Nice place to visit on a weekend. Free parking for the season. Many trails for jogging and walks. Fresh air. Zero traffic noise. Good place for bird-watching. Have a small park for kids. Can watch flights too. Highly recommend this place to enjoy with your family/loved ones.

The park was a Canadian air force station till 1995 after which it's been converted to a 291 acres park. It has a lake and dog walking space, great place to bike get your kids and lots of green area to destress from a busy life of the city. If you are a tourist you can relax here in the evening after whole day of shopping and site seeing. Only challenge can be on how ro reach here.

A nice pathway to walk and bring your dog for a walk. Itโ€™s a new park and trees are still small. Thereโ€™s also some construction that has started in the spring 2020. They added a dog park. Great sunsets ๐ŸŒ…

Came here for the Veld Electronic Music Festival for the first time and it was an Epic experience to say the least. Iโ€™d almost say itโ€™s a must experience once in your lifetime if youโ€™re into these outdoor music festivals ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

We went there to see the changes and we loved. The infrastructure is looking very good. The place is very well maintained. The apples trees are a charming and Bentley loved the dog park. I just think the there is few spot for kids, as the park is huge and they have just one playground. Also I miss a splash place. But it is really good. Well done project.

Nice large park within the city to walk around, including a playground, large pond and hills. There is also a leash free area. Free parking, and they also have EV hargers available. Some of the park decorations have an aeronautical theme due to the Downsview Airport being close by. I would recommend visiting.

Amazing park with lots of space and accessible trails! There are a lot of signs that are easy to follow and maps available. The parking was free and wasnโ€™t too crowded with people during the weekend. Itโ€™s a great place to visit during the weekend for some nature walks and scenic views especially during the spring/summer weather!

It's a nice park for a family picnic. It has one large pond and a few other smaller ponds. Also there are hills from where you can enjoy the sunset and nice view. I live closer to the park and it takes a few minutes walk to reach it. My wife and I walk the trails of the park almost every day in the summer. I forgot to mention that there are organic vegetable garden where you can get fresh produce. I would encourage you to visit it if you live closer.

Easy to get to and there's plenty of parking if you go during off-peak hours. The park is fairly large with lots of open space so I often switch up my walking routes. Expect to see families, pets, and cyclists.

Offers a variety of walking/biking paths varying at different distances. There is a beautiful lake with a board walk that is very scenic/picturesque. You can bring your dog to the dog park, which is enclosed so your dog can't run rampant. There is also a playzone, an orchard and more. There is also a bathroom close to the lake as well. If you feel up to it, there is also a Dairy Queen down the street at Keele and Shepherd.

Amazing wildlife observation opportunities here in an urban surroundings, owl, hawk and many other birds to name a few. Many people enjoy quiet morning and fresh air jogging, walking or just simply taking the fantastic view sitting in the red Muskoka chair on top of the hill.

My fur baby and I visited this park to attend the dog Halloween trick or treat event. Amazing park with a very nice walking trail. We will be returning as I want to climb up one of those hills to see that view.

I took these all on Canada Day! It was so beautiful that day. We decided to go to downsview park to watch fireworks that day and let me tell you guys itโ€™s absolutely worth it! There were so many people spaced out on the grass waiting for the firework show to begin and once it began it was so astronomical๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ I absolutely loved it! Also when the sunsets you can see it from downsview park and itโ€™s literally eye catching๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ This place is perfect for anyone who likes places with lots of nature!!! I highly recommend this place!

We had a family outing to Pumpkinfest 2022. Me, my partner and kids absolutely had the time of our lives. Excellent weather almost like a mild summer day. Everything extravaganza from food stores, carnival games, carnival rides, face painting, pumpkin picking, bouncy castles, wood cutting, tractor rides, dog show's and the best part seeing Bluey ๐Ÿ˜

Park's pretty clean, well maintained. It has washrooms. Great for picnics, skating, jogging, biking, or fishing. You can also see the CN tower a bit from top of the hill. No workout area but hopefully they will make one in the future like pull up bars and dip bars for calisthenics.

My daughter and I took her dog to the dog park. It's a great dog park, it's clean, has drinking water for the dogs, places for the humans to sit and wide open spaces for the dogs to run.

