This was my first time eating Ethiopian food and the meat/veggie platter for 2 that we ordered was excellent. Thanks to the beautiful woman who allowed us to eat at 12 am as she was closing the restaurant at that time. I assumed she was Lucy. By accommodating us , she went beyond the call of duty . Thank you and we will be back again.

Enjoyed the vegetarian/vegan platter which is a perfect portion for one…not always easy to find since many dishes are typically served as a shared portion. The ginger tea was also so freshly made. Taste of our food and energy from the staff were both lovely and authentic. will definitely return whenever in the area ~

First time in an Ethiopian restaurant, the ambiance was very nice they play music to suit the place. We tried everything in one platter on the menu with the coffee ceremony , the beans were roasted and coffee was served. The food was awesome so much flavor and we loved it. If you are foodie thus us a must try well worth the price and quantity and quality. I would go there again in summer for sure.

This place hit the spot! The food was super fresh and they also had gluten free injera which I appreciated as someone who is celiac. We got the veggie and meat platter and loved the variety. Very flavourful and delicious!

We have been here several times. Food quality is good and yummy. Service is fast and good. Washrooms are in the basement and looks clean but I dont know why the basement smells filthy. This is something you need to figure out soon in the future.

I realize there are many great reviews of this restaurant and I have no intention of being original. The food was fantastic. The person who served us made us feel at home in such a welcoming way. I had the lamb dish with the onions and peppers. The meat was tender perfectly spiced. We were three, another person took the beef and the last the vegetarian. All was wonderful. The tea was also a spiced mix that should not be missed!

My family and I have been going to Lucy's for years now and it never fails to impress us with its delicious, authentic, Ethiopian food. The service is fantastic, the people there are so nice and they will even give you popcorn at the end! Definitely recommend going there if you haven't! ❤️

First time in Toronto, Canada! I had to get my cultural food so I searched and I felt drawn to this place. I drove 30mins and I must say my family and I aren’t disappointed. The restaurant is small and felt like home. Hadas, very welcoming and motherly made us feel like we’re were at home. The server, Haftom was very nice and professional, welcomed us with a big smile. Food was amazing! We had the platter and also tibs, very delicious!!! She made coffee and popcorn. My mother had a cup tea, my dad had coffee. They said it was very good. Overall, we give Hadas and her team 5 ⭐️ 💯 Thanks for the best service. We will definitely come back when in town.

My boyfriend took me here for dinner on my birthday because I've been craving Ethiopian food and this place did not disappoint. It's not fancy or over the top and in my experience, I find the non-descript spots are always the best. The service was great, the atmosphere is cozy and homey. We got the shareable meat and veggie plate. The portions were great and the lamb stew is definitely a fav. I also had a cup of fresh ginger tea that was A1. Definitely going to go back.

Very tasty vegan sampler plate with a generous serving of injera. The salad provides a lovely, crisp, fresh counterpoint to the cozy legume stews. Service is a friendly but a titch slow. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back.
