Perfect picturesque picnic spot for you and your pet! You have a lovely view of the Toronto skyline, while enjoying your picnics in the summer! Reach early in the evening to ensure you get a spot as per your liking, as this park tends to get crowded in the summers. There is a running track for those looking to get moving as well as enough space to place soccer.

This evening (and other times I visited during winter) was surprisingly peaceful for a park in the metro area, filled with people. Couples (from all communities) were enjoying the high 20's weather. The view is humbling. Lost 1 star for the smokers but I'm just being harsh on this review.

By far the best view of the sunset and city skyline. This park also has a mini outdoor gym, public bathrooms, running track, baseball diamond, outdoor pool and 7 public tennis courts. The hockey rink is iced inside and outside for skating in the winter time. There is also access to the lower Don trail and many cafΓ©s and restaurants.

Riverdale Park East holds a special place in my heart, being my go-to for soaking in stunning sunsets. Summer after summer, I find its atmosphere irresistible. It's a haven for relaxation on the grass, impromptu picnics, and joyful strolls with friends. The panoramic views make it Toronto's most captivating spot. A place where every sunset becomes a cherished memory, making it the epitome of tranquility and beauty.

This colossal grassy area with a few scattered trees and benches at the roadside to sit and enjoy from a height seeing lots of people enjoying themselves in the ground is a good place to relax in the evenings. The Toronto skyline, including the famous CN Tower, provides a picturesque views that are able to fill the viewers with tranquility and great pleasure. This is a good relaxing place for the people of the neighborhood.

I came here with friends for the sunset and had a great time. It’s a beautiful big park, more like a Toronto staple where you can go for picnic or just to enjoy Toronto’s skyline at sunset. It has great views over the city’s skyline and you can enjoy your time here playing different sports or just chilling and taking it all in.

It's a nice park with a great view of downtown Toronto and especially the CN Tower. And it has a gorgeous view of the sunset. It has many things to offer for each season. During summertime, you can lay on the hill, play catch or Frisbee; run, walk or bike around the track; play baseball or soccer. In wintertime, you can enjoy sledding.

Beautiful park. Large enough to play games with friends or sit around for a picnic. The sunset is perfect with the skyline. Many people bring their dogs and play around.

Came here to see the Toronto city skyline at sunset. Stunning view and the park is very chill. A few ways to get here: walk southbound from Broadview subway station at line 2, street car (now is running as replacement bus) or via the Lower Don River Trail.

If you love sunsets, this is the place for you. The view of the 6ix from here is **Chef's kiss**. It's really popular for people just wanting to have a picnic or get a tan. The park also has trails and other amenities like outdoor ping pong tables, a swimming pool, skate park and tennis courts. Really nice!

Visited Riverdale Park one Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends. Views of the city are great! Amazing place to just hang out and have a picnic or grab a coffee. Not sure if there was a special occasion but towards the sunset there was a DJ playing music at the park. Great vibes all around.

Wow.. a beautiful park with ample spaces to do outdoor activities. One has to experience it rather than going through reviews. A beautiful time during sunset, you can take your BF/GF, your kids, your friends, and your family for an outing. Gi through the photos. The only con is the presence of weed and uneven grass surface. Also add the Washroom facilities which are not that clean.

Beautiful in summer to have a nice evening of picnic and just have a great time with friends. Also for winter best place to slide where you can have a view of the skyline of Toronto Downtown.

One of the best lookout points in Toronto. One of the best places to capture the golden hour and the gorgeous Toronto skyline. Try to be there before sunrise or sunset and see the magic with your own eyes πŸ€“

This park has the best skyline view in Toronto, and happens to be the front piece to one of my favourite neighbourhoods too. Absolutely worth visiting if you’re a Toronto resident, or just in the city for a day trip.

