Happy 5th Anniversary to the Saulter Street Brewery!!! A lovely spot just south of Queen East. a good variety of beers - with staples like Riverside Copper Pilsner or Whirs&Clanks Japanese Style Lager and seasonal short run series. The place is fully open now: with a classy indoor space and two patios (facing south and east). The south patio is really great for this time of the year (fall) as even when temperature drops it is still warm there and so nice to catch a few more rays of sun before cooler and cloudier days arrive. Staff is very attentive, friendly and knows their products very well. There is no kitchen per se, but some snacks are offered (cheese and meet boards, corn chips with guacamole, or patties). A nice quiet alternative to sidewalk seating: you really won't see (or hear) any cars here apart from the parked ones and an occasional resident returning home. a great place to have a birthday party. the original post from 2 years ago (2020) the bottle shop is open through covid-19 which is wonderful. the place is a bit hard to find at first but it is definitely worth the effort. a good variety of brews. Sadly, the Life's is a Hazy Beach IPA, picture, is out of stock (it was a limited time edition I had learned) but the Spring Chicken Maibock (6%) and Riverside Pilsner (5%) are very tasty too. Overall I find the Saulter Street Brewery beers very good and of high quality, while not overly heavy on strange/unusual flavours that afflict some craft products. during the pandemic payment is by debit/credit only (unless their terminal is down then they take cash). the prices are very reasonable, with regular tall boy cans slightly above $3 and smaller cans below $3. I highly recommend this place and I am very happy to support it in this difficult time. I can't wait for the end of restrictions to go and visit the tap room as well.

It was a bit hard to find at first, we didn’t know they are located literally behind residential areas (you have to go sort of inside of park and turn left) but they are definitely worth to visit in Queen st East/Leslieville area! They don’t have lots of beer on taps compare to other breweries nearby but their beer tasted fresh and delicious, plus location is super cool. Unfortunately they didn’t have a beer flight but they would give you a little bit of small tasting if you wonder about beer flavour before you commit to the pint. Very cosy and industrial vibe inside. They have many board game and some food options available as well. I can’t wait to visit again and try new beers!

A craft brewery the way they are supposed to be. Tucked into a back road, a bit hard to find, next to rail road tracks with occasional trains roaring by. Delicious craft beers and package store for take away. Very local and friendly. Can sit out on the patio or drink indoors at the bar amongst the brewery equipment and barrels. So wonderful on a warm summer day. Pure craft!

Very cool atmosphere, large accessible washroom, and great beers. You have to walk off of Queen E a bit but very much worth the discovery of this great Brewery. Staff were very fast and friendly. Definitely a must try for any beer lover! Some board games and cards are available for use.

One of the many new breweries opening up in the Eastend. Good amount of space and I like the small-barn vibe. They only had 3 beers on tap for my visit, and one was sold out. Tried their Belgian table beer but was not a fan. Prices for the howler seems pretty good, but individual pints seems on par with others. I am leaving my review as 3-stars for now, but this place has potential if they can focus on making a great beer or two and build on that.

Went with a group of four guys Saturday afternoon. We parked on a side street but realized there was plenty of parking behind this place. Was a perfect day for a patio. This location had a good amount of seating outside. Our IPAs and lagers were tasty and easy to drink. The inside looked nice however due to covid we were not able to drink there. There are two washrooms one downstairs and one upstairs. The one downstairs is a one person type of washroom so expect some waiting.

If you have a leather jacket and a cowboy hat that you don't know what to do with it, this is the place to put them to use! The had a variety of beers and I tried some and all of them were awesome. The double IPA and the stout were my favourite and the place is very hip too! They had a DJ that were playing music from vinyls. This place is pet-friendly and you can take your dog with yourself inside.

Loved this brewery! The atmosphere is awesome in its own tucked away spot in Leslieville, and the brewery gives so many reasons to sit and stay from its beer, vibe and board games!

Delightful wee brewpub tucked away next to a park on a quiet street. Plenty of variety to satisfy any craft beer lover. The place is per friendly as well. Pictured is their Riverside Copper Pils, quote dark for the style and a bit bready, but went down a treat

A hidden gem. The fact that you access this from a pretty nondescript road, and the casual nature of how it operates makes it really cool. Feels like you’d have to know someone that knows someone to find it. Which is how I ended up here twice already. At this point though, I don’t think it is much of a secret anymore. The bartender is very nice. Relaxed, and treats everyone like a neighbor. The place has a really great neighborhood feel. Sitting here the other day, we felt like we were on vacation in some place else.

