We missed live jazz so decided to go to The Reservoir. We made a reservation last week for last night, Friday night. The musicians were phenomenal and didn't disappoint. The singer was awsome! True talent! We felt welcomed on the phone and at the entrance. The seating was spaced perfectly, yet cozy. Serving staff were efficient and super friendly. Food was 5 stars! Fine ingredients, tasty, and good variety of options considering that they just opened last week. The cocktails were perfect. Grapefruit Martini was my favourite but the bartender was happy to make whatever drink your heart desires. Prices were reasonable too. The crowd was a good mix, young and old. Highly recommend it if you're looking for an upscale jazz night with fine food.

We had one of the best nights here!!! The live band was amazing and the food delicious !! You need to try the Wild Mushroom Devil Toast! Great time at a great price! You should make a reservation if you want a table. If not, you can drop by and stand around the bar.

The reservation is necessary. They open the door sharply at 7.30 pm so coming before the time makes you wait outside. I loved the dimly lit ambiance from the very first step; very elegant and captivating that enhances the overall experience. The concert was excellent; qood quality classic jazz. Food was marvelous as well. Each dish unfolded its own narrative and design, revealing hidden notes of amazing flavors. A fantastic experience i recommend to all jazz lovers!

It's a really nice place to go out for a date. The music is good if you like jazz. We went there on a Saturday night. The sliders were nothing special but the appetizer with the wild mushrooms on bread was really good. We had to pay a $15 cover charge each to get in. Normally I would give three stars but because of the service and the band Ill give a 4.

The food was delicious, the music and the atmosphere was amazing. It was little bit crowded for post COVID. It has a $15 entrance fee. I recommend to make a reservation if you like to sit down. If not, by around 11, some of the seats will be empty, you may be able to sit on those. We went there on Friday night and Alison Young and her band were amazing.

Wanted to have a beautiful date night with my mom who was visiting and couldn't have been happier. Made a reservation ahead, and ordered a nice round of appetizers and even dessert. The mushroom toasts were heavenly and the singer was amazing. The chocolate raspberry was also delightful. Loved the ambience where the dim lights and live music really set the tune for the night. Truly a night I won't ever forget.

We been going to The Reservoir Launge for years. The staff is super amazing. Musicians are so talented and amazing we love them all. The manager Ray is always very professional and friendly. This is one of the best spots in the city to enjoy live music and amazing service, food and atmosphere. That's why we recently choose this venue for our wedding I highly recommend this place for your outing.

A true Toronto gem. Easily the best jazz bar in town. What a true jazz bar is meant to be, intimate, unpretentious, all about the music. Still one of my favourites hangs and one of the nest spots in town for live performances. Get the sliders when you're there, they are heavenly!!

A lovely way to enjoy some blues and some jazz! Our server (and the owner) were so kind—it made our experience that much more special. The cocktails are expensive, but delicious. The food is also so good—I got the mushroom pizza and it was perfection. The vibe is the reason to go; it’s very chill and has some wonderful music. We suggest going to dinner so that you have the table for the entire night.

Loved the vibe. We were lucky to go at a time when we got company in dancing. This lovely 60something guy had full on energy to dance through the night to an amazing blues band! Loved my old fashion and ricotta crostini. Entry was just $10 pp and we got lucky with seats in front of the band.

This Toronto landmark for jazz & blues aficionados has been around for over 20 years and never fails to deliver a wonderful experience. Great spot for dates, meet-up with friends or even on your own. The bands & vocal talents are amazing.

My favourite jazz bar in Toronto no doubt! So glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Had an awesome night here even without a reservation. Such good vibes! The band is amazing, great service and environment, not to mention the food is pretty good too. I’m gonna make this place my second home!

Wonderful experience! So happy to have live music and dancing again. We were greeted well and welcomed despite some confusion with our reservation. Great service and amazing music. We had so much fun dancing the night away! Volume of music could be just a touch lower is our only feedback. Will be back for sure! Glad this place has survived the pandemic. Let’s all support this place and keep it going for years to come! ❤️

We had a very bad experience with them on Valentine’s Day. They made us pay cash at the door for a very mediocre Jazz music. Squeezed us with others around a small table right under the speaker which was too loud and we couldn’t hear each other. Our ears started aching and when we asked them for accommodation they were surprisingly very RUDE and said: “it is what it is” overall nice decoration but running by unprofessional team.

I definitely enjoyed the vibe of this place. We booked a reservation and somehow it didn't go through so when we arrived we didn't have a table reserved but there were plenty of tables at that time. The waitress was really friendly and helpful when we asked about wines and food. The music was really good. There's a 10 cad cover at the entrance but it is definitely worth it. I hope to go back soon.

Atmosphere was amazing! Book reservations in advance if you want a table - however we enjoyed our whole night at the bar. Had a chance to mingle, be close to the music. And avoid crowds when we needed the washroom. If they don’t have your favourite drink on the menu, just ask bartender - they’re well versed and pretty much make you anything you want! Looking forward to my next visit. Live music was amazing and kept us in the romantic blues all night long. Brought me back to a time era I wish I was from. Pizza was delicious as well! Great little snack to nibble on between drinks.