Went for Veld, fantastic experience. Beautiful grounds and well maintained. For the festival there were plenty of washrooms and water stations, not sure how it would look the rest of the year though. There is parking nearby and the metro/subway station is within walking distance to the main entrance to the park. Just get off at Downsview Park station. If you are thinking of going to an event hosted at this park, definitely go. The environment will be great at the very least.

I can't wait for the saplings in some areas to grow. This park is pretty nice for some mild-intensity cardio, whether it's walking, jogging or biking. I recommend bird-watching and going down the unpaved routes. It does require the map on-site to have properly labelled areas, as people who are not familiar may get a little lost (like going from the lake to the kid's playground) and that comment about the trees? Well I noticed for a while some saplings along the main path that will come in very handy during summer ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Nice park and even saw some cool and beautiful wildlife! We even saw a turtle! And some very cute hatchlings! There were new apple tree's that they planted and it was blossoming so pretty! I really like how it looked!

Great airplanes to see at Downsview airport. They were gated, but you could get a view. One parking lot had clean outdoor stall washrooms, I really appreciated that!

This park is perfect for a trail, walk with your dog, play sports or just breath and contemplate the view. The washrooms are clean and the big red chair is amazing!

  • 5/5 Diana G. 4 months ago on Google
Loved this park and will be back! It was so nice to sit on the chair uphill and just observe the hawks flying past and watch the view during sunset

Great urban park. Tiny lake with fountains, a few small trails in addition to the main loop, especially beautiful in the early fall.

I always pass by this area on my commute to work but have never walked it until recently. There is a volunteer-run organization every Sat that leads 5km runs (free, dog and child friendly). Itโ€™s a big park with lots of space, a variety of amenities including ball courts and a fenced-in dog park, and even big hills for some views. You can watch planes here too - thereโ€™s a hangar very close by.

I don't know much about the park but just came back from the halal rib fest and was absolutely awesome. One more day left so all of you better go. And be ready to wait 2-3 hours for ribs and stuff. Until then enjoy the few photos i took. Cheers

Downsview Park is the biggest and the most beautiful public park that has been built by far. It has so much space people can picnic, ride their bikes and if wanted walk. You want to complete your 10,000 steps? Come to Downsview Park you'll do it just by going around it ok once, If you find all the walkway...๐Ÿง Perhaps you won't because it's so big the place is everywhere. It has a pond, Apple Trees and lots of places to run. I guarantee you, you will love it here. ๐Ÿฅฐ P.S And it has a giant RED chair. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was there for veld, great layout. Didn't see this pond from the main photo though. There was alot of space, good grass areas. Clean air, except when jumping on the dirt areas ( in front of the main stage) it was hard to find a place to stay nearby, but to be fair we waited a bit late to book

Lots of chairs, pathways, views, and hills, can see downsview airport, a nice lake, plenty of shops nearby, easy access to ttc, and lots of parking

  • 5/5 Korede O. 2 years ago on Google
Downsview Park is a good place to relax and create beautiful moments with your friends and family. It's more fun during summer. The water view from the hills gives it a more appealing look that people would love to take memorable photographs. When you're on the bridge and taking photographs with your phone, hold on to it tightly so it doesn't fall inside the water and be careful of other tiny belongings as well like keys etc because there are holes on the bridge over the water

Nice view , and you could see Toronto downtown and Mississauga Downtown from here, in apple season you can find some.

  • 5/5 David T. 2 years ago on Google
A developing park but not bike friendly when entering or leaving since there is limited/none bike trails accessible to outside of the park. For cyclists, it's nice to visit but it's all main roads, to exit and enter. Cars also drive fast around here.

This is one of the best dog parks I've been too. It is enclosed with log fencing, and grass and mulch Pathways... Amazing views of downsview.. Also a small dog pen and and large one..

Very beautiful park. The main path is very wide and offers plenty of room to walk around. The stonework is also easy on the eyes. Lots of different types of flowers and other plants to gaze at during your walk. I even saw a few rabbits and other wild animals during my walk in the early morning! Lots of other attractions to see around the park, from art pieces to some other grounds, which I unfortunately did not explore.

Downsview Park is a fantastic park to go through if you have a couple hours to really spend and fully appreciate the scenery. It was a dog park for both with dogs to give them a break and people who love dogs to be surrounded by them. Has a park for people with kids, and mini lake in the center for a nice scenic break to maybe eat lunch around. This place provides a great workout as it is a massive park with lots of hills and scenic points to relax from
