Healey Willan Park

Park

😐 I wanted to visit this park, in homage to Healey Willan, a very respected Canadian composer, organist, writer and teacher. There is very little, if any reference to this great Canadian besides the name and some chimes. This is really just a very small community park for families, with very standard... This is a small park that includes a playground, swings, sandpit, a circular shallow water pool that operates in the summer. There are no washrooms. It is an active park during the warmer months, with many families with young children (most aged 2-8) to come by after school and on the weekend. There are drinking fountains available, but they are not always working. 3-4 picnic tables are available, and several benches for sitting.

A nice fenced park with lots of toys and activities. Only two exits to the park making it nice for parents with multiple small children. A small lending library and bulletin board make it feel like a community. There are several picnic benches, a limited water area and two stationary children's activity stations. They have a water fountain, a sand pit and a large number of toys left by parents in the area. A musical chime sits near the back for children to play with and the neighbors plant small vegetable gardens near the fence. Limited parking so plan to either walk from a distance or circle until parking opens up.

This is a great little park for young children. There are lots of toys around and a very large designated sandbox. The Playscape is also very good. The water in the splash pad was so cold, but the kids didn't seem to mind!

Swing set, jungle gym, sand pit, wading pool and a bunch of free toys left by residents for kids to enjoy. Good way to spend an hour or two.

A great little COVID escape. Towards sunset there aren't really many people here. Peaceful and quiet with gorgeous trees.

If they change the floors to the sponge stuff it would be much better for the kids. Still a good park

Nice park! I sat and read a newspaper here for an hour. It was not to busy, but there is a lot of playground stuff for kids and even some toys for the sandbox!

Beautiful little park. Perfect for families with small kids, with a nice community spirit. The splash pool is wonderful in the summer as well.

Great neighbourhood parkette, especially for the children. There's a popular Little Library at the S entrance.

Nothing terribly exciting or interesting, but it’s clean and full of happy little kids and babies.

My children always go here and they love it. There is a lot of trees and plants. Has everything that a park should have.
