One of the best coffee, tea, matcha places in the city! Always fresh, friendly and fun, matcha is the beverage of choice and you won't regret it. There is a nice, dimly light, seating (large) cubbies inside and a couple benches on the outside facing the street. They also have some matchi mochi freshly made.

Finally found my favourite speciality coffee shop in Toronto. After being disappointed with coffee in Canada, we finally came across some really good speciality coffee. They have a write up about where the beans were grown. And the coffee is really good. They have some asian inspired desserts but I didn't try any. I did order the almond croissant, but it was really stale and dry. A real disappointment. But the coffee and service was very good. I will certainly be back again.

Been here on several occasions and the baristas make it feel like such a hassle to take my order. I might understand if I was the last customer of the day or if it was hectic busy, but it is always during mid morning, I am the only customer in line and this happens every single time I’m here. The quality is good. However, +$14 for an americano and a sandwich made with white sliced bread is steep. It’s a great location and design, I can understand the appeal, but there are far better coffee shops in that treat you with warmth and give you the same quality.

One of the best espresso and presentations I’ve had in a while! Rarely am I given soda water as a palette cleanser, but I refuse to drink espresso without it after having been here!! Found the muffin to be good but nothing special. The coffee was the standout here. Gowan my server was incredibly nice and helpful, even after I accidentally broke a glass. Can’t recommend coming here highly enough! Bring a book to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and coffee!

This location is an absolute gem. The coffee here is unique and tastes amazing. I would definitely hold it on the top lost of cafés I've been to. Look forward to returning and trying other items on the menu.

This place is one of my fave! The staffs here are wonderful and extremely friendly. I really enjoyed their maple kinako latte. It has a delicious soybean powder taste. I wish they’d keep this menu year long and not just for fall. Their matcha cookie choux was the best choux I’ve had! The perfect crispy choux with the perfect sweetness of cream inside.

Very nice neighbourhood cafe. They have their own coffee beans. Their matcha was delicious and refreshing. They had a wide selection of fresh pastries. Variety of dairy free alternatives: Oat, Almond, Coconut and Cashew Milk. We got Iced Mocha Latte with Oat Milk and a Iced Coconut Matcha Latte. We paired them with a butter croissant and dark chocolate oat cookie.

Now one of my favorite coffee shop in Toronto. The drinks are really good and the service is amazing. This afternoon a crazy woman came and make a mess in the cafe. The personal was very professional and keep its calm during the whole show. The waiter take everyone inside to keep us safe and blocked the door to make her leave. The waiter and the two waitresses (sorry I don't have the names) came to apologize to all customers and offered a free drink to everyone. Definitely a place I will come back to! Amazing service, amazing coffee and very professional! Thanks guys!

Decent sized coffee shop with ample seating at communal bar tables, benches, and booths. I appreciate the Japanese influences on the menu which include a lovely hojicha latte. The gluten-free chocolate banana muffin is also a delight. Neo is open later than most boutique coffee shops in the city and even has a laptop free rule on weekends and holidays to accommodate seating.

Excellent service and delicious lattes and baked goods! Had a chocolate banana muffin which was made fresh to eat on the same day! For drinks, I tried the Hojicha green tea latte and Cafe Mocha, was quite impressed by the latte art which makes the visit worth it! :D

One of my favorite coffee shops in Toronto. Aesthetically pleasing to sit, when open for indoor dining. Tasty baked goods made in house. My favorite: Dark chocolate cookie..not too sweet with a taste of sea salt. Always has rotating flavours of Swiss rolls. Perfect with a latte. Many options for drinks including espresso, coffee, and gourmet teas. Espresso is smooth and strong, which can be made with lots of options. I have been going here for years, even during pandemic. I'm happy there is another location on Bay Street. Can't go wrong here.

I wish i cud give a 5 star but their coffee is just not upto the mark. I used to get better coffee here and the quality has just been deteriorating. The strawberry roll cake was delicious though. It was freshly made and was not very sweet. And the staff is very friendly too and the place has a good ambience.

