Today, I was finally able to join four fully-vaccinated friends for an outdoor walk down at the Beaches! The COVID-19 restrictions of the past 16 months have kept all of us confined indoors, each in our own cocoons. Together, it was so good to enjoy the sunshine, massive tree canopies, beaches, boardwalk, see kids in the sprinkler pads or climbing the playground equipment. So good! Yes, so good!

This boardwalk that passes through Kew Gardens is one of Toronto's highlights! It can be enjoyed all year around, there always something happening and always have people going by. Stay to watch the leaves turn color or bask in the summer sun during volleyball season. Have a cool walk in the winter or just watch the lake in all its seasons. You can't go wrong with the boardwalk at Kew Gardens! Stay safe everyone!

This park is the gateway to Kew Beach on Lake Ontario in Toronto's East End - this is a gorgeous, green space with grass, trees, sculptures, picnic tables, benches and a gazebo. The streetcar stops right at the park on Queen. Close to shops and restaurants. Nearby public washrooms and a concession stand for snacks. This busy 6.5 hectare park lies in Toronto's Beach neighbourhood and stretches from Queen Street East down to the Lakeshore. Along it's Queen Street edge you'll find a cenotaph, seasonal flower beds and a library. The park interior features a wading pool and playground, trails, naturalized and open grassy areas, baseball diamond and a bandstand used for some of the many events that happen in this park. Where the park meets the beach there are tennis courts, a sports pad used as a sports area in summer and artificial ice rink in winter, an enclosed seasonal winter fire pit, and a building with change rooms, washrooms, a snack bar and a water bottle filling station. Highly recommended

Beautiful area to visit and walk each day, especially fall seasons 2020. Though Kew Gardens leads to the board walk and you can go east or west on the boardwalk or bike trails. East the boardwalk ends at Kew Balmy Beach and west really no end. Sights in all areas are amazing and great area for photography.

A charming park, nestled in a nice and pristine neighborhood. Abundant benches and a paved trail surround the park, leading to both the beaches and offers a sizeable playground. Additionally, numerous cafes and restaurants are conveniently located nearby.

A night out with friends. Hugs & laughs abound. She had a story to tell. Felt seen and heard. These moments. Unforgettable. Give thanks. Be present. Check out my poem for the Flatiron building. Give me a like if you want to see more poems. Thanks!

Went on a cool boardwalk walk with my hot girlfriend and Elyse The Police. We found some really neat frozen plants, you could tell they were frozen because of the way that they are. 10/10 would go on a date here with my long legged girlfriend again.

Absolutely love this park. The playground is awesome with a wooden castle the kid can climb on, some little boats and little houses. There is also a wading pool opened in summer. Once done with the playground you can enjoy the park with a lot of green areas, perfect for a picnic in the shade. They also have basketball fields. You can go and enjoy a walk by the lake once done with this park.

Kew Gardens is one of the special places in Toronto. I'm drawn there on any nice day. So was this Monarch. He's stopping by on his way to Mexico.

It is a lovely little park. There is a beautiful public library right beside it. There are many shops to wander and restaurants to satisfy hunger and thirsty after a walk on the boardwalk along the lake.

Kew Gardens is my favourite public park in Toronto. It's a rustic, vast and beautiful enclave of greenery, picnic chalets, little forest paths, tennis courts and hockey arenas, a big baseball court, and many more. There is also a large playground and a mini water park with water toys where children can play and enjoy themselves. One may find themselves shifting from a sunny flower garden to a wooden bridge path surrounded on both sides by imposing trees providing a pleasant shade. There is much to see here and time feels as if at a standstill. The sheer size of the trees and the century-old library right next to this park often makes me reflect on the history of this place, where children played and laughed a hundred years ago in this park that likely changed very little in that time. A perfect place for a picnic or an adventure of exploration, Kew Gardens will be an instant favourite once you spend enough time here!

