Tried the Latte and the Herbal Peach tea here. Both were very nice. The issue here is the baristas are very inconsistent. On another occasion I ordered a cortado. While it was a tasty espresso base, i practically got a cappucino with the amount of foam and milk. Price was fair and the service staff were very nice. The sitting area in the back is nice and quiet. Also they roast their own beans. Their beans were a bit too acidic for my taste but overall good. I would recommend this place for beans more than a sit down cup of coffee.

I had a "cortado" coffee, nice, strong. It is one of the few places in Toronto that offer the "cortado" type. There is pastries and muffins to choose from, spinach bagel, and more. Cool & relaxed environment. Patrons from different walks of life and very "Kensigntonian." Moonbean coffee is always good. They have both back and front patios, and indoor seating. Don't miss out.

Coffee is ok. Baked goods tasty but very limited. The place needs some love.. lacks character, no music, feels a bit dirty. Washrooms was closed..

Came by after work ~6 and found it pretty busy. There were very few tables available, but we managed to snag one. Ordered a thundercloud for the first time - I liked it but I wasn't sold on having it served in a clear cup w/ a plastic dome without a straw.

I've got to say, Moonbean Coffee is the place to be if you're a coffee lover like me. But what blew my taste buds away was their ForestWhisperer coffee, which you can get some to go for home brewing. And let me tell you about the folks behind the counter at Moonbean. They're not just baristas; they're coffee artists and the friendliest people you'll meet. They're passionate about what they do and are always ready to recommend something that suits your taste. Thank you!!

Coffee—serviceable, good, just what I wanted and needed Espresso—good, flavorful Cozy Blanket—the true reason for the five stars. I got it twice, I couldn’t get over it other time. I can’t wait to try and recreate it at home. The perfect winter drink. Plus you could add alcohol if friends want to get a lil silly. Thanks for introducing me to a delicious new drink! Also sitting on the steps in the early morning was lovely. They take Covid very seriously.

Not only do they make amazing Coffee and Latte's. They also make really good smoothies that boast tonnes of flavour. The kale smoothie is one I've tried and it tastes fantastic.

A nice little coffee shop on a quieter street in the Kensington Market. They take their coffee seriously, roasting their own beans and while they always seem to be busily running around doing something for the shop, they give you a friendly greeting when you enter and get your order started right away. The coffee is great and they also have a good selection of sweet and savoury baked goods to go along with smoothies. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular stop.

I think this is my favorite spot for coffee in Kensington. It’s nice to sit down and enjoy the coffee and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. This time I got the delicious apple which was like a good quality version of the McDonald’s apple pie just 3 times the size. The last time I was there I got the vegan banana bread and I usually hate vegan cakes but this one was legit

To all coffee enthusiasts who are into specialty coffee - go here to grab your cup of joe or buy whole beans and bring it home for brewing. Definitely top-notch single origin roaster - a precious gem of Kensington market/Toronto.

What an experience! Definitely a must stop for tourist visiting the trendy Kensington Market. Amazing friendly staff. Comfortable seating area or quick convenient to go area. Coffee is out of this world! Cold pressed juices are delicious. Bathrooms are very clean and well kept. Plenty of street parking available. Wheelchair accessible for pick up.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the baked goods at this place—In particular, the savoury spinach and feta boreka (the olive and feta boreka was good too!). I will be honest and say that I was expecting a bagel, from its shape, but I am glad to have discovered a new favourite pastry. It is especially delicious when warmed up. I had the jasmine iced matcha latte, and it was floral, as expected. I would love to try their hot drinks next time. My friend had their iced London fog and said it was very good too.

I always come here to work. Great place, good staff. Coffee tastes very good. Only thing is wifi doesn’t connect in the back patio. But I recommend coming here and trying the Bureka and Bagel sandwiches!

This is my fave coffee shop in and out of Kensington. I live 25 min drive and I come here just to get their lattes. They also have super delicious deserts. Can't wait for this to reopen so I can come enjoy my coffee with cake on their patio.

