Beautiful and unique location with a great decor. The coffee is good. It's not exceptional. The cortado was more like a cappuccino. Over aerated and huge abou 8oz. The latte was better. The cashier was a bit rude but overall it's a good spot for sit down coffee but if you just want a good cup there's better options in the area.

Great coffee place on Yonge St. ( Walking distance from St. Regis) to hangout or grab a quick one in your break. Well known for their vanilla latte and pistachio muffin. If you plan on spending more time, you might have to wait given the place gets busy during peak hours and weekends hence would suggest to keep that in consideration. Tried their Pistachio Muffin which had a perfect balance of sugar, nuts and baked appropriately.

Great coffee spot & nice atmosphere inside. Lots of seating options, plus a patio. Was very busy when I visited, but the line moved fast and the service was excellent. Delicious lattes and baked goods. Definitely recommend.

One line - Coffee is great, the rest is disappointing. Description: 1. Coffee: it’s one of the best coffees that I had in Toronto. No doubts there. I ordered regular latte and vanilla latte, both were amazing. Rating - 5/5 2. Food: I ordered scone, since many options were sold out, including all the croissants, at 11 am on a Saturday (maybe I’m just a business person, but that’s just poor planning). I had to settle on a broccoli scone which was weirdly chewy and it had a thread in it. I dint like returning it, so I threw it away. Rating - 1/5 3. Service: Maybe I’m spoiled by other coffee place’s generous serving staffs, but this place one the most uninterested service staff ever. I asked for recommendation, since they were sold out, but the server was least interested to talk and no smile or any welcoming feeling. The other one whom I talked to was equally bad. I don’t think 11am on a Saturday morning is the right time to be in this mood. Anyway, I just hope that was just my experience with them, they are not like that with everyone else. Rating - 2/5 4. Ambience and location: Both were beautiful. It gives the perfect retro yet modern coffee place vibe. But since the sitting area is small and basics just one big couch, it’s a bit noisy. Can’t open your laptop and do work, unless you have your ear phones with you. Rating - 5/5 Overall: I would recommend this place to go for a nice coffee and nice location. Don’t expect a great/friendly staff or great food. I hope this review helps. Take care 🙂

I had a fantastic experience at Dineen's on Yonge! I met up with a friend for a coffee, and we both loved the place. It was super busy but luckily a table in the corner had opened up, so we had a great spot to just catch up. There’s also a spacious patio seating area as well. The music wasn’t too loud, and plenty of people just coming in and out, so great to socialize. It's super cute, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The menu is excellent, offering a variety of options. Being in the core downtown area makes it a convenient location for everyone. I'll definitely be coming back!

Busy spot, sleek and polished, right in the middle of downtown with indoor and outdoor seating. The iced latte is decently good. The WiFi was not working when I went though, so small heads up for those looking to do some work.

Fantastic Coffee | Delicious Eats | Exquisite, Historic Location | Highly Recommended. —— Detailed Review Below —— Dineen is a local chain serving high quality coffees and baked items. This location — well-designed, tastefully decorated and esthetically furnished and located inside in a historic building — is my favorite spot for meetings whenever I am in downtown now. Their coffee drinks are masterfully crafted - perfectly made - excellent coffee blended well in microfoamed milk. Verdict: Fabulous! Highly recommended. Cute place with a cosy interior - a really nice place to work with plenty of plug sockets for charging. A good selection of teas and also nice pastries and cakes. Peach black tea was lovely.

DRINKS: I fell in love with the coffee here. I'd rank this the best coffee in town. High quality beans, smooth and strong taste. PASTRY: not so many options; the croissant was decent like other coffee shop. VIBE: this place is busy all day and almost impossible to get a seat. The whole shop has large window that brings nature light in. Nice interior and smell great. SERVICE: not that great as the place is super busy. They might forgot your order, and you have to clean table of the previous person by yourself. Overall still a great place to chill out, but not for work as it's very noisy.

This is a place what I wanted to visit since I came to Canada. It’s happened but in North York not here in Downtown, until now. It’s a lovely place with beautiful interior design and perfect espresso. It’s a bit overcrowded but it’s something what you can expect from such a good place. Their big plus is outdoor patio next to the building.

