One of our most traveled beaches. When you need beach or just a walk along the trails. Mornings are best if you like less traffic. Windy days you'll see all the wind surfers out enjoying the water. This weekend was really busy on the water. But had some great shots and amazing sails. TTC buses travel and stop, pick up at the beach. Food vendors truck all summer and looks like he has moved out for the season. One of the largest off leash dog parks in Toronto besides Riverdale but it comes with a water front view. Biking trails that travel east and west along Toronto's shore line that are paved and some much fun. Not only for bikes, roller blades, boards and pedestrians.

One of the urban beach located in the downtown Toronto. It's neighborhood is Tom Thompson Park. There is also a bike trail can connect u to Tom Thompson trail. The trail is short, about 2km. round trip is over an hour. There are lot of water sport there, dog is allowed. Last week I was there, I saw many windsurfers, kateboarder. The Beach is the perfect place to catch the breeze and rip across the Toronto Waterfront. The channel between Cherry Beach and Tommy Thompson Park provides few waves but awesome wind. There is a windsurfing club nearby, perfect for ppl who wants to learn windsurfing. Along the beach, you can walk around, a loop trail .Dog leash off area is available. I saw many dogs there. A great place to spend a couple hours in the afternoon. Easy hike.

It is the most beautiful dog park in the east end, and we have a lot of great dog parks here. Everyone needs to come here, dog or not and enjoy the beauty and relaxation of Cherry Beach. Plus they have a Chip Truck! Nothing is better than french fries and a can of pop on a beautiful sunny day!

This place has changed over the years only draw back is it needs more picnic tables and fire pits or benches and a better overall appeal to this man made beach. Was the go to spot when covid started but got so busy like many other places. But nothing beats the fresh air and nature. I hope they develop it nicely with all the waterfront projects happening.

Cherry Beach Clarke Beach Park is a beautiful and clean beach. The beach is in a very convenient location with quick bus access, a food truck, and washrooms. There’s a good amount of parking space available. It’s a great place to take a stroll or walk your dog. There’s a fenced off area of dogs off leash. Though I never got in the water, the beach seems like a popular area for swimming, boating, and sailing.

Although a little difficult to access with all the construction in the area, this little beach is great to watch the sun rise or go for a swim. There's plenty of parking and it's been freshly paved. Highly recommend.

It had been years since I had been here... Over twenty to be a little more specific. It was great to be back there today. The beach is very natural, lots of trails to explore.

The beach is good, the river is calm and not so depth in that area. There was a food truck and washrooms nearby. It is easier to get there by bus, but the traffic to cross the bridge is intense. Better if you can bike.

Great beach area and park that’s close to the city but doesn’t feel like it. There’s a chip truck on site that’s convenient and the food is good but not cheap. Lots of areas to sit. An off leash, fenced in dog park is always quite busy but encompasses a large area. Some nice views of the city scape from the west side. Lots of places for photo opportunities. Swimming, paddle boards and sail rentals nearby. Lifeguards are posted but check for signs and flags for when on duty. Washrooms/change rooms are on site also and were clean. Ample parking available. Beach is nice with lots of sand and shaded treed areas as well. Located at the foot of Cherry St. A nice place to walk through or spend the day at the beach.

The beach is absolutely littered with broken bottle glass, butts and burned out campfires, left over from illegal beach parties. The city should be ashamed, for not controlling the this situation and in turn maintaining our beautiful waterfront. It would be nice to walk the shoreline, without cutting your foot, on the neck of a discarded beer bottle.

Took a little stop here to go to the bathroom before heading somewhere else. Beautiful water and Peaceful. Everyone seemed to be waterboarding, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking and just enjoying the nice day. A lot of parasailing and what seemed to be a club of them. Very cool to see. So many dogs and owners who took care of their business as well. I never knew this beach was here and I'm so happy we found it ❤️

This beach is one of the serene places to go because you won’t find more people there. You either can spend your me time there or go with friends it will be fun for relaxation. I go in the winters even. It’s always fun going there. Love this place. Yes, not to miss, you can’t do bonfire there, that’s totally restricted.

Great place to launch for a paddle. Water was not the cleanest due to recent heavy rainfall, but okay if not going for a swim. Construction in the area made it difficult to get to.

