole time. Not the vibe I was looking for.