Beautiful cafe close to St Lawrence Market and George Brown College. Came at 10:45AM on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. Very nice ambiance perfect for a date, but they do have limited hours where you can't have your laptop (first time seeing this at a cafe). Their brewed coffee was good and smooth. Looks like their bakery is located at this location and everything looked delicious! Would recommend and come back to try their baked goods.

If you love matcha as much as I do then you definitely need to check this place out. Super cute place in downtown Toronto and I really enjoyed their matcha cream puff. Staff was nice and coffee was decent! Coming back to try the other matcha treats :)

Smaller location compared to other branches (I thought with the most reviews, this would be the largest location, oops). Great vibes though! During busy hours, they will fill up quick so don’t count on sitting down. I bought the $4.10 BETSUJYO SENCHA tea, not very strong flavor and wish it came in a mug. But overall still enjoyed the atmosphere! Will come back to try the cookies.

Great cozy ambiance but it does get busy, hard to find seating at times, and the service is mediocre. I’ve been here a couple of times for their drinks and desserts which are solid! I highly recommend the seasonal pumpkin spice latte, strawberry roll cake, choux in any flavour, and the matcha cookie. However, I found their matcha latte to be quite grainy with a bitter aftertaste and their hot chocolate lacking in flavour (really just tasted like steamed milk). Items are on the pricier side considering that portions are pretty small. Expect to spend $20+ for a party of 2 (if you’re getting a drink and dessert each).

I enjoyed the food at Neo Coffee Bar, particularly the strawberry roll cake and matcha cheesecake, accompanied by two lattes. The coffee was delightful. However, I'm disappointed by their no-laptop policy. I find it inconvenient and, as a result, I've decided not to return for dine-in service.

so far the best cafe I have tried in Toronto! came with my friend in the morning and got almond croissants, a vanilla latte, and a matcha latte. the service was amazing, and the ambiance was so cozy and aesthetic, with lots of great seats. the drinks also tasted as pretty as they looked!!!

Got the Neo iced coffee and a blueberry muffin. Both were delicious! Cute little shop with a nice roadside patio. Overall I’d recommend this shop to other coffee lovers!! I really liked the cute little photo booth for dogs (complete with water bowl and dog pun)

The NEO iced coffee with foam was amazing!!! Amazing atmosphere and great hospitality! The mocha was bad, I think they youse chocolate powder! The match coffee with oat milk wasn’t the best. But the iced coffee was just really good hence the 4 stars!

Came here on a Tuesdays around 3-4. It was a really nice atmosphere. The barista was very nice and attentive. They look a bit understaffed so the orders might take a bit but I'd definitely come back since they coffee was great and they have a wide selection of milk alternative.

I made a visit as I've heard so many good things about this place! Firstly, the bad: the matcha tea I ordered was either not as good quality as it should've been or it was old, or it was burnt when it was mixed with the water. Good matcha should be enjoyable and a little sweet and grassy even without anything added, but this was super bitter and not the most appetizing as I neared the bottom of the cup. For reference, I do brew my own cups regularly at home. The smoked salmon sando also didn't feel too smoked but just too salty? Or maybe I just got an off batch. The good: ordered the matcha white chocolate cookie and the cookie choux — so good!!! The service was also exceptional. The person at the front went above and beyond, and was really kind and patient, so I'll definitely be back very soon.

Wood interiors complimented by delicious coffee with a perfectly roasted taste. They have lots of seating in the back area which is nicely separated from the front coffee bar counter. I would return again to try their delicious baked goods. They have a very clean washroom as well!

They are good in general but you shouldn’t let people that are still in training serve the customers until they are well-trained… last-time’s coffee experience was such a turn off… I ordered ahead online but they didn’t make it until I got here and asked for it..(and it already passed the estimated time)..I mean what’s point of ordering ahead if I need to come in and ask again..(you were not even that busy) then the signature cold brew tasted like water.. I still feel so sad😢

Came here for an afternoon matcha latte after brunch. Ordered the Waking Roll Cake to go along with the drink. The Matcha Latte is good. Has a good strong taste of matcha which is what I like. The walnut roll cake was also good. They actually added bits of walnut in the cake. It's not simply walnut flavoured like others I've tried. The white chocolate on top was a nice additional add-on to the cake. This cafe has a modern vibe. Lots of space to sit and enjoy your drink and snack. I actually used to come here a while back to study. They have a good seating arrangement in the back where you get a little privacy and quiet. Overall, this is one of my top cafe in the city. Definitely beats the traditional coffee chains that's abundant in the city.