One of my favourite coffee shops in Toronto and I love getting their jasmine matcha which is very unique in my opinion. There’s plenty of seating available indoor and outdoor (with heated lamps in the winter). You see so many people working on their laptops and the atmosphere is cozy enough for any occasion. Highly recommend!

loved the cafe so much: 1. really cute touches here and there (paintings lights decors). 2. a good layout: front yard, 2 indoor seating areas and then back yard! 3. the butter pecan tart was really yum,m and rich. it was the exactly sugar rush i needed but doesn’t feel heavy at all.

First time here and it was a great first impression. This place feels cozy and colorful, staff was very welcoming (contrary to what some reviews say), my coffee was exactly how I like it and the vegan banana bread was very tasty! My first visit here makes me think that they know what they are doing and I love that!! I will definitely come back for my morning coffee. *And I have come back! My highlights so far are the Nanaimo bar and the Chai Tea, they absolutely made my morning. I'm looking forward to trying everything you have to offer! Definitely my favorite place in all Kensington.

Went here after lunch & it wasn’t busy. We ordered cortado & flat white which were really good. They also sell freshly roasted whole beans & tea leaves. Barista was friendly & accommodating. Space was small though & I imagine can be really packed during peak hours.

Walking in it screams the vibe of a cozy coffee house. You’re hit with warmth, loud chatter, and the amazing smell of fresh coffee. The staff are sweet and quick to help. If you’re aiming to get away from the bustle of a busy coffee house there’s a back space that’s quieter where I found people stationed working on their laptops. I only got a latte which was made well and adorned with a simple Rosetta for art. It was tasty and reasonably priced especially with recent inflation. Overall a fantastic experience.

Grabbed some Chai Lattes from this place a few years ago now and it was the cutest little place! I loved the decor and the vibe! It’s also parked right next to Kensington market and is a great place to stop in and get caffeinated before started your journey through the rest of the market! Enjoy!!!

Service was fast. Price is amazing for the quality of coffee. They ice frozen coffee for ice cubes, so your cold drinks won't dilute in this crazy heat we've been having. A must if you need a non alc pick-me-up in KM

By far our @sintiquetederegreso, a favorite place to drink and buy a good coffee bean. The kindness of its staff is super, the owner is always ready to help and answer your questions and above all he is always aware of his customers. 100% recommended

The best coffee roaster in Toronto! I have been coming here for about the last 15 years. Very friendly owner and staff plus they offer a large selection of coffee, tea and treats to choose from.

So many amazing things to say about this place! Everything is perfect; the cafe, the coffee, service, food and overall atmosphere. Prices are also very reasonable and you can tell that they brew quality coffee. They also make their ice cubes out of coffee which is my absolute favourite because the coffee doesn’t ever get watered down. Truly a coffee shop that prioritizes your experience there! Staff are very friendly and service is super quick. My go to is an iced oat latte! Smoothest espresso and goes perfectly with the oat milk. I also really enjoyed the vegan banana loaf; sipping my latte alongside the loaf was just magic!!! Thank you for being one the best (or in fact the best) coffee shops I’ve ever been to!

as so many other reviews say, it’s true croissants here are absolutely delicious! just get yourself one. and I think it goes without saying that their coffee is to die for! 12/10 would recommend to everyone I know EDIT; major bonus points because the ice cubes in my latte were made of coffee :)

The coffee here is spot on! Consistent and delicious☺️ They have vegan options here making it a great choice to bring your trendy vegan friends. You can get beans, dry leaf teas here. One thing that could be improved is the interior? Music is jazzy on evenings. My kind of jazz. Love it!

Amazing place with lovely ambiance and good selection of teas, coffees and yummy pies. They also have the coziest secret back yard with an authentic Kensington vibes. The only problem for is that their brewed coffee has a very high acidity, but that’s fine. Totally recommend this place.

We had iced caramel Latte and cappuccino, both were nice! I wish the coffee tastes more complex though. They have a good selection of coffee beans and tea, may try them out next time!

This isn’t in my top tier of all the coffee shops that I’ve been too, but it’s really good and conveniently placed. Came here on two separate occasions. First time was on a small road trip and the second time I was with a huge group of people. Brought all of my friends here and they all had good things to say.

