We went there for concert, but tbh I didn't like it! The main negative point was the bad audio system and sound quality which wasn't acceptable at all. The salon wasn't acoustic and there was to much echo which made it even worse 😕 The other point was the number of seats that I preferred to be more, but it's just was my preference and can be different for each person. As a positive side, the lighting system was good and I liked it 👍🏻

Pretty small stage, there were dance performances that barely fit. The space is very long and narrow, so there wasn’t much space to move around. Overall good facility though.

Luv'd the event I attended, Motown theme. It is a great place for special events, large bar 🍻 the length of the space & a stage at the back. Sound 🔊is good with the volted ceiling, depends on the performance 💃& DJ🎶. The Motown show had dancers on stage which worked well for the theme. Bathrooms 🚽are a bit small and the parking can be tricky as it is the plaza next door, cost $20💸. Transit 🚌is available & restaurants 🍔in the neighborhood.

Attended for a burlesque show by Scarlett LaFlamme. It was the Bad Girls of History. Absolutely fantastic!! Revival was the perfect spot for this. Comfortable atmosphere, nice to have the bar in the same room. Parking - well it's downtown so ..... we managed to find street parking for free but we drove around a bit. The venue could use some more washroom stalls especially for women. Many had to use the men's. Would definitely go back for another event.

Nice venue / atmosphere, bar seemed to be moving quick, but not ideal for events where people are standing and need to see the stage. Upper level had a bit more hope but all the lights and decor hanging from the ceiling made it really hard to see from up there too (and sound was brutal). Ended up leaving early because I couldn’t see anything that was happening

Every 3rd Saturday of the month is the throwback 90s Hip Hop and Rap night. Prepare to stand in line if you arrive after 11pm.

HIGHLY underrated venue with fantastic programming and a very intimate atmosphere. You do not want to miss a show here as the sound system is superb, the vibe is excellent staff are friendly and the management is second to none.

I really like revival, great environment and good people. Love that there are bathrooms at the front and the back of the club, but don’t like that it’s a $40 minimum on debit at the bar now. So be sure to bring cash!

Always a pleasure going to events at Revival. Staff are courteous, respectful, and very professional. Washrooms sometimes leave something to be desired, however, that is as much on the patrons as the venue (it's wild that so many grown adults haven't been potty trained and are outright bathroom savages)

Great place and amazing atmosphere! Was there for many events but nothing beats starting from scratch's annual Halloween parties. That's when I see that place at its complete finest! Giving it 5 stars just because of the staff. Make sure you guys hire more bartenders though or else you'll wait for a bit for drinks

Been coming here for around 20 years. The Main Ingredient, Dj Starting from Scratch, Back in tha Day, Break for Love, Sky's the Limit Charity events, off the top of my head. Chances are if you are reading this you have looked at an event and want to see what this place is all about. Solid classy place. Not your typical nightclub. Bouncers are cool. Front doors are welcoming. Staff is good. Owner has done a great job overall in keeping good events that attract the right crowds coming here. See an event you like, go freely and most of all Enjoy! Great spot!

Good club/concert experience. Smaller venue but the bouncers were chill on this night, and the bartender actually tried to get everyone in order.

Visited from the States for a fun night with friends. Nice atmosphere in a small club. Recommended to use cash instead of card as the minimum is high, but the service was excellent and the event was fantastic.

Really fun venue! The stage is tall enough to be visible from all over the room. But low enough to still be intimate. The bartenders are fast and knowledgeable. I will be back.

Awesome venue for dubstep/ heavy bass shows. The staff is very fast and efficient with drink orders as in the multiple times I've been there the drink service has been very fast. Music is always heavy. Will continue to go to revival for all bass music needs !

Great venue for small concerts. Comfortable table & chair and bench seating, tastefully decorated and clean. There is no food on premises however many take-out choices close by that you could bring food in and eat, large bar with many choices.

The place is nice but it too small for the big events to handle. The best part of the place is they have their own jacket hanger in the basement which charge around 5 dollars but I think it's the best thing that you don't need to worry about your belongings.

Loved boylesque, wish they had kept things a little tighter and kept the moment up, intermission was insanely long with nothing happening. Excitement waned for the second half. Left early.

The sound at Revival is absolutely rubbish. Desperately in need of an upgrade. Fun place but don't expect anything from the sound other than a headache.

I have to congratulate the management dillegent efforts to reduce alcohol consumption on premises by charging $9 for a bottle of domestic beer and $11 for imports. Consequently no line up for bar service. Great venue for music with lots of on and off street pay parking in vicinity.

Cool venue. Location of the washroom is a burden. You have to exit the main room and go by where you entered, then downstairs. Just annoying to have to leave the show room and then re enter with the other guests who are entering.

Went there for a girls' bday party, and dj Snoop played some really good dance hall, so if you need a place to party here, is it if you like your afrobeats and dance hall

This place turns out crazy and great energy. The line up of DJ a was great. The house music was fantastic, the crowd was awesome and very friendly. I believe it’s not about the place. It’s about who is playing the music and the crowd is different at every day. Weekends it’s a long line up.