Not worth for the cost. Ordered cold fruity drinks which cost $13. Tastes like coloured water and no taste at all. The pictures on the website looked more pleasing than what was actually presented.

Always a favourite, their drinks and pastries are so delicious. COVID-19: They have seating outside on the sidewalk for social distanced seating. There is also indoor seating as well but many seats are blocked off. There is also a large bottle of hand sanitizer by the garbage bin in the front.

The interior of this cafe is beautiful with high ceilings, several large windows, wooden furniture and seasonable plants. There are many seating options to choose from and the place is kept clean. The staff are very friendly. I love that this cafe serves a lot of different Japanese desserts and drinks, and that they have limited time seasonal flavours. I bought a slice of strawberry swiss roll and a slice of original basque cheesecake. I wanted to try their mochi but they were sold out by the time I arrived (late afternoon). Both of the desserts that I ordered were yummy, but I am taking off 1 star from my review because they were pretty expensive. I'd love to come back here to try other items on the menu, especially the mochi since there aren't many cafes/restaurants in the GTA that sell authentic mochi.

Coffee, Matcha Lattes, and Baked goods are phenomenal! Love this cafe and it always has consistent espresso based drinks and matcha lattes are delicious. I also tried the baked goods that they make in house and it was all sooooo good! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

The genmaicha latte—I’m convinced—is the best in all of Toronto. The desserts are lovely as well. Cozy atmosphere, but can get a little cramped during busy hours. Definitely coming back.

Lovely place! No laptops on the weekend or after 5pm on weekdays though which is fair. I specifically came before 9am on Saturday to do some work and while it was still quite empty, they warned me about their policy before I paid.

Neo is consistently the best coffee in Toronto. I don’t toss a complement like that around lightly, as I’m a firm believer life is too short to drink bad coffee. The aroma coming off a fresh espresso at Neo is unmatched. Even since I moved and explored other coffee shops I keep coming back. The bean, roast, temperature, water content, ratio of coffee to oat milk is perfect every time which is a compliment to the quality ingredients and also the team of skilled and friendly baristas. Shout out to Amy, Shoma and Aerol! My recommended accompaniments are a matcha cookie or butter croissant and I’m really looking forward to trying their new tiramisu on my next visit.

I’ve visited this place a long time ago then again yesterday, this cafe is close to george brown college and easy to find. The coffee taste is rather sour, so it was not the greatest but their desserts are sooo yummy😊

I got the blueberry blackberry muffin and it was SO moist and the crumble on top is delicious. I also got the almond croissant and you can really taste the butter, it was heavenly. The flakiness was also very impressive. The cafe is kept incredibly clean and can get quite busy. Will definitely come back to try other things, I really want to try their black sesame roll if it ever comes back to their menu!

Awesome coffee shop. Classy looking. It’s Japanese so of course everything is top notch. Amazing beverages and desserts. We have the vanilla cream cookie croux. WOW. It’s pretty big but sitting space can still get tight. Lots of awesome lunchtime deals. On weekends 12-4pm is a no laptop-tablet policy so only keep it social between those times. I like it.

I ordered Hojicha Latter with Oat-milk. It is not that sweet and I really like it. I like the vibe of the coffee shop. They have comfort benches which are good to study or work. The cake is made here and it is not that sweet which is good. I like it!

Not your average coffee shop! Nice ambiance to catch up with friends. Intricate desserts along with specialty cafe drinks. We got hot chocolates which looked aesthetically pleasing but were more on the bitter than sweet side (I like sweeter hot chocolate made with milk chocolate so this wasn’t my fave). Worth checking out if you’re downtown

4/5 Have returned. One of my favorites in the city, with consistent quality that you would expect of a Japanese establishment. The cakes are moist and creamy. We tried the seasonal Sakura. Light, sweet and subtle floral notes. Iced Matcha was fine, though I wish they would offer a blended version. Pricing a little higher but expect a high level of service and quality.