1st time visitor and loved it. The cleanliness and the serenity of the place is for all ages ...and pets 😍😍. The boardwalk and ice cream or coffee in between is surely a treat for everyone having either a run...or a walk... or simply a stroll with their dogs πŸ•

Nice little park, I like to take photo shoots in it. On weekends there is a fair of various goods, decorations and food. There are many cafes and restaurants near the park. There is a beach nearby. I recommend for a walk.

Very nice park with lots of options for leisure including a hockey rink, baseball field and a snazzy new band shell for concerts. Nice wide trails meander through the park leading down to the beach and boardwalk.

Beautiful place for relaxing, observing, or walking! Green and full of floral elegance! Kew Gardens opened in 1879 by Joseph Williams and Jane Henry. One of the key spots to check out is the Kew Williams house, built by Kew Williams (Son of Joseph Williams and Jane Henry, in 1902 for his wife, featuring the Queen Anne Revival style architecture. Currently it is under the City of Toronto Inventory of heritage property.

Excellent place to be steps fro the local shops, and steps from the boardwalk and the beach. Exceptional place for a picnic too. Or if you simply want the stroll around.

Such a lovely space, and a great smaller venue. Highly exposed to weather, and washrooms are not right near to the gazebo. But if you are in the neighborhood already this a perfect spot for a walk even if nothing is happening in the park!

Pretty park for a short stroll or picnic. Lots of mature trees and a nice shaded lawn. The west side of the grounds has a "castle park" for kids, which includes am elaborate wooden play structure in the shape of a castle, cargo net, swings, canoes, play houses, climbing structures, slides and a splash pad.

Accidentally stumbled upon this place years ago!! So back in 2014 i think I used to explore the city via public tranist just mindlessly riding the ttc and seeing what is out there. This particular day i rode the college high park streetcar whose last stop was right at queen st and parliament. Bus driver told everyone to get off, wouldn't hear of me staying in the bus to loop back. πŸ˜‘ so I get off and cross the road to queen st and see a streetcar approching going eastward, and there is this nice old lady trying to get her groceries up the inconvenient old streetcars. The ones with the steps? The inaccessible ones?? Yes, those. Glad they phased those ones out. Like whose bright idea was it to have those run on the 511 route to the Toronto western hospital. How are wheelchair bound patients or ones with mobility issues with a walker or cane supposed to climb thr steep steps?? Anywhoo, I decided to help her carry her bags up and wr got to chatting when she mentioned she lived right on the lakeshore with an excellent beach and library close by! when i saw her struggling yet again to get her groceries down at her stop right infront of the library. I thought heck, why not help her again and visit the library and see the park. So I get to walking on the path down from the library and come accross the cutest little fairy door attached near the base of the tree. This little door is the only real reason I keep coming back to visit! Its just so cute!!!! There are so many things to explore there like an excellent wooden playground for children, multiple sports areas, bathrooms, a small cafe shop. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The beach itself is nice, but instead of sand its mostly pebbles and rocks. The shore isn't very child friendly as my toddler loves to play in the sand at the beach. There is a great boardwalk to stroll the lakeshore and enjoy the view. There is a dog park and also a lifeguard station, which is excellent and fully manned till sunset in the summer months. More recently was there and when we were coming back at sunset they had a huge screen set up under the stars playing the cartoon movie sing! It was an amazing experience for the kids to enjoy a movie outdoors and have dinner. Right on the street there is a tim hortons, shoppers drugmart and different food places to grab snacks. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing large park located in the beaches area of Toronto. Contains an amazing playground for kids; including splash pad, bathrooms, playground swings and the big bonus is that the playground is a giant castle structure with divergent paths and climbing ropes (great for playing a crazy game of tag). Just a hop skip and a jump down to the beach if you want to take in Lake Ontario on a summer afternoon. Annually this is also one of the key locations of the beaches Jazz festival. Recommend a visit if you're in the area and want to take in a park.