Amazing music! Good food and drinks. Doesn’t look cheap hut it is very affordable. It was just dark😂

Came here to celebrate birthday of my friend and was pleasantly surprised! Didn't know this place is that good, otherwise would have visited much sooner. Red hot rumble is an amazing band, btw! Very nice ambiance, half dark rooms, candles on the tables. Very romantic. Multiple couples sitting around, enjoying the music. The bar has a good list of drinks and cocktails. Food was good as well, not overpriced, good selection. Very nice place for a date, but mind it - when the band is playing - music gets loud, so if you expect to catch up with your friends - probably not gonna happen.

Consistently the best jazz bar downtown. The talent and atmosphere are second to none. Bar service is usually a little slow, but that's not the fault of the bartenders- they just don't have enough people working on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night. If you have a table and go for dinner, the food is decent as well. I recommend it.

This was my first time at the reservoir lounge and I had a wonderful time. I got to hear Queen Pepper perform. There is a $15 cover charge per person and they only take cash. Where we were seated, it was hard to see the stage but overall it was a great experience. Food was small plates and pizza, nothing too special. Drinks were great! I got a pear cocktail and it was amazing. Best of all was the jazz band. The band was outstanding.

This place is an institution! It's cozy, always fun and even when it's not packed it has great energy! It's in the basement, very dark, live jazz music making it a great date place! Be aware, you often have to pay cover. ($15/p.p)

If you love Jazz, this is definitely the place to be. It gets really crowded and there's not a lot of space but the atmosphere and music is great.

Back to this legendary venue for live jazz. RL never disappoints, should be on everyone's stop for live jazz music. Front-house staff are amazing! Shout out to Shauna for being a remarkable host/server

The band was great! Great service. The set up of the room is a bit weird and our seats were in a weird angle to see the band, but we could hear it perfectly. I wish the wine selection would have been bigger and better. The cocktail list was good, so that's what we ordered. I would go back!

Had reservations tonight. Cancelled them by phone. But my buddy and I still attended. When arrived there I checked with the manager and ask did he get my phone message. He started to swear at me. I ask him who he was swearing at and this was amazing. When I got my bill they charge me for a extra bottle of champagne. When the band was over and before I headed out I ask the manager did he check my phone message. He replied “follow my rules and you won’t get sworn at”. His company really needs to teach him manners if they are capable of this. Won’t be going there again.

One of the oldest jazz bars in Toronto. On the weekend you should booked a table in advance for being near to the stage.

the ambience was so good - and the best thing abt the bar is the live music! It was super exciting and enjoyable in the same time! Plus, the Martinis and the cocktails are so good! They are very diverse, in terms of flavour and strength! Would visit again!!

Fabulous place, our first visit. Easy parking at Green P at the bottom of Church Street and a short walk to the bar. Live music (Queen Pepper) was great if you like jazz/soul like we do. Excellent food, we had sliders and prosciutto pizza. Server Rene was very attentive and offered valued advice on food and beverages. Have a bit of an in through bartender Janice. Looking forward to our next visit.

I absolutely love this place. Performances are also entertaining. Great drinks! Appetizer type meals.. if you want a table however, book about a week or 2 inadvance..

Great place, great vibe, friendly staff, great cocktails and amazing music. Kudos for keeping the temperature cool in a place that was packed full. The jazz band was on point and had the crowd singing and dancing along with them. Great night out, definitely going to return

Very cool underground bar. Good cocktail selection, a decent amount of seating. Saw an amazing jazz band play for a few hours. I think cover was $20?

Such a vibe! Didnt like that there is a cover charge because we came late and only caught 2 songs and still had to pay to hang out... but in winter your options are limited and the music was amazing. Crowd is also more mature so it felt good to be there.

One of the best jazz bars in Toronto with lots of great artists every night a different shoe and vibe. I’d recommend making a reservation in advance, but they also take walk ins. The music is spectacular, and the cocktails and food are great! Prepare for a fun night!

Absolutely brilliant. This place is everything you hope to get from a Jazz lounge and more. Celebrated my birthday here last week and couldn’t be happier with Ray, the service and overall atmosphere. We’ll be returning for another great night out!

  • 4/5 Amir J. 1 year ago on Google
Great live music, very talented artists. Service could get better, and seating for dinner is super tight. Tables are so close to one another, to an extent that people on the next table keep hitting each other with their chairs, and its hard to move around. There is a huge empty area close to the coat check that should be utilized better than having people crammed in small tables

  • 5/5 Nerses G. 2 years ago on Google

Music is great, and place is intimate and live the cocktails. But food is outdated. Need update on menu. Food is not sustainable vegan friendly, I can't eat here:(

What a memory this place created for my partner and I. Had such an amazing time! Starting with the music, the talent was unforgettable, the musicians; interactive and enchanting! The atmosphere was buzzing and we felt so relaxed and comfortable while also being surrounded by incredible entertainment, laughter and ambient lighting. A huge shout out to our server Ava, we asked for a specific tables number we liked in hopes to reserve it for ourselves next time which then she went out of her way to get us sat there that same night! She was warm and we had great chats with her. The staff was so lovely and their host made us feel like VIPs the moment we stepped in. We highly recommend The Reservoir Lounge and we will definitely be back for the next date night. Thanks to everyone for making such a special evening for us! ♥️