Probably my favourite cafe in the downtown area. The staff are super nice, the menu of drinks and baked goods is solid and there is a lot of seating both inside and outside. Great place to stop by and relax.

Some people may say coffee making is not an art, but Moonbean Coffee Company enlightened me on what real coffee is, it was a cool summer day when I visited, I decided to go on a walk and stumbled across this wonderful shop, normally I don't enter such shops buts its energy drew me in. The moment I laid my eyes on the menu the latte caught my eye, it's thick cream jiggly milk was enticing. When it was hand delivered to me on a dazzling white plate. I was captivated. Needless to say, my experience here was unforgettable and I will definitely be coming back again next week. The owners were wonderful, and made this an experience of a lifetime.

Delicious coffee, loved my cappuccino and nice coffee alternatives too: fresh smoothies and juices. Good pastry options and a cute place inside. They also have coffee beans for sale, will try another time. Overall loved it!

Been, and is continuing on the lookout for a good specialty coffee place in Toronto, this is by far has been my best. Nice friendly vibe, homemade products and variety of coffee beans and teas for sale. Ordered a Cortado. It isn’t optimal, yet the best by far I’ve had in the last couple of weeks.

It’s the cutest coffee place The service is very good and friendly We ordered two small drinks ( mocha latte and caramel latte ) the sizes are very decent and including tip it’s was $10 Both lattes taste really good and very reasonable prices Would definitely recommend it :)

Have a wide selection of coffee beans to buy from. Ample space in their cafe in case you want to sit and chat/work from the café. Also their banana bread is a 10/10

Blended Mocha is a iced drink that has a nice coffee flavour with a hint of chocolate! $5+tax

This place is absolutely wonderful. I purchased the London Fog and my friend had the Hot Chocolate. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere of the cafe is cozy! Hot Chocolate - Rich and chocolatey - Not too sweet (in a good way) - Smooth London Fog - Very fragrant - Not too sweet

Really nice, cozy place with friendly staff. Also, at least when I was there, they weren't playing music which made it really nice for reading, unlike many other coffee shops which play it, and far too loud. Great cappuccino too ☕😋

Because of their Latte, I cannot drink Starbucks any longer... I work 3 days a week nearby, the staffs know me and I can get my latte without say anything. Love Moonbean.

  • 5/5 Katharine G. 1 year ago on Google
Love the name, Moonbean Coffee 🌙 ☕️ and the back patio with shade! There’s also a front patio on St. Andrew. They have lactose free milk 🥛 and a nice selection of coffee and tea (loose leaf 🍃)

  • 5/5 Stephanie 2 years ago on Google
Ordered the cortada and it was very smooth. The menu was interesting and they have a ton of options to try (hot coffee, drip coffee, pressed coffee, milk alternatives, iced coffees, specialty lattes, "refreshing drinks", etc.)

This spot has a great variety of teas and coffees! I enjoyed a cup of the strawberry oolong green tea & spent the morning getting some work done . I must say the green tea was smooth & mildly flavoured which made it easy to drink even if you don’t add any sweeteners. The space is nice and quiet . It’s clean ENOUGH but I did notice a buildup of crumbs and DUST on the walls which was off-putting however the bathrooms were clean . On another positive note, I noticed the staff baking all the pastries fresh in the morning. It’s good to know that the snacks aren’t stale or store bought . . I’ll definitely be back for the strawberry green tea and possibly to try an espresso. The shelves and walls do need a good wiping though. Other than that, great stuff !

Excellent loose leaf tea selection, very good variety of tasty and well priced muffins, croissants, various other pastries. They also have cinnamon syrup for free beside their usual simple syrup. Cool not to pay for a flavour shot if you like cinnamon! The vibe is a bit hectic compared to the more sterile/organized ordering and waiting zones of other shops, but this just adds to the charm of a bustling community space. Nice patio out front too. They also do smoothies and speciality pour overs of many types of coffee. Great spot and cheaper than Jimmy's or other independent cafes.