Went there to grab a pain au chocolat and coffee. It was busy in the morning but we didn’t wait too long. Nice space. I really enjoyed my pain au chocolat and loved that there were 3 lines of chocolate. Usually, the standard is 2.

Average coffee in a decked up location. Nice to sit if you can find a spot but that's about it. Decor is eye pleasing. Cafe smells good. Seating is quite limited. Cappuccino with oat milk was mediocre at best. Size large is basically medium. Oat and almond milk have a $1 upcharge. Definately not worth $6 + tax.

I got a breakfast croissant and it was delicious. But my coffee had some grains at the bottom which was a little weird when drinking but the coffee it’s self was so good. I got a vanilla iced latte. It is also pretty expensive. The vibes are great and there is quite a bit of seating.

I've been coming here for almost 3 years now and I've yet to find another place that makes Vanilla Latté's as good they do! The food is always great; my personal fave being the Pecan Squares and all their sandwiches. The atmosphere is always busy here which I'd say is a clear reflection of how popular and great their coffee is. On top of that, the staff is always kind and respectful! I highly recommend to check Dineen out; there's genuinely no other place like it!

This place makes you feel already at home. It hits different with different tiles and small seating settings. The vibe is nice, coffee is nice and pastries are good. Expect to stay in the line to get in, all the time (almost)! I love this location very much.

Great coffee spot located on a very busy corner with little to no parking. The drinks have lots of flavour and are carefully prepared to be served. I would definitely recommend this location if you're looking for some tasty Latte's or any sort of caffeine beverage. It could get busy at times. Especially on weekends.

The drinks are alright, quite on the expensive side. Kinda wish they wouldn’t use disposable cups when drinking on site. Staff is quick even when it’s busy. It gets quite loud but I guess you come here for the decor.

Dineen is known for their ambiance both indoors and outside on their patio on a busy intersection downtown Toronto. They offer high quality coffee, latte’s, tea’s, baked goods, sandwiches and other light breakfast bites. I had a large Americano and the overnight oats and it was a perfect morning. Expect to wait for a seat but you will still revive your food and drinks quickly. It’s a great place to sit and work, meet a friend or colleague or simply stop by and see why the reviews are so great. ☕️

Dineen Cafe's charm lies in its nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of an older French cafe. The latte I enjoyed was well-crafted, delivering a delightful experience. The vintage atmosphere adds a unique touch, making it a cozy spot for those who appreciate a blend of classic aesthetics and good coffee.

5 Stars for the vibe look and feel of the place 5 Stars for location too The place looks too good plenty of natural light. Excellent place to catch up with friends or casual businesses meetings. My coffee experience was very bad I ordered different coffees but I think Barista was more interested in browsing his phone while making coffee casually. What I personally felt about the coffee that they don’t care as it was busy and lot of people come because of the location. I won’t rate the coffee this time cos I think they deserve one more chance.. this time different barista maybe Mostly their croissants and pastries are sourced from a third party so don’t want to say anything about it. The crowd was amazing you can feel the Downtown vibe. 5 Stars for the clean washrooms

Although all dineen cafes are great but this one is unique. The vibe is different . Ambience is great. Its always busy and its difficult to get a table. The latte and mocha are good and the food options are good. Sometimes they take time to serve order as its busy.

Dineen will always be packed! However, this cafe is a good place in the city to catch a break with good coffee. The crowd is generally from the offices around , and it can get a bit loud. The Americano I had was great, and the staff were amazing.

I recently visited this bustling coffee shop on a Saturday afternoon. The latte was exceptional—smooth and not overly sweet. I also tried the banana cupcake, which was delicious but could benefit from a bit longer baking. While the atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff was friendly, I couldn't help but notice that the seating, primarily the chairs, lacked a bit in comfort. I recommend considering the addition of more comfortable options, like sofas, to enhance the overall coziness and make patrons feel more at home. Despite this, the quality of the coffee and unique baked goods makes it a worthwhile spot for a coffee break

Great coffee in a beautiful historical building, worth the visit! Nice atmosphere and seating space, great to catch up with an old friend or for a casual business meeting. In the summer, the patio is a great and unique addition, it is very hard to find a coffee shop with a patio in the financial district. Forgot to mention: the drip coffee and espresso beverages are great, it is my go to coffee when I am in the area, I visit either this location or the one at Commerce Court.