(11/05/2023): A quintessential Toronto staple that you must visit if you haven't already! With its iconic view of the city, it is truly a treat to watch the sunset and the city skyline illuminate as the night draws near! As a business student, it's fun to point out buildings in the Financial District like the buildings for BMO, EY, and TD - among others. I would caution first time goers to bring comfortable shoes - there is a steep incline that, if not careful, could cause someone to fall and roll over - while I haven't seen that happen, it certainly feels like you could if you weren't paying attention. I would suggest walking slowly down along the incline - moreover, I would suggest bringing a blanket to sit on, if you do have reservations sitting on the grass. There is a lot of loose dusty dirt, so keep that in consideration. I brought a plastic woven mat to sit on, but I would suggest a fabric blanket or canvas to sit on because the incline meant that I would slip on the mat. There are a lot of food options available, with a Pizza Pizza, NoFrills, Chatime and many other places available for consumption. If you're willing to walk 20~ minutes, there is also a Dairy Queen, where you can get an iconic blizzard or cone, but be wary that with rising temperatures it will melt by the time you walk to the park. There are a lot of people at the park, so it can be difficult to find good/decent seating. Like any park in/near downtown, there is the lingering stench of weed, so if you don't mind that, you should be good! Be aware that there will also be a lot of young teens/adults or people in general taking photos/videos, which may come across as obnoxious to some, but I think it's nice - though it may disrupt your view at times. Expect that you may be asked to take a group photo, so be careful when shuffling around or you may lose your balance. With a convenient location close to Broadview Station, I would recommend taking public transport as parking can be difficult to find. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the park, whether you come by yourself, with friends, or family, you will have a good time watching the view of the city. Fun addendum: In the photos attached, you can see that there was a film crew! What for, I'm not sure, but I imagine it was either an indie/student production.

Just like Riverdale Park West, this park features an amazing sledding hill as well as some stunning views from the top of the hill! Unlike the west hill, this slope is not as steep but just longer, making it a pain to get back up. 9/10 Definitely recommend trying out the West hill!

Breathtaking view. The skyline is fabulous. The park is fabulous. The only low point is you don't have too many options to eat around the park. Yes there are eating joints 300-400 meters away from the park but it would have been better it was closer to the park. It was a great place for a sunny day after winters.

Large park with areas for walking, skating, running, and tobogganing when it snows. Easily accessible from Broadview Subway Station with many cafes and restaurants nearby. The sunset views of the skyline are incredible. Bonus point: many cute dogs found at this park

Excellent place to come and have a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. There were a lot of people just hanging around, enjoying the view and having picnics. Saw some people walking their dogs as well. The views of the Toronto skyline are just breathtaking.

The best spot in Toronto to spend a good evening with friends and family. Sunset is the cherry on the top. The way the scenery changes from the sun setting behind the downtown city line to the whole city getting amped up with light right in front of you is just bliss. You can hangout there and bring food over to have a good soulful meal with a natural Ambience. But, please do not litter. There are dustbins there. Pick your leftover stuff after you and make it a better place to hangout. The one thing i love about this place is that i get to see dogs 😍. People are playing Frisbee there and cycling and also saw a group doing yoga. So, what else you want. You get to see all the cultures of Toronto embracing there uniqueness at a single place with no boundations. This definitely is my go to stop from now on.

Riverdale park has an amazing view of the Toronto skyline! This place gets pretty busy during the summer time and it’s a struggle to find parking in the area. You can capture a beautiful sunset here. I love the vibes at night time. It’s an amazing spot to hang out or have picnics. Love grabbing bbt and coming here with friends!

Leisure Ice skate area is quite small but good place to practice nonetheless. There’s no skate rental so there’s not much people here.

What a stunning view! I can’t believe I’ve walked past this place in the past and never acknowledge how beautiful the view was! My husband and I spent our anniversary here watching the sunset on a picnic blanket with some churros for dessert! You see the CN tower and downtown while the sun is setting! I definitely want to come back and see fireworks from there and see the buildings light up at night! Definitely a nice place for a picnic as well!!!

Nice view of the city line. Great to just sit on the hill and watch the sun set. There is also tennis courts and a pool located seperately. But there is a lot of rpad construction happening in the area. Not many benches as well.

Beautiful park! I had a picnic there with friends and I couldn't believe how big it was. There's a track you can use or huge field space to play anything you want. The slopes will definitely see tobogganing this year.

Rode pass this place couple of times while making a delivery, lots of people hanging out here. Enormously field with a track and baseball diamond area. However a great view of Downtown Toronto. No wonder why it's so unique to look at. Great positive energy for sure 😊

My son n daughter in-law took me to the Riverdale park today on 7 May 2022 as the temperature was 16Β°C pleasant n pleasing sunny..with their baby for an outing. There were many families with children relaxing on the grass with some drinks n snacks, looked like a picnic spot.. It was nice to spend some time in the pleasant weather though it was windy