Cute brewery tucked away behind some houses - took a moment to find the place despite knowing the address.. It was a beautiful spring day when we went and the place was pretty busy, especially the spots out in the sun. This brewery is clearly a neighbourhood social spot. Super friendly staff that took the time to answer questions. We tried a few beers and enjoyed them all. Prices are average to high, although the cans to go are in my opinion a decent value. Couldn't find a food menu, though I think it exists as people were eating snacks on some of the tables (or they brought their own). All in all though, you are here for the beer. :)

There were about 5 beers on a tap so selection was a little limited. But the beers they did have very good. The layout and the ambiance there were great. I can see myself going back someday. Edit: I have been back several times now, great atmosphere and always a good time

Love this bar so much! We bring our dogs (now dog) which Francis lives it here. The people there are great. Board games to play. Beer is amazing. Paradox all the way. Snacks if you need. It's a bit tucked away but it's gem!

What a fantastic neighborhood brewery. Saulter street Brewery is my type of place. Great rustic feel in a 100+ year old building. Local bartender who was great to talk with. Fun artwork. Enjoyed having big screen TVs to watch the local sports. There were seats both at a long bar as well as couch types of seats for sitting around and talking while enjoying your pint. If you are looking for a tasting room with a very home type of feel, then this is your place. If you are looking for a restaurant which happens to brew beer, then I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Tracy and Rob were fabulous in helping us host a group of friends and family. They made us feel very welcome and we’re on top of every aspect of our celebration. The brews and the vibe were all on point. We will we’re thrilled…thank you both!

Super friendly staff great beer. Showed up with a group of 12 and they managed to find us a great spot in the back corner with all the brewery equipment. Was a pretty cool spot. We will definitely make this part of our next pub crawl in the east end.

What a great place. Open air on the warm days. It was stop #4 on our brewery tour. By now our Newby beer drinkers were quite versed on all things beer so we let them order for us. They chose wisely. I had the riverside copper. Such a tasty beer! It was nice and refreshing and went down very smooth. Unfortunately we only had a short window here, would have liked to try more options. Dog friendly as well, I spent some time chatting with a lovely Golden doodle.

Super down to earth brewery, very much a neighborhood shop. The place is dog friendly our pup sat with us the whole time. Even when he acted up a bit with another dog joining the party there were no eyebrows raised. We did what we could to calm him down but he's pretty reactive. Very pleased with the service and dog friendly attitude.

Maybe we were there on an off night but have to disagree with high ratings of this place. From a service perspective: You are a brew pub - offer flights. Offer food. Don’t hesitate to offer a different beer if a patron tells you the beer is very flat. From an ambiance perspective - skids of beer cans, no music on a Saturday summer night? From a beer perspective: time bomb watermelon lemonade sour tasted artificial. Craft beer?, only in the name. Tastes like corners are cut compared to e.g. Left Field, Blood Brothers, collective Arts, Nickel Brook to name a few better breweries.

Saulter Brewery Patio is one of my favorite patio in Toronto. I like that patio is not on main street, rather tucked in. Pretty quite. You only hear Go Train going by once in a while. Plenty of seatings are available. There are some patio are on the side in shade, some are in the sun. All their beer selections are solid. I love their signature copper pilsner, paradox ipa, japanese lager, Lime Wit( seasonal beer). Their price is resonable.

We stopped in today to try their brews using our craft beer passport. We tried the Paradox IPA and the Riverview Copper Pilsner. A great craft brewery tucked into the neighborhood. It was a busy spot this afternoon. The service is friendly and welcoming. Worth trying out!

The brewery has a chill, laidback vibe that makes it feel homey. It’s a great place to check if you haven’t been before and I can imagine people that live close by visit a lot but to me their beers are just ok, nothing too amazing. But that’s just because with Toronto’s growing craft beer scene I’m becoming spoiled. Also, if you’re having trouble finding the brewery, there is a small sign right before the park which will guide you behind the houses where the brewery is located.

Truly exceptional service and solid beer. Beer is more "traditional" than many other breweries in Toronto. If you miss malt and are kind of over sour-everything, this is the brewery for you. P.s. they have a good sour too.