I really enjoy sitting at this cafe on a Saturday morning to catch up on work or reading. They make great specialty drinks (their seasonal tumeric latte is fantastic) and have a nice selection of goodies!

  • 4/5 Jason K. 6 months ago on Google
Grabbed a medium roast drip coffee to go. The taste was alright, I do not think I will buy the drip coffee again though. Sat inside for sometime relaxing. It can get quite busy at times while I was there. Large outdoor seating area.

The atmosphere is great. We had a chai latte and a turmeric latte which were both good. We also ordered a banana bread slice which was ok, and was cold (took out of the fridge cold) and they didn't have anything to warm it up, so I'm not getting banana bread from there anymore. Also the service was pretty bad.

  • 3/5 Raman S. 6 months ago on Google
I work nearby so have tried this place a few times as it always looks bustling. It turns out the reason it's bustling is it takes them 15m to make a coffee. So everyone in there is basically just waiting... The coffee is decent but nothing special. The food is pretty pricey, and the last time I went, the breakfast item I had was awful. I took it back a few hours later just to let them know (I did not want/ask for money back)... and the guy literally could not have cared any less. Hipster baristas eh. Maybe I'll go back but I'm pretty sure they do not care anyway.

Nice place but my "flat white" was mediocre, and lukewarm. Disappointed. At that price and with such fancy espresso machines, should have been much better. Croissant was good. I guess not everyone gets latte art?

  • 5/5 Rishabh K. 2 years ago on Google
Love the coffee. Love the food. Love the service. I love everything about this place. The fact that is was next to my office, and it became my go to place for my afternoon coffee; it reminds me of the pre-pandemic days. This is one of a kind, state of the art cafe. Their Americano is LOVE.

Delicious scones!! The banana and blueberry one is to die for. My only problem is please start making more if I don’t get there right at 7am I’m out of luck :( and I need my scone fix.

  • 4/5 Olga C. 9 months ago on Google
I came in this morning at around 9 and there was a line of about 5 people ahead of me and even more behind me just after I lined up. I ordered a large hot matcha latte with whole milk. I was glad to know that the whole milk was not an additional charge like other cafes do. The total was $6.05 with tax. The drink itself was very good as I love a good strong matcha latte with no sugar added with some foam on top. There were no clusters of matcha powder and very few at the very bottom of my drink. Overall the drink was great, the service was a bit on the slower side but understandable since there were a lot of people ordering and waiting for their orders too. The atmosphere was pretty good as well, but it looks like you have to come in earlier than 9am in order to get a table inside or in the outside patio.

Dineen is hands down the most beautiful cafe in Toronto: spectacular design with a historic oversized chandelier, beautiful encaustic tiles, marble tables and leather benches. The coffee is on par with the design: creamy, nutty deliciousness. Last but not least I really admire the staff who work like a Swiss clock serving many lining up customers. The staff have lots of personality, do their job really well and despite the constant pour in of customers still have the time to smile and deliver great customer service. I hope they are paid well.

We ordered 2 large coffees (both Temperance Roast), a pistachio muffin and a poppyseed muffin. The coffee was good and the muffins were ok. I deducted one star because the muffins were quite dense and a little on the dry side. As this was my 1st visit to this location I’m not sure if that is the norm or a one off. The seating is also a bit tight so be aware if you are a larger individual.

What a cozy little place; I just happen to walk in randomly. A very pleasant atmosphere, great tea selection! It got a little busy but if you have some music in your ears, it is the best little place to get some work done

The carrot cake muffin is to die for!!! I understand it might be a covid thing, but it would be awesome to have coffees and treats “for here” served in mugs / on plates again!

Great Coffee. The mocha had a balanced flavour., not too sweet and had a rich espresso taste.

  • 4/5 Cale S. 2 years ago on Google
It’s very clean and well designed. If you can get a seat, the cushioned bench is very comfortable. My latte was better than expect and the lemon poppyseed was top notch. The only thing was the cashier wasn’t very friendly.