I want to start by saying that I normally love attending concerts at this venue! I went to a bunch during a trip I had here in 2019, and now, in 2021, I’ve moved back and was looking forward to returning to Revival for another show. I’ve been legally going to bars and concerts for the past 5 years, and I’ve never had an experience with a security guard that I found inappropriately confrontational like this: I had recently arrived and was standing in line, waiting to get inside. It was moving slowly due to the venue being at capacity, they could only let someone in when someone came out. I wasn’t inebriated/ confrontational in any way, and this security guard and I have never met before so we have no history of any unpleasant exchanges. There are two things I think could have put him on edge: First, I am friends with the people who organized the event that evening, and they had placed my name on the guest list. A friend of mine who was working that night came out to help me jump to the front of the line. Second, I moved from Alberta one month ago, and have an Alberta Drivers License that I cannot switch to an Ontario Drivers License until I receive my Drivers Abstract in the mail. My current AB Drivers license was recently renewed, and its design has been updated from the last one I was issued in 2017. Perhaps it doesn’t look like Alberta IDs he’s seen in the past. I hand it over and right away he did not believe it was real. Instead of quizzing me on the information by asking me to recite my full name, address, postal code, eye colour, etc., he abruptly escalated the situation by exclaiming “This is a fake license, the plastic is too thin, it’s not real!”, and started bending it so forcefully that I IMMEDIATELY felt uncomfortable. This is a legitimate drivers license, so I said “Please do NOT bend it like that”. He momentarily stopped and I hurried to get out a second ID of mine, my Alberta Health Card, which has no photo but does include my full name and birth date on it. He began bending my ID again in the same manner to show another security guard, and I said again “I do NOT appreciate you bending it that way, that is my legal, government issued ID”. When I got out my Alberta Health Card, he promptly attempted to reject it by demanding I show a different piece of ID with my picture on it. I’m not a student, so I don’t have a second piece of photo ID in my wallet. The only other photo ID I have is my passport, which was at home. I finally ended the situation by offering, without prompt, my vaccine passport, which also has my name, birthdate, and province of origin. How was this behaviour acceptable in any way? -He didn’t follow any professional protocol to verify my knowledge of my own identification -I had to ask twice for him to stop physically mishandling my ID -He was prepared to reject two pieces of legal identification -I couldn’t reason with him because he wouldn’t make eye contact or speak directly to me throughout this interaction, his efforts were exclusively directed towards convincing the other security guard that my ID wasn’t real I don’t know if he was just having a bad night, or if he was still being trained, but I felt disrespected. Please have the security staff review their training on verifying ID, and practice non-escalating confrontation.

Had an epic night. My gf lost her cell, they found it and brought it back, then we lost our pixie whip, a week later we go back and they still had it!!! Such good people. Such a beautiful venue. Looking forward to more good times

Awesome venue, dead royalty produce some amazing shows here! The biggest problem I have with the location is the sound quality. The bass isn't very good and lyrics at high volumes get washed out. Stage isn't anything crazy but it's still nice. Drink prices.... well its club prices so nothing to say about that ha! Staff is friendly!

bought tickets to a show at another venue that was wheelchair accessible, then the show got moved to this dump. when inquiring about accessibility after seeing no information on it on their website and socials, we were told that it's accessable if you can walk up seven steps. in the nicest way possible (that's the reason for the generous one star) I was told it can be accessible if I'm willing to be dehumanized by having to be transferred out of my chair, to get up the stairs infront of a line of people waiting to get into the venue. historical nature of buildings is absolutely no excuse for having NO accessibility whatsoever. no bathrooms, no entrance, nothing. thankfully dead royalty is being kind enough to refund my tickets due to the fact that they chose a historical dumpster to host a rave in

The staff here are very good. The food is decent. The venue is great - definitely a stand out in this area. I highly recommend this venue - its the owner who makes it great.

Went here for the Something Strange Oddities market and loved it. Although the venue was a little small for all the vendors, it was a fantastic display of the dark, the weird, the magical, and everything in between. Would recommend it to anyone looking to host dance lessons, musical performances, and social get togethers.

This is a great space. The layout and the interior are great. Sound is awesome with the high ceilings. Once the toilet got backed up, but like that's not gonna ruin what a rad place this is. Security were kind and courteous also. Such a nice change from some places! I will go see DnB anytime they book it here!

Some drinks were more expensive and were not all that good tbh. Other wise its a very cool place and I had a fun time.

Drinks are a bit pricey and bartenders are either not enough or they need to manage their bar crowd a bit better. Washrooms were a bit disgusting but it was also a huge crowd that night. The event itself was great just a few minor hiccups.

Amazing venue and staff. Went for the dirt monkey night and couldn’t have asked for more. A nice sub w a deep bass and a perf lineup n buildup. Shout out current for best atmospheric sense.

Unfortunately the bartenders will pretty much ignore you if you aren’t a guy at one of the bottle service booths. I patiently waited for 25 minutes while everybody pushed in front of me at the bar to get their shot glasses etc. girl was rude to me when I asked if I could also be served. Guess regular customers mean nothing. Not impressed & wont be back.

This place is great and deserves more than a 4, but accessibility is my only point off. Perfect for intimate events.