Nice urban beach area, has some trees lining the sandy beachfront. Not many bathrooms or amenities but it seems like there's some construction going on that might change this in upcoming years. Part of the parking lot has some serious potholes.

It's my favorite beach in the city. It's always busy on the weekend, but it's a fun busy! I prefer going in the evening as they sometimes have different parties going. You can find a spot to bbq, play music with a group of friends and even relax by the water if you want! Also, a great spot to Kayak or paddle board!

It will take some time to get here because of construction along the way but it's worth the drive to get away from the city for a few hours. Beautiful beach and park here. Lots of space along the beach to relax and enjoy the view.

Pleasant little beech with decent access to the water, could do with stones removing and more sand putting down, bus stop, refreshment vehicle and washrooms very close by

On the day I visited this beach, it was an unseasonably warm start to autumn. As such, there were fewer bicyclists and walkers on the path. I was surprised to find these walking trails, it is a few steps from a bustling civic centre and heavy auto traffic. That said, once you enter the park and walk on the trail, you are surrounded by lush nature and calmness. Pack a folding chair and a book if you would like to step out of line and onto one of many tiny idyllic spots along Lake Ontario. I managed to find a beach spot and let the water lick my feet and watch some boats sail past. One note to remember: the trails are wide enough for cars to drive on, and there were a few times I had to let a car pass by.

The beach area for dogs was much better. It was more open. Now the shrubs have grown almost to the water's edge.

Small beach of Ontario lake best known for its park and recreational area. Should have been more clean though.

A nice place to visit for a picnic, a swim, to launch SUP board from or a kayak. I visit often on my bike and will continue to do so for as long as I can.

A great getaway from the hectic pace that is life in Toronto. One bus from Union Station that is great way to get there. It's a very casual environment and before long you'll notice the stress melting away.

It's a nice quiet place to visit with friends and or family. It's never too crowded and always clean. I've never gone into the water because I personally find it too cold but I often see many people enjoying water sports activities.

A nice fenced in dog park that is massive compared to others, great for your pups to run and even get lost in. Has a beach and has great views. Parking however can be frustrating as there is limited spots

Beautiful corner of Toronto waterfront, fall looks great here. Full of recreational trails and nature. It's not perfect because getting here through industrial areas or places constantly under construction. But this is a great spot to enjoy when it's a nice day.

Two wonderful beaches within the large leash free area. Great for dogs that like to swim and fetch. Large open spaces for dogs to run and explore. Lots of parking adjacent to two entrances. Plenty of garbage cans at entrances.

This beach is a good spot to come with friends and chill. Definitely if you prefer a quiet time a weekday is perfect for that. Though during the summer tends to get busy most of the time.

  • 5/5 Rajesh J. 1 year ago on Google
Great escape near Downtown Toronto. Nice clean water for swim, Life guard on duty and not busy on weekdays.

  • 3/5 Igor S. 1 year ago on Google
Great location for family/friends fun time at the beach, lots of dogs there as dogs are allowed. Please be aware that there are plenty of space inside the parking area towards the end on the left side. However only the edges of the parking are marked and designated as parking spots. In the center, there are lots of space but not painted or designated as parking spot. Everyone who parks there every day gets $100 CAD ticket. City of Toronto won't update their signs, they won't mark the floor and make additional spaces, the parking officer even seats there and tell nothing to people, he just wait and go for a round of tickets. This has been happening for years, they are only interested in taking money from families.

Great dog park ... If you're going in the water bring water shoes.

  • 5/5 Bill T. 1 year ago on Google
I have rated the excellent dog park before but the actual park and beach is most excellent too. There are picnic areas a nice sandy beach and an ok washroom facility. As the park is popular the large parking lot fills up quick on nice days and holidays. There is a very excellent bus service from Union station #12 Cherry beach is a direct bus service in the summer every 10 minutes. Highly recommended as getting to the beach is a bit of a challenge due to the ongoing Port lands rehabilitation project. Worth the trip though. For tourist and local alike. There are many spots that look back to a very spectacular view of downtown.

Great human beach next to the dog beach. Some dogs make their way over here, so if you’re not dog friendly, go elsewhere. When the water/tide is low, it’s particularly rocky.

👍 Good food as always! Convenient. Kids friendly. One star less because in the men’s washrooms there is no arrangement for baby diapers change. I managed it somehow but for a single dad with baby it is not convenient. I hope management would put up something to resolve it. Thank you.
